Liberty Gold Corp. Doubles Size Of Alaskan McCord Creek Gold Property & Announces Commencement Of 2012 Exploration …

PHOENIX, Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Liberty Gold Corp. (OTCBB: LBGO; "Liberty Gold" and/or "the Company") is pleased to announce that the Company has staked 19 additional Alaska State mineral claims to increase the size of its McCord Creek Property to 33 claims (4,620 acres). The Company has also approved proceeding with an approximate US$190,000 exploration program in 2012 for its McCord Creek Property gold project in central Alaska's Tolovana Mining District. The 2012 agreed program includes additional power auger assisted soil sampling, rock sampling, possible trenching and geophysics, with the objective of defining drill targets for the 2013 field season. Crews have now been mobilized and have commenced the sampling program. Endurance Gold Corporation (EGC) is managing the 2012 exploration program and Liberty Gold is funding the 2012 activities on the McCord property. The Company has an option to earn 60% joint venture interest in the McCord Creek Property.

In 2011, a program of grid-based, power auger assisted soil sampling and rock sampling was completed on the McCord Creek Property, which is located in the eastern extension of the Livengood gold district. The 2011 work program resulted in the discovery of 5 gold-in-soil anomalous zones with the maximum soil value exceeding 100 parts per billion ('ppb') gold. The two largest soil anomalies, exceeding 10 ppb gold, are 850 by 250 metres and 650 by 200 metres in size respectively. All of the soil anomalies lie within the same sedimentary and volcanic package of rocks that host International Tower Hill's (ITH) Money Knob deposit located on ITH's Livengood Property, which immediately adjoins the western side of Liberty Gold's McCord Creek Property. The Money Knob deposit on ITH's Livengood Property represents a resource estimate of 16.5 Moz Measured & Indicated at 0.22 grams per tonne cut-off (see ITH website for complete disclosure), making it one of the largest gold deposits discovered in 20 years.

The recently added claims and the existing anomalous zones on Liberty Gold's McCord Creek Property warrant additional exploration to pursue a deposit of similar nature to the Money Knob deposit. Reporting and assessment filings will be completed in the fall of 2012.

Lynn Harrison, Liberty Gold's President and CEO, commented: "Our 2012 exploration program for the McCord Creek Property will expand on the knowledge already gained through the 2011 soil sampling program and expand on those targets. Once program results are compiled in the fall, we anticipate identifying optimal targets that can be drilled in 2013. As well, the significantly expanded property further expands our presence and potential in the target area."

In order to earn a 60% joint venture interest, Liberty Gold must complete US$600,000 in exploration expenditures and make US$85,000 in cash payments over three years. Endurance Gold Corporation ("Endurance") is the current property owner and will operate the 2012 program on behalf of the Company. As part of the agreement, Liberty Gold has agreed to incur a minimum of US$150,000 in exploration expenditures in 2012 and has advanced sufficient funds to Endurance to undertake the 2012 field program.

Liberty Energy Adds Acreage in Texas County

Liberty Energy Corp. revealed further details on its newly acquired acreage in Eastland County, Texas. The 112 acre lease is located within Eastland County, approximately 80 miles west of Fort Worth, Texas.

The Company has confirmed that there are two major producing reservoirs that are widespread within this area. The first, Marble Falls, a prolific oil and gas producing reservoir with production being generated from several channel sands found within this Lower Pennsylvanian formation. The second, Mississippian-Duffer limestone, predominantly produces gas with some oil shows. The Duffer formation lies unconformably below the Marble Falls formation. Both zones are widespread in Eastland County and have been highly productive throughout Texas Railroad Commission District 7B.

The (Mississippian) Barnet Shale is also present in this area. Although its thickness is limited to approximately 50 feet in this area, this geological structure is among the most prolific oil and gas producing areas of Texas. This shale underlies the Duffer Limestone, and is thought to be a source for much of the hydrocarbon found in the reservoirs above.

The Bend Arch has had a significant effect on the Barnett Shale regarding its burial history and geo-thermal makeup. The Bend Arch-Fort Worth Basin Province resulted in estimated means of 26.7 trillion cubic feet of gas (TCFG), 98.5 million barrels of oil (MMBO), and a mean of 1.1 billion barrels of natural gas liquids (BBNGL).3 Nearly all of the undiscovered gas resource (98 percent, or 26.2 TCFG) is considered to be in continuous accumulations of non-associated gas trapped in strata of two of the three Mississippian-age Barnett Shale AUs of the Barnett-Paleozoic TPS.4 The third AU within this TPS, the Hypothetical Basin-Arch Barnett Shale Oil AU, has not yet been quantitatively assessed because of a lack of data. The Barnett-Paleozoic TPS is estimated to contain a mean of 409.2 BCFG of conventional gas, or about 88 percent of all undiscovered conventional gas, and about 64.6 MMB of conventional oil, or about 65 percent of all undiscovered oil in the Bend Arch-Fort Worth Basin Province.

"We are extremely pleased to have secured this lease which is situated in the heart of existing oil and natural gas fields. This is a formation that has been consistently produced by majors for years including Devon Energy, Chesapeak Energy and ConocoPhillips. We intend to extensively study the surrounding fields and formations in which oil and natural gas have been recovered. We then intend to initiate a detailed geological study of the acreage that will determine how we further develop the property," commented Ian Spowart, CEO of Liberty Energy Corp.

Liberty Star Airlifting Diamond Core Drill to Copper/Gold/Moly Big Chunk Camp, Alaska

TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. (Liberty Star or the Company) (LBSR: OTCQB) is pleased to announce that the Liberty Star field camp construction managed by Alaskan Native owned MBGS LLC is on schedule. MBGS general contractor Jim Stevens states that his team will begin to airlift housing and a diamond core drill rig to the Native allotment camp site within the Big Chunk Super Project (BCSP) south block beginning the week of August 5; the camp is scheduled to be operational by August 10.

Heavy equipment and housing will be transported by a high-lift Huey chopper, while staff and light equipment will be transported by a small helicopter. Twelve people will be in the camp, including Alaskan Native MBGS staff, drill crews and geologic staff. The spartan camp includes basic amenities and a broad-band Internet over satellite hook-up.

On August 8 the Companys Field Manager and Lead Field Technician Jay Crawford and Porphyry Copper specialist Geologist Greg McGilvray will meet in Vancouver, BC to receive training on the new MBGS Innov-X handheld GPS XRF Analyzer. The new handheld analyzer uses a miniaturized X-ray tube with electronically cooled silicon detectors to provide fast metal content measurements with accuracy and precision in the field prior to formal assay. Jay Crawford has spent many months using this type of equipment, but will receive updated training with the new analyzer. From Vancouver, the two will fly to Anchorage and then to Port Alsworth, Alaska. Jay and Greg will helicopter to the BCSP camp shortly after. The drill rig is scheduled for arrival at the BCSP camp at about the same time. Drilling on the proposed 10 holes can start within a few days of the drills delivery to the field. In addition to the Innov-X Analyzer, the geologic team will be equipped with other sophisticated gear that will make field analysis more accurate and less subject to error. The onsite team will be able to communicate immediate analysis of core and send data via satellite Internet connection to the head office in Tucson or any other location for specialists to review and render their professional analysis.

This equipment in addition to the XRF includes:

All of these devices are digital (with the exception of the optical microscope) and their data will be recorded with the data logger, and joined with the geologic log of the core. All data will be recorded on the Big Chunk field camp computer server and then transmitted by a satellite uplink to the Internet and batch transmitted to Tucson overnight every night and captured on the Tucson office server for distribution and analysis by the appropriate experts on our Technical Advisory Board, as well as Chief Geologist Jim Briscoe and other specialists when needed.

After all data collection, the core is cut in half (split) using a diamond saw. Half of each 10 foot interval will be bagged and secured in locked storage controlled by Jay Crawford. The samples will be shipped by helicopter, and then by Federal Express to the MEG sample prep lab near Reno, Nev. As required by regulation, a chain of custody is recorded at every stop; this is to prevent tampering with the drill core so it cannot be adulterated (salted) with any foreign material either intentionally or accidently. After sample preparation, including addition of Quality Assurance Quality Control (QA/QC) samples, assay pulps of about 200 grams from each sample interval will be air shipped to ALS Certified assay labs in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. After assay ALS will ship assays by e-mail to the Tucson office where it will be combined with the visual core log and all the other collected data. These data logs will then be analyzed by our geologic team and conclusions made. All this takes time but news releases will be made after drill core is evaluated.

James A. Briscoe James A. Briscoe, Professional Geologist, AZ CA CEO/Chief Geologist Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp.

Forward-Looking Statements

Statements in this news release that are not historical are forward-looking statements. Forward-looking statements in this news release include that the BCSP camp will be operational by August 10, that a diamond core drill rig will be airlifted to the camp site, that drilling can proceed within days of its arrival, and that drill core will be obtained and prepared for assay. Factors which may delay or prevent these forward-looking statements from being realized include: the failure of our exploration program to identify targets; we may not be able to raise sufficient funds to complete our intended exploration, keep our properties or carry on operations; and an inability to continue exploration due to weather, logistical problems, labor or equipment problems or hazards even if funds are available. Despite encouraging data there may be no commercially exploitable mineralization on our properties. Readers should refer to the risk disclosures in the Companys recent 10-K and the Companys other periodic reports filed from time to time with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Liberty Mutual in talks over RDS naming rights

The Irish Times - Monday, August 6, 2012

CIARN HANCOCK, Business Affairs Correspondent

US INSURER Liberty Mutual has held talks with the Royal Dublin Society about acquiring the naming rights to the RDSs main arena, which hosts Leinsters home rugby matches and the annual Dublin Horse Show.

The RDS is believed to be seeking about 15 million for the rights for a period of 10 years.

These funds would be used to help fund a 17 million redevelopment of the existing stadium into a 23,000 capacity arena from the current 18,500.

In turn, this would help to fund the foundation activities of the RDS, which includes funding for the arts, and science and technology.

The RDS intends to knock the existing, and ageing, two-storey Anglesea Stand and replace it with a new structure offering modern hospitality and spectator facilities.

Liberty is on a short list of potential sponsors that the RDS is negotiating with. Dubai-based airline Emirates has also been linked with the rights.

In May, RDS chief executive Michael Duffy said it was negotiating with four parties.

The US insurer has made no secret of its desire to secure sponsorship to help build recognition of its brand here since its takeover of Quinn Insurance in late 2011 and its rebranding of the business earlier this year. It is also believed to be in talks with RT about sponsoring the Late Late Show.

Liberty Dethrones Gorman With Ninth-Inning Rally

Posted: Aug. 5, 2012 | 2:02 a.m.

Liberty's Michael Vargas was well aware of Bishop Gorman's credentials as he stepped to the plate in the top of the ninth inning Saturday.

He knew that the defending champion Titans had won five of the past six American Legion state baseball championships, and he knew they had manhandled their opponents in four consecutive wins to reach the title game.

But none of that mattered to Vargas.

In the Patriots' first championship appearance, Vargas drove a two-run single to right field to tie the game with one out. Liberty scored the go-ahead run one batter later on a throwing error and held on for a 4-3 victory at Wilson Stadium.

"We beat a great team," Liberty coach Mike Eshragh said. "Gorman has been here before. They've done that, and they've got the experience."

The win not only dethroned the Titans (40-11) but also spoiled their impressive march through the losers' bracket after an opening-round loss to Coronado.

"But you've got to beat the best to be the best," Eshragh said.

The Titans jumped ahead early, taking a 1-0 first-inning lead on Cody Roper's run-scoring double. A single by Kenny Meimerstorf in the third put Gorman up 2-0.

The Patriots (26-8) made the most of two singles and two Gorman errors in the sixth to cut their deficit to 2-1.

Liberty Ross bans Rupert Sanders from directing Snow White sequel after Kristen Stewart affair

Liberty Ross has reportedly forgiven her wayward husband Rupert Sanders after it was revealed that the Snow White And The Huntsman film director had an affair with leading lady Kristen Stewart.

However, it looks Liberty is a long way off from actually trusting her husband of 10 years as she said to have banned him from directing the SWATH sequel.

Liberty let it be known in no uncertain terms that Rupert cant direct the sequel to Snow White And The Huntsman, a source has told Radar Online They are trying to work things out after he was caught having an affair, and that is one of the sticking points. She just doesnt want him to ever work with Kristen again.

Rupert is saidto be disappointed that he wont get the chance to be involved in the follow up, but thankfully he has the sense to do what his wife asks,

Rupert is obviously disappointed because Snow White And The Huntsman was his directorial debut, and he had hoped on building on that with a follow-up after some decent reviews.

But he knows his actions were inexcusable, and hes going to have to bite the bullet and listen to his wife on this one.

The source continued: Kristen, as the films lead, will get preference over Rupert and Universal will just find another director.

We pretty sure that not working with Kristen Stewart ever again is the very least that Rupert can do.

Compact Liberty 4×4 is Jeep’s old-school stepchild

Jeeps midsize Liberty sport-utility is decidedly old school. Consider it as a sort of modern replacement for the much-loved Jeep Cherokee, a vehicle that had its origins way back in 1984 when the late American Motors owned the Jeep brand. Back then, the Cherokee broke new ground by employing a unibody structure in place of the traditional body-on-frame construction common to off-road vehicles. The Liberty also goes the unibody route, as do nearly all the current compact crossover vehicles, but for Jeep duty its a very heavy-duty unibody structure. The Libertys suspension is biased toward off-road application, which means that although its tough enough to handle rough stuff in the boonies, its also fairly softly sprung. Toss in long suspension travel and a high center of gravity, and the on-road result is a fair bit of body roll through corners, but a relatively comfortable highway ride. Thus designed, the Liberty 44 traverses rocks and ruts other CUVs wouldnt or shouldnt dare attempt. The tall, boxy styling permits upright seating and plenty of head room, along with excellent visibility. The well-padded front seats in our Sport-model tester were quite comfortable; the rear bench seat not so much. The cabin feels narrow, exacerbated by the huge transmission hump that eats into footwell space and the intrusion of front-door armrests. The dash and doors are clad with uninviting, industrial-looking, hard black plastics. Big, round gauges are easy to read, and the secondary controls are simple, sturdy and generally self-explanatory. The overall effect is a design thats at least a generation behind the Libertys fresher competitors, but still functional.

But where the Liberty really falls behind the times is its propulsion.

Power comes from a 3.7-liter V-6 producing a modest 210 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. Shackled to an archaic four-speed automatic transmission, acceleration is at best sluggish, and fuel economy is mediocre.

Chrysler will discontinue production this month of the 3.7 V-6 and possibly replace it with a smaller, 3.2-liter version of its much-acclaimed 3.6-liter, DOHC Pentastar V-6 when a modern, redesigned Liberty is introduced early next year as a 2014 model. No doubt a new transmission will accompany the engine upgrade. Assuredly the redesign will address all the issues that keep the current Liberty from being very competitive in an ever-expanding market niche.

But count on this: The new Jeep will dominate the segment in off-road ability. It will still be a Jeep, after all.

Lady Liberty's Allure Endures

It's fitting that the only way to get to the Statue of Liberty is by boat. After all, it was by boat that the immigrants of old the grandparents and great grandparents of many Americans arrived in this country. As they entered New York Harbor, they would be greeted by the majestic, 22-story monument her torch a beacon of liberty, welcoming them to the new world.

Visiting the statue today, you can witness a similar sight. To get to the island you need to travel by ferry from either Battery Park in New York City or Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. Of course this ride is far shorter than the trip from Europe, but on summer days the boat is hot and brimming with huddled masses of tourists, who by journey's end, are definitely yearning to breathe free.

The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island, and its full name is Liberty Enlightening the World. A gift from the people of France, the statue was dedicated in 1886. About 4.5 million people visit her each year and it's easy to see why. In a modern city of soaring sky scrapers, Lady Liberty stands out as unique a great work of art on a truly colossal scale.

Dennis Mulligan, supervisory park ranger for visitor services at the Statue of Liberty National Monument, says people are drawn to the statue because she "represents something that is still so relevant in this world. People come to reflect and remember what an amazing gift liberty is."

These visitors come from all backgrounds and from all around the globe. Mulligan says "when you walk around the island it is not uncommon to hear 20 or 25 different languages spoken."

Currently the inside of the statue is closed as renovations are made. Though the interior of the statue itself will not be altered, renovations to the interior of the base will be made and include the addition of new code compliant stairways, updates to mechanical, electrical and fire suppression systems, new elevators and renovated bathrooms. The inside is not scheduled to reopen until at least the fall, but no exact date has been set.

Even when the interior of the monument is open, only a fraction of the 12,000 to 15,000 thousand people who visit Liberty Island each day are allowed in. Staff allows 3,500 people a day to enter the structure and only 250 a day are able to go up to the statue's crown. Although some same day passes to go inside the pedestal are given out early each morning, Mulligan recommended advance reservations. He said you usually need to book a pedestal pass about one to two weeks in advance and a visit to the crown usually requires a reservation made 3 to 6 months in advance. Visitor access to the observation area on the torch has been closed since 1916.

However, even just visiting the outside of the statue is well worth the trip. I grew up not far from New York City, and had seen the statue from a distance many times but I had never visited Liberty Island prior to this story. Standing in its shadow, the statue is beautiful and awe inspiring and I was surprised by just how big it is.

Liberty Island is also full of historical information about the statue and there's a restaurant and picnic area with great views of the harbor and lower Manhattan. Also, Liberty Island is next to Ellis Island and you can stop at Ellis Island and the Immigration Museum on the way back to Manhattan for no extra admission charge.

Mulligan said the park is at its least crowded during the week right after Labor Day because kids have just gone back to school.

Liberty Ross and Rupert Sanders

Liberty Ross wants to meet with Robert Pattinson.

The 'Snow White and the Huntsman' actress was devastated when her husband Rupert Sanders had a fling with Robert's girlfriend Kristen Stewart and now she hopes to have a chat with the 'Twilight Saga' hunk so they can compare stories.

A source told Hollywoodlife.com: 'Liberty is still furious with what happened and wants answers. She has not spoken to Rob yet, but wants to see him and compare stories. She is hoping they can bring some comfort to each other.'

This comes after it was revealed last week that Robert wants to talk to Liberty to get some clarity on the situation and check if Kristen's story that there was no full blown affair is true.

An insider said: 'He needs to know for his own peace of mind if theirs was just a fleeting moment.

'He hopes Liberty can help him find the answers he so desperately craves.

'Nothing is very clear at the moment but perhaps a meeting would lend some clarity to the situation. He needs to know the truth.'

LIBERTY Dental Plan Sponsors Smile Keepers Program for Seventh Year

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

LIBERTY Dental Plan (LIBERTY) proudly observed their seventh annual sponsorship of Smile Keepers, a community dental screening program in Sacramento County. LIBERTYs contribution for the dental hygiene public service program received extremely positive results, with over 1,100 local school-age children receiving valuable dental care from this years efforts.

The Smile Keepers team of volunteer staff took mobile dental vans to over 23 public elementary schools and community events last year to reach high-risk, low-income areas where local children are less likely to have the opportunity to see a dentist.

Over 660 kindergarten-aged children learned the importance of dental hygiene when Smile Keepers visited elementary classes across Sacramento, and provided the young patients with oral check-ups and at least one coat of varnish. Another 446 kids received dental screenings, fluoride varnish applications, and referral resources at community events such as Back to School Fairs, and Family Resource Center Events. Additionally, over 5,000 LIBERTY fliers containing proper oral health tips were distributed to children and their parents.

Melinda Bitney, Sacramento Network Manager of LIBERTY Dental Plan, commended Kate Varanelli, Sacramento County Dental Health Program Coordinator, and The Smile Keepers team of volunteer staff for their successes with this program and its mission to introduce healthy dental habits to the children of Sacramento County. LIBERTY Dental Plan has continued its financial commitment in support of this invaluable low-income preschool oral health program in Sacramento County since 2005, providing dental screenings, fluoride varnish applications, oral health education information and follow-up on those children needing dental services. LIBERTY is proud of our partnership with The Smile Keepers Program and the benefits it brings to the children of Sacramento County.
