Twitter turned Will Smith into the 2020 version of the crying Jordan meme and it’s hilarious – MSN Money

Provided by For The Win

The Will Smith memes have only existed for just under 24 hours now but we can already tell that this is going to last fora while.

Smith appearance on Jada Pinkett-Smiths Red Table Talk showwhere the couple talked about their split and Jada Pinkett-Smiths relationship or entanglement with August Alsina. They had an interesting conversation about it, certainly. And points were definitely made.

However, we are here to talk about absolutely none of that.

What we are here for to discuss, folks, is how the internet took a heartfelt conversation between Will Smith and his wife and turned him into the new crying Jordan meme of 2020.

During the conversation the two were having, Pinkett-Smith began to describe her relationship with Alsina as an entanglement. While she explained, Will Smith madethisface.

And this one.

Now, to be clear, there was no beef between these two during this conversation. They were broken up. It was fine for Jada to be in a relationship with whoever she wanted.

But this is the internet. And in this digital world we live in, jokes are much, much better than facts. And so all the jokes poured in.Twitter went crazy.

But then, even outside of their conversation, the meme just took on a life of its own. Smiths face became the internets face for 2020.

Throw this one in the Twitter history books, folks. Well be seeing it for years to come.

Jordan Henderson avoids surgery and will lift Premier League trophy – The Guardian

Jrgen Klopp has confirmed Jordan Henderson will miss the rest of the season through injury but will lift the Premier League trophy at Liverpools final home game against Chelsea.

Henderson injured his left knee during Liverpools 3-1 win at Brighton on Wednesday to leave Klopp fearing a lengthy absence that could impact on the 2020-21 campaign. The Liverpool manager admits it came as a big relief when scans revealed surgery would not be required and he expects the influential captain to be available for the start of the title defence.

Hendo is the best possible of all bad news, Klopp said. It is a knee injury but no surgery is needed. He will not play any more this season but I am pretty positive he will start the new season. It is not cool but it is the best news we could get. Hendo is a quick healer and he will be back soon.

It was an awful moment when he went down. We knew immediately. In Germany you would say he is an animal Hendo fights with everything and if he has pain he will never tell you. He can really deal well with pain so it was a complete mood killer.

Klopp admits Henderson could have missed Liverpool receiving the Premier League trophy at Anfield had he required surgery. Instead the midfielder will be in rehab when Frank Lampards side visit on 22 July and available to add the Premier League to the Champions League, Club World Cup and Super Cup trophies he has lifted in the past 14 months.

Hendo will be there and he will wear the match kit and everything will be fine, Klopp said before Saturdays game against Burnley. When we knew the injury was not as serious as we first thought it was a big relief for all of us, a big relief because we really thought for the role he played in the last few years until now he deserves to be in that spot at that moment [when the trophy is presented].

But life is like it is. If he would have had the surgery he would have been in hospital and it would have been difficult. But now no surgery needed, rehab starts immediately and in a few weeks training and playing again.

All the boys want him to be there. One of the first things I heard after we won the league was Virgil [van Dijk] telling Hendo: You can do the shuffle again! I am not sure he will be able to do the shuffle now but that is the biggest problem now.

’90 Day Fianc’: Brittany Banks Reveals How She Really Feels About Living in Jordan – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

90 Day Fianc: The Other Way star Brittany Banks moved to Jordan to start her life with her fianc Yazan. So far, things havent exactly been smooth sailing thanks, in part, to their cultural differences.

Almost immediately after Brittany arrived in Jordan she and Yazan got into an argument because Brittany hugged some of the 90 Day Fianc crew members and packed alcohol in her bag, two things Yazan says he asked her not to do. However, despite what he said on camera, Brittany says Yazan never told her not to hug the crew or bring alcohol.

Seeing Yazan yell at me like that, it was super cringey. I dont like people yelling at me, especially a grown a*s man. Thats not cute to me, she told Entertainment Tonight on June 24.

RELATED: 90 Day Fianc: Brittany Says Yazan Treats Her Like an ObjectYoure Not Going to Talk to Me Like That

Though Brittany found Yazans behavior cringey, she didnt find it shocking and knew the outburst was out of character.

That behavior in that moment, it was shocking, but after dealing with my ex and, you know, I did, like, grow up for the most part in Palm Beach but I am from 79th street in Chicago, so not much scares me, she said. Hes usually very calm and very sweet and very understanding so I was like, You must need a nap or something.'

Brittanys time in Jordan might have gotten off to a rocky start but, so far, she told ET that she loves Jordan.

Jordans amazing, she said. I like the people, I like the culture. I like the different things it has to offer, the natural beauty of it, the deserts and all that stuff, she said.

The rapper went on to say that the country is different than she initially imagined.

When I went I was like, Wow, this is so different than what you would expect hearing on the news or something like that. They try to make it seem so bad and dirty and stuff but its not, she said.

Brittany also loves Yazans parents (though she hinted in the interview that there will be more family drama throughout the season). And she understands where theyre coming from.

I do love Yazans parents. I dont know exactly where his parents stand. I cant speak for them and I wont speak for them, but I will speak to say I love them and I do think they try their best to deal with the situations at hand with their experiences and their lifestyle, she said.

I think theyre just doing the best they can, and I dont blame them and thats their son, 100 percent, so thats their baby and I understand all of that, Brittany continued.

On Wednesday, the New Orleans Pelicans were among the eight teams to travel to the NBA season restart at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.

Upon arrival, players must immediately self isolate and submit two negative coronavirus tests at least 24 hours apart before they can begin practicing. Six of the 22 teams set to restart the season arrived on Tuesday while the remaining eight will travel to Disney on Thursday.

Victorian coronavirus victim Alf Jordan remembered as ‘one-of-a-kind’ great-grandfather – ABC News

Gabrielle Cordwell says she does not want "another family to have to go through this" after her "one-of-a-kind" grandfather Alf Jordan died from COVID-19 in Melbourne this week.

The 90-year-old great-grandfather died in hospital on Friday and was a resident of Glendale Aged Care in Werribee, in Melbourne's south-west.

As of Sunday, 10 other cases of coronavirus have been detected at the aged care facility nine staff members and an 85-year-old female resident.

Ms Cordwell said her grandfather became unwell about Friday, July 3, then got progressively worse over the next few days.

He was transported to hospital last Monday, tested positive for COVID-19 shortly afterwards, and died on Friday.

"We were blessed to have him for as long as we did, but he died alone, and no-one should have to die alone," she said.

"There was no-one there to comfort him if he was frightened."

Glendale Aged Care director of operations Glenn Hancock said the female resident who tested positive for coronavirus was asymptomatic and was being cared for at the home.

"Given the resident is not displaying any respiratory symptoms, and is otherwise well, we have been instructed by the Department of Health and Human Services to care for her in quarantine at the home," he said.

A total of 207 staff and 277 residents were tested and 472 people returned negative results. The results of two residents are still pending.

Mr Hancock said contact tracing was underway for all cases and staffing levels at the home were stable.

"As soon as we initiated our outbreak procedures, all residents were taken safely back to their rooms, and are being well looked after by our care staff, who are wearing full PPE," he said.

"The home was closed to visitors and thoroughly disinfected, and we began to test everyone in the home."

Ms Cordwell said her grandfather loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

"They have such fond memories of him he had cookies and drinks, he made sure they had everything," she said.

"He was super close with all the children and he'll be greatly missed."

She said Mr Jordan had "lots of hugs and kisses left" to give and receive.

"Alf was one of a kind and I think anyone that knew Alf would know he was loud, he could clear a room with his voice," she said.

"He loved to fix things and do things and usually everything he touched ended up a bit different to the way it should have been."

Ms Cordwell also said holding a funeral under current restrictions would be difficult for Mr Jordan's large family.

"Twelve kids, plus partners, plus grandkids, plus great-grandkids, plus great-great-grandchildren it's not possible, sadly," she said.

"It's sad that it's going to be like this for him and that's why it's so hard for everybody, you really can't mourn."

She urged Melburnians to adhere to social-distancing restrictions and try and stop coronavirus from spreading further.

"We can all work through this together and try and beat this thing, that's all we want," she said.

"We just don't want another family to have to go through this either."

Mr Jordan was the 107th person to die of coronavirus in Australia.

Packers: Jordan Love third-highest rated rookie QB on Madden 21 – Lombardi Ave

Jordan Love (Photo by: Sam Wasson/Getty Images)

The new Madden NFL 21 video game will be released later this summer, but we now know some of the player ratings for the upcoming season. One of those players is the Green Bay Packers first-round pick Jordan Love.

Many of the rookie ratings have been releasedfor this years game. Love is 11th for overall rating among the rookie ratings released so far, and third among quarterbacks.

Interestingly, he has a higher overall rating than Justin Herbert, who was selected sixth overall and 20 spots higher than Love in this years draft. Herbert could start for the Los Angeles Chargers right away.

Rookie ratings are often relatively low in the Madden video game series, but the Packers first-round pick shouldnt be too disappointed with his rating in this years game.

His overall rating is 71, which compares to 76 for first overall pick Joe Burrow. While Loves rating on short passes, medium passes, deep passes, as well as throwing on the run, are lower than Burrows, there isnt much in it.

Where Love does have the advantage is with his throw power rating; Love has a 90 rating for THP, Burrow an 86 rating.

Barring an injury to Aaron Rodgers this season, Love wont have too many opportunities to improve his rating, especially with a reduced preseason this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Unlike many of the other rookie quarterbacks this year, Love will begin his NFL career as a backup. It might not help his Madden rating for 2020 too much, but it absolutely could in future years. If Love is given time to develop, he has star potential. And learning from Rodgers in the coming seasons isnt a bad thing.

What are your thoughts on the rookie Madden 21 ratings?

Liverpool fear Jordan Henderson could miss start of next season – The Guardian

Jrgen Klopp fears Jordan Henderson could miss the start of next season with the knee injury suffered in Liverpools win at Brighton on Wednesday.

The Liverpool captain was forced off after a second-half collision with Yves Bissouma and underwent a scan on his return to Merseyside to determine whether he sustained ligament damage. Henderson is expected to receive the results on Friday but there are concerns at Liverpool that the influential midfielder faces a prolonged spell on the sidelines that could include the beginning of the Premier League champions title defence. Klopp expressed fears over Hendersons injury after the 3-1 victory, saying: I know it will not be nothing.

The 30-year-old, who flew back with the team from Brighton, would be a severe loss to the Liverpool manager. He would also miss Englands Nations League matches against Iceland and Denmark on 5 and 8 September respectively should the clubs concerns be realised.Henderson is due to lift the Premier League trophy at Anfield on 22 July after Liverpools final home game of the season against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Fulham are set to go to a tribunal to decide a compensation fee for Harvey Elliott with the clubs poles apart in their valuation of the 17-year-old forward.

Elliott moved to Liverpool from Craven Cottage on academy terms last summer and has been part of Klopps first-team squad for most of the season. His progress was rewarded this week with a first professional contract.

Fulham are believed to have been offered 750,000 for the highly rated teenager, whom they value at closer to 7m. Unless there is a breakthrough in negotiations a decision will have to be taken by a tribunal, with the fee decided by the Professional Football Compensation Committee.

Elliott has made eight appearances for Liverpools first team and Klopp recently cited the players development as a reason why the Premier League champions may not be busy in the transfer market.

Police investigating after South Jordan officer’s car vandalized on Fourth of July – KSL.com

SOUTH JORDAN Detectives with the West Jordan Police Department are investigating after a South Jordan police officers vehicle was vandalized sometime on the Fourth of July.

The officer was parked in the driveway of his West Jordan home when someone spray-painted the words Black Lives Matter in bright red along the side of his car.

West Jordan Police Sgt. J.C. Holt doesnt think the person who did this is connected to the Black Lives Matter movement in any way.

He felt its probably someone looking to create chaos and division.

Its not out of the ordinary to see a police car vandalized in some way, but whats different about this one is that it was done at the officers home.

Its concerning to me, Holt said. And I think if you were to speak with most officers on a personal level, they would tell you that its concerning. Fortunately for us, we havent had this happening. It wouldnt be fair to say that weve had a lot of this. This is the first incident weve had in our city where something has happened to a police car.

Holt also said there arent any home security cameras where this happened, so they dont have it on video.

Within the South Jordan Police Department, the message has gone out to officers to maybe park inside their garage if theyre able to.

If you have any information on who may have done this, West Jordan police would like to hear from you at (801) 256-2000.

The Jordan Mars 270 Low Is Accented In Bright Orange And Aqua Hits – Sneaker News

Quite possibly due to the fact that Jordan Brand has had a busy schedule revealing their Fall retro lineup as well as newer lifestyle offerings such as the Air Cadence and Jordan Delta Breathe, theyve given the backseat to the Jordan Mars 270 Low. Last seen before the commencement of the Spring season in a Pure Money makeover, the silhouette is prepared to grow its family with another iteration here shortly.

From its side profile, youll notice that given the nature of its color-blocking that features black leathers, white overlays, and orange Swooshes, they almost channel a Shattered Backboard type of aesthetic. However, the branded areas such as its midfoot tabs, heel tabs, tongue logos, and insoles usher in bright aqua blue blasts that complete its design with a retro-esque vibe reminiscent of the 1996 NBA All-Star uniforms. Grab a detailed look here below, and be on the lookout for these to drop quietly on Nike.com and through select retailers in the coming weeks.

Jordan- HPC marks World Population Day with call to safeguard health, rights of women, girls – MENAFN.COM

(MENAFN - Jordan Times) AMMAN The COVID-19 pandemic has 'laid bare' health and socio-economic challenges that directly impact all population groups, particularly the most vulnerable, said Higher Population Council (HPC) Secretary General Abla Amawi.

As Jordan commemorated World's Population Day on Saturday under theme 'Safeguarding the health and rights of women and girls around the world even during COVID-19', Amawi said that the pandemic is expected to have long-term implications on human capital, according to an HPC statement.

'It is more than just a health crisis and will result in repercussions on all aspects of life,' the statement quoted Amawi as saying.

The HPC secretary general stressed that the crisis response plans must integrate and focus on population dynamics and the challenges faced by different population groups, including the unmet needs for spacing pregnancies or limiting births among nearly 14.2 per cent of currently married women who are not using contraceptives, with rates varying by governorate.

The 2017-2018 Population and Family Health Survey of 2012 further revealed that 20.3 per cent of women with unmet needs have no education and 16.8 per cent are in the lowest wealth quintile, the statement said.

The 2017-2018 survey revealed that 21 per cent of ever-married women aged 15-49 have experienced physical violence at least once since the age of 15, while 2 per cent have experienced physical violence during pregnancy, Amawi said in the statement.

Additionally, 26 per cent of ever-married women aged 15-49 have experienced spousal physical, sexual or emotional violence: 21 per cent have experienced emotional violence, 18 per cent physical violence and 5 per cent spousal sexual violence, the statement said.

Only one in five women, 19 per cent, who have experienced a form of physical or sexual violence, sought help to stop the violence, while two-thirds of women have never sought help or told anyone about the violence, according to the survey's results.

The HPC highlighted the findings of the State of World Population-2020 report published by UNFPA, which showed a mixed picture of progress on gender equality globally.

Despite strong advances towards gender parity in access to healthcare and education, discrimination and marginalisation are still evident around the world, according to the report.

In 57 countries, only 55 per cent of women aged 15-49, who are married or in a union, make their own decisions about the use of contraceptives and reproductive health services, according to the report's findings.

As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads, the number of women unable to access family planning, facing unintended pregnancies, gender-based violence and other harmful practices could increase, the statement said.

Statistics have revealed the enormous impact of COVID-19 on women as health systems become overloaded, facilities close or only provide a limited set of services to women and girls, and many choose to skip important medical checkups due to fear of contracting the virus, read the statement.

To mark World Population Day, the HPC will organise an array of activities including a national webinar on sexual and reproductive health during the time of COVID-19, and will also release a study titled 'An assessment of the current situation of sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights awareness programmes for adolescents and youth in Jordan'.

Established in 1989, World Population Day was inspired by interest in the day the world's population reached approximately 5 billion on July 11, 1987. According to the United Nations, the world's population currently exceeds 7.7 billion and is expected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, and 11 billion by 2100.

After the Air Jordan 1 OG Dior sneakers debuted during Diors pre-fall 2020 show in Miami in December, sneakerheads and industry insiders alike went into a sartorial tizzy about the first-ever streetwear-meets-luxury mashup from the storied couture house and Air Jordan.

The collaboration celebrates the 35th anniversary of the release of the Air Jordan 1. The makings of that iconic pair are all there on the new one an 80s-inspired high-top silhouette, the Jumpman Wings logo, that signature swoosh while the hand-painted shade of Dior gray is a nod to the French labels signature hue (and a favorite of the founding couturier, Christian Dior).

Originally scheduled to drop in the spring, the coronavirus pandemic caused a delayed release.

On June 25, the public was able to register to shop the drop. According to a report from WWD, 5 million people signed up despite the production of only several thousand sneakers.

With a retail price tag of $2,200 (the low-top version retails for $2,000), the limited-edition high top is now reselling on sites like StockX for over $14,000.

Landing an actual pair is mission impossible, but a newly released video which taps into Dior Creative Director Kim Jones deep-rooted love of the Air Jordan offers swoon-worthy close-ups of this years most coveted sneaker.

Whistleblower accusing AG Barr of antitrust misconduct failed to disclose key information, Jordan says – Fox News

EXCLUSIVE:House Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, revealed Thursday that a Justice Department(DOJ) whistleblower who alleged antitrust misconduct by Attorney General Bill Barr had failed to disclose information tothe panel about his previous unsuccessful complaints concerning the same matters.

Career DOJ employee John Elias garnered widespread media attention by alleging in testimony that Barr sought unfounded reviews of cannabiscompanies because he "did not like the nature of their underlying business." Elias also charged that the Trump administration sought to harass automakers with antitrust inquiries after the automakers angered the president by announcingthey would comply with state emissions rules.

Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim, however, wrote to Jordan on July 1 that Elias -- who previously served as Delrahim's acting chief of staff -- had offered testimony that was "misleading and lack[ing]critical facts." Delrahim added that Elias also lacked any first-hand knowledge about the "matters about which he testified" -- and it also emerged that he had sought a job with House Democrats as they triedto impeach President Trump.

WHISTLEBLOWER ADMITS SEEKING JOB WITH HOUSE DEMS DURING IMPEACHMENT

In a response letter to Delrahim obtained Thursday by Fox News, Jordan noted that the DOJ's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) had reviewed Elias' claims, and rejected both of them.

"The Director and Chief Counsel of OPR, Jeffrey R. Ragsdale -- a career official with over 30 years of experience at various levels at the Justice Department -- found the allegations to be without merit and closed OPRs investigation," Jordan wrote in the letter. "Chairman [Jerrold] Nadler made no attempt to factor in OPRs review and exculpatory findings to the context of Mr. Eliass allegations and thereby deprived the Committee of critical information."

The DOJ's probe into automakers, Jordan added, had been closed quickly after the antitrust division determined that "contrary to initial reports, the automakers had not entered into an [anti-competitive or illegal] agreement" in restraint of trade.

While Trump had publicly attacked the automakers, Delrahim and Jordan each pointed out that the DOJ had begun a preliminary review of potential antitrust violations "weeks before" Trump's comments.

"Eliass allegations appear to reflect political or policy differences with the Departments political leadership rather than exposing real waste, fraud, and abuse," Jordan continued. "In 2015, Mr. Elias served on detail in the Obama-Biden White House in the office responsible for presidentialappointments. More recently, as Mr. Elias conceded during the hearing, he sought a detail from the Democrats began investigations with the goal of impeaching the President."

Last month, Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., had a testy exchange with Elias, whoadmitted during a House Judiciary Committee hearing that he sought to work for House Democrats during the Trumpimpeachment proceedings.

House Democrats, Jordan asserted in his letter, were all but complicit in the misleading headlines that emerged from Elias' testimony.

"Chairman Nadler has an unfortunate practice of politicizing the Committee to attack the Trump Administration," Jordan wrote. "While whistleblowers play a vital role in rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government, we should not mistake policy or political disagreements for misconduct. This is especially true in the context of antitrust, which has historically enjoyed significant bipartisan support."

House Democrats began investing claims earlier this year that Barr engaged in politically motivated overreach as attorney general. The second whistleblower, former Justice Department prosecutor Aaron Zelinsky, testified that Barr and senior staffers gave preferential treatment to Roger Stone during sentencing proceedings due to his relationship with Trump.

Barr is expected to testify before the committee next month.

Fox News' Thomas Barrabi contributed to this report.

Twitter turned Will Smith into the 2020 version of the crying Jordan meme and it’s hilarious – For The Win

Mostly because, well, its none of our business.

40 Under 40 Awards: Jaco, Jones And Jordan – The Waterways Journal – The Waterways Journal

For the third year, 40 of the industrys future leaders will be honored at the Inland Marine Expo with the 40 Under 40 award, which recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to the inland marine transportation industry in a variety of fields. All 40 honorees were nominated by executives and peers for their hard work and dedication to the industry.

Over the course of 14 weeks, The Waterways Journal is featuring all 40 recipients. This week we recognize James Jaco, Crystal Jones and Josh Jordan.

James Tommy Jaco, 39, is a tankerman involved in maintenance and repair for Florida Marine Transporters.

Jaco started his career with Jacos Tankerman Service in May 2000, trained by his uncles, Neal Jaco and Jesse Jaco. He received his tankerman license in November 2000 and worked for the service for 13 years, loading and discharging barges along the Tennessee, Cumberland, Ohio and Lower Mississippi rivers. He then moved to the Louisville, Ky., area in January 2007 to be a tankerman supervisor in that area.

Tommy Jaco was trained by the old guys, the ones who worked hard, never stopped and always got the job done, said Shannon Jaco, owner and CEO of Barge Transfer Services in Ledbetter, Ky. He entered the industry at a time when safety and the environment were the most important issue of the day. He combines that industrious, self-driven attitude with a safety and environmental consciousness that represents the evolution of the industry into what it has become today.

She added that he was influential in establishing safety policies and procedures for Jacos Tankerman Service and helped train many new tankermen, both about how to load and discharge barges as well as the importance in maintaining personal safety and environmental stewardship while on the job.

Jaco began working for Florida Marine Transporters in June 2014 as a shore tankerman in the St. Louis area. FMT said his eagerness to work and dedication to the job soon had him traveling to surrounding areas.

Within a few years Tommy had become an irreplaceable asset to the company, FMT said in a written statement. He often provides support to our maintenance and compliance departments. In the six years Tommy has been with FMT, he has shown nothing short of excellence. He is always willing to help with whatever it takes to get the job done safely. Florida Marine is grateful to have such a stand-up employee on our side.

Her strong ability to work with teams and guide complex problems to resolution led to her promotion to underwriter in 2013, and to senior underwriter in 2019.

A licensed insurance producer, Jones also holds Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designations. Additionally, she has a bachelors degree in communications and a minor in sociology from the University of South Alabama.

Additionally, Bland said, Jones trains and mentors other members of the AEU underwriting team.
