Chairman of the Russian State Duma #39;s International Affairs Committee, Aleksey Pushkov, on Wednesday spoke to reporters on several international issues. He said that Japan #39;s reaction to Prime Minister Medvedev #39;s visit to the Southern Kuril Islands will harm bilateral relations. "During Medvedev #39;s trip, the rhetoric on the territorial dispute was anything but uneasy, the statements on Japan anything but hostile, and the atmosphere in general rather calm. Russia made no attempts to stir up the dispute; but the Japanese side did. There is more to this issue in fact. Japan may well claim the South Kuril Islands, but in any case they are part of the Russian Federation now. So all this tension only pushes the dialogue back." He also said that the United States #39; and other Western countries #39; keen focus on Iran is rooted not so much in their concern about Iran #39;s nuclear program, as the desire to find a way of changing the regime in the Middle East state. "I get an impression that it #39;s not so much about the nuclear program, but rather about setting an environment for changing the regime. It #39;s similar to the current events in Syria, except they are using rough methods there. In regard to Iran, the objective is to change the regime, and to ensure that people or political forces that come to power there are those whom the West considers the most suitable for the system of America #39;s national interests." Chris, Dan, Paula, Jim, Diane, Susan and I went on a 14 day cruise around New Zealand aboard the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship. This is on day 11; we went to Bay of Islands and took a ferry to Russell, then walked to Oneroa Bay beach. Chris started feeding the birds and I got the idea to film them on GoPro. It is the sequel to 2008 #39;s Far Cry 2. The game was originally set for release on September 4, 2012 in North America and September 6 in Europe; however, it was subsequently delayed until November 29, 2012 for Australia, November 30 for Europe, and December 4 for North America due to the developers tweaking the final release version of the game. Located in the wealthy suburb of Beverly Hills about 6km. north of downtown Cebu. This is an enormous Taoist temple. It was built by Cebu #39;s substantial Chinese community (the Chinese make up about 15% of Cebus population). The Temple is the center of worship for taoism, the religion which follows the teachings of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Tze. Built in 1972, the Taoist Temple is contructed in a highly ornate and some would say, gaudy style of Chinese architecture, and is topped with a pagoda style roof. The Temple has an elevation of 300 meters above sea level. It has a good view of Cebu City and in the distance Mactan and Bohol islands.
