Here are a few examples of when art inadvertently predicted the future.

5. Big Brother

OK, so the selfie may not have been predicted in ancient times, but George Orwell knew exactly what was going on back in 1949.

Big Brother is watching you, wrote the India-born author in his dystopian classic Nineteen Eighty-Four.

His vision of a surveillance society in which governments monitor and keep tabs on what we are doing is a reality today.

February Forecast: Foresight 20/20–Futurist Jack Uldrich to Discuss Current Technological Trends In Wisconsin, Texas …

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) February 02, 2015

The Internet of Things, Big Data, and 3D Printing are just a few of the current technological trends that are taking the world by storm and futurist Jack Uldrich makes a living helping companies navigate through them. He speaks over 100 times a year to a wide variety of businesses and organizations, especially on the transformation of health care, agriculture, education, energy, finance, retail and manufacturing. But, above all, it is true!"

His speaking topics range from custom presentations to "The Big AHA", "Business as Unusual" and "How the Internet of Things Will Open Up a Future of Opportunity." Following on the heels of nine presentations in January for clients such as the 2015 PIMA Annual Meeting, ACI and ACEC of NY's annual meetings, as well as the Independent Bike Dealers Summit and several private clients in telecommunications and banking, Uldrich will be addressing the following clients across the U.S. in February:

Future Business Trends in Biking to be Addressed by Futurist Jack Uldrich

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 28, 2015

Charles M. Schulz, author of the Peanuts cartoon, once famously said, "Life is like a ten speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use." "Nothing could be more true in today's world where our metaphorical gears are increasing at warp speed," says futurist Jack Uldrich. Uldrich will be addressing the Independent Bike Dealers (IBD) Summit, in Tempe, Arizona on Thursday, January 29th with his keynote address, "Business as Unusual" which will focus on how the IBD can start future-proofing their businesses against the trends of tomorrow.

Highly acclaimed speaker and best selling author Jack Uldrich travels the world addressing a wide variety of organizations from telecommunications to healthcare, manufacturing to education. His message is clear: The future is predictably unpredictable. And the way to prepare for it is by embracing the paradox of seeing your own ignorance as the path to wisdom.

From the League of Innovation to Pfizer and Verizon, Uldrich addresses the top business trends affecting all of these industries. In one of his latest blog posts he covers the top ten technological trends that will transform the world in 2015. When it comes to the IBD, Uldrich says the trends in nanotechnology, manufacturing and 3D printing will in all likelihood have the most impact.

While the need for speed may be the goal some consumers have in mind when it comes to cycling, others are looking at the quality of the bikes themselves with the materials that are light and long lasting. Others simply want to know that the simple joys of biking won't be undone by the technological advances. In other words, that the gears beyond 10 won't complicate life so much that getting out on the trail or road will inhibit the joys of a good ride.

In addressing organizations like The Entrepreneurs Organization and IBD, Uldrich aims to inform these innovative business people of the trends that are coming their way and to encourage them to embrace his acronym of AHA---Awareness, Humility and Action---as fundamental tools that will guide them through the technological tides of change. "While technology may be changing at warp speed, good business sense is firmly rooted in these principles of the past. The paradox of embracing both is crucial to an independent dealer's success."

Futurist Jack Uldrich: When it Comes to Future Business Trends, the Only Constant is Change

Montgomery, AL (PRWEB) January 27, 2015

Telecommunications is a constantly changing business. Every day older technology is being usurped with new technology that is faster, lighter and more efficient. Indeed, the only constant in the telecommunications business is change. As a future business trends expert, Jack Uldrich speaks on those trends and how to best embrace them for the coming years. In other words, Uldrich is in the future-proofing business.

On January 27th, Uldrich will be delivering a keynote address to one of the world's leading global providers of networking and communications equipment. Their products enable voice, data, video and Internet communications across a variety of network infrastructures. Their solutions are currently in use by service providers, private enterprises, government organizations and millions of individual users worldwide.

Uldrich will focus on his concept of the Big AHA--utilizing Awareness, Humility and Action as precepts to embracing change and jumping the curve when it comes to technological innovation. Uldrich will also discuss the specific future trends that may have the most impact on the firm's leaders and it's employees.

Uldrich has spoken all over the world on the topics of future trends, emerging technologies, innovation, change management and leadership. He has provided an in-depth exploration of how the Internet of Things, Big Data, social media, robotics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy and collaborative consumption are changing the world we live in. Most recently, Uldrich has spent his time addressing companies like Verizon Wireless, ABB, Informatica, Signal Hill and the American Vision Council.

Uldrich says, "In the near future, the greatest change will be the accelerating rate of change itself. My job as a futurist is to help the organizations I speak with to identify concrete actions to be taken today to future-proof their businesses against the tides of tomorrow.

Uldrich, hailed as "The Chief Unlearning Officer" by BusinessWeek Magazine, believes the principles of AHA are basic tenants for future-proofing, with humility being of particular importance. "Being humble enough to embrace the fact that we don't know what we don't know," says Uldrich, "opens us up to greater knowledge. It's a great paradox and one that all organizations can benefit from. Humble people are great to work with and they help create a terrific environment of collaboration and openness. That in turn makes for furtive ground for change and growth."

Uldrich will round out the month of January speaking in Phoenix and Florida. Parties interested in learning more about Jack Uldrich, his books, his daily blog or his speaking availability are encouraged to visit his website. Media wishing to know more about this event or to schedule an interview with Jack may contact Amy Tomczyk at (651) 343.0660.
