Congratulations to Professor Federico Rabuffetti who received an NSF/DMR research grant to study the chemical and structural bases of energy-transfer processes in upconversion nanocrystals

Project led by Dr. David Crich, Schaap Professor of Organic Chemistry received a $2.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health for a study that aims to shape the next generation of antibiotics for the treatment of multidrug-resistant diseases.

Ted Hromada and Jerry Zakrzewski have a lot in common: they both grew up in Detroit, attended the same elementary school and high school, earned degrees from Wayne State University, and became professional chemists.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a $3 million grant to Wayne State University for an institutional transformation project aimed at reformulating teaching approaches in STEM courses.

Dr. Sarah Trimpin and Dr. Colin Poole have been named among the 2015 Top 100 most influential people in the world of analytical science according to the publication The Analytical Scientist.

Congratulations to Professor Christine S. Chow named to the 2015 class of ACS Fellows by the American Chemical Society (ACS).

Professor Claudio Verani was selected as a recipient of the Young Observer fellowship award to attend the 2015 IUPAC General Assembly & Congress in Busan, Korea from August 8-14, 2015.
