A shift back to 8 p.m. worked in Nikita's favor last night, as The CW drama hit a season high with 1.24 million total viewers and a 0.4 rating in the 18-49-year old demographic.

That's an impressive 44 and 33 percent increase, respectively, from its previous new episode.

Nikita Review: A New Quieter Division or Death

Ryan's big bad secret is finally out. And no one flew the Division coop. Phew!

However, if Ryan had his way, the President's threat to wipe Division off the map - everyone included - would still be under wraps. It was rogue agent Markov that let that shocking reveal out in "The Sword's Edge."

Nikita Captures a President

I'm surprised that none of the team was upset that Amanda and her rogue agent, Markov, knew more about the New Division and Ryan's agreement than they did. What else is Ryan keeping from them? Despite his secret, they decided to continue to support him as their leader and help keep Division a secret. Now that they understand the pressure that Ryan's under and the importance of quiet missions, their actions will be more stressful - but they will all be working towards the same goal.

The quest to bring in the Dirty Thirty led the team to a rogue agent, Markov, who was able to get himself elected as the President of Uzbekistan. What is it about Nikita and Central European Presidents? Cassandra's husband was the President of Belarus and he was replaced by a look-a-like. It's too bad that prior mission wasn't at least referenced, but I guess Michael and Nikita were rogue at the time.

One huge confusion of the episode: When did Division headquarters go from being below a remote farm to being within a secret passageway to the White House? It's certainly convenient, but since they are in the same facility that Percy and Amanda ran, it's an odd change. But, okay, I'll go with it. It should create tension and drama going forward.

The Markov capture really was just a means to reveal Ryan's secret deal with the President. It didn't really accomplish anything else, though the mask technology was quite impressive. I hope we see that again. Was the team right to keep the assassination attempt and their success a secret from the President?

They fulfilled their goal of running a quiet mission, but why wouldn't they want the President's gratitude? If she knew what they were capable of accomplishing, wouldn't she be less likely to exterminate them? At the same time, perhaps, she would be tempted to use them as an active black ops force, which they don't want to do any more.

Alex was assigned to look for the mole within Division with the technical support from Birkhoff and Sonya. Her search initially sent her to Owen, but he was just looking into answers about his past. Even though Nikita was able to forgive Owen for his actions as a cleaner, not everyone will. Someone he hurt tried to kill him with an explosion. Will this be the last time he has to watch those around him? Not likely.

Through the investigation, Owen and Alex have started to bond. Are their butterfly tattoos a coincidence? Or, is there more to them? Now that Sean has pushed for Alex to leave Division and Nikita behind, will she push him away and become closer to Owen? I was a fan of Sean and Alex, but his pressure on her to leave is not what she needs. I'm definitely open to her pursuing love somewhere else.

Another Dirty Thirty member captured, Amanda and Ari are still on the loose, and Division has a mole. Their job is not getting any easier.

Were you surprised the team agreed to still work with and support Ryan? Are you committed to an Alex-Sean relationship? Or moving towards Owen?

Blue Bloods Review: Always the Bad Guy

After weeks of sticking Jamie on the back burner throughout the beginning of Blue Bloods Season 3, the show is making up for lost time. "Higher Education" finally put him front and center.

Wasn't it about time Jamie got a shot at having a love life? We haven't seen him with anyone since he and his fiance broke up back in Blue Bloods Season 1.

Nicky's Freedom

In some ways, Dana appeared perfect for Jamie, Harvard-educated and idealistic. But she was just asking for trouble walking around the streets of New York City in that Homeless Avengers costume. And for a girl that said she'd been kicked and punched by a couple of grown men, wasn't it amazing that she didn't have a bruise on her or a hair out of place?

And when Jamie went to visit her at her multi-million dollar loft (had she made partner at that law firm already?), she didn't appear to be suffering any side effects from her beating other than suddenly realizing that being a cop might be a dangerous profession.

All in all, as silly as I found Dana's story, I think she might be a good fit for Jamie, at least for a while. I'm just not sure he can handle the vast differences in their finances over the long haul.

Sunday dinner turned out to be all sorts of fun as Frank ended up in the middle of a mother/daughter feud as both Erin and Nicky vied for his vote.

I was surprised that Nicky dropped in on Grandpa at work to plead her case. As much as I sided with Erin, I will admit that her daughter made a fair argument.  She's quite obviously the offspring of two lawyers.

Poor Erin felt completely betrayed when Frank took Nicky's side. As a single mom, Erin's always the bad guy and it had to hurt to look for support from Frank and not find it. Her anger bubbled over as she told Nicky in this Blue Bloods quote

Fine. Go. Get drunk. Have sex with Greg. Get a tattoo. You need bail money, call your grandfather. | permalink

The funniest part was watching Jamie who sat next to her and looked like he was contemplating whether his best course of action was to run or hide under the table.

In the end, Nicky went to her first college party with her 19-year old boyfriend. Maybe we could all be so generous with our teenager's freedom if we had police officers on speed dial to follow them.

The murder of the week wasn't all that compelling although Danny's partner grew on me a little more. I guessed that the professor was involved from his very first scene. He was far too helpful to be anything but a red herring.

Danny clashing with Eddie from Narcotics was typical. The guy was a complete ass but Danny seemed to hate him before he had barely opened his mouth. I'd think that cop's cases overlap from time to time. Was asking for a heads up on any new information really that out of line?

The best part about this episode of Blue Bloods was that it didn't feel like the Danny show. The stories were far more balanced and it was great to see all of the characters get their moment to shine.

Once Upon a Time Set Scoop: Sweaters, Sparks and Spells!

Will Emma and Mary Margaret make it back to Storybrooke? What about Cora and Hook? Will Charming emerge from his sleeping spell? Will good triumph over evil?

With so many questions, and with a little help from the Once Upon a Time cast after time spent on its Vancouver set, TV Fanatic is here to help you sort out the major questions going into Sunday's midseason finale, "Queen of Hearts."

----------------------------------------

Will Snow finally get out of that pink sweater?
“I want to burn that sh-t,” said Ginnifer Goodwin, admitting she didn’t take into account how being trapped in the fairytale world would limit Snow to a single article of clothing. “In the first episode, I decided because it was probably 70 degrees out that I needed to lose my winter coat because it was just too damn hot that day... and had I held on to my winter coat, I would have subsequently had it in nine episodes in the forest when it was below freezing."

Villain or Hero?
The dastardly Rumple has teamed with Regina to help bring back Emma and Snow. So has he turned over a new leaf? Robert Carlyle doesn't even consider that question, really: "You don’t ever play the villain thinking ‘I’m playing the villain’, and the villain doesn’t really know that they’re the villain most of the time unless they’re completely crazy. And I think that everything he does, he’s got some kind of reasoning for it and he’ll always give you a chance. He’ll always say ‘well, do we have a deal?’ You have to listen very carefully to the words.”

However you view this terrific character, rest assured he won't be changing his way, says Carlyle: “I think that Gold or Rumple will use people as much as he’s going to get something out of it. If he needs them then he’ll work with [Regina], if he doesn’t, he’ll let her go.”

Cora and Hook

Is Hemma on the horizon?
Though they’re not exactly on the same team, there have been some definite sparks between Hook and Emma. Colin O’Donoghue, who is setting hearts aflutter as Hook, understands why they’d be drawn to each other: “I think they are kind of kindred spirits,” he reasoned, adding that he’d be fine plunging into some romance with Emma. “I’d like to see how that would work.”

…and what about Rumpelle?
“Something big is coming up,” promised Emilie de Ravin, who, as Belle, helps Rumple/Gold show a sweeter side. “We have a really passionate relationship that is very and very honest but at the same time there is this constant struggle of magic over love, love over magic and he wants the love over the magic but the magic has been a part of him for God knows how long.”

Are those romantic sparks simmering between Red and Charming?
Meghan Ory said she’s aware some fans have read into her closeness with Charming during these Once Upon a Time Season 2 episodes. Is there anything to it? “One of the things that I really like about that relationship is that there isn’t that underlying thing, which you don’t see a lot.” She also says that if Red looks at Charming in any way it’s the same way a brother and sister would look at each other.

Will Regina and Emma work together for the sake of Henry?
While our Storybrooke people are working together to get Emma and Snow home safe, can Emma and Regina finally stop the ‘He’s mine!’ feuding? “I don’t know that over the long-run it will,” Jennifer Morrison said. “I think, momentarily, Emma wants to have hope that this person can change and that if they both really want the best for Henry, that there’s hope for that.”

Why exactly did Charming go to the Netherworld when he knew he might never escape?
Of his beloved Snow, Dallas explained that Charming “needed to see her just one last time. I just think there is just something so beautiful about that, he just needed to see her. But the thing is that he knows her, he knows her so well. He knew that she would be in there, he just knew it! And he was right! And he goes in there and he sees her and I just think it’s a great moment.”

With evil Mama Cora still on the prowl, can Regina really not use magic?
Regina may be kicking herself for promising Henry that she won’t use magic, but Lana Parrilla explained that there’s also a feeling of relief: ”I think magic has left a really bad taste in her mouth. It’s been 28 years since she’s used magic successfully.”

The actress also said that she has her own theory about what magic means to Regina  and why she initially created Storybrooke as a world without magic: “If we go back to what [Regina’s] always prophesized which is, ‘Magic is bad, magic is evil,’ before she became the evil queen, I think there’s still an element of that and I feel like she did create this world to kind of protect herself and everyone else.”

The Vampire Diaries Round Table: "My Brother’s Keeper"

HOT DELENA SEX! HOT DELENA SEX! HOT DELENA SEX!

Sorry, we got distracted there for a second, as The Vampire Diaries provided plenty of fodder for our Round Table team - comprised of staffers Matt Richenthal, Leigh Raines, Steve Marsi and Miranda Wicker - to discuss in "My Brother's Keeper."

Highlighted by a certain closing scene that exposed both secrets and skin...

-------------------------------------------

What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Matt: Stefan prompting Jeremy to kill that newly-turned vampire, no doubt. That was some seriously intense stuff and it furthered the show's best storyline at the moment: Jeremy's murderous urges and that ever-growing mark.

Leigh: I love Tyler, but I found myself oddly drawn to the scenes between Klaus and Caroline. I think there's a chemistry there, whether Caroline like it or not. He was the only person keeping her calm and entertained during the pageant.

Steve: Klaus making his move on Caroline. Being the most powerful creature on Earth only gets you so far when it comes to women apparently ... fool's gotta run game like anyone else (if only we all had that accent). Second place? Jeremy morphing into a mini-Connor before our eyes. Third place? Any scene with Hayley for obvious reasons, if you get what I'm insinuating. What I'm insinuating is that she's not unattractive.

Miranda: It feels too easy to say Damon and Elena, but I've been waiting for that since the balcony on The Vampire Diaries Season 3. I also really loved Klaus and Caroline and almost, for half a second, started to think they should give a relationship the old college try. I kind of think I wouldn't hate it if they did. Bonus favorite scene: Matt moving in with Jeremy. Was his house finally foreclosed on? Was he finally evicted? I mean, I can't imagine he was making enough at The Grill to pay that bill every month.

Vampire Diaries Round Table logo

More likely to hook up: Matt and April, Stefan and Caroline or Hayley and Tyler?
Matt: I have no clue how Tyler will be able to resist Hayley after seeing her in that dress (especially if she breaks out the Australian accent soon), until I remember that he's dating the amazing Caroline Forbes. Matt, meanwhile, is way too nice to get down and dirty with anyone... so let's give it up for Scaroline, everyone! They will soon drown their sorrows over Delena by drowning in one another's hot bods!

Leigh: Hayley and Tyler for sure. Hayley wants it, Tyler is gonna get mad at Caroline inevitably over something Klaus related. Plus, you don't bring Phoebe Tonkin to guest star on your show if you're not gonna show off her sexy side!

Steve: Matt and April, without a doubt. Who's NOT waiting for that? TVD water cooler topic of the spring, mark my words.

Miranda: More likely? Hayley and Tyler. Paws down. But I'm hoping Matt, April and Jeremy become the new triangle. I could see there being something supernatural about her where she's the only one who can help him control his urge to hunt.

The Delena sex scene: All you ever dreamed about, or a total letdown?
Matt: As I mentioned once or two dozen times in my Vampire Diaries review of the episode, any positive feelings I possessed over these two were wiped away by the siring nonsense. Was the scene scorching? Of course. But my brow was more furrowed over Caroline and Stefan's discussion than any other body parts of mine were... nevermind.

Leigh: Hot hot hot! I don't ship one brother over the other. Well done. I enjoyed how it started off with the dancing. And I wonder if Ian and Nina's offscreen chemistry makes it easier onscreen.

Steve: See last night's Vampire Diaries review by Matt for my sentiments exactly. Hot, sure, but a total letdown thanks to the contrived sire bond, a twist made even more lame by Caroline's drawn-out epiphany. Sorry, C. Not even you could sell me on that.

Miranda: All I ever dreamed about. And more. I don't for one second buy the "The Sire Bond Made Me Do It" angle. Not even a little bit. And I'm actually kind of peeved that even now there's still some angle for WHY she has feelings for Damon. It's okay for her to have feelings for Damon, and those feelings existed before she was turned even if she wouldn't admit it. He never said "Hey, VampElena, have feelings for me and me only." Sire bond, schmire bond. THAT WAS HOT.

What is Professor Shane's endgame?
Matt: Easy. He wants to un-sire all hybrids? Maybe kill Klaus? Find a cure and put an end to the existence of vampires, if not every supernatural in the world? He's working undercover for TNT, trying to get The Vampire Diaries canceled.

Leigh: Well, he wants all of the hybrids un-sired... so it's safe to say he knows about Klaus. Perhaps he wants to cure Klaus? Hunt him? Certainly wouldn't make him the first person with such desires.

Steve: If he played a role in murdering the entire council, which he kind of obviously did, his endgame can't be as simple as killing Klaus for the sake of it. Maybe he just wants that charming Original out of the way so he can have the Cure all to himself. Shane mentored Connor in addition to Bonnie, so he's gotta be after that first and foremost.

Miranda: Either he IS Silas, or he wants to awaken Silas. And he's hellbent on destruction. I don't trust him.

What would you hope to accomplish as Miss Mystic Falls?
Matt: World peace is probably out, considering the events that take place in this town alone. I'd probably start a Stay in School campaign. Seriously, when was the last time these seniors attended class?!?

Leigh: To just keep breathing. In this town, you never know when your time is up! Also, I'd open up another hangout besides the Mystic Grill. We need a little variety.

Steve: The way things are going these days? Living long enough to hand the crown to Miss Mystic Falls 2013. That and modernizing the school's mascot ... the 1994 Minnesota Timberwolves called, guys, they want their logo back.

Miranda: World Peace? Life insurance policies for workers at The Grill? A truancy officer to check on why all these kids aren't attending school? Making sure no one ever cares that all these teenagers are drinking in public?

Haven Review: Skin Deep

Congratulations, TV Fanatics! You guys called it in the comments section of "Magic Hour Part 1."

Tommy was already dead by the time he joined the Haven police department. I'm so proud to be associated with such a smart group! You complete me. While the supposition of shapeshifter was a little off, we received confirmation in "Burned" that Tommy was indeed dead for at least six weeks, and Audrey and Nathan found his skin floating in a tank, with other skins, making The Bolt Gun Killer (TBGK) a skin walker!

Still, not a lot to go on, and the first thing that came to my mind as Audrey stood next to Nathan in the basement was... oh my God it's Nathan. Then... no, it's Claire! The conversations between Claire and Audrey haven't been as fascinating since Tommy died. Could TBGK be sporting Claire's skin now? After all, as Nathan and Audrey realized, he could be disguised as just about anybody. Come to think of it, it could be a woman. Oh. The mind reels!!

I just hope TBGK doesn't turn out to be The Colorado Kid.

Audrey's Fate

I was under the impression Audrey was going to use all of her remaining time in Haven to locate her son, but he was mentioned only briefly during the episode. Those pesky Troubled people and The Guard can really suck the time out of a day, can't they? The Trouble of the week did directly relate to ending The Troubles, as Jordan was forced to admit The Guard brought Ginger and her father to town so Ginger could control Nathan, and thereby control Audrey. We'll get to the why in a minute.

Kiara Glasco was the guest star, Ginger, with The Trouble this week, and it was a fun one to have as a little girl. Essentially, anything she told someone to do, they did. It made for some really cute scenes between she and Eric Balfour (Duke) as they played Pirate. If you've never seen Kiara before, she stars in Copper on BBC America and is a phenomenal actress. Even without The Trouble, it would be difficult to say no to that little girl!

The Guard's plan of a three-tiered layer of control was to force Audrey into the mysterious barn we've seen on the island through the mist. Jordan had some information, but not enough to satisfy. She just knew that the Audrey's last incarnation, Lucy Ripley, didn't want to go and it caused such a fuss that they were laying the groundwork to ensure Audrey would go willingly. When she goes into the barn and disappears for 27 years, so do The Troubles.

If I had a Trouble like Jordan's, or so many of the others in Haven, I'd be hard pressed not to want her inside that barn when the time came. Lose one person, gain 27 years of carefree living? The ability to touch, or feel, or not want to eat your family or so many other Troubles we've seen in three seasons of Haven. But I'd also have to wonder if each incarnation of Sarah, Lucy and Audrey might not get smarter and become more capable.

In other words, might there come a time when she's able to confront The Troubles, discover the reason for them, and defeat it - without losing herself in the process? Or is Audrey's Trouble that she only surfaces once every 27 years and then is forced back into oblivion? If that's the case, I'd reckon she has the worst Trouble of all.

We're down to three episodes and we need to learn who TBGK is, which of our main characters is a skin walker and therefore dead, who The Colorado Kid is and whether he is alive or dead, and what happens if Audrey goes into that barn. Why do I have a feeling that Haven Season 3 will end with Audrey going into the barn, but maybe not alone?

Wouldn't it be interesting if her crew refused to leave her side and decided to head into the barn with her? I wonder how that would change the dynamic of the 27 year pattern. Knowing Audrey, she wouldn't want anyone to go with her, but knowing the others, it would make sense they'd override her decision and go along. At the very least, Nathan.

I still think we have a lot to learn from the Teagues, and very little time to drag it out of them. The upcoming titles are ominous: "Last Goodbyes," "Reunion," and "Thanks for the Memories." I'm guessing a week of goodbyes, followed by finding her son and then the finale, where she regains memories of all her past lives before she sets off into the barn. I don't know if the next three weeks are going to be too fast or too slow!

What did you think about "Burned?" Who is wearing the skin, and which character might have already passed on leaving his or her skin behind? Head to the comments and work your magic!

The Vampire Diaries Sneak Peek: Sired?!?

Okay, so maybe Damon hasn't known this entire time.

At the end of last night's polarizing Vampire Diaries episode, Caroline and Stefan had an epiphany: Elena is totally sired to Damon! That explains everything!

They arrived at this conclusion, of course, just as Delena was finally coming to fruition (if you know what we mean!), leading to one very awkward conversation on next week's flashback-heavy "We'll Always Have Bourbon Street."

Watch now as Stefan tries to convince Damon of the spell he has Elena under:

Sound off, TV Fanatics: Elena being sired to Damon is...

Carla: When Oliver and Helena have dinner. It was the first time we really saw Oliver be honest and open about himself. He's opened up a little with Diggle, but more in a pragmatic mission focused manner. With Helena, Oliver exposed his emotional and damaged self.

Leigh: I actually liked the ending, when Helena said she would ask how he got in, but that's what vigilantes do. I liked how she knew he was there before he even turned around.

Kate: I liked the Oliver and Helena dinner, they had a good connection. I also enjoyed the Thea and Oliver scene, every one of them.

Craig: I liked the scene where Oliver formally meets Helena at her father's house... a bit biased, though, because that scene was being shot when we were on set.

Do Oliver and Helena have a future?
Carla: They'd appear to be the perfect match, both vigilantes with similar family backgrounds, but I don't think so. I'd love to see them give a relationship a try, but there individual vigilante quests will take precedence over finding love.

Leigh: Maybe a temporary affair, but nothing that will ever last. Their agendas will get in the way.

Kate: No. I think they work for now and it is nice to see Oliver be honest and let his guard down.

Craig: I think they have a future as far as that she might come back for a guest shot from time to time, as I'm pretty sure she's popular, but I don't think they'll let Oliver settle down full time, if that's what you mean. I do think no matter what happens, he will learn from this encounter.

React to the introduction of John Barrowman as Tommy's father.
Carla: Nice reveal. However, it was no surprise that the "Well Dressed Man" was Mr. Meryle as soon as Tommy walked in on the fencing match. Given his connections to both Tommy and Moira, his character should be around for a while which makes me happy.

Leigh: Considering I didn't even know John Barrowman, I wasn't sure what all the anticipation was about. What made it really interesting was his visit to Moira and then connecting all of the dots afterward.

Kate: It doesn't matter to me either way. In the future it'll probably play a HUGE role, but as of right now I could care less about Tommy and his storyline. Sorry... okay, not sorry.

Craig: I've got to admit... I called it! As soon as the Barrowman casting announcement came out, I speculated that he might be playing Tommy Merlyn's father. I was a little thrown off, though, when Colin Donnell said he hadn't met any other family members yet... at the time he said that, it was probably true. I think the reveal makes Tommy a heck of a lot more interesting and I can't wait to see what more they do with it.

What single question about the island would you most want to ask Oliver?
Carla: What happened on the island? Okay, that's very general, but I want to know everything! If I had to ask a specific questions, this may be a lame one, but I want to know about the languages.

Leigh: Crap, this is so hard to narrow down. I want to know how he knew about all the bad things his father had done. I understand how he got the list of names, but how did he get the info beyond that list?!?

Kate: Did you ever get poison ivy?

Craig:  "Did you ever find love on the island?" It is The CW, after all, and I'd rather not focus exclusively on the bad things.

Who is the better revenge seeker, Oliver Queen or Emily Thorne?
Carla: Oliver isn't out for revenge, instead he wants to protect Starling City and get justice for them. Emily Thorne is all about getting revenge for what happened to her father and through him to her. So, I have to go with Emily Thorne.

Leigh: While they have their similarities, they are seeking different kinds of revenge. Oliver is fast and uses weapons, Emily's plans are more thought out and detailed. I will say that Emily is a far better liar.

Kate: I love Arrow and Oliver Queen, but no one does Revenge like Emily Thorne! That girl is the head bitch in charge, you don't mess with Emanda. Just saying.

Craig: I think Emily's a lot more subtle, but Oliver's probably more likely to get the job effectively done.
