Katherine Heigl struggled with ‘public shaming’ after ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Emmy drama – Yahoo News

Katherine Heigl has opened up on being labelled difficult.

Actress Katherine Heigl has opened up on her struggle with being publicly shamed and bullied over the fallout from her criticism of hit TV show Greys Anatomy.

Heigl starred in the medical drama from 2005 until 2010, but gained a reputation as difficult to work with after making public complaints about her role in that and in the Judd Apatow film Knocked Up.

In 2008, she gave an interview describing Knocked Up as a little sexist and later said she hadnt entered herself for the Emmys for Greys Anatomy that year as I did not feel I was given the material this season to warrant a nomination.

Although Heigl later apologised to Apatow and Greys Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes, clarifying her comments were about her own performances, she said the throwaway remarks had had a huge effect on her personally.

She told The Telegraph: It was this giant snowball effect. The more conscious of it I was, the more afraid I was, and the more I would say something stupid. It was this vicious cycle.

It was a public shaming. Even a little public bullying. And I took it really, really personally.

It had me confused about my own worth because I put all my value in other peoples opinions and suddenly those opinions changed.

Saying that she felt afraid about peoples opinions of her, she explained that it made her react in a negative way but that she felt her attitude had changed in recent years.

After the controversy in 2008, Heigl said she began to worry about saying things that would offend people in every interview.

The actress said that she now felt less insecure and wasnt so concerned about saying the wrong thing, adding if somebody chose to take it that way, thats on them.

The Anatomy of an African Wild Dog Hunt – PBS

The Anatomy of an African Wild Dog Hunt

Published: January 26, 2021

Narrator: In an African wilderness like Mozambique's Gorongosa National Park, each animal faces a fundamental taskday in, day outfinding something to eat.

Herbivores have an additional challenge: they must also avoid being eaten.

As for carnivores, to survive, they must kill. And to kill, they must hunt.

Paola Bouley: There's some dance that happens between those two groups of species. One doesn't want to be eaten, the other needs to eat. So, they each fulfill a unique niche in the ecology of the system.

Narrator: Two top carnivore species roam the forests and floodplains of Gorongosa: African wild dogs and lions. Each has their own particular style of hunting, and their own unique effect on the prey species around them.

Bouley: A lion is an ambush predator and our lions in Gorongosa tend to hang out in the tall grass and they almost literally wait for something to walk into their mouths. Theyre not out running on the flood plains chasing down prey. They dont have to spend that energy. Theres a stray waterbuck or a warthog thats just walking through the grass and all of a sudden, a lion is there. And it takes a split second for a lion to take it down.

Narrator: Prey are so plentiful in Gorongosa, lion rarely roam from their favorite grasslands, limiting their impact on the ecosystem.

Wide-ranging wild dogs provide an essential contrast.

Bouley: Compared to an ambush predator like a lion, a wild dog is a coursing predator. And that means that it chases down its prey. Its not sitting, lying in wait for something to walk up to its area. Its going to chase down what it wants to consume.

Narrator: Weighing less than eighty pounds, African wild dogs are built for speed and endurance. Their long, thin legs can carry them over a mile during a hunt and propel them at speeds approaching 40 miles an hour.

Bouley: Now, a lion is going to think twice about running after something, especially if they can just pick it out of the grass. But dogs are not stealthy in that sense. Theyre gregarious. Theyre playing together. Theyre noisy. Animals see them coming from far. Theyre not stealthy at all. So, they have to rely on the chasing.

Chasing, clearing, very different strategy to a lion.

Narrator: And there's much more to that strategy than simply out-running prey. The pack's meals emerge from an extraordinary routine.

Bouley: A typical day for the dogs right now is they tend to rest during the heat of the day but in the early mornings and late afternoons they begin to play, socialize more together and they hunt.

Antnio "Tonecas" Paulo: (Translated from Portuguese) About thirty minutes before the hunt, they start playing, and you can see at that stage that they start to lower their heads and prick up their ears a bit and they make a calling sound between them.

Bouley: So, we're looking at some of the best wild dog habit here. It's a wide-open expanse, really flat, hard substrateand they'll course through here.

They start moving across the landscape and then fractions of the pack break off and begin to select prey. Those dogs out in front who want to start hunting are out there already sussing everyone out.

Here we go.

Here in Gorongosa, we have palm thickets, and termite mounds and little patches of forest. Animals like a bushbuck or an oribi would be hunkered in the shade and what we have is a pack of dogs and a wave of teeth that are just sweeping through the landscape, sifting animals out of their refuges, and looking for that one weak moment.

Narrator: Once a victim is flushed out, the wild dogs kick into high gear.

Paulo: (Translated from Portuguese) They chase their prey at a very high speed. When this wave arrives, the prey has little chance to survive the attack.

Bouley: The beauty of a pack is that they function as a whole. Everybody needs to do well together. The sum is greater than the parts with a wild dog pack.

There's no fighting at kills. There's no outward aggression like you'll see with the lion. Everybody gets to eat, nothing is wasted. So, vultures will hang around, but there's very little scraps to be taken. They consume everything.

So, theyre having an impact on how animals are distributing themselves because herbivores understand: thats a predator. They are fulfilling a unique role as a coursing predator in this system. And thats a good thing.

Anatomy of a Goal: Artur books the Columbus Crews ticket to MLS Cup – Massive Report

Welcome back to the Anatomy of a Goal, where each week we dissect one goal (or near goal) from the Columbus Crews previous match.

For the 2020 MLS Eastern Conference Final, we take a look at Arturs 59th minute goal that gave the Crew a 1-0 win against the New England Revolution, setting up Columbus as the host of the 2020 MLS Cup.

Here is a look at the historic goal from the Black & Golds Brazilian midfielder.

The Crew took the field against New England knowing that a win would bring the MLS Cup Final to Columbus the following week. First, the Black & Gold would have to silence the Revolutions potent attack.

The first half of the 2020 Eastern Conference Final went almost exactly as the Crew dreamt despite the 0-0 score at the whistle. Columbus controlled 54 percent of possession and put five shots on goal to the Revolutions zero. But for some excellent goaltending by Matt Turner, the Black & Gold would have entered halftime with at least one goal.

Arturs game-winner begins with a Crew corner kick in the 59th minute. Lucas Zelarayan lines up to hit an in-swinging kick into the goal box .

As Zelarayan steps up to the kick, Columbus attackers begin their movements. Darlington Nagbe (6 in the above picture) situates himself at the top of the 18-yard box to collect any ball that makes its way out and to help break up any Revolution counter attacks. Gyasi Zardes (11) is positioned on the edge of the six-yard box to flick any short corners into the front of the goal. Artur (8, to the left of Zardes) is set up in a similar spot and is tasked with heading the ball directly on goal. Jonathan Mensah (4) and Josh Williams (3) are the two direct headed-shot targets in this play. Mensah roams free in the middle of the penalty box while Williams will collect any ball that reaches the back post.

Zelarayans corner makes its way to Mensah who is marked by Scott Caldwell.

The kick just misses Matt Polster but neither Mensah nor Caldwell are able to get a clean touch onto the ball.

Caldwell ends up on the ground while the both teams search for the ball, which just happens to have fallen right in to the side of Polster.

Polster finds the ball and quickly must decide whether to clear the ball, play a quick pass forward to Gustavo Bou (7) or make a short pass to Tajon Buchanan (17).

Polster scuffs an attempted clearance but slices the ball right to Buchanan.

Buchanan keeps his eyes on the ball and tees up a clearance.

The Revs young right back is able to get off his clearance and sends the ball toward midfield.

Harrison Afful, one of the shorter players for the Black & Gold, stayed back on defense during the corner kick and is in position to pick up Buchanans clearance as the ball takes an awkward bounce just before reaching him.

Afful has time to settle the ball but hits an awkward attempted pass back into the 18-yard box after the ball takes a difficult bounce.

Affuls attempted pass ends up soaring high into the air and falling down between Pedro Santos and Luis Diaz. The Crew attackers battle Carles Gil for possession of the ball.

Diaz out-jumps Gil and glances a headed pass to Zelarayan.

Zelarayan easily receives Diazs header and Gil shits his defensive attention to Columbus No. 10.

Zelarayan collects the ball and the Black & Gold begin a secondary attack. Mensah had tracked back defensively, but sees open space ahead of him. Williams tracks back to provide defensive cover as his center back partner rejoins the attack. Artur also shifts forward into an attacking position.

Zelarayans deft ball-work to beat Gil and send a cross into the penalty box is worth a look at in slow motion before we break it down.

First, Zelarayan makes a hard cut with his left foot, sending the ball a few feet toward midfield and setting Gil off balance. Artur and Mensah continue their runs toward the goal.

Gil scrambles to recover while Zelarayan prepares a quick Cruyff turn where he plants his left foot, sends the ball behind his left leg with his right foot and speeds off the other direction.

From this angle, you can see just how much open space Mensah has ahead of him.

Zelarayans Cruyff turn sets Gil off balance and sends the Crew attacker toward the goal.

From the TV angle, you can see Gil plant hard on both feet after Zelarayan has already gone the other direction.

Zelarayan carries forward with Gil trailing. Artur and Mensah set up at the top of the 18-yard box. From this angle, you can see Artur and Mensah turn to look at each other. Both players know exactly where the other will be, setting up Mensahs eventual pass into the path of Artur.

Zelarayan is out in front of Gil and has four options. He can play a quick pass forward to Santos, attempt to carry the ball forward, try a difficult through pass to Zardes or a back-post cross to Mensah.

Columbus No. 10 spots his captain at the back post and hits a long cross into the 18-yard box.

Mensah settles into position. If the ball makes it past Buchanan, the captain will have the chance to take a first-touch shot or make a quick pass. Artur sprints into the box to provide a passing option for his teammate.

Mensah is too far out to try a headed shot so he prepares to receive the ball with his feet. Buchanan is about three yards away and just turns in time to see Mensah prepare to receive the ball. Artur sprints, unmarked, toward the top of the box.

Mensah receives the ball and can either take a touch toward the goal, hit a first-touch shot on goal play a quick pass into the path of Artur or play a pass toward Zardes on the other post.

Mensah knows that Artur is trailing just behind him and that he will be making a run into the box, so he plays a first-touch pass toward the midfielder.

Polster is on the wrong side of Artur, giving the Brazilian a direct path toward the ball.

Artur approaches the ball, with Polster attempting to defend with four options. He can try to find Zardes near the six-yard box, hit a first-touch shot on goal, attempt to carry the ball forward or play a pass back to Mensah.

Artur hits a first touch shot with his left foot. Somehow, the Brazilian is able to put a slight curve on the ball that sends it just inside the goal post.

Arturs shot speeds between Henry Kessler and Buchanan leaving Turner as the Revolutions last line of defense.

Turner lays out for the ball as it rolls toward the goal line.

The ball misses Turners finger tips by a few inches . . .

. . . beating the New England goalkeeper and rolling . . .

. . . into the back of the net!

The latest season of Grey’s Anatomy is tackling Covid-19 brilliantly – Her.ie

Grey's Anatomy has been praised by fans for the show's take on the Covid-19 pandemic and the related storylines featured in the new season.

It's a difficult subject to touch and because it's something we're all living at the moment, it's hard to know whether people want to see what they are experiencing in real life or simply indulge in escapism.

Grey's Anatomy, however, has found a way to incorporate Covid-19 into the show's storylines perfectly and sensitively.

One fan wrote on the show's Facebook page: Thank you for so beautifully expressing what children of Alzheimers patients endure. Both of my parents have it, my dad passed in April, and my mother was just diagnosed with Covid-19.

Another fan, hospice nurse Alecia Davidson, praised episode five of the current season, commenting: The difficult decision to push for treatment or promote comfort is my daily reality. This episode had me in my feelings the whole time.

Psychiatrist, Jessi Gold, M.D. whose primary patient population includes frontline healthcare workers, thinks the show has a great platform to show viewers both sides of situations, including what the doctors go through as well as the patients.

She said: When you have a platform like that, you can make a difference with how people talk and think about these things. There is something about having your emotions reflected back to you."

It's not just that we want to see something happy, so we feel better. It's also if someone says you have a right to feel this way because that was hard or that is challenging or that this whole experience is truly traumatising.

Grey's Anatomy is currently in its 17th season.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Why Camilla Luddington Originally Thought Her Role on the Show Was Not ‘Meant to Be’ – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

Greys Anatomy star Camilla Luddington is now in her 9th season as the fan-favorite Dr. Jo Karev, and shes still going strong. Theres a possible romance blossoming between Jo and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams), and Luddington promises that her character has a big revelation this season about her career. But, she also admits that she originally thought her role on Greys wasnt meant to be.

Luddington says that after eight seasons on Greys Anatomy, one of her favorite things about working on the show is that the actors dont know everything about their characters.

Its really exciting playing a character that every season you learn something new about. I didnt know that she was married before and I didnt know that she was in an abusive relationship; I didnt even know that she was homeless until, I think, episode 8, maybe, of my first season, Luddington told Backstage.

She explained that she feels like shes constantly learning new and exciting things about her character. Luddington says that when you sit with a character for this long, you get to be on a journey of growth with them. Not only does she get to experience Jos heartbreak and pain, but also her happiness, her wins, and her losses.

Luddington notes that the experience is really amazing. She also admitted that she was surprised by Jos big career revelation in season 17. And, shes really excited to play it.

The actress says that she came close to losing out on the role of Jo, but she turned things around rather quickly. Luddington recalled that she was at San Diego Comic-Con in 2012 because of her gig as the voice of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider.

She remembers it was a Friday, and her agent told her, Its such a shame because Shonda [Rhimes] really wants you to audition for a new intern class for Greys Anatomy.

RELATED: Greys Anatomy Star Ellen Pompeo Reveals COVID-19 Made 1 Positive Change to the TV Industry

Luddington noted that all of the auditions were on that Friday when she was in San Diego, and she just thought to herself, OK, well, its not meant to be. But the next day, she found out that Rhimes didnt find what she wanted during the Friday audition. As a result, she was bringing five girls in on Monday.

And so I was doing Comic-Con and quickly learning my doctor dialogue, Luddington recalls. And then went in on the Monday, heard on Wednesday that I had it, and then I started work on the Friday.

After Jos tumultuous season 16, fans were looking forward to seeing the direction the character would take this season. In the premiere, they got a huge shock when Jo asked Jackson for a sex favor, even though the two had never even flirted in the past. Luddington admits that when she read the script, she couldnt stop laughing.

Honestly, Jesse and I, we get along really well. We laugh a lot together anyway. But we dont necessarily work together a lot, and for a long time now, Ive been asking to work together. So, when these scenes hit, we thought it was hysterical. I was excited to film it, because I also loved that Jo was putting herself out there, Luddington told Good Housekeeping.

She also looked back at the controversial breakup between Jo and Alex Karev, which was the result of Justin Chambers real-life exit from Greys Anatomy. Alex left Jo for his ex-wife Izzie Stevens, and Luddington is okay with that.

RELATED: Greys Anatomy Fans Have Strong Opinions On How Showrunners Are Dealing With Justin Chambers Mysterious Exit

She says that was the only way that Alex would leave Jo, and it really couldnt have happened any other way. Luddington says that in order for them to break up, it made sense. However, she admits it was really shocking.

Ultimately, Luddington wants what is best for her character. If that means a romance with Jackson, thats great. But, she believes that all Jo is looking for at the moment is comfort and friendship.

New episodes of Greys Anatomy air Thursday nights on ABC.

NH-Based Company Borrowing Grey’s Anatomy Idea To Fight COVID? – wokq.com

There's a saying that talks about how occasionally, life can imitate art. And I suppose that this is an occasion where that saying could be used and even possibly true?

Because it just came out recently that a New Hampshire start-up business is developing a product that can fight COVID, and it's pretty similar to a scene shown on Grey's Anatomy a couple of weeks ago.

According to a business report on WMUR, Air Cleaners, Inc. out of Bristol, New Hampshire is in the process of developing what they call a "Clean Air Curtain," which they say creates an air barrier that basically captures and kills almost all particles of airborne particles (like COVID) within seconds, which will obviously make it easier to get back to as normal of an existence as possible.

Paul Bemis, who is the President of Air Cleaners, Inc., told WMUR's Fred Kocher that the Clean Air Curtain combines HEPA Filtration and Ultraviolet Irradiation to do the capturing and killing of particles.

And that's where I was like -- hey, WAIT A SECOND, I've heard something SUPER similar before. Like, a couple of weeks ago. On the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy.

About 9 1/2 minutes into the show, (I'm about to name some characters, so follow along,) Dr. Bailey is showing a returning Dr. Webber around the hospital and what has become the "new normal" with pandemic and COVID procedures. During the "tour," a machine that looks a bit like R2D2 from Star Wars is wheeled by the two of them. Dr. Bailey explains to Dr. Webber that the machine uses a UV light to kill germs and disinfect an entire room in minutes.

Essentially, that's pretty similar to what Air Cleaners, Inc. is saying their Clean Air Curtain can do, right? Clean the air of almost all airborne particles so that it's safe (or at least a lot safer) to breathe in since the particles will be killed off and not shared. It just sounds like it will work a lot quicker than the machine on Grey's (which is a real thing, by the way -- it's called a Xenex LightStrike Robot.)

So what do you think? Is it possible Air Cleaners, Inc. borrowed the idea from Grey's? (If I had to guess, I'd say probably unlikely -- I don't think you could come up with as many facts and ideas in a 2 weeks time about this, but it's definitely intriguing to think about life imitating art!) Also, here's the lead-up to the scene from Grey's (I couldn't find the actual clip on YouTube, but it's available on ABC.com and Hulu.)

The anatomy of new construction projects in Southern Alberta during a pandemic – Prairie Post

Besides the horrible human cost, it has been turbulent times for business in Alberta as government, private businesses and the public as expectations, rules and regulations change as those affected by COVID seems to increase.

It is no different for those in the building construction business, whether it be homes, multifamily homes or condo projects or new buildings to house businesses have had to work around all the hurdles created by the pandemic.

Cypress County resident and Nickel Group Developments partner Chris Nickel says it has been a learning curve with all the unexpected hurdles that one has to understandably work around.

The biggest impact Covid had was timeline. We had sales before COVID started so obviously a company like ours, we have investments, you have people putting money into what we are doing and with the world shutting down, you basically have to revamp your entire business when everything (eventually) turned around, explained Nickel while standing at the site of a multifamily building project at Division Ave and 1st St in Medicine Hat. We are pretty proud of our business and our group and everybody is involved in it that we got to this point and we are still here to tell the story and we can actually still build the same thing we were going to build last year at this time per se. It just looks a little different as far as our industry there was a lot of things we couldnt control and I think we are doing a good job of adapting to them.

Basically we were completely shut down for six months. (The Division Ave project) was slated to begin construction in April in 2020 and here we are in November we are just getting rolling. Timeline obviously threw everything for a loop. The other hard part was that certain approvals and certain applications only last for say, six months. They expired when COVID hit and it was kind of new to everybody. It was necessarily the towns fault, it wasnt the councils fault. It wasnt anyones fault it was the rules and regulations that were there and certain things expired so I had to do things twice which I never had to do in 20 years of building.

He adds that it is dramatically different between dealing with urban and non urban governments.

He says that, in an urban area, many people that have been situation in the same for a lot longer, a lot more rules as far as urban planning goes.

Typically in counties you dont necessarily have like architecture guidelines. You dont have certain rules to follow, you pretty much build whatever you want just as long as it doesnt standout too much, explains Nickel. Where here in the city, we had to follow certain guidelines. It was already zoned to have multi family on it so that part of it was fine. But there is guidelines you have to follow and makes it a little bit more challenging. Anytime you do an infiil (for example) you are going to just be up against a lot of people a lot of community members who have been there a long time and who are always a little bit nervous of change. I think easing it through (this particular project) the fact of just not like having this happen really quick, maybe helped us a little bit because it gave people an opportunity to think about what was actually coming here. We werent ruining the area, we are actually adding value to the area. The City is actually getting more property taxes, you are now getting four property taxes on one site instead of one, so different values financially, different values as far as it looks. I think cities definitely have more challenges than the counties but I think they also have more opportunity too.

Infill housing projects involve taking older properties in longtime neighbourhoods and generally tear down old house and construct new houses or projects. In this particular case near downtown Medicine Hat, an older building, while unique, came down. Nickel saw the size of the lot and the opportunity was there. It is a matter of construction companies keeping an eye open for lots and envisioning something different.

You couldnt get a lot this size in a new development anywhere for a single family home and you get a lot this size and you re-subdivide it from one to four and now you got an opportunity where so instead of one property at a 2 million dollar price tag, you got four at under half a million dollars each. Now people who are at the 50 and under age group that cant necessarily afford $750 grand and dont feel like they can never ever get into a new home, now they can, explains Nickel. They have an opportunity to live downtown, have less property taxes, less driving if they have a business down town. It will attract that millennial mindset to kind a move to an area that has an older mentality but yet has affordability to younger generations they can actually have new. And people like new stuff.

There is also the general price of doing business during COVID times

With the price of new housing getting more expensive across Alberta, with the price of a lot of building materials such as lumber dramatically going up, Nickel says the only real way where the younger generation can have something new is if you do infill and revitalize development.

He uses this new project, which is mostly sold and has drawn a lot of interest as an example.

Infill developments are never conventional. Every single one of them is different. Every single one of them has its own challenges. I would say the city (of Medicine Hat) has been quite welcoming, its just a different project so it was a little bit new to everybody. Plus it is on a street that is probably one of the most established streets in the city of Medicine Hat It is in a prominent location, explains Nickel. It added challenges in the fact its got new addressesEverything got re-subdivided; we had to go through a different planning commission than you would typically go through in a new build. New services, getting rid of old services, I mean the process I think it has been fine.

Of course we hit a six month world shut down which didnt really help the momentum of the project to get anywhereobviously in March everything shut down, everything stopped for four or five months which put a little bit if a dent into it. Other than that, the process has been fairly efficient, it is just been new to everybody. Everybody who that is on municipal planning, city council, development and planning, we all realize that projects like this need to happen to help revitalize the city of Medicine Hat.

Being outside they are watching any updated government rules and regulations to the ones already in place for construction zones.

Nickel has a long history in building projects. His family has a lot of ties to the building industry in Alberta; worked for Jade Homes Jade Built and then later to Jasper Homess master builder before moving on and helping to create Nickel Group Developments.

Always the buildings designer it has been a major learning curve to ensure he got used to the legal side of it

As I have got a little older, Ive got used to enjoying the behind the scenes stuff and dealing with government and dealing with the government level and deal with the CHBA (Medicine Hat member/director of the Canadian Home Builders Association), and having that part behind us and learn. I enjoy that part of it, not more than the onsite stuff but just learned that is part of the business, says Nickel. The thing with the development in the industry, is that it is a a people first industry. You are dealing with people are buying home and this is for families, it is not just businesses. You are dealing at a level where it is not a perfect science. It is not there are a lot of opinions and a lot of regulations involved. You have to put the people that are purchasing and the people who are moving their families, you have to put them first. As long as you have that in mind first, everything else is just a how do you get there? thing.

As for the pandemic, Nickel remains optimistic, but like everyone, can only wait and see how it all unfolds.

As
far as what could happen, the building industry overall never really saw a stoppage of work, it was more of these kind of projects, it was more the council, it was (waiting for) the city, it was fighting for appeals; legal offices were shut down, vital statistics was shut down, we just couldnt move, because some of the bigger offices were closed. As far as construction goes we are waiting just like everyone else, dont whats going to change. Dont know if the world shuts down again, if it will stop progress any. Anything we can do legal side has been done.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’: People Love Richard So Much They Forget All the Terrible Things He’s Done – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

There are some characters that seem to have a knack for getting away with almost anything, and on Greys Anatomy, Dr. Richard Webber is at the top of the list.

He has been forgiven for things other doctors would have been sued or arrested for, but fans on Reddit are rooting for Webber anyway. So what has he done that is worthy of being fired for, and why does everyone love him in spite of it?

Dr Richard Webber, played by James Pickens, Jr., watches over everyone who works at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The doctors under him often find themselves spilling their guts to him, even though hes their boss. Few employers in real life are able to earn the love and trust of those working under him the way Richard Webber does.

He has a very close relationship with several of his employees, such as Derek Shepherd, Miranda Bailey, and Meredith Grey. He often makes decisions to protect them that could cost him his career. The most memorable incident was when he took the fall for Merediths choice to mess with Dereks medical trial in order to save Adele. He was forced to step down as the chief of surgery as a result.

Perhaps its the charm James Pickens, Jr. brings to the character, but Richard Webber has a way of drawing in both other characters and fans in spite of his many flaws.

RELATED: Some Greys Anatomy Fans Had No Sympathy for Callie During Her Custody Battle for Sophia

While Webber is like a father figure, he has committed several acts that would be considered medical malpractice in the real world. This could result in lawsuits or even jail time. Still, Webber always seems to get away with it.

While Webber is most remembered for cheating on his wife with Merediths mom and tearing up a bar, there are a number of times on the show when he has been less than ethical.

According to one fan on Reddit: Operated on people drunk. Cheated on Adele. Went along with cheating the clinical trial for Adele. Covered for Izzie cutting LVAD wires. Thats just off the top of my head.

To be fair, hes not the only one. Christina Yang and Izzy Stevens were once caught taking money to show off a tumor removed from a patient. Later, several new interns decided to perform procedures on themselves when Yang refused to teach them, and that was just in the first few seasons.

Ben Warren performed an emergency C-Section on a patient in the hallway, which resulted in both mother and child dying. Callie Torres was one of the few doctors who found herself in court when she left a sponge inside of a patient, but she refused to admit she had done anything wrong and was found not guilty.

Time after time, doctors are fired and reinstated on Greys Anatomy even though they are guilty of committing some truly spectacular mistakes. In spite of this, they are portrayed as the best of the best, and fans tend to forgive them because it seems like their heart is in the right place.

Webber has lost many of his cheerleaders. Some of the things hes done over the years hasnt sat right with some viewers, and his failure to even attempt to save his marriage with Catherine was the last straw for many fans.

In spite of all this, its entirely possible that Webber will win fans back over, especially given his current diagnosis. As one Reddit user put it, Lmfao FACTS. Operating on patients DRUNK?! Hes a wild boy for that one! But all these problematic Richie tales make me adore him more.

A ton of credit must be given to head coach Brian Flores and what he is building on both sides of the football, particularly on defense. The Dolphins are confusing opposing quarterbacks, bringing pressure with some different personnel packages, and making opposing offensive coordinators burn the midnight oil to try and figure out what to expect on Sundays.

This Xavien Howard interception of Justin Herbert is an example of that in action.

It is also an example of teaching tape when it comes to playing zone coverage as a cornerback:

The Dolphins are playoff contenders, and their defense is a big reason why.

Patrick Dempsey Teases Meredith’s Diagnosis, The Length Of His ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Return On ‘Ellen’ – Deadline

Days after his characters surprise appearance in the Season 17 premiere of Greys Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about his return to the ABC medical drama.

Derek, who died tragically five and a half years go, came back in a beach dream Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) slipped into after collapsing in the parking lot of Grey Sloan Memorial.

Speaking with Deadline about the premiere last week, Greys Anatomy showrunner Krista Vernoff would not say whether Meredith was OK, and if the collapse was a result of her just being overworked or was it something serious, like COVID, since she has been working almost exclusively with COVID patients.

The promo for this weeks episode (you can watch it below) features Meredith in a hospital bed being tended to by colleagues in full PPE as she is struggling to breathe.

In answering DeGeneres question about how his secret cameo came about, Dempsey confirmed Merediths COVID diagnosis.

He spoke about how he and Pompeo got together in July and brainstormed what they could do to make people wear masks, musing about how great it would be for the fans to see everyone reunited in this sort of bizarre way when Pompeo suggested that he returned to the show.

And to the credit of the writers, Krista came up with this great idea where I will come and visit her in her COVID dream, Dempsey said.

He also provided more information about how long his character will stick around, and it is great news for Meredith-Derek fans. In last weeks interview with Deadline, Dempsey said that he enjoyed the reunion in the premiere and was game for more episodes, while Vernoff said about Dempseys presence on the show this season, its more than the one scene you saw in the premiere. Dereks presence will be fairly extensive, Dempsey revealed on Ellen.

Asked by DeGeneres how many more episodes he will be in this season, Dempsey said, Im not sure how many. I know Im throughout this season, he comes back to visit.

And that is OK by Dempsey who likes playing a vision that brings Meredith joy and peace.

There are so many souls that we have lost right now so the idea of having angels around us is very comforting, at least to me, he said.

Here is Dempseys Ellen interview, followed by the promo for this weeks Greys Anatomy episode.

Grey’s Anatomy: Alex Karev’s Slow Transformation Over The Years (In Pictures) – Screen Rant

Alex Karev was probably one of the few characters who grew the most during the course of Grey's Anatomy. Here's how that transformation looked!

The hit ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomymight revolve around Meredith Grey but it has given audiences some beloved characters over the years.

RELATED:Grey's Anatomy 5 Most Likable Characters (& 5 Fans Can't Stand)

The peds surgeon, Alex Karev, played by Justin Chambers, was probably one of the few characters who grew the most during the course of the series. From being a callousjerk to a pillar of strength for Meredith throughout the many difficult times that she went through, tobecoming one of the more mature people in her life, Alex saw quite a transformation in terms of growth. Yet, the abrupt departure of the actor in season 15 seemed to undo all the character evolution and send Alex back to the early seasons of the show.

Alex Karev was introduced as an arrogant, self-centered bratwho couldn't care less about anyone and didn't even make an effort to be civil to his colleagues. He was, in fact, a sort of foil to the softer, more gentle George O'Malley.

His not-a-care-in-the-world attitude was a major problem in the earliest seasons, causing Cristina Yang to coin the nickname 'evil spawn' for Alex.

Alex was still a bit of a jerk in season 3 and 4 but he had grown a tad less self-absorbed, thanks to Izzie's faith in him, and therefore a tad more mellow.

Alex also started getting attached to one of his patients, Ava, who was admitted aftera horrific accident that had caused her to be completely disfigured. He grew to be fond of her, meaning that he was at least capable of thinking about others, and evenmade a relatively mature decision when he asked Ava to move on and be with her husband.

Season 5 was significant for Alex as he became seriously attached to Izzie Stevens and was devastated when the latter was diagnosed with cancer.

RELATED:Grey's Anatomy: The 10 Best Couples, Ranked

Alex even went on to marry Izzie, knowing well that she was a terminal patient and would need the utmost care and love. It seemed as if the smart-mouth young surgical intern had found the anchor he was looking for in life, becoming accountable to someone else for the first time in his life.

Life had other plans for Karev and Izzie left him without so much as a word. It seemed like whatever strides Karev had taken as a person was about to go out the window.

Alex once again started falling back on his old ways in the aftermath of Izzie's departure. However, the season finale had a humbling moment for Alex Karev when he was shot by the gunman who later also tried to shoot and kill Derek Shepherd.

The shooting incident succeeded in making Alex rather more aware of his mortality. He initiated a project to offer treatment for African children who were not able to gainaccess to standard medical treatment.

Alex did, however, slide back to being the callous selfish guy he always had been from time to time and even told on Meredith when he thought he saw her attempting to tamper with the Alzheimer's clinical trial. He didrealize his folly eventually but not before he had messed up Meredith'slife.

Season 8 saw Alex taking a bit more responsibility. He even put his patient's life first and arrived late for his viva exam that would determine his career henceforth.

RELATED:Grey's Anatomy: 10 Of The Most Relatable Quotes From Alex Karev

Alex finally had some good news when he gotoffered the peds fellowshipat John Hopkins Hospital, but following the devastating accident at the end of season 8, he madea mature choice and decided to postpone his fellowship to help run the peds department at Seattle Grace, now known as Grey Sloan Memorial. He also felt guilty for letting Arizona Robbins, with whom he had a mentor-mentee relationship, take his place in the plane that crashed on its way to Boise.

Alex had a better spellboth professionally and personally as he was offered a position in a high profile private organization where he could make a lot of money for the first time in his life. Of course, good things were far and few between in his life so he had to go mess it up eventually, but at least he got a taste of a life that he had never had the chance to savor.

Personally too, he finally seemed to move on from Izzie and commit to Jo Wilson, the young intern who joined Grey Sloan from season 9 onwards. More is also revealed about his past and his family, indicating that Alex has overcome many obstacles in his life to accomplish what he had.

Gone was the arrogant young intern of the early years; Alex was now one of the best surgeons at Grey Sloan, with a much more genial personality in general. He also tried to be there for Meredith when the latter lost her husband in a shocking accident. In fact, Alex had now become Meredith's 'person', now that Cristina had left.

He did still have some of his bull in a china shop moments though, which was contrary to his otherwise mellowed nature--in the season 12 finale, he hit DeLuca under the impression that the latter was forcing himself on Jo. His actions came from a place of love and care but were rather reminiscent of the old Alex.

Alex went on to make some important, mature decisions in seasons 13 and 14. He tracked down Jo's abusive husband and managed to keep his calm.

RELATED:Grey's Anatomy: 10 Things That Need To Happen In Season 17

He also finally managed to get Jo to marry him, in a rather hilarious wedding. Before his final exit from the show, the now almost adorably goofy Alex was all set for a happier life.

Alex had evolved very much as a person by seasons 15 and 16; not only was he married, he had also got himself the position of Chief of Surgery at the Pacific Northwest Hospital, hoping to turn the hospital around.

However, the peculiardeparture of actor Justin Chambers towards the end of season 16 somehow managed to take thecharacter back several years, making him appear thoughtless and selfish. Sure, Izzie was his one true love but to leave his wife Jo without a word, and simply sendingletters therebynothaving to confront anybody in person, seemed like something the older, less mature Alex would have done. Though he had transformed significantly as a human being, he was at heart still the callous ol' Alex.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Fans Wish 1 of the Show’s Most Powerful Scenes Would Have Gone Even Further – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

In episode 13 of season 14 of Greys Anatomy, Dr. Dahlia Qadri (Sophia Ali) got the internet stirred up. She was the lead character in one of the most powerful scenes on the show. A lot of fans wish that it would have received more screen time than it did. However, it does seem that there could be a variety of opinions on the episode.

In this episode of Greys Anatomy, two boys came into the hospital after a science experiment went wrong. They were covered in bruises, and one boy, Tyler, had a piece of metal inserted into his leg. It is in the main artery. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Qadri take him to C.T. while quizzing her about what they are likely to see on the scans. Then Owen leaves, telling her to let him know when the scans are up.

While he is gone, Tyler wakes up. He wants to know how his brother is doing. Qadri and Tyler talk a little, then he says his leg hurts. Before she can really react, he grabs the metal, pulling it out of his leg.

Tyler begins to bleed heavily, but she knows she has to get the bleeding to stop. Her hijab is the closest thing she has, so without a thought, she removes it to give him a tourniquet. Crisis diverted, she calls Owen, and the two rush Tyler to the OR.

While they scrub in, Owen mentions her hijab being off her head. Her reply is what caught everyone by surprise. She said that it was a symbol of her faith. And that her faith is about service and compassion.

Owen later returns the hijab to her, after washing it.

Owen may have realized her hijab and returned it to her, but Greys Anatomy fans feel that more should have been done. It was through this episode we learned a lot about her compassion and her dedication to being a good doctor. However, the hijab is used to represent modesty, privacy, and morality for women and some people feel that should have been portrayed more fully.

In fact, one Reddit user said, I would have preferred them to use the opportunity two-fold: Qadri show her compassion and commitment to medicine by using the hijab but then one of her peers/supervisors respecting her faith by shielding her from view or providing her an alternative quickly. Would have been two times more powerful.

While most fans were happy to see Qadri take it off in order to help, others say that it was not right, and she had other materials there to do the same thing with. One user even suggests that Qadri would have likely had a hijab cap there to keep her hair covered, even if she did take it off for the scene.

Unfortunately, fans will never get the chance to learn more about Qadri. She departed the show in season 16, episode 3. The way the story was told on the set was that Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Qadri has a disagreement over Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) being fired from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. In the scene, Qadri stood up for Grey, saying that she had come there to learn from Meredith and Miranda fired her. It was a move that upset many fans of the show.

However, the truth is, Qadri left so that Ali could pursue other options. She is working on the movie Uncharted, which is set to release in 2022. She has also been in The Wilds, a series that began in 2020. Ali has also written one short book, Hows the World Treating You?

Video: ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’ | Anatomy of a Scene – The New York Times

Im Aaron Sorkin, and Im the writer and the director of The Trial of the Chicago 7. Its Abbie. The scene is Abbie Hoffman on the stand. Hes being played by Sacha Baron Cohen. Frank Langella is playing Judge Julius Hoffman. He is either a terrible judge, or in the bag for the prosecution, or experiencing early senility, or some form of the three of those. The lead defense lawyer is Mark Rylance as William Kunstler a civil rights attorney at the time, who became a very well-known civil rights attorney because of this case. Abbie, do you know why youre on trial here? We carried certain ideas across state lines, not machine guns, or drugs, or little girls ideas. Its the final scene of the trial. But whats unusual is that ordinarily the last witness in a trial, thats usually the climactic scene. Somehow a lawyer breaks down that witness, and he explodes in ayou cant handle the truth kind of moment. That scene in this movie actually doesnt happen in the courtroom. It happens during a mock cross-examination that Mark Rylance as William Kunstler conducts against Tom Hayden thats Eddie Redmayne back at their offices where theyve been working. Hes trying to demonstrate to Tom Hayden why Hayden cant take the stand because theyll rip him apart, and he shows him how. That becomes the climactic courtroom scene. And the scene with Abbie on the stand is a kind of coda. Its something weve been waiting for. Its a serious Abbie telling us what he really thinks. [CHUCKLES] So Chicago was just a massive voter registration drive? The cross-examination is being done by the lead prosecutor, Richard Schultz, whos being played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. We know from the beginning of the movie that hes ambivalent about prosecuting these guys. Hes going to do it. Hes going to do it fully because that is his job, and he has been directly ordered to by the new attorney General John Mitchell. But he knows that its a mistake for a number of reasons to do it. So hes a really interesting character. And Joe plays him beautifully. It was a crazy trial. Some of the crazy was bordered on the comic and some of the crazy was tragic. So I wasnt going to try to top all those fireworks with this scene, especially because I knew that I had a final scene coming right after that, which does have a lot of fireworks. So this was going to have to be the opposite. It was going to have to be the opposite of that in the writing of it. It was going to have to be the opposite of that in Sachas performance. And it was going to have to be the opposite of that in how we shot it. It was Sachas big day. And there was still, in some peoples minds, a curiosity as to how Sacha Baron Cohen would play a dramatic scene. On this day, there was a huge crowd watching him do it. Those extras, even when the cameras were pointed away from them, stayed there because they wanted to see Sacha do this. And take after take, he would just get a huge ovation from the crowd. Part of that ovation, by the way, was for Joe Levitt too. But people were really curious about Sachas performance. They were as knocked out by it as I was, and I think the audience will be too. Do you have contempt for your government? Ill tell you, Mr. Schultz, its nothing compared to the contempt my government has for me. The night before he shot it, I sent him an email saying, just a reminder, really the creative success or the failure of the entire movie depends on your performance that youre going to give tomorrow. We can have been great up until that moment, and you still have an opportunity to sink the film with anything less than a great performance. So knock him dead, pal. I was just going to tell him the truth. For real, you cant blow this scene. Weve been trying to make this movie for 14 years. So here its all in your lap [LAUGHS] He had no problem with it at all. Im concerned you have to think about it. Give me a moment, would you friend? Ive never been on trial for my thoughts before.

The Anatomy of a Great Pitch | Inc.com – Inc.com – Inc.com

In an elevator pitch, you have approximately 60seconds to get the recipient's attention. With an email pitch, even if you get someone to open your email, you have just 30. Here's what you need to include in those precious few seconds.

Research for attention

Attention is a scarce, expensive currency nowadays. Not everything grabs our attention anymore--what really hooks usare only those things that speak to our interest and appeal to our style/tone.

Researching what the other side thinks and likes, and how they speak, is crucial to your pitch being successful. When pitching a business, learn its pain and goals. If you're pitching a VC firm, use the same language that businesses in your niche used during a successful funding round. Above all, study the voice of the customer. It's what keeps any business running, both B2B and B2C. In the end, it's really B2P -- business to people -- and each target audience is different.

I asked Drayton Bird, former vice chairman and global creative director at Ogilvy how he successfully pitched Bentley. His response:

I worked with more than eight brands in the car business, and everyone I knew started out by selling cars. So, I just asked Bentley if the language they use when selling a car to a prospect is the same language used in the meeting with me today.

They said yes, and I suggested that's the tone we should use in your copy, and that got me the business. I won Bentley by asking a question I already knew the answer to because I've done my research.

Be clear

A clear message will always triumph over a complex pitch filled with jargon.

Skill to work on: Communication

Communication is fundamental because the next three skills will have less impact without it.Warren Buffett said it best: "If you can't communicate, it's like winking at a girl in the dark, nothing happens."

Benefits alone (emotions like relief, status, or desire) can get the job done most of the time, as people buy (and accept pitches) for two reasons: to move away from pain, or get closer to desire. As humans, we justify emotional decisions with logic, and in general, emotions are stronger than logic in behavioral economics.

Pitching a content strategy promising great writing is a feature. The same pitch focusing on promising the buyer they'll become an authority in their space is a desire-driven-benefit (status).

Focus on selling the benefits, not the features, to increase desire. Also, to increase connection between seller and buyer in your pitches, use personal language like "you" and "you're,"and avoid "I" and "we" as much as possible.

Skill to work on: Psychology

Educating yourself on human behavior, consumer psychology, and behavioral economics will maximize your ability to influence, persuade, and pitch successfully.

Here are three books that helped me:

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

Influence by Robert Cialdini

Emotion will help drive prospects to allocate mental bandwidth into calculating the deal logically. But logic is necessary for an air-tight pitch. You sell certainty in an uncertain world. People don't necessarily accept the best pitches. They say yes to those they deem least risky.

People buy from people. You're pitching (selling) an idea, but what you're truly selling is "yourself."Even if the proposition is great, the pitch won't sell if the seller isn't trusted. To bypass the logical barrier, present a pitch with strong case studies, proven business models, and social proof like:

Celebrity endorsements

Media coverage

Loan approvals

Testimonials

LOI letters

Skill to work on: Sales

It shouldn't surprise you that the number one job billionaires and multimillionaires held before they accumulated wealth is in sales.

I've held a commission-only sales job for three years in my mid-20s, and I attest that it's the single most important skill I learned -- and it directly affected my copywriting business pitches.

Skill to work on: Negotiation

Improving this skill will make your pitches better, both verbally and in a written format. I recommend the book Getting to Yesby William Uri, and the wonderful Harvard Program On Negotiation.

Communication, sales, negotiation, and psychology are four pillars that helped me better implement attention, clarity, emotion, and logic in my pitches - landing nine-figure clients through cold emails and over Zoom. Use these tips to land your next big contract.

Shonda Rhimes Called This ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Character the ‘Walking Validation of My Dreams’ – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

Producer Shonda Rhimes is hitting it big once again, this time on Netflix. With her eight-episode series Bridgerton trending at the top of the streaming service, Rhimes continues to strike gold when it comes to making top shows.

The Greys Anatomy creator catapulted to stardom after launching the medical drama on ABC in 2005. Bringing a memorable ensemble cast to the forefront, one character in particular was especially close to Rhimes heart.

In her 2016 book, Year of Yes, Rhimes described the creative process in bringing a character to life.

For me, characters may begin with the words I put on paper, but they are flat, Rhimes explained. Like empty balloons you pour out of a bag. The actor breathes the air into the words and suddenly what was flat is now fully three-dimensional and alive.

When Rhimes created one particular stand-out surgeon on Greys Anatomy, she put pieces of herself into the characters makeup.

RELATED: Greys Anatomy: Why Ellen Pompeo Had a Knock-Down, Drag-Out Fight With the Director of This Episode

I wrote and Sandra Oh breathed and what floated up was Cristina, Rhimes said of Ohs role as Dr. Cristina Yang. OUR Cristina. The one Sandra and I made together. That is who Cristina was. A piece of my soul and a piece of Sandras soul wound around each other and placed on television.

The Bridgerton creator revealed that she was able to see her own goals achieved through Cristina, creating a character that was fueled by ambition.

Its no wonder I leaned into Cristina, wrote her more eloquently, colored her more brightly, drew outside her lines, Rhimes explained. Let her do and think and live in ways that voiced my dreams. She did not want to get married. She had a genius that she chased she loved her work.

While Rhimes is the mom of three daughters and Cristina was firm about not wanting kids, the Greys Anatomy producer wanted to explore a womans journey on a different path.

I gave her a strident desire to not have children because while I adore children, I wanted to watch her fight that feminist battle and win, Rhimes revealed. I wanted us to watch and admire a woman who did not want the things we have all been told we are supposed to want I wanted us to befriend a woman who was busy throwing out the fairy tale and writing her own story.

Over the course of ten seasons, Cristina was seen in a plethora of life-changing situations. By creating the characters resilient spirit, Rhimes was strengthened in her own life.

Cristina survived things in ways most characters wouldnt, Rhimes wrote. She performed surgery with a gun pressed to her head. And she healed by catching a giant fish and holding it in her arms. During my darkest hours, my quietest saddest moments, my loneliest times, writing Cristina Yang fortified me.

Rhimes shared that she intentionally wrote such affecting storylines for Cristina as a way to empower herself and others.

RELATED: Greys Anatomy Star Ellen Pompeo Echoes Katherine Heigls Comments on Past Working Conditions: Really, Really Unhealthy

Those stories were proof that I could survive anything, Rhimes remarked. Sandras playing those moments out, breathing life into those words, into Cristina... Sandras acting those words made my survival and resilience feel possible. Cristina Yang was the walking validation of my dreams.

Rhimes added, As a nerdy introverted writer with an eye twitch who could barely speak up for herself? Let me tell you, dear friends, that was magic. And that kind of magic is crazy special.

Why Did Ellen Pompeo Almost Pass On ‘Grey’s Anatomy’? | TheThings – TheThings

During the time when the casting of Greys Anatomy was taking place, the performer wound up having another offer on the table.

Making a career on the small screen is doable, but not after a performer has gone through the mud to even get an opportunity for something decent. Acting is a tough business, but shows likeThe Office andFriends have taken relative unknowns and have turned them into stars. Because of this, most performers out there will do just about anything to secure a spot on an upcoming pilot.

Ellen Pompeo is a massive star these days thanks to starring onGreys Anatomybut had things gone another way, she wouldnt have even appeared on the show in the first place, forever altering the history of television.

Lets look back and see why Ellen Pompeo nearly passed onGreys Anatomy.

At this point in her career, it is almost impossible to imagine Ellen Pompeo playing another character other than Meredith Grey on the small screen, but there was once a point in time when she was doing anything and everything possible to land a role on a television series. During the time when the casting ofGreys Anatomy was taking place, the performer wound up having another offer on the table.

Landing one role is hard enough, but sometimes, a performer will have to confront the difficult decision of choosing between roles. Choose the right role, and youll be working for a decade while rolling in millions. Choose the wrong role, and your show will be quickly off the air and youll be right back to square one. Such is the life for a performer even lucky enough to be in this predicament.

According toCheatSheet, there was once a point in time when the actress was attached to a show calledSecret Service, which would have been drastically different fromGreys Anatomy. When speaking with TV Guide, Pompeo would reveal, I was offered the role of Meredith. I had done a movie for the studio called Moonlight Mile, so the studio was aware of me. Then I met Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman We sat down and talked about me possibly doing an arc on Alias.

Pompeo would continue, saying, That didnt happen. Bob and Alex wrote a show called Secret Service. I really wanted to do that and the studio really wanted me to do Greys [Anatomy] instead. I wanted to do the Secret Service pilot that didnt go, of course; me and my brilliant choices.

Now that she had confronted the decision of choosing between two roles and had picked the wrong one, it is interesting to think what would have happened hadSecret Service actually taken off and who would have ultimately become Meredith Grey. Eventually, after things fell apart from the show she initially wanted to do, Pompeo would meet with Shonda Rhimes and figure out the right move in an instant.

She would tellTV Guide, I read Grey's and I went and met Shonda and I decided to come on and do this. It was just an invitation and I happily accepted."

And just like that, television history was made. Of course, there is simply no way of knowing what a television show will become in the early stages, but clearly, people behind the scenes saw the potential thatGreys Anatomy had. Even though ABC was swinging and missing on plenty of shows during that era, they were sitting on a gold mine withGreys.

Since the show debuted, it has been nothing short of one of the most remarkable achievements on the small screen. It has been on the air since 2005 and it has aired over 300 episodes, which is a feat accomplished by few programs in history. Pompeo has been laughing all the way to the bank ever since.

DespiteGreys being the success that it is, the longer that it has gone on, the more people have wondered about how much longer the show has on the air.

While the show has done wonders for the performer, Pompeo has acknowledged that she wont be staying on the show forever and will eventually call it a day sooner rather than later, which is totally understandable.

When speaking withEntertainment Tonight, the performer would touch on this subject, saying, But certainly I think to dip out sooner rather than later, at this point, having done what we've done, to leave when the show is still on top, is definitely a goal. I'm not trying to stay on the show forever. No way. The truth is, if I get too aggravated and I'm no longer grateful there, I should not be there."
