This video is about my first MS Walk in Los Angeles in 2005. This was the year I was diagnosed. We walked around the Los Angeles Olympic stadium and on the USC Campus in Downtown LA I am a mother, wife and a professional photographer, I refuse to let MS get in my way. I do my assignments with no problems and get the job done. I am very lucky. In fact, many pesticides with EPA registration are categorized as "Toxin, known carcinogen, mutagen, reproductive toxin, developmental toxin, immune system toxin, and endocrine disruptor". Using movement and dance to increase wellbeing for people affected by dementia ISLAND Community Arts in partnership with Lagan Valley Hospital, Ward 11-Psychiatry of Old Age South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust Anthea McWilliams -professional dance practitioner has brought art to the community visiting residents with dementia at Lagan Valley Hospital over a 6 week period. Anthea has delivered a range of quality arts activities stimulating participants and improving their quality of life. Carers and families got fully involved in the workshops and noticed a vast improvement in their loved ones mental and physical well being. Not only did the patients enjoy the activities but staff at the hospital acquired new skills in arts based activities.
