On June 18th, 2004, Steve Gilbert was diagnosed in the early stage of aggressive prostate cancer. Later that year he was diagnosed with Parkinson #39;s disease. This video shares part of his story to health through a truly Monumental experience at the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. The story Steve shares is one of hope and fulfillment that followed his diagnosis of Parkinson #39;s disease. Five years ago he wandered into the Rock Steady Boxing gym and began a training program for people with Parkinson #39;s that would change his life. As a result of this training he is in the best physical (and spiritual) condition of his life. In the process, he learned that many personal limits are self-imposed and only serve as an excuse not to push farther.
