Liberty Ross has reportedly filed to divorce her husband, "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.

The model and actress filed her paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, according to People.

She is asking for spousal support and joint custody of the couple's children who are 5 and 7, per TMZ, which first reported the news.

Rupert was the director Kristen Stewart was caught having a fling with while she was dating her "Twilight Saga" co-star, Robert Pattinson.

Kristen and Robert reportedly split after the incident, but later rekindled their romance.

Liberty Ross Files for Divorce From Rupert Sanders: Report

Liberty Ross and Rupert Sanders are officially over. The British model, 34, has filed for divorce from her director husband, 41, in L.A. County Superior Court, TMZ reports.

According to the site, Ross is asking for joint custody of the couple's two children, Skyla, 7, and Tennyson, 5, as well as spousal support and attorney's fees. She is represented by celebrity attorney Laura Wasser, who has handled cases for Ryan Reynolds, Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian, and Britney Spears.

Sanders, repped by Lance Spiegel, has reportedly filed a response to his wife's petition in which he also requests joint custody. However, he is not seeking spousal support and wants to share the costs of attorney's fees.

The news of the couple's imminent divorce comes several months after Us Weekly revealed that the Snow White and the Huntsman director had been caught cheating with Twilight actress Kristen Stewart, 22, in July 2012. Stewart and her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, reconciled shortly after the affair, but Ross and her husband faced a more uncertain future. In October, they appeared to be trying to work things out when they were spotted embracing after an alleged counseling session. Later that month, they put up a united front to take their kids trick-or-treating in Los Angeles.

Alas, it seems that front has crumbled. "I believe we're all on journeys and we're all given lessons at certain times in our life...sometimes when things seem really bad you have to be able to see the good and learn from it," Ross said of her marriage after the affair. "And move forward as graciously as possible."

"[This year was] the end of some things and the beginning of something else," she continued. "Beginnings and endings are always really exciting."

British model and actress Liberty Ross has reportedly filed for divorce from Rupert Sanders, the "Snow White and the Huntsman" director who infamously cheated on her last summer with actress Kristen Stewart.

She's asking for joint custody of their 5- and 7-year-old children, spousal support and attorney's fees, in papers filed Friday in L.A. Superior Court, according to TMZ. Sanders, who filed his response Friday as well, also is seeking joint custody but wants to share the legal fees.

What Stewart called a "momentary indiscretion" with Sanders pictures of which appeared more than momentarily all over the Internet happened back in July.

Both parties publicly apologized, with Sanders, now 42, saying in a statement to People, "I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

Since then, the 22-year-old actress has gotten back together with her "Twilight" costar Robert Pattinson, while Ross reportedly told Sanders in August that she didn't want him working with Stewart on a "Huntsman" sequel.

Stewart confirmed last month to Indiewire that she'll indeed be starring in a sequel to "Huntsman," saying, "Im so excited about it, its crazy," before noting that she wasn't allowed to talk about it at all.

For that, she did not apologize.

Japan turns back Taiwan boat from islands

TOKYO, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Taiwan activists on a fishing boat were stopped from entering the waters of Japan-controlled Senkaku Islands, the Japanese coast guard said.

The coast guard said the fishing boat was escorted by four Taiwan coast guard vessels but was turned back Thursday before it could enter Japanese territorial waters, Kyodo News said.

The islands in the East China Sea are under Japanese control but are also claimed by China and Taiwan. The islands, which are about 120 miles northeast of Taiwan, are called Diaoyutai Islands by Taiwanese.

Tensions between China and Japan have risen sharply since Japan nationalized the islands last September. The islands are uninhabited but are reported to be rich in natural resources.

In the case of Taiwan, Japan is planning bilateral talks on fishing by Taiwanese boats in the islands' waters but Kyodo quoted Japanese diplomatic officials that the latest incident might negatively affect that effort.

Those aboard the fishing boat included four activists, a television cameraman from Hong Kong's Phoenix TV and an Indonesian worker, Kyodo said.

The Taipei Times carried a photograph of a Japanese coast guard patrol ship spraying water on the fishing boat.

Taiwanese Foreign Affairs Ministry official Su Chii-cherng said the activists' mission was voluntary and in no way should affect the official Taiwan-Japan fishery talks, the Times said.

The official also was quoted as saying the islands are part of Taiwanese territory and have been traditional Taiwanese fishing grounds.

Municipal health care reform leads to $205 million in savings

More than 204 communities and school districts have collectively saved $205 million in health insurance premiums thanks to the states municipal health care reform law, Gov. Deval Patrick announced today while speaking at the Massachusetts Municipal Association's annual meeting.

"Massachusetts leads the nation in health care coverage, and working together we are lowering the cost of health care so it can be as affordable as it is accessible," Patrick said in a press release. "With labor at the table, municipal health care reform has had a powerful and immediate impact on municipal finances across the commonwealth, while maintaining quality, affordable health care for working families.

There is the potential for an additional $45 million in savings if more municipalities and regional school districts use the reform process. Combined with savings announced today, this reform has the potential to achieve over $250 million in savings statewide.

So far, 81 communities have completed the process, modifying employee health plans or joining the Group Insurance Commission That has resulted in almost $70 million in employer and employee premium cost savings.

More than 122 communities and school districts have used the new law to negotiate plan changes without actually adopting the reform, resulting in more than $137 million in premium savings for employers and employees in the first year, according to the release.

The release notes the reform offers savings while preserving a role for unions in negotiations and protecting the quality of health care.

The reform could create up to $2.8 billion in cumulative savings over 10 years if implemented in all communities and districts, according to the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation.

This is among the most meaningful municipal reforms in decades, and its success has surpassed all expectations, Michael Widmer, the foundations president, said in the release. The early and widespread adoption by communities across the state shows the importance of this tool in providing municipal budget relief, both now and for years to come.

NEW YORK (AP) Health care stocks have started off the year on a tear.

The industry group that includes health care providers, drugmakers and biotechnology companies has advanced 7.3 percent this year, making it the second-best in the Standard and Poors 500 index, trailing only energy companies. Even drugmakers, traditionally considered a safe-haven play, are outperforming the market.

The rally has solid foundations, but not all companies will benefit equally from the influx of cash. Also, the wide range of stocks in the sector offer investors vastly differing risk and return dynamics.

U.S. health care spending is projected to climb at a faster pace than economic growth in coming years as the population ages and President Barack Obamas Affordable Care Act gives millions of Americans greater access to care.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services projects that total health care spending will rise 70 percent over last years estimated level of $2.8 trillion to $4.8 trillion by 2021. Thats almost 20 percent of U.S. gross domestic product.

Theres just a lot more money flowing into health care and were seeing the markets react accordingly, says Derek Taner, a portfolio manager at Invesco.

President Obamas re-election in November gave the sector a boost by removing the uncertainty surrounding the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Republican candidate Mitt Romney had said that he would overturn the act if elected.

The biggest beneficiaries of the act will likely be hospital companies, which have the potential to increase their earnings significantly, says Taner, who manages Invescos Global Health Care fund.

So-called managed-care companies should also benefit from the increase in spending, though they also face higher taxes and restrictions on how they can price their coverage, so the law will be challenging to them too.

HCA Holdings Inc., a bellwether for the hospital industry, has gained 25 percent so far this year. Tenet Healthcare Corp., a Dallas-based operator of acute care hospitals, has advanced 20 percent.

Freedom High quarterback with Kaepernick look is Nevada-bound

Freedom High quarterback Dante Mayes, who resembles 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in playing style and appearance, is headed to the famous signal-caller's college as well.

Mayes has orally committed to Nevada after taking a recruiting trip to Reno this past weekend, Freedom coach Kevin Hartwig said on Friday.

"He looks just like him," Hartwig said of the Mayes-Kaepernick comparison.

Hartwig describes Mayes, who is 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, as strong-armed and athletic but shorter than Kaepernick and lacking the tattoos.

Mayes, a three-year starter, passed for 2,487 yards with 26 touchdowns as a senior, guiding the athletic Falcons to an unbeaten Bay Valley Athletic League title. He also rushed for 319 yards and three touchdowns.

Nevada is headed by new coach Brian Polian, a former Stanford assistant under current 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. Polian only announced his staff on Friday.

"It's a great fit," Hartwig said. "They have a new staff, and they're going to keep the pistol zone-read stuff, which is exactly what we do. It's a great transition."

Mayes, who carries a 3.6 grade-point average, wants to study at Nevada's medical school and has talked about wanting a career in medicine for two years, Hartwig said.

The Falcons have thrived with their dynamic trio of Mayes, Darrell Daniels, a versatile Washington commit, and junior Joe Mixon, a four-star recruit by rivals.com who ran

Hartwig said the school will have a signing party for Daniels and Mayes on Feb. 6.

However, the Queenstown Lakes District Council is powerless to do anything more about the problem, chief executive Adam Feeley says.

During the open forum at this week's Wanaka Residents' Association annual meeting where Mr Feeley was guest speaker, Dr Pezaro called for tougher penalties against freedom campers, in light of concerns shared by health officials worldwide about predicted norovirus epidemics.

''Norovirus is expected to sweep the northern hemisphere in their summer and it will inevitably find its way south,'' Dr Pezaro told the meeting.

''Only 40 years ago we were taught there was no giardia,'' he said.

Yet pollution from poorly disposed toilet waste now meant New Zealand's streams were ''unreliable'' and freedom camping could cause the same devastating result with the norovirus stomach bug.

''My concern is that if you allow people to continue to camp with inadequate toilet facilities then goodness know what this norovirus will do ... I'm very concerned that it could disable communities and community water supplies.''

Although he appreciated what the QLDC was doing to address the freedom camping issue, ''I do think we need to strengthen our resolve''.

''We must stamp [freedom camping] out before it starts to beat us.''

However, the council had limitations under the Freedom Camping Act in what it could do, Mr Feeley said.
