A Real Chinese Fire Drill
That's right I'm not talking about the kind where you jump out of the car at a stoplight and run around and hop back in before the light turns green. That's about as Chinese as fortune cookies. You remember the fire drills of your youth one minute you're scribbling answers on your worksheet writing a note to your friend or if in university you're most likely asleep and it's rush week so the a

A quick trip to NM but a journey through time
Roughly a 4 hour drive east of our house is the Gila National Forest Gila Wilderness and within the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Once we were off the main highway and onto the Scenic Byway that leads to through the park we were engulfed by trees galore The byway itself was pretty exciting. There were portions of it that seemed barely wide enough for two passing cars. Luckily
Not Much Longer…
Entry 3 10 days before the tripFinalizationsIf you didn't get the pun it's final exam week here at UMD. Granted I only have 2 exams 2 and a half if you count short papers but nature decided to bless me with my first cold in 2 years this Monday. Wow what a spectacular day in Moab. I hiked to Delicate Arch this morning. Oh my goodness what an experience. Irsquove seen hundreds of images of Delicate Arch and even seen it from another viewpoint at least mile away when I was here in 2008 but seeing it up close is amazing.Itrsquos a mile and half hike across slick rock and coming up a ledge on the backside of the arch. When you come
Coen to Bamaga
Before we leave Coen we go to visit Charlies goldmine which belongs to an old Maltese chap who has been running a gold mine since the 1960's. He has made his house from old bottles and scap metal and has some cool metalic sculptures in his yard. He has loads of stories to tell and we will definetly camp overnight here on the way back down and do some panning for gold. This would be a great touris
Day 466468 Ambury RP to Shakespear RP New Zealand
Friday May 7thWe left Ambury Farm RP and drove into the city where Talita had a meeting set up for 11am. We'd driven past the location before purely by accident so we kinda knew where it was. Today because we approached from the opposite direction we completely missed it. We eventually found the place and Talita's meeting went well.Cautiously uplifted we drove on to Browns Bay where we found
hjemlengsel
Rock art in Laura on to Coen

Back in Canada
We entered Texas at the RenosaPharr boarder crossing and compared to the central american crossings it was quick pleasent and painless. We were also glad to finally be able to understand everything they were saying. About 100kms down the road we came to a checkpoint designed to stop people smuggling. A dog sniffed the rv to check if we were harbouring any Mexican Aliens...a little strange... of

Cooktown
The campsite at Cooktown is nice with ready made shades which come in handy as it starts to chuck it down later that evening and we sit under the shade and keep dry. We arrive here on a Sunday and the place is dead it is a very small town and has beautiful old buildings and you can see it really hasn't changed much since the 1880's when it was a gold mining town. It is only recently that there ha
