My cat Angelina was given a shot of Convenia only a few days before her death. She developed a high fever, lethargy, dopiness, anorexia and other symptoms. She was already very ill, with possible FeLV, and Lymphoma of the liver and pancreas which came as a total surprise. She developed what seemed to be a cold and 2 weeks later, a few days after Convenia she was gone. I believe she was fatally ill, but I believe Convenia also caused a severe anemic reaction in her. Please don #39;t use this drug for your cat or dog- go to the Facebook Convenia Adverse reactions page for more information and to see what this drug is doing to cats and dogs on a daily basis. If your cat or dog has used Convenia and is having an adverse reaction you can try an aggressive probiotic treatment to counteract the convenia reaction but please consult with a vet before trying this. If your cat or dog has had an adverse Convenia reaction, please report this to Pfizer and to the FDA as well as asking your vet to make an official adverse report to Pfizer. If your cat or dog has passed away after a Convenia shot please also do a necropsy to determine the cause of death and to see if Convenia played a role.
