When I was in high school I had a friend named Drew, who would come to my shows to hear me sing. He would roll in the door with a giant smile and a bundle of excitement. He was born with Ataxia Telangiectasia, but he never let that slow him down. He recently passed away and this song is for him and his family.

My name is Charisse and I have Cerebral Palsy, Low Tone and Ataxia. I started my YouTube video three years ago when I was 16 years old. When I first began my videos I was having struggles being accepted and making friends at my new school. I was being mock, laugh at, and had rude comments made about my disability from my new classmates. I knew one reason they treated me this way was because they didn #39;t understand my disability. I knew there were other people that were having the same problems I did. So I started my YouTube videos sharing my life hoping to spread more awareness and understanding of people with disabilities. On Sunday February 3, Jai swam the Cole Classic 1km open water swim. He #39;s raised over $20000 for Friedreich #39;s Ataxia research and inspired FA sufferers and other people facing adversity around the world. Friedreich #39;s Ataxia is a degenerative muscle disease that is progressively damaging Jai #39;s nervous system, leading over time to muscle weakness, diabetes and heart disease.
