How do you take on your world? Share your story: stedwards.edu/yourworld Hear Sam #39;s story: My dream is to help people stay healthy through scientific research. I #39;ve always loved math and science. I want to pursue an MD/PhD in biochemical physics and use what I learn to help people. I work on campus as a biology lab assistant, CAMP Calculus 2 tutor and a Peer Academic Coach, so other students can come to me if they #39;re having trouble with schoolwork. In the Natural Sciences Living Learning Community, I participated in group community service projects. Through Campus Ministry, I volunteered with the Bastrop fire relief efforts and delivered Thanksgiving dinner to families in need. I also donate blood whenever I am able to. During a summer internship with MD Anderson, I worked on targeting a specific virus that is known to be more active in cancer cells. I #39;m also very interested in how food culture impacts diet and a population #39;s health now and in future generations. I want to learn more about the diets of different cultures and possibly find ways to improve the American diet to promote better health. I #39;ve been given a lot of love and support in my life. Ng et al. reveal that epithelial sheets move faster on stiffer matrices due to increased myosin contractility and mechanical coupling through cell-cell adhesions. Inline dilution is a convenient feature of process chromatography systems to reduce size and quantity of buffers tanks. This method allows inline dilution of concentrated buffers up to 10X with water supplied from a water loop, thus allowing the volume of buffer tanks to be reduced by ten times. Also, very often different steps of the process chromatography purification involve the same chemical solution at different concentrations; thus, "inline dilution" allows these steps to be performed with the same concentrated buffer tank. Inline dilution can also be used to condition the product sample just before loading onto the column. The precision of the inline dilution and flow control are paramount to ensure a reliable and reproducible purification from run to run. These criteria are usually considered to be Critical Quality Attributes for the process. Bio-Rad offers best-in-class inline dilution control based on high-precision flowmeters and positive displacement pumps, which provide a total solution compared with alternative instruments.
