Turmeric and it #39;s active ingredient curcumin has to be the wonder herb of the 21st century. If you #39;re suffering from Lyme arthritis like me or any other diseases that cause inflammation. I would read up on this herb and consider taking it. Curcumin works by stopping platelets from forming blood clots and lowering two inflammatory enzymes, LOX and COX-2. Personally I can feel a difference when I #39;m taking it, the inflammation in my joints doesn #39;t hurt as much. While your inflammation could be caused by other things such as normal wear and tear, immune system, disease, food, menopause, environment, or even psychological stress. First thing people think when they get pain is to pop a pharmaceutical pill such as ibuprofen. While pills like ibuprofen do work to help combat pain and inflammation, you can only stay on them for a period of time before the chemical wreaks havoc on your liver and gut. Many of these nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have even been recorded to cause death. When you look up any serious side effects from Turmeric, you don #39;t see many, and if there are any, they are very minor. Remind you this is a just a spice and it can be taken for a long period time. And that #39;s the way to reap the full benefits, the spice has been used in Indian cuisine for centuries. In addition, early research suggests that the use of Marinol or natural THC may help reduce the tics experienced by patients with Tourette Syndrome. While Marinol is widely available, with prescription, many people who have also used THC in a natural form find that the version actually derived from cannabis is more effective than the synthetic version. Myelin serves both to protect axons and to speed the conduction of electrical impulses along nerve fibers. The destruction of myelin results in scarring and loss of nerve cells and can lead to a whole host of symptoms for MS patients, including paralysis, depression, loss of memory, fatigue and problems with vision, balance, bladder and bowel control. However, because it is a disease that progresses slowly, MS can be very mild for some patients and many people with MS are able to lead full and active lives. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the National Institutes of Health, MS is more common in women than men and is more than twice as likely to affect whites as other races. Also, the prevalence of MS among people in the more northerly climate zone is five times higher than for people in the tropics. The cause of MS is unknown but environmental, viral and genetic causes may play a role. MS is not fatal or contagious, although severe symptoms may lead to a shortened or decreased quality of life for some people. Fatigue, one of the most common symptoms of MS, can be profoundly disabling.
