How to use Sermorelin: Step by Step Guide from Wellness MGT

Sermorelin (also known as GRF 1-29) is a stimulant of growth hormone secretion. It belongs to the group of peptide hormones GHRH (Growth-hormone-releasing hormone), provides a marked increase in levels of growth hormone (somatropin) in a short time, however, it has a small half-life, so during the course multiple daily application is necessary.

Its main action is tied to the increase in growth hormone levels. Therefore, the improvements that the drug provides, is identical to the natural growth hormone. Thus, the course of Sermorelin dosage administrationcan provide a high quality muscle growth, improve the basic physical characteristics (endurance, strength) and generally strengthen the body, including the strengtheningof the immune defenses.

Also, the results of the use of the peptide may improve the quality of hair, skin and nails, strengthen the joints, bones and ligaments; mediated drug exhibits anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effect.

The question, How to use Sermorelin Acetate? is easy to answer. Sermorelin dose injections should be performed either intramuscularly or subcutaneously.

The optimal Sermorelin dosageis 100 mg taken from 1 to 4 times per day.

The best time of injection at thrice Sermorelin administration is considered the following scheme: 1 injection 15 minutes before the meal and the last shortly before bedtime.

How to use Sermorelin if it is a powder? To prepare a solution, the manufacturers provide three solvents:

The Sermorelin Acetate dosage is diluted directly before the use in at least 0.5 ml of the supplied solvent.

Now, when youre prepared Sermorelin dosage, you can proceed to the very injection. Where to do it? Under the skin or intramuscularly, as you can better. In this case it is better to use an insulin syringe, wherein a hundred-unit scale is.

With clean hands, you can now begin the sermorelin injections administration:

Sermorelin GHRP-6 dosage is determined by the prescribing doctor based on brain size. The following Sermorelin dosage recommendations include only the average doses of Sermorelin . If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.

Useful article: Importance of HGH for Women

The amount of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine. Also, Sermorelin daily dosage, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the medical problem for which you are using the medicine.

For most adults, the most common dosage of 200 mcg will suffice. A proper Sermorelin dosage will encourage your pituitary gland to create more HGH organically and return you to a situation of health and strength that you experienced in your youth.

After removing the needle, recover it with the cap and discard the entire unit in the Sharps container.

The prepared solution can be stored in the refrigerator for 8-10 days. Also, it is worth noting that if you elect bacteriostatic water as a solvent, the storage life of the prepared solution is increased up to 1 month.Do not freeze.

As to the storage of lyophilized powder in vials, it is necessary to carry out it dry in a refrigerator (at 1-8 C degrees). Subject to these conditions, the shelf life of the peptide will be up to 2 years.

The Responsibility of Immortality: Welcome to the New …

In the summer of 1990, I was running a pretty weird nightclub in the Roppongi neighborhood of Tokyo. I was deeply immersed in the global cyberpunk scene and working to bring the Tokyo node of this fast-expanding, posthuman, science-fiction-and-psychedelic-drug-fueled movement online. The Japanese scene was more centered around videogames and multimedia than around acid and other psychedelics, and Timothy Leary, a dean of 60s counterculture and proponent of psychedelia who was always fascinated with anything mind-expanding, was interested in learning more about it. Tim anointed the Japanese youth, including the 24-year-old me, The New Breed. He adopted me as a godson, and we started writing a book about The New Breed together, starting with tune in, turn on, take over, as a riff off Tims original and very famous turn on, tune in, drop out. We never finished the book, but we did end up spending a lot of time together. (I should dig out my old notes and finish the book.)

Tim introduced me to his friends in Los Angeles and San Francisco. They were a living menagerie of the counterculture in the United States since the 60s. There were the traditional New Age types: hippies, cyberpunks, and transhumanists, too. In my early twenties, I was an eager and budding techno-utopian, dreaming of the day when I would become immortal and ascend to the stars into cryogenic slumber to awake on a distant planet. Or perhaps I would have my brain uploaded into a computer network, to become part of some intergalactic superbrain.

Good times. Those were the days and, for some, still are.

Weve been yearning for immortality at least since the Epic of Gilgamesh. In Greek mythology, Zeus grants Eoss mortal lover Tithonus immortalitybut the goddess forgets to ask for eternal youth as well. Tithonus grows old and decrepit, begging for death. When I hear about life extension today, I am often perplexed, even frustrated. Are we are talking about eternal youth, eternal old age, or having our cryogenically frozen brains thawed out 2,000 years from now to perform tricks in a future alien zoo?

The latest enthusiasm for eternal life largely stems not from any acid-soaked, tie-dyed counterculture but from the belief that technology will enhance humans and make them immortal. Todays transhumanist movement, sometimes called H+, encompasses a broad range of issues and diversity of belief, but the notion of immortalityor, more correctly, amortalityis the central tenet. Transhumanists believe that technology will inevitably eliminate aging or disease as causes of death and instead turn death into the result of an accidental or voluntary physical intervention.

As science marches forward, and age reversal and the elimination of diseases becomes a real possibility, what once seemed like a science fiction dream is becoming more real, transforming the transhumanist movement and its role in society from a crazy subculture to a Silicon Valley money- and technology-fueled shot on goal and more of a practical hedge than the sci-fi dream of its progenitors.

Transhumanism can be traced back to futurists in the 60s, most notably FM-2030. As the development of new, computer-based technologies began to turn into a revolution to rival the Industrial Revolution, Max More defined transhumanism as the effort to become posthuman through scientific advances like mind uploading. He developed his own variant of Transhumanism and named it Extropy, and together with Tom Morrow, founded the Extropy Institute, whose email list created a community of Extopians in the internets cyberpunk era. Its members discussed AI, cryonics, nanotech and crypotoanarchy, among other things, and some reverted to transhumanism, creating an organization now known as Humanity+. As the Tech Revolution continued, Extropians and transhumanists began actively experimenting with technologys ability to deliver amortality.

In fact, Timothy Leary planned to have his head frozen by Alcor, preserving his brain and, presumably, his sense of humor and unique intelligence. But as he approached his deathI happened to visit him the night before he died in 1996the vibe of the Alcor team moving weird cryo-gear into his house creeped Tim out, and he ended up opting for the shoot my ashes into space path, which seemed more appropriate to me as well. All of his friends got a bit of his ashes, too, and having Timothy Leary ashes became a thing for a while. It left me wondering, every time I spoke to groups of transhumanists shaking their fists in the air and rattling their Alcor freeze me when I die bracelets: How many would actually go through with the freezing?

That was 20 years ago. The transhumanist and Extropian movements (and even the Media Lab) have gotten more sober since those techno-utopian days, when even I was giddy with optimism. Nonetheless, as science fiction gives way to real science, many of the ZOMG if only conversations are becoming arguments about when and how, and the shift from Haight-Ashbury to Silicon Valley has stripped the movement of its tie-dye and beads and replaced them with Pied Piper shirts. Just as the road to hell is paved with good intentions, the road that brought us Cambridge Analytica and the Pizzagate conspiracy was paved with optimism and oaths to not be evil.

Renowned Harvard geneticist George Church once told me that breakthroughs in biological engineering are coming so fast we cant predict how they will develop going forward. Crispr, a low-cost gene editing technology that is transforming our ability to design and edit the genome, was completely unanticipated; experts thought it was impossible ... until it wasnt. Next-generation gene sequencing is decreasing in price, far faster than Moores Law for processors. In many ways, bioengineering is moving faster than computing. Church believes that amortality and age reversal will seem difficult and fraught with issues ... until they arent. He is currently experimenting with age reversal in dogs using gene therapy that has been successful in mice, a technique he believes is the most promising of nine broad approaches to mortality and aginggenome stability, telomere extension, epigenetics, proteostasis, caloric restriction, mitochondrial research, cell senescence, stem cell exhaustion, and intercellular communication.

Churchs research is but one of the key discoveries giving us hope that we may someday understand aging and possibly reverse it. My bet is that we will significantly lengthen, if not eliminate, the notion of natural lifespan, although its impossible to predict exactly when.

But what does this mean? Making things technically possible doesnt always make them societally possible or even desirable, and just because we can do something doesnt mean we should (as were increasingly realizing, watching the technologies we have developed transform into dark zombies instead of the wonderful utopian tools their designers imagined).

Human beings are tremendously adaptable and resilient, and we seem to quickly adjust to almost any technological change. Unfortunately, not all of our problems are technical and we are really bad at fixing social problems. Even the ones that we like to think weve fixed, like racism, keep morphing and getting stronger, like drug-resistant pathogens.

Dont get me wrongI think its important to be optimistic and passionate and push the boundaries of understanding to improve the human condition. But there is a religious tone in some of the arguments, and even a Way of the Future Church, which believes that the creation of super intelligence is inevitable. As Yuval Harari writes in Homo Deus, new technologies kill old gods and give birth to new gods. When he was still just Sir Martin Rees, now Lord Martin Rees once told a group of us a story (which has been retold in various forms in various places) about how he was interviewed by what he called the society for the abolition of involuntary death in California. The members offered to put him in cryonic storage when he died, and when he politely told them hed rather be dead than in a deep freeze, they called him a deathist.

Transhumanists correctly argue that every time you take a baby aspirin (or have open heart surgery), youre intervening to make your life better and longer. They contend that there is no categorical difference between many modern medical procedures and the quest to beat death; its just a matter of degree. I tend to agree.

Yet we can clearly imagine the perils of amortality. Would dictators hold onto power endlessly? How would universities work if faculty never retired? Would the population explode? Would endless life be only for the wealthy, or would the poor be forced to toil forever? Clearly many of our social and philosophical systems would break. Back in 2003, Francis Fukuyama, in Our Posthuman Future: Consequences of the Biotechnology Revolution, warned us of the perils of life extension and explained how biotech was taking us into a posthuman future with catastrophic consequences to civilization even with the best intentions.

I think its unlikely that well be uploading our minds to computers any time soon, but I do believe changes that challenge what it means to be human" are coming. Philosopher Nikola Danaylov in his Transhumanist Manifesto says, We must all respect autonomy and individual rights of all sentience throughout the universe, including humans, non-human animals, and any future AI, modified life forms, or other intelligences. That sounds progressive and good.

Still, in his manifesto Nikola also writes, Transhumanists of the world unitewe have immortality to gain and only biology to lose. That sounds a little scary to me. I poked Nikola about this, and he pointed out that he wrote this manifesto a while ago and his position has become more subtle. But many of his peers are as radical as ever. I think transhumanism, especially its strong, passionate base in exuberant Silicon Valley, could use an overhaul that makes it more attentive to and integrated with our complex societal systems. At the same time, we need to help the left-behind parts of society catch up and participate in, rather than just become subjected to, the technological transformations that are looming. Now that the dog has caught the car, tranhumanism has to transform our fantasy into a responsible reality.

I, for one, still dream of flourishing in the future through advances in science and technology, but hopefully one that addresses societal inequities, retains the richness and diversity of our natural systems and indigenous cultures, rather than the somewhat simple and sterile futures depicted by many science fiction writers and futurists. Timothy Leary liked to remind us to remember our hippie roots, with their celebration of diversity and nature, and I hear him calling us again.

Growth Hormone Optimization | Virility Inc.

Human Growth Hormone (hGH) plays a lead role in promoting our overall health by regulating muscle and bone growth, the metabolism of sugar and fat, and may even have a major role in heart health. Growth Hormone is responsible for the growth in height and skeletal muscle mass of youngsters. It is the catalyst to the reproduction of cells and cellular repair / regeneration. This essential hormone is abundant in the body when we are young, but it decreases as we get older.

HGH also plays a critical role in our metabolism and the health of our body tissue throughout our lives, Consequently, it is critical that we maintain adequate levels of GH, and not allow ourselves to become growth hormone deficient as we age. The rate of GH production declines steadily after puberty.

A number of physiological changes contribute to this decline, including a decrease in the serum levels of IGF-1. A decline in the production in the hypothalamus of hormones that stimulate GH production also plays a role in the reduction of growth hormone in our bodies as we age.Virility, Inc. offers medical treatment designed to elevate a patients hGH level to that of an extremely healthy, active and athletic young man.

Hormone Replacement Therapy Doctor Steven Gershon …

You are never too old for this therapy. Often, adults over 60 years old believe its too late for them. Hormone levels in older adults are at the lowest levels of our lives. Replacing these hormones to optimal levels with bioidentical hormones can produce a quick response.

Bioidentical hormones have a chemical structure that is identical to the hormones naturally produced by the body. We refer to them as natural because they are natural to the human body. Synthetic hormones have a structure similar to a form produced by your body, but not identical. These chemical differences mean the synthetic hormone acts differently, producing substantially different effects. Bioidentical and synthetic hormones should not be considered the same or used interchangeably. They are entirely different.

Results will vary with each person. However, typical results occur within three to four months, where youll experience improvements in

Medical literature reports that combining bioidentical hormone replacement with proper nutrition and exercise reduces your risks of disease.

Bioidentical hormone optimization uses hormones that have a chemical structure thats identical to your bodys naturally produced hormones. Aging is really a decline in our bodys hormone levels, substances that were once plentiful. When your body can regain and maintain endocrine and metabolic functions at the higher end of normal range, it provides you with a better chance for a robust and healthy life.

The pure biologically identical hormone is either extracted from plants or synthetically manufactured. What is most important is that the end product is a molecule identical to the hormone molecule found naturally in the human body. This applies to all hormones, including thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA.

Healthy testosterone levels are not only a physical state of prime health, but a mental state of positive wellness and aggression.

A man with low testosterone will experience not only a physical decline, but also a diminished quality of life.

Testosterone is often misrepresented by the media at large as inciting "hostility", or its effects are reduced down to building muscle only, and its portrayed as being detrimental to health. Nothing could be further from the truth. Comprehensive clinical evidence has unequivocally demonstrated that healthy testosterone levels not only slow the aging process and improve physical markers of health, but that they also reduce the possibility of degenerative disease, and by extension vastly improve quality of life.

Men NEED Optimal Testosterone Levels to age powerfully and live to their maximum potential.

Review of HGH & Sermorelin Injections for Weight Loss …

Home HGH Therapy Sermorelin Review of Injectable HGH & Sermorelin Acetate for Weight Loss & Muscle Gain (Includes Dosage Protocol)

Last Updated: Mar 28, 2018 @ 4:42 am

Youve probably heard about the muscle gain / weight loss therapies that base their claims on the effects human Growth hormone (HGH) can have on the body.

The theory is that HGH promotes muscle development and reduces the bodys fat storage, therefore enhancing weight loss and bodybuilding efforts.

But does it really work, or is HGH therapy just another fad?

That is the question we are going to explore in this article and we will leave no stone unturned.

HGH is a naturally occurring hormone produced by the pituitary gland and its function is to fuel growth and development. It boosts the bodys natural ability to rebuild tissue, promotes muscle growth, stimulates brain function, boosts energy and regulates the metabolism.

The levels of HGH in the human body are highest when we are teenagers. As we age, the body begins to produce less HGH. Studies have shown that those who are overweight tend to have lower than average HGH levels. Could this HGH deficiency be the cause of obesity? And if so, will hGH injections for weight loss be an effective therapy?

In 1990, the New England Journal of Medicine published the results of a study in which HGH injections were administered to adults. The results were convincing: subjects showed an average of 8.8% in muscle gain and 14% loss of body fat. Needless to say, the results of this study were somewhat controversial with many critics citing the potentially negative effects of HGH injections. However, and additional study published in 1999 by the US National Institutes of health combined HGH with calorie restrictions with similar results.

However, the fact remains that the physiological processes promoted by HGH would promote muscle gain and weight loss. Heres how:

Human Growth Hormone causes the liver to secrete a hormone known as IGF-1. The metabolic effects of this hormone are well-known. Stored fat in the form of triglycerides are broken down and converted into energy. There is less translocation of sugars from the bloodstream into cells and the body retains less sodium, phosphates and water. Many overweight people actually suffer more from water retention than excessive fat storage. Another beneficial effect of HGH is the stimulation of protein production hence its muscle building reputation. In fact, HGH use is banned in the Olympic Games and other athletic events for exactly this reason.

HGH can definitely boost weight loss and promote muscle development, but there are some additional benefits too.

At this point having learnt about hGH for weight loss, you may be wondering Where can I get HGH injections? So far, everything sounds too good to be true, so whats the catch? Here it is: using HGH injections for weight loss or bodybuilding has several associated health risks. By injecting HGH rather than letting the pituitary gland do its job, you experience unnaturally high levels of HGH. You can definitely have too much of a good thing, and side effects of HGH weight loss injections include:

HGH injections side effects can be pretty dangerous at worst, uncomfortable at best. Even if you decide that all these risks are worth taking, you will have difficulty in obtaining HGH for fat loss. It is a controlled substance and because of the risk factors, doctors will not give you prescription HGH.

You might think its a good idea to buy HGH injections online from some site that offers Human Growth Hormone for sale. Its not legal. Getting it on the black market means you could be getting anything -not necessarily HGH at all and you run the risk of falling foul of the law. Even supposing you can get hold of it, you will certainly pay a small fortune for a course of HGH online or anywhere else. The bottom line is: dont buy injectable HGH. But there is still some good news, Sermorelin Acetate offers an excellent alternative. Read on to find out more!

We have already ascertained that injecting yourself with HGH is extremely risky, expensive and inadvisable, but theres more than one way to achieve any end. If you want to boost your HGH levels, you can also do it by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more HGH. You may be asking yourself if thats not exactly the same as directly injecting HGH. It isnt. Heres the science behind this idea.

Sermorelin Acetate is not a growth hormone. It is a growth hormone-releasing hormone or GHRH. It gets to work on the pituitary gland which in turn releases more HGH. So far so good, but why is it a healthier approach than HGH injections and how does Sermorelin work?

Simply put, your endocrine system will simply not allow your pituitary gland to produce too much HGH. You cannot end up with an overdose. The concentration of HGH will remain within healthy parameters.

The connections between sermorelin, bodybuilding, weight loss and HGH are already known. However, the cost and the risks are high. By encouraging the body to produce its own HGH, Sermorelin injections offer a safe way to take advantage of the benefits of HGH while eliminating the risks of overdosing and reducing the chances of side-effects.

The bodybuilding community has a lot to say about the benefits of Sermorelin, but many of these users confuse Sermorelin with steroids. There is a big difference. Using steroids is dangerous and unhealthy and results in massive hormone imbalances in the body. Sermorelin has none of these effects.

Admittedly, using Sermorelin hGH therapy is banned in athletics because it is felt that the increased muscle and endurance it imparts amounts to an unfair advantage, but if youre not a competitive athlete, unfair advantages become perfectly fair!

Do you want extra energy and endurance? Why not? Would you like your body to burn more fat? Absolutely! Do you want your muscles to recover faster and bulk up quicker? Why not? Best of all, youre doing it by using your bodys natural ability to synthesize enough, but not too much growth hormone. Sermorelin, bodybuilding and weight loss go hand in hand.

Weight loss is all about burning fat. If your HGH levels are low, your body is more inclined to hang onto fat and as we age, we have a higher percentage of body fat compared to lean muscle. Thats because our HGH levels decrease after our teens and continue to do so throughout our lifespan.

By boosting our HGH levels naturally, we persuade our bodies that extra fat storage is unnecessary and that fat should be burned to give us energy. This extra energy can be applied to extra exercise which in turn burns even more fat. The result is an exponential increase in our ability to shed those extra kilograms.

Sure, you can lose a lot of weight by crash-dieting, but since most of the weight you lose will consist of muscle, youre not doing yourself any favors. As if that werent enough, crash dieting makes the body think that it had better store away some extra fat as soon as it can in case you start starving yourself again. You end the diet and what happens? Massive weight gain!

Sermorelin for weight loss allows you to lose weight naturally. Your body isnt ringing any alarm bells, in fact, its healthier and stronger than ever before. You lose weight and it stays off.

Because Sermorelin promotes HGH secretion by the pituitary gland, you will experience all the benefits of HGH without any of the dangers associated with injecting HGH. These benefits include positive effects on:

Your endocrine system regulates itself, so youll never have too much and your pituitary gland gets used to producing more HGH rather than being suppressed. In simple terms, you experience the rejuvenating effects of HGH in a safe and cost-effective way.

It is always best to be guided by your prescribing health care professional when determining how much Sermorelin you should take. As a general guideline, a commonly prescribed Sermorelin dosing protocol is 3-9mg per month broken up into daily 100-300mcg shots. Recommended bodybuilding and weight loss dosages are generally the same for men and women since human growth hormone is produced at similar amounts in both sexes.

When adding GHRP-2 or GHRP-6 to the mix for added performance benefits, prescribed dosages also commonly range between 100-300mcg per daily injection. Your health care practitioner may recommend less or more depending on your individual circumstances so it is always best to follow the instructions you are given by them.

As for Sermorelin cycle length, studies have shown that the greatest benefits from hGH replacement therapy occur 6-12 months after continuous treatment. But once again, you should be guided by your doctor as to the optimal cycle length for your needs.

When you are ready to begin using Sermorelin, a decision that often needs to be made is whether or not to add GHRP-2 and/or GHRP-6 to your hGH replacement therapy protocol. This is a decision which is best made via consultation with the doctor prescribing the peptides for you.

They will likely take into account your individual goals to determine which is the better option for you. For example, Sermorelin on its own is excellent for anti-aging benefits such as increasing energy, strengthening joints and connective tissue, healthier hair, skin and nails and improving general muscle tone and weight loss efforts.

The Sermorelin/ GHRP-6 / GHRP-2 blend on the other hand is likely to more powerfully improve growth hormones levels so may be more suitable for individuals who want to trim down but also add muscle bulk (as opposed to just toning existing muscle).

The answer to this questions is obvious: its safer, its more natural and it wont cost you an absolute fortune. In addition, you can get Sermorelin Acetate from a reputable pharmacy provided you have a doctors prescription. Once thats done, you can experience all the Sermorelin results without the synthetic HGH risks. The Sermorelin cost and safety are the primary deciding factors.

We have already looked at some of the dangerous side effects of HGH when it is administered directly. We know that Sermorelin is less dangerous, but what are the specific Sermorelin side effects?

Compared to HGH, these are very mild. You may have some pain, swelling or redness at the injection site and a few people experience headaches, flushed skin, dizziness, hyperactivity or sleepiness. You could also get hives, a temporary skin rash. Not everybody experiences these side-effects in fact very few people do and none of the side-effects presents a serious danger to your health.

You only have to compare the side effects listed for each of these treatments, HGH and Sermorelin, on Drugs.com to see what a marked difference there is and that Sermorelin is the better, safer option.

Not all doctors support the use of Sermorelin for weight loss and muscle building. However, you can get medical support online and if the doctor believes that Sermorelin might work for you, he/she will supply you with a prescription that allows a US pharmacy to ship the treatment directly to you.

Your telemedicine provider (online doctor) will not sell any products directly to you that way, you know that he or she has no vested interests in selling any product and you can buy Sermorelin injections (Performance Peptides) without having to worry about scams.

Let the buyer beware: You can buy Sermorelin online, but if anyone tries to sell you Sermorelin without a prescription, theyre probably not selling Sermorelin at all!

Check out the supplier we recommend for US pharmacy made Sermorelin

Hormone Replacement Therapy | Your Wellness Center

Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy (NHRT) is the use of bio-identical hormones (estrogens, progesterone, and/or testosterone) to treat hormone imbalances and deficiencies. While it is natural for our bodies to gradually decrease (or stop) the production of important hormones over time, it doesnt make the symptoms any easier to handle. NHRT works to maintain a proper hormone balance, as well as alleviate the symptoms that are seen with decreased production or elimination, such as hot flashes, fatigue, loss of focus, weight gain, depression, loss of muscle mass, decreased sex drive, poor sleep, anxiety, osteoporosis, and ED (erectile dysfunction).

Bio-identical hormones, also known as bio-natural and bio-available hormones, are hormones chemically-identical to the naturally-occurring hormones produced or once produced in the body. The chemical structure, behaviors, and interactions with cell-surface receptors and other hormones are identical to those that naturally occur in the body. Because these hormones are not structurally altered, by law they cannot be patented.

Bio-identical hormones are superior tosynthetic hormones, which have beenchemically altered in a labto closely resemble the hormones already naturally-occurring in our bodies. Pharmaceutical companies alter these hormones so that they can obtain patent protection on the product. This allows them to obtain FDA-approval, acquire insurance coverage, and generate and protect profits.

As an example, the structures below represent the difference between natural progesterone and Provera. Provera, produced by Pfizer, was created to simulate the benefits of naturally-occurring progesterone in our body. Unfortunately for our bodies, because Provera has been altered, it yields a myriad of risks, including increased chances of cancer and other co-morbidities.

The same is true of the testosterone structures below:

We strive to be on the forefront of hormone optimization research, and believe that using bio-identical hormones is the best step in the path to helping our clients lives. To this end, we are proud to be a part of a select group of physician practices with an advanced-level training in the newly established Advanced Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (ABHRT) Certification Program. This allows us to use specialized pharmacies called Compounding Pharmacies to prescribe natural progesterone, testosterone, and estradiol for clients. You cannot find natural hormones at commercial pharmacies like Kroger, Walgreens, or CVS. A simple rule of thumb is that if the prescription is covered by insurance, it is not bio-identical/natural.

If it is determined that hormone replacement therapy could be beneficial for you, an individualized hormone replacement plan is established with a provider at the first hormone replacement therapy appointment.

Most commonly, compounded hormone pellets are used to deliver the bio-identical hormones into the body. After the first pellet insertion, peak lab levels are drawn around 5 weeks. These lab results are then reviewed with a medical provider to ensure appropriate hormone doses are prescribed. Recurring pellet insertions are scheduled every 3-6 months depending on your medical history.

At Your Wellness Center, the providers interpret lab results differently compared to conventional methods. The providers look to treat you and your symptoms, not whether or not your blood draw number falls within the normal range on a piece of paper. We see men and women every day who come in with normal lab results but are still experiencing a myriad of symptoms that would be associated with a low level. What that means to us at Your Wellness Center is that you are not part of this normal population and therefore shouldnt be treated as such. Our providers work with you to improve your quality of life, bring your lab levels to the best optimal ranges possible, and ensure that you are being treated as an individual, not just a number on a piece of paper.

Pellet therapy is the use of delivering bio-identical hormones (size of a grain of rice) that are inserted typically under the skin of the fatty part of the buttocks. The pellets completely dissolve over a three to six month period leaving no residual effects under the skin. Our medical providers use a local anesthetic to make the procedure very tolerable. A tiny incision is made and the pellets are inserted using a small insertion device. A piece of tape is used to close the incision and the whole procedure takes only a few minutes.

On average, women spend between $900-$1,200 per year on Hormone Replacement Therapy. This includes all provider visits, necessary bloodwork, and any medications prescribed as part of the treatment plan.

Men, on the other hand, will spend between $1,600-$2,100 per year for the same associated costs.

You’ve Heard About "Low T" But What About "Low E"?

Estrogen: An Unlikely Player

As most men approach middle age, the seemingly inevitable starts to occur: we gain weight around the waistline, sexual desire starts to wane, were unable to lift as much weight at the gym, and we seem to simply have a harder time keeping up with the younger guys.

And most of us doctors included think that loss of testosterone is the main culprit. Not totally true. Were learning that another hormone plays a key role in the development of some of these symptoms of aging in men. And its an unlikely player. That hormone is estrogen.

When most of us think of estrogen, we think of women. Thats because estrogen is a key hormone in womens health. And the loss of estrogen in women at menopause causes big physiological changes. Weight gain, skin dryness, wrinkles, heart attacks, bone loss and osteoporosis, loss of sexual sensation and dementia are just some of the effects of loss of estrogen in women.

Yet estrogen is proving to play a serious role in the aging of men, too. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicinedemonstrated that in men, while low testosterone is the main culprit in loss of muscle strength, loss of estrogen is a big cause of that mid-section weight gain, the infamous pot-belly. And it seems that loss of both testosterone and estrogen together contributes to diminished sex drive and sexual function in men.

But Wait.Isnt Estrogen Harmful to Men?

The answer to this question seems to be related to where the estrogen comes from. So lets talk about that for a moment.

In healthy men, estrogen, specifically estradiol (a form of estrogen), comes from testosterone. There is an enzyme, aromatase, that converts a certain amount of a mans testosterone to estradiol. So as a healthy mans testosterone levels rise or fall, estradiol levels tend to rise and fall as well. The average estradiol level of an adult male is about 75 pg/mL. But men can make estrogen another way as well. In obese men, there is an increased concentration of a different form of estrogen, estrone. This estrone gets converted to estradiol (as opposed to conversion of testosterone to estradiol). So high estrogen in obese men is due to another reason than high estrogen in healthy men. It is important to not confuse two, because they play out very differently with regard to our health.

The Protective Effect of Estrogen in Men

High endogenous estrogen levels in normal men is protective against coronary artery disease, Type 2 Diabetes, and prostate cancer. (This is not true, however, in obese men with high estrogen levels because the estrogen produced in visceral fat is estrone, which then converts to estradiol versus the aromatization of testosterone to estradiol.)

As men age, testosterone levels fall, and so do estrogen levels. This contributes to the accumulation of excess fat in men and their lack of sex drive and sexual function. They also begin to lose the protection against heart disease, Type 2 Diabetes, and prostate cancer that estrogen provides.

Estrogen deficiency has also been implicated in the pathogenesis of osteoporosis in men. A study published in Osteoporosis Int.demonstrated that 38% of men with osteoporosis had undetectable serum estradiol levels. This as well as more recent studies show that estrogen deficiency, not androgen (e.g. testosterone) deficiency is much more prevalent in male osteoporosis.

Additionally, estradiol levels in men are inversely correlated with sperm DNA damage, suggesting that estradiol may have a protective effect on sperm DNA.

So How Do Men Maintain Optimal Estrogen Levels as They Age?

One of the goals of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is to restore hormone levels back to the optimal levels of a young adult. For estrogen in men, this means restoring levels to about 75 pg/mL. The best way to achieve this in men is by optimizing testosterone levels. Some of the testosterone will be converted to estrogen, therefore maintaining adequate levels.

To get started, you should have your testosterone and estrogen levels checked by a physician who specializes in hormone optimization. Its a simple blood test. Once you know if youre deficient, you can discuss options to optimize your levels so you can look and feel as good as possible while at the same time significantly decreasing your risk for chronic degenerative diseases.

7 Symptoms of Low Testosterone in Women – Low T Treatment …

The Symptoms of Low Testosterone in Women Include More Than You Might Think

The symptoms of low testosterone in women are often passed off as just part of getting older, but they shouldnt be.

Testosterone is a hormone generally considered important for men, but did you know it is also a vital hormone for women to maintain a high quality of life?

Women often worry more about having high testosterone than low testosterone, but its possible your high testosterone is actually low testosterone thats been misdiagnosed.

That being said, if youve already been diagnosed with low testosterone, youre in the right place.

If youre experiencing any of these common symptoms, it may be time to consult with a medical professional who can check your hormone levels and help you determine the best course of action.

If you want to learn more about our testosterone therapy services for women, click here.

Here are 7 of the more common symptoms of low testosterone in women:

If youre constantly tired, even when youre able to obtain a full nights sleep, you could be experiencing one of the symptoms of low testosterone in women. Decreased testosterone levels may contribute to you feeling exhausted and drained.

You may even find it difficult to sleep through the night. Disrupted sleep is another common symptom for women with low testosterone. A healthy hormonal balance is key to achieving consistent, restful sleep.

Many women with low testosterone experience loss of muscle and progressive weight gain.

Midlife weight gain is so common that women often assume its just part of getting older, but if you are appreciate the inability to control your weight or have changes in muscle tone and bone density, you may be exhibiting symptoms of low testosterone.

Just like in men, testosterone affects sexual arousal in women. Low testosterone can affect womens sex lives in the following ways:

Because all of these symptoms are often associated with other types of illnesses, make sure you talk to your doctor before you begin testosterone treatments.

If you are experiencing sudden bouts of depression, unexplained mood swings, or a generally low mood, then you may be suffering from low testosterone.

Testosterone plays an important role in mood regulation in the body, and low levels of testosterone can play havoc with the bodys ability to regulate itself. If you are considering taking antidepressants to deal with your depression, then you may want to talk to your doctor about the possibility that your testosterone is low.

Even if you are not experiencing severe depression, you may still be having unpredictable mood swings, or even just a general low feeling, or low mood. If you are experiencing these symptoms, talk to your doctor about the possibility of low testosterone.

Another possible symptom of decreased testosterone levels is anxiety. Although anxiety caused by low testosterone is usually mild, it can possibly cause panic attacks.

If you suddenly experience bouts of anxiety, especially if you have never had anxiety issues in the past, then you may want to talk to your doctor about low testosterone.

According to this article, These mood-related symptoms, like anxiety and depression, occur because testosterone plays an important role in mood and neuropsychiatric regulation, and hormonal fluctuations can cause changes in brain chemistry that trigger symptoms.

If you find that you are having difficulty concentrating on normal tasks, especially when you have always been able to concentrate easily on the task at hand, then you may be suffering from low testosterone.

One of the difficulties in detecting low testosterone in women, and in men, is that the symptoms, like difficulty concentrating, often mimic the classic signs of aging.

Always check with your doctor before starting a testosterone replacement program to make sure you are not suffering from normal aging symptoms.

Hair loss is one of the more obvious symptoms of low testosterone, so keep an eye out for any hair loss, on your head or otherwise.

Although hair loss from low testosterone will be most obvious on the head, hair loss on other areas of the body may also occur.

If you notice that you have to shave your legs and armpits fewer times per month than normal, or if you notice that your hair is getting patchy, you may be suffering from low testosterone.

According to this article, Hair loss is one of the more visual symptoms of low testosterone as the hormone supports healthy hair production and maintenance. This symptom most often manifests as patchy hair cover on the head, or even baldness in women.

Body hair is also affected, though these symptoms are typically less noticeable, particularly in women who regularly shave their legs and armpits.

If youre experiencing any of these symptoms, the next best step is to consult with your doctor or book a free consultation at one of our DFW locations. Well discuss your symptoms, check your levels and determine if testosterone replacement therapy is right for you.

Transhumanism & Posthumanism | BioethicsBytes

In this, the first of three episodes, the BBC4 mini-series Visions of The Future examines how some of the scientific advances of the 20th and early-21st century may shape our future. Specifically, presenter Michio Kaku Professor of physics and co-creator of string field theory posits that we are on the brink of an historic transition from the the age of scientific discovery to the age of scientific mastery (00:01:20). He suggests that having created artificial intelligence, unravelled the molecule of life and unlocked the secrets of matter (all 00:01:03), science of the future will be concerned with more than mere observation of nature. It will be concerned with its mastery.

Thus, while the individual programmes each explore human mastery of one of three key areas (intelligence, DNA and matter), the series as a whole maintains a consistent theme: that though this mastery offers us unparalleled freedom and opportunities (00:57:47) it also presents us with profound challenges and choices (00:01:46). Kaku refers to key social issues that will be raised by future science and technology as topics we must start to address today (00:57:59). In the first episode Kaku introduces a number of developments stemming from ubiquitous computing (00:06:19), many of which intersect with relatively new areas of debate in bioethics. Ubiquitous computing or ubiquitous technology is the view that powerful computer microchips will soon be everywhere. They will be such a taken-for-granted feature of every product we use or buy, that they will become largely unnoticed and invisible. While obvious applications of this include intelligent cars and roads, health care monitoring technologies might also become commonplace. For example, Kaku suggests that wearable computers (00:07:40) in our clothes will monitor our health from the outside, and that by swallowing an aspirin-sized pill with the power of a PC and a video camera (00:08:45) the health of our internal organs might also be continuously assessed.

However, as interviewee Susan Greenfield notes, the biggest changes may come when ubiquitous technology converges with the internet (00:09:11); changes which raise some rather disturbing questions (00:18:00). These focus on issues of identity (loss of identity, multiple identities), the preference of virtual social networks over real social networks, and the impact upon family life. As Greenfield further comments, current experience with virtual reality worlds like Second Life and online gaming, suggests changes are already taking place in these areas.

For Kaku, however, it is in AI (artificial intelligence) that an evolutionary leap that will profoundly challenge the human condition (00:22:08) is now taking place. While he does describe the types of monitoring technologies noted above as machine intelligences, it is in the move towards intelligent machines that the future lies. It is these machines that raise a number of important questions with respect to the relatively new bioethical area of robot ethics, including:

These questions also intersect with long-standing debates in philosophy and other areas of ethics, and have also been explored in popular science books and TV fiction (see the BioethicsBytes posts on Kevin Warwicks I, Cyborg and the Cybermen episodes of BBCs Doctor Who). For example, phenomenologists, epistemologists and AI experts have long debated whether machines will ever display human level intelligence (00:29:18) including such social skills as getting the joke (00:37:52) or whether they will be limited to merely mimicking some aspects of it. Kaku explores this question with commentators and AI researchers like Ray Kurzweil and Rosalind Picard, and focuses on emotion, which he suggests is critical for higher intelligence (00:36:58). Current work in affective computing is directed towards developing robots with some such capacities, though as technology forecaster Paul Saffo notes, youll know its not really intelligent (00:35:51).

Similarly, questions around how we might relate to intelligent machines resonate with debates in animal ethics. Kaku notes the tendency to anthropomorphise robots that appear intelligent. He refers to his own Roomba robot, and says of the Japanese robot Asimo I know Asimo is a machine, but I find myself relating to it as if it were a real person (00:32:33). This introduces one of the key issues in the new area of robot ethics: at what point might machines come to be seen as persons rather than mere things, and if this does occur should they be granted robot rights? (see for example Sawyer. 2007. Robot Ethics. Science Magazine, Vol. 318, pp. 1037). Extending this further, Visions of the Future considers what relationship we humans might have with machines whose intelligence greatly exceeded our own. This discussion is predicated on the possibility that intelligent machines might outgrow human control (00:40:15), and examines whether this would be based on harmony or conflict. Here the focus is not on how we will treat the machines of the future, but on how they might treat us.

However, as the final sections of this episode of Visions of the Future highlight, the distinction and opposition of the categories human and machine implied above may have limited relevance in the future. Alongside the drive to create intelligent machines, Kaku notes growing interest in the mechanical enhancement of human intelligence: as machines become more like humans, humans may become more like machines (00:43:36). Further, we are asked precisely how many of our natural body parts could we replace with artificial ones before we begin to loose our sense of being human? (00:55:27).

These concerns echo several of the dominant themes in posthumanism: the philosophical trend and cultural movement that both observes and advocates moving beyond a traditional or classical modern conception of the nature of humanity. In the form of transhumanism, this approach embraces the notion of upgraded human, the cyborg, as the next inevitable evolutionary step. In may ways, Visions of the Future functions to outline, both the steps in the posthumanist argument, and it ultimate endpoint. It highlights how technologies currently used for therapeutic purposes could be used to enhance various human capacities (the examples used here are mood, memory and intelligence), however, that those who choose not to take part in this revolution will find themselves severely disadvantaged. Paul Saffo notes all revolutions have winners and losers, this revolution is no exception the big losers are the people who say they dont want to get involved. They are the ones who are going to discover that being a little bit out of touch will have some unpleasant consequences (00:56:39).

Overall this futuristic first episode of the Visions of the Future series sets a tone of expectation both of the future and the next two episodes. It is engaging and useful, both in its presentation of the science, and the questions it raises regarding the social and ethical implications of the intelligence revolution.

The first of three episodes of Visions of the Future was first broadcast on BBC4 on November 5th 2007 at 21:00 (TRILT identifier: 00741D95).

Treating Hormone Imbalance in Women

Hormones are interrelated, yet each performs unique functions in the body, which is why hormone imbalance in women is such an important issue to address. Truly effective hormone balance should focus on a womans total hormone balance and go beyond just suppressing symptoms of hormone imbalance. Total hormone balance treatment has wide-ranging benefits throughout the body and significantly enhances physical and mental well-being. Metropolitan Oasis Medical Aesthetic Center & Spa our approach to female hormone restoration is to restore hormones to optimal, youthful levels. Important hormone imbalance in women issues commonly monitored and treated in our BHRT programs are thyroid, adrenal, pregnenolone, DHEA, and testosterone, to name a few.

A hormone replacement regimen starts with a comprehensive female hormone profile and exam with a practitioner trained in BHRT. Once a baseline hormone profile is established, periodic blood testing is done to monitor hormone levels. Our philosophy at Metropolitan Oasis Medical Aesthetic Center & Spa our approach is to restore hormones to optimal levels using the lowest dose possible to relieve symptoms and maintain steady, consistent levels throughout the day. Therefore, bioidentical hormones are administered at a precise time in a specific form that will support the bodys natural metabolic pathways. We use Bio-identical hormones which have the same molecular structure as the hormones produced naturally in the body. The body does not distinguish between supplemental bio-identical hormones and the hormones produced by the body. As a result, bio-identical hormones are properly utilized and can be naturally metabolized and excreted which means fewer side effects. At Metro Oasis we believe hormone optimization, done correctly, virtually eliminate harmful hormone replacement therapy side effects and restores health.

Estrogen Replacement Therapy in Women Symptoms of hormone imbalance in women begin to appear typically in their mid- 30s when they enter perimenopause and continuing through menopause. Symptoms are often overlooked as they might appear minor in the beginning. In perimenopause, the production of progesterone declines more rapidly than estrogen. The drop in progesterone, the balancing hormone to estrogen, leaves estrogen in excess and is often associated with symptoms of:

Due to Progesterone levels dropping much sooner in life than estrogen, Progesterone replacement is usually needed long before estrogen therapy. Without progesterone to balance out estrogen, by the time a woman enters menopause, she may have already experienced years of hormonal imbalance. Studies have shown that estrogen dominance can lead to an increased risk of diseases such as cancer, osteoporosis, and fibrocystic breast disease and other health problems (Kubista 1990; Lee 1996). During menopause and post menopause, estrogen levels also decline. Low levels of estrogen impact a woman in many ways physically and mentally. Some of the most common complaints associated with estrogen deficiency.

Include:

Studies have shown, the decline of estrogen levels increases the risk of diseases such as heart disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimers and dementia. Safe, effective estrogen replacement should always include progesterone to complement and balance the impact of estrogen. Progesterone plays a major role in relieving menopausal symptoms as well. They both work together to achieve balance in the female body. The great news is that hormone imbalance in women can be corrected safely through the use of bio-identical hormones. Women can finally be relieved of the symptoms that trouble them and effectively protect themselves from diseases associated with hormone imbalance. With customized and supervised treatment, you can feel and look your best again. You Dont Need to Suffer Any Longer Decreased sex drive, loss of firmness in the skin, and increased symptoms of depression can all indicate a hormonal imbalance. Those are in addition to the traditional symptoms of estrogen imbalance like hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, and insomnia. Addressing these issues with bioidentical hormone replacement can work for women who are peri-menopausal, menopausal, or suffer from another form of hormonal imbalance. The Types of Hormone Imbalance in Women We Treat and offers hormone replacement therapy for the following hormone imbalance in women:

Bio-identical Estrogen Too much estrogen without enough progesterone is called estrogen dominance and can cause headaches, bloating, weight gain, breast tenderness and may be linked with breast and uterine cancer. Other estrogen imbalances, as caused by post-menopause, can produce decreased sexual function and libido, as well as osteoporosis, hot flashes, weight gain and behavior changes ranging from depression to irritability to mood swings.

Bio-identical ProgesteroneProgesterone is a hormone involved in the female menstrual cycle and pregnancy, and therefore affects both pre- and post-menopausal women. Progesterone also plays a role in skin elasticity and bone strength and is important to the regulation of ovulation and menstruation. Low levels in younger women are associated with infertility and menstrual irregularities. Post-menopausal women with low progesterone levels will experience severe hot flashes, arthritis, mood swings and depression. Bio-identical TestosteroneTestosterone is a steroid hormone found in both males and females which declines naturally with age in both sexes. Testosterone contributes to the growth of muscle mass, strength, and bone density, as well as playing a major role in the development of reproductive tissues. In women, deficiency of testosterone is characterized by absence of menstruation, decreased libido, hair loss and hot flashes. Bio-identical Human Growth Hormone (HGH)HGH is a hormone that stimulates growth, cell regeneration and reproduction in humans. Growth hormone deficiency is caused by issues in the pituitary gland, and has different effects at different ages. Low levels of HGH in adults is common, and can manifest as lean body mass, poor bone density, and other psychological symptoms like memory loss and depression. Bio-identical ThyroidThe thyroid hormone controls metabolism and energy and can have dangerous effects when levels are low. Deficiency of the thyroid hormone, also called hypothyroidism, can cause extreme weight gain, hair loss, constipation, fatigue, and trouble with memory. Low thyroid issues can also cause slowed speech, carpal tunnel syndrome, and goiters. Bio-identical Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA)DHEA is a hormone created by the adrenal glands and is a precursor to all major sex hormones. It is common for DHEA production to significantly drop off as we age, and women typically have lower levels of DHEA than men. Symptoms of decreased levels of DHEA are extreme fatigue, low libido, decreased muscle mass, depression and aching joints.

Bio-identical PregnenolonePregnenolone is a hormone tasked with controlling the sex and adrenal hormones of the body. Not only does pregnenolone control other hormones, it also improves the transmission of communication between brain cells. Those with low pregnenolone suffer from low energy, low to extreme moodiness, and short term memory failure. Depression and cluster headaches are also signs of low pregnenolone. How Long Does Menopause Last And When Does It End? If youve experienced some of the symptoms of menopause youre probably wondering how long does menopause last? When will it start and when will it end? Menopause is a natural life transition and can be broken down into 3 stages.

Stage 1: Perimenopause This starts anywhere between age 35 and 55. It typically lasts 3-5 years though in some cases it may last up to 10 years. Perimenopause starts when your menstrual cycle becomes erratic. Symptoms include:

Hot flushes

Elevated heart rate

Mood swings

Insomnia

Night sweats

Urinary incontinence

Stage 2: Menopause Menopause starts 12 months after your last menstrual cycle. The perimenopausal symptoms are the same, though they may decrease or increase in severity. Menopause lasts anywhere between 12 and 36 months.

Stage 3: Postmenopause Technically, postmenopause is the period when your Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) levels show a sharp increase due to the shutting down of the ovaries. This can be confirmed by a blood test. Postmenopause restores a new balance to your endocrine system, thus stopping most or all of the menopause symptoms.

Libertarian Transhumanism and the Over-man

Ive always been a fan of H+ (though I often disregard a lot of the humanist ethics proposed by some of its adherents). Ultimately, its more of an interest than a worldview for me but to see a world where humanity sheds the meat of its limitations or sheds it all together would be interesting if nothing else. An ushering in of a generation overmen (either through gene/body mods or other enhancements though it is sort of a chicken or the egg scenario as to which event will serve as the catalyst to the other) who radically reject the institutionalized morality in both politics and science would obviously be the best way to go about this. I also think that a fully decentralized and more egalitarian market economy (lending itself to agorism which we are seeing more of today in everything from crypto-currency to start up societies https://ieet.org/index.php/IEET2/more/martin20160225) will help reach this goal faster. The following are some older writings of mine detailing the potential implications of transhumanism on culture;

The Hegelian Dialectical Process Applied to Evolutionary BiologyHegels philosophy however, left little creativity to humans, making them instruments of a cosmic agency (Time-Spirit or Zeitgeist) which worked out is experiments leading towards the emergence of Philosophic Man (http://www.uprs.edu/upr-blog/transhumanism-posthumanism-superhumanism/#sthash.uUyw5obK.dpuf -2016)

The progression of history and by extension culture is largely founded on conflicts ensuing between opposing ideological stances (left vs right, centralization vs decentralization). Whether through Marxs Dialectical Materialism or opposition to establishment via social movements (ranging from reformist measures such as the post-Civil Rights social justice causes of neo-liberalism to a Maoist style insurrectionary movement). Hegel (first) recognized this, transferring it into what he is best known for, the Dialectical Process (the formation of a thesis, antithesis and a synthesis of the two opposing forces). Hegel predicted that we would one day reach the end of history as this cycle was repeated ad infinitum. A new world in which the mind of God is glimpsed by all would be ours along with a superior culture reflecting the new paradigm shift.

Nietzsche (who was as most German philosophers of his age were, influenced by Hegel) also had much to say about culture, especially in regard to the forceful removing its limitations (i.e slave morality). His work posits that a culture which fosters the cultivation of genius and celebrates the greatness of the individual, is achieved through the exertion of our will on a world devoid of inherent meaning. The end result of the violent rejection of the status quo in pursuit of art and war and vigor, is the over-man. A being no longer shackled by the constraints of human morality and institutions.

Both the over-man and the end of history could be brought about much more rapidly through the development of the post-human. This can (in many cases justifiably) be a slippery slope and in my opinion will first require the radical decentralization of the means of production, the liberation of the workforce and the fostering of a culture of greater minds, ends which can all be met through various means of secession to weaken the global hegemony.
