WW3 THREAT: North Korea reveals plot to launch four missiles at US-owned Guam in DAYS – Express.co.uk

The hermit state announced will launch the strike in mid-August, with military officials preparing the final details of the attack before seeking approval from despot Kim Jong-un.

President Donald Trump pledged yesterday to respond to North Korea's threats with fire and fury the likes of which the world has never seen - a move which was immediately undermined by North Koreas declaration of war.

But Kim Jong-uns state media said the comments were a load of nonsense and claimed only absolute force can work on him, ratcheting up tensions and leading to fears the world may be witnessing the early days of World War 3.

A state media spokesperson said: "The Hwasong-12 rockets to be launched by the KPA (Korean People's Army) will cross the sky above Shimane, Hiroshima and Koichi Prefectures of Japan," the report said, citing General Kim Rak Gyom, commander of the Strategic Force of the KPA.

Two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers fly from Guam with an escort of a pair of Japan Self-Defense Forces F-2 fighter jets near Kyushu

"They will fly 3,356.7 km (2,085.8 miles) for 1,065 seconds and hit the waters 30 to 40 km away from Guam."

The Hwasong-12 is an intermediate-range ballistic missile, first unveiled by the secretive state earlier this year in a military parade.

America and Japan have both flexed their military muscles in the wake of the threat.

The US sent two B-1B bombers to the peninsula in a show of strength, with Air Force personnel announcing they are ready to fight tonight.

The Pacific Air Forces tweeted: South Dakota airmen arrive on Guam conduct #bilateral missions with Japan & ROK [South Korea] US ready to #fighttonight.

A US Air Force pilot said: How we train is how we fight and the more we interface with our allies, the better prepared we are to fight tonight.

The B-1 is a long-range bomber that is well-suited for the maritime domain and can meet the unique challenges of the Pacific.

And Japan announced it was capable of shooting down any missile sent towards Guam as it passed over their country.
