Six developers have bid for eight different offshore wind farms in the latest Taiwan auction round, the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs announced.

The bids in the auction, known as 3.2, have come from developers in Taiwan, Europe, and the Americas, according to the ministry.

In the past, Taiwan has continued to promote offshore wind power construction despite external environmental challenges such as the epidemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.

The current installed wind power capacity has reached 2.33GW, making it one of the few countries in the world with offshore wind power exceeding 2GW.
