Blessing Ibunge in Port Harcourt

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Rivers State Command has paraded 19 suspects arrested over their alleged connection to oil theft and illegal dealings in petroleum products in the state.

Parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Port Harcourt, yesterday, the State Commandant, Michael Ogar decried the defiant attitude of oil thieves and those engaging in illegal bunkering activities.

He noted that in spite of the continuous sensitisation and relentless war against economic sabotage in the country, those milking from the nations wealth through illegal oil dealings have blatantly refused to change their ways.

According to Ogar, the Marine and Land Patrol team of the command arrested the 19 suspects at different locations in the state.

Four suspects named: Peter Udo (20), Benjamin Godpower (16), Godgift Nicholas (19) and Goodness Sunday (19) were arrested with One Big wooden boat and a 40 HP outboard engine along Bakana River close to Bakana Community in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.

In addition, three suspects named: Jacob Fewu (23), George George (20) and Stanley Bruce (20) were arrested with One wooden boat laden with 10,000 litres of illegaly refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), a 40 HP Outboard Engine used for propelling the boat.

The Marine team in an all-night tactical operations arrested two additional suspects named: Ade Monday (27) and Abiola Gift (29) with One wooden boat, 25 drums (6,250 litres) of illegal refined AGO and One 15 HP outboard engine, he said.

The NSCDC boss also disclosed that the anti-vandal Unit uncovered a building used as dump site for storing locally refined AGO along Cornerstone junction in Ogbogoro, Obio Akpo Local Government Area.

We discovered an underground Tanker containing unquantified litres of locally refined AGO, a Plastic Tank containing about 3,500 litres of AGO and a Pumping Machine. The entire compound is now under seal and manned by our personnel while the Command would continue to chase the culprits till they are arrested and prosecuted accordingly, he added.

In another development, five suspects were arrested at Oyakama community in Ahoada west LGA and Njemanze street in Port Harcourt.

The suspects included: Onorode Daniel (34), Samuel Odirode (32), Charles Okeke (43), Uche (32) and Chinedu Iroanya (36).

Ogar said the suspects were in conveyance of an ash colour Toyota Sequoia SUV with number plate: LAGOS Epe 539 AT laden with about 1,000 litres of AGO, a Golden colour Toyota Camry Car with about 1,500 litres of illegaly refined AGO, an Ash Colour Toyota Camry Car with registration number RIVERS BER 951 MU, a green colour Toyota Camry Car with number plate: RIVERS AH 824 AHD laden with illegaly refined AGO concealed in cellophane and packed in sack bags which totalled 5,000 litres.

Another building close to Akpos Jetty in Abuloma community in Port Harcourt was also uncovered while the Suspects took to their heels upon sighting the NSCDC operatives; a short green and white colour DAF CF 250 Truck with number plate LAGOS EKY 206 XS laden with illegaly refined AGO and Pumping Machine were recovered as exhibits.

The land Patrol team also arrested five suspects along Agwu/ Elechi street Mile 1 Diobu, Port Harcourt. They are: Musa Mohammed (36), Elisha Iyalla (18), Iyeneobong Emmanuel (25), Felix Ukele (45) and Mba Awajimimam (42).

Nigel Slaters jam, pickle and relish recipes – The Guardian

Posted: at 8:35 am

At this time of year, I put away damsons, gooseberries and blackcurrants in the freezer. A squirrel-store of fruits that are distinctly seasonal and are pretty much impossible to find in the freezer aisles. In the depths of winter, I rather enjoy an out-of-season gooseberry crumble or a hot damson compote with my breakfast porridge. But my freezer is small and soon filled.

When apricots have finally come down in price, I make jars of glowing jam; when peaches are at their best or the supply of courgettes and beetroot seems never-ending, I will make jam or chutney. If I find a cheap supply of those intensely flavoured tiny cucumbers that are so difficult to track down, they will end up in a homemade pickle with fennel seeds and dill to eat with cheese. A row of glistening jars to last me through the winter.

This summer I grew lavender and scented geraniums like never before (I can usually kill a lavender bush at 20 paces), so their flowers and leaves have ended up stored in jars of sugar to make a scented sprinkle for sponges or shortbread. Rose petals too.

I am not the sort of cook to make hundreds of pots of chutney or pickles, yet there is something rather delightful about opening a kitchen cupboard to find recycled jam jars full of your own handiwork. Recipes you have personalised to your own taste. A homemade pickle can be as sweet or sour as you like; jam can be more softly set than commercial recipes and the chilli heat of a relish can be tweaked to work for you.

There is, to a certain extent, a bit of good housekeeping going on here. When something is in such generous supply that it comes down in price I will make the most of it, picking up a few extra courgettes to make into a pickle or a second and third bag of plums with which to make jam. That said, I make all preserves as a treat rather than a way to rid myself of a cartload of fruit or vegetables. A jar or two of peach chutney or bread and butter pickles is like finding treasure in the cupboard, but I dont want to be eating runner bean relish or marrow jam for the next six months.

You should use sterilised storage jars for all preserves and pickles. Heat the oven to 160C fan/gas mark 4. Remove the rubber seals from your storage jars, pour boiling water into the jars, carefully emptying them and leaving them to dry upside down on a baking sheet or roasting tin. Put the tray into the oven and bake for 15 minutes, then fill and seal as required.

This is one of the few preserves I make every year. My version is softer than most you can buy, rather like the jams you find in the Middle East. Letting the stoned fruit rest overnight under a blanket of sugar is a trick worth following. The sugar softens the fruit, leading to a shorter cooking time and the flavour seems more intense. Use a sugar thermometer from the start. If you dont have one, then chill a couple of saucers in the fridge before you start and follow the instructions here. This is luscious soft-set jam, but if you want something firmer use preserving sugar with added pectin. Make sure your roses are from the garden and unsprayed.

Makes 3 x 350ml storage jarsapricots 1kg, firm, almost ripegranulated sugar 750grose petals 40lemon 1, large

Wipe the apricots, remove any stems, then slice in half and remove their stones. Put the fruit in a large mixing bowl, then sprinkle the granulated sugar over them. Cut the lemon in half, squeeze the juice over the fruit, then toss everything together with a large spoon, so the sugar is wet with juice. Cover the bowl and set aside for three or four hours, or even overnight, in a cool place.

Put a large, heavy-based stainless-steel or enamel saucepan over a low to moderate heat. Add the fruit and sugar and bring to the boil. Lower the heat and leave to bubble gently for about 20 minutes. The jam is ready when it reaches 105C on a sugar thermometer. As soon as the temperature is reached, stir in the rose petals, ladle into sterilised jars and seal tightly.

To test without a thermometer, put a couple of saucers in the fridge. As the fruit becomes tender, put 1 teaspoon of jam on one of the cold saucers. Put it back in the fridge for 2 minutes and, if a skin has formed, the jam is ready.

I was tempted by the deliciously old-fashioned name alone, but I felt I had to have a go at making this sweet-sour pickle after I bought an artisan-made version whose price was more than I wanted to pay. Small cucumbers can be bought from Turkish and Middle Eastern grocery shops.

Makes 1 x 750ml storage jar and 1 smaller oneonions 250g, mediumsmall, crisp cucumbers 500gsalt 1 tbspsoft brown sugar 250gmalt vinegar 100mlcider vinegar 300mlground turmeric 1 tspyellow mustard seeds 1 tbspblack peppercorns 1 tspfennel seeds 2 tspdried chilli flakes tspfennel stalks and flowers a handful (optional)

Peel the onions, slice them into thin rounds, then put them in a stainless steel or china bowl. Slice the cucumbers into rounds about 1cm thick, add them to the onions and sprinkle everything with the salt. Cover and leave for a good couple of hours, overnight it you have time.

Put the soft brown sugar, vinegars, ground turmeric yellow mustard seeds, peppercorns, fennel seeds, chili flakes and fennel stalks and flowers if you are using them into a large saucepan and bring to the boil.

Rinse the cucumber and onions in a colander under the cold tap to remove the salt. Pour the boiling pickling liquor over the vegetables in a bowl, then spoon into jars and seal.

It is something of a blurred line between relish and chutney and Im not sure it makes much difference what you call them, but a general rule of thumb is that a chutney contains some sort of fruit (including dried vine fruits) and a relish is more vegetable based, somewhat finer in texture and is cooked for a shorter time.

This recipe is for those keen to rid themselves of some of their beetroot harvest. It has the mild, hot crunch of mustard seeds and is one that I bring out with a vegetable curry or spoon on to grilled lamb flatbread.

Makes a large jar, about 750mlraw beetroot 325gcarrots 350gginger 50gred chilli 1, medium hotyellow mustard seeds 1 tsplemon 1garlic 6 clovessalt 1 tspblack peppercorns 8cider vinegar 200mlsoft brown sugar 175g

Peel and coarsely grate the beetroot, then put it in a medium sized stainless-steel or enamelled pan. Peel and coarsely grate the carrots, then add to the beetroot.

Peel the ginger, slice it thinly (about the thickness of a pound coin), then cut each slice into matchsticks. Add them to the beetroot and carrot, then thinly slice and add the chilli. (You can remove the seeds or not, as you wish leave them in for a spicier relish.)

Mix in the mustard seeds, the zest of the lemon, finely grated, and the peeled, whole garlic cloves. Add a teaspoon of salt and the whole peppercorns. Halve and squeeze the lemon and add the juice to the pan together with the vinegar and sugar.

Bring to the boil over a moderate heat, stirring gently until the sugar has dissolved and all is glossy then keep it bubbling until the liquid has almost disappeared. Pack into jars and seal. This is best kept in the fridge.

A good chutney with a nice balance of vinegar-sharp fruit and deep sweetness that makes it a good one for cheeses such as caerphilly or properly made farmhouse cheddars. It is quite perfect for the firmer blues too.

Makes 1 x 750ml storage jarpeaches 1kgonions 350g golden raisins 125glight muscovado sugar 250g crushed dried chillies tspyellow mustard seeds 2 tspcider vinegar 150ml malt vinegar 150ml cinnamon stick 1, broken in two

Quarter the peaches and discard the stones. If the fruit is large, cut each piece once more. Peel and roughly chop the onions.

Put the fruit and the onions into a large heavy bottomed steel or enamelled pan. Add the raisins, sugar, chillies, mustard seeds, vinegar and cinnamon stick. Bring the mixture to the boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 45 minutes. You want a chutney that is both sour and sweet to the taste, so tweak it to your taste, but it is worth remembering that the flavour will mellow as it keeps.

Pour into hot and sterilised jars and seal tightly.

These sugars are such a simple but effective way to use the many varieties of scented geranium (pelargonium) leaves or lavender buds. Make sure your leaves are dry and from a variety that smells only of rose or lemon when rubbed. (If the leaves dont remind you of Turkish delight, then dont use them.) The oils present in the leaves will gently scent your sugar over the following few weeks, leaving you with fragrant crystals to scatter over shortbread or almond cookies as they leave the oven, or over a sponge cake.

Makes a medium-sized jargranulated or caster sugar 300gscented geranium leaves 12, small, or lavender buds 2 tbsp

Make sure there are no lumps in the sugar and that your storage jars and leaves or flowers are completely dry. Layer the sugar and leaves in a storage jar, seal and keep in a dry, dark place for several days before opening and using.

If you are making lavender sugar, distribute the lavender buds through the sugar and seal. Sieve out the flowers before using. (If you use whole sprigs of lavender it is easier to remove than the picked flowers.)

Video of seal and dog playing fetch together goes viral – New York Post

Posted: September 11, 2022 at 1:09 pm

A surf photographer captured an uncommon scene at a Santa Cruz beach last weekend: his dog fetching a ball with a seal.

Posted by @christoq on Twitter, the dog and seal are seen bouncing through the ocean, chasing after a ball thrown by the dogs owner. As of Tuesday, the video had over 1.6 million views.

The video shows the seal approaching shore as the owner tosses the ball. The seal leaps into the air attempting to beat the dog to the ball, but the dog wins and brings it back to the owner.

Many responded that the video made their day.

Land puppy meet sea puppy, replied @sounddude18. Another user pointed out that dogs and seals are actually related as both are part of the suborder Caniformia within the Carnivora order.

Others responded that people should be cautious, as seals can be aggressive.

Sorry to be a killjoy but seals are not to be trifled with, said @teachallamerica. I would never have let my dog near one.

China Inc.s earnings are on the decline due to high commodity prices and Covid-19 costs – News Track English

Posted: at 1:09 pm

BEIJING: A slowdown in earnings growth for publicly traded Chinese companies is likely to last for the rest of the year as higher commodity prices reduce margins and tighter controls on consumer spending to contain the Covid-19 outbreak, according to analysts. reduce the.

Profits of the 300 largest companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges are expected to drop 17% this quarter from a year ago, according to data from Bloomberg, the worst quarterly performance in at least two years. According to the data, this will be worse than the 1.2% drop in the last three months and 11% growth from January to March.

According to Sealand Securities, the trend reflects a more general decline experienced by the 4,000 or more companies listed on mainland markets. The Guangxi province-based brokerage reported that their earnings grew 1.9% overall in the second quarter, compared to a 3.5% increase in the previous three months.

With China's repeated snap lockdowns with complex business plans and demand forecasts, analysts predicted that the expected earnings shock this quarter could last through the end of the year.

According to Lin Limei, an analyst at Shanghai-based Shenwan Hongyuan Group, the fourth quarter or the first quarter of next year could mark the end of this decline in earnings.

But due to the pandemic, high raw material prices and uncertainty over global demand, it is difficult to predict the bottom line of earnings right now.

The Bloomberg Commodity Index is up 17% this year and includes a wide range of raw materials, including corn, soybeans, natural gas and oil.

According to Shenwan, average gross profit margin declined from 20.5 percent at the end of 2018 to 17.6 percent in the second quarter. Given that there are still several economic headwinds, there is still room for downside, according to the brokerage.

Beijing's strict zero-Covid policy is still in place, and the housing market crisis is still unresolved. The CSI 300 index is down almost 10% since its peak in July, bringing it back to a nearly three-month low.

Recent lockdowns have soured the outlook for the economy in Chengdu, capital of southwest Sichuan province, and Guiyang, capital of southern Guizhou province, both home to plants for Geely Automobiles and contemporary Amperex Technology.

According to reports this month, China's manufacturing shrank in August.

According to Sealand Securities, businesses operating in the middle and downstream industries reported weak earnings in the most recent quarter. On the other hand, even though commodity prices declined from all-time highs, raw material producers prospered from limited supply and firm demand.

Everbright Securities advises investors to focus on businesses with consistent or predictable income streams, such as Baijie Distilleries and pharmaceutical companies, in these uncertain times.

Additionally, it benefits businesses that must invest heavily to support growth, such as manufacturers of solar and wind power equipment.

UBS Group has a similar opinion.

According to Meng Lei, a Shanghai-based strategist at the Swiss Investment Bank, the stock market could be strong for some time. There is a dearth of new capital inflows into the A-share market, he said. Given the high degree of uncertainty, we recommend allocation to industries with strong pricing power, high earnings visibility and favorable policy development.

Sarasota nears approval of seal with narrowed-down selections – Your Observer

Posted: at 1:09 pm

So were back to talk about the mullet and Michelangelo.

Thats how Anand Pallegar, founder of Sarasota registered benefit corporation Dream Large, opened the discussion with Sarasota city commissioners about the redesign progress of the city of Sarasotas official seal and logo.

Mullet refers to the seal, a simple, hand-drawn circular design dominated by what may be a manatee, but could arguably be a whale, a shark and, sure, even a mullet. The dominant feature of the citys logo, which is separate from the seal, is a silhouette of Michelangelos sculpture of David, a copy of which stands as the centerpiece of the Ringling Museum of Art.

At their Aug. 1 meeting, Pallegar presented to commissioners five city seal design finalists plus a version produced by Dream Large, the latter a hybrid ofcommon elements among the five. Commissioners offered suggestions and asked Anand to return with refinements.

Those changes, which were made by the submitters, primarily focused on simplifications in color and detail to enhance feasibility of use of the seal in a variety of mediums. Other tweaks included incorporating native palms and font legibility, all while still maintaining the integrity of the original designs.

The current city seal (left) and logo.

These individuals really have put in the time and effort and really for no guarantee of anything other than they want to participate, Pallegarsaid. This is their civic contribution toward furthering our city.

The Dream Large community campaign generated 148 submissions with 172 designs, judged by a diverse panel of varying backgrounds to rate the designs on aesthetics, themes, legibility and functionality for use on business cards, letterheads and badging where a seal is deemed appropriate. Pallegar identified the finalist designers as Cynthia Clasgens, Rachel Ewing, Bill Greaves, Sara Scire and Brooks Tracey.

Commissioners narrowed the choices down to two:

Another favorite among commissioners, particularly Mayor Erik Arroyo and Commissioner Liz Alpert, was a whimsical image of the Ringling Bridge beneath an orange sunset and two-tone blue water by Brooks Tracey.

The colors are so vibrant, Alpert said. They just make you happy looking at it.

That one didnt make the final cut, though, as applicationsof a city seal are often official and serious in nature. In many ways, it serves as the city's brand.

Both finalist seals include the verbiage May Sarasota Prosper at the bottom, as does the citys century-old seal. Among the alterations commissioners requested was a better sense of scale between the manatee and the hibiscus in Ewings submission and simplification of colors in the waves of the Dream Large hybrid design.

With the new seal design nearing conclusion, Pallegarand Dream Large will turn their attention toward the citys logo, a silhouette of the David statue set against stylized City of Sarasota lettering. Commissioners guidance on that project

Do we modernize a version of David, come back with another version of David or are you open something else? Pallegar asked.

All of the above, as it turns out, is the guidance.

I think people, and I think this body would want to see all three of these, Commissioner Hagen Brody said. I don't know how you do a modern David. I really don't know what that means. But I would be open to something else. You guys are the creative ones that we hired to do this, and I think that the public outreach is really important and it brings creative elements that would work just like we experienced with the seal.

Commissioner Jen Ahearn-Koch, who reminded she was not in favor of the project to redesign the seal and logo, suggested the community feedback already gleaned may be a good starting point. Many people, after all, were unaware of the difference between the seal and the logo anyway.

I would go back to that and use some of that as guidance, she said. There were some positive comments. There were some negative comments. There were some comical comments. There were some worrisome comments. My recommendation would be to parse through that. There are some some good suggestions in there and some valuable feedback.

No date was set for Pallegar to return to the commission with seal refinements or logo designs.

How to Open Windows That Were Painted Shut – Lifehacker

Posted: at 1:09 pm

Photo: Virunja (Shutterstock)

When a window has been closed for yearsor even over a long winterits normal for it to stick a bit when you try to open it again. But sometimes it takes more than some extra muscle to let the fresh air inespecially in situations where a window has been painted shut.

In most cases, windows arent painted shut intentionally: It tends to be the result of a lazy or careless painting job. Fortunately, theres a straightforward way to break the paint seal and open the window again. Heres what to know.

Before going any further, check (or double check) that the window isnt opening because its locked, or nailed shut. Also, if your home was built before 1978, theres a good chance that the paint on the window (and the rest of the place) contains lead, so take all necessary precautions. Regardless of the age of the house or building, you should be wearing gloves and eye protection for this project.

Then, using a putty knife (or a dedicated window opener tool, which is a paper-thin, serrated, stainless steel blade), carefully cut through the paint in the joint between the sash (the moving frame that holds the glass pane in place) and the stops (the inside edges of the upper and lower sash channel). Keep the blade flat as you slide it around the perimeter.

You may need to cut along both sides of each sash multiple times in order to get to the point where around 1/2" of your blade is able to get through and slide along the perimeter of the sash freely. At that stage, you should be able to open the window.

G/O Media may get a commission

In some cases, windows are painted shut on both the outside and the inside, so if the window doesnt open after freeing one side, repeat the process on the opposite side, if possible.

Once you get the window to the point where it opens and closes easily, sprinkle some talcum powder on the window channels and sashes to keep them lubricated.

Woods used to visit the SEALs every now and then training with them the way they did. The golfer loved to jump out of planes and shoot guns with the trainees. And likewise, the SEALs loved playing and learning golf from the legend himself.

SEAL Ben Marshall once made Tiger Woods go through extensive training in clearing rooms and rescuing hostages. He was impressed with Woodss performance and said,He went all out,. There was a time Marshall brought his TaylorMade bag to Woods and asked him to sign it for him. Woods was as famous and successful in his field as he has ever been. But to his surprise, the golfer denied signing a competing brand.

But Marshall was adamant to get his signature, and thus challenged him for a driving contest. According to the rules, the one who drove the ball farther would win, and if Woods lost, he would have to sign the bag. Woods grinned and agreed to the challenge. Marshall went first and hit a great drive of around 260 or 270 yards. No one expected such a distance from the SEAL. But Woods, being the talented golfer he is, swung the club like a baseball bat and hit a ball far ahead of Marshalls drive, winning the challenge. The golfer laughed about the incident, and so did Marshall.

According to the SEALs, Woods was not as good and as determined as the rest of them when it came to training. A SEAL stated that Woods was always up for the adventurous parts of the training, including skydiving and shooting guns. However, his determination was not the same when it came to staying submerged in cold water for hours.

Woods never wanted to join the Navy. But after he lost his father, the golfer found an escape from his grief while doing something his old man loved. And that is mainly why he used to go to the training camps.

‘Very much worth remembering:’ Foundation marks anniversary of 9/11 and Benghazi attack – Daily Inter Lake

Posted: at 1:09 pm

The 9/11 Honor and Serve Foundation is once again hosting its annual Patriot Day 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Quarter Circle Road today, remembering the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 and Sept. 11, 2012.

Since 2014, the group has conducted the ceremony at the only known memorial to the four who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012: U.S. Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and Information Officer, Sean Smith. Last year marked the only time the ceremony was held elsewhere, as the group hosted a large crowd for the 20th anniversary of attacks in 2001.

Last year was crazy. Of course, it was the twentieth anniversary of 9/11, 2021, which garnered more attention, said Bill Thomas, foundation founder and president. There was a greater loss of life that day and it was more complex than what happened in Benghazi. We also know the Benghazi 9/11 has had a much smaller impact on us as a country, but we still see it as very much worth remembering.

While this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Benghazi attack, the foundation does not expect as large a crowd as last year.

This years event gets underway at 4 p.m. and features an honor guard, the national anthem, a ceremonial folding of the flag, the playing of Taps and the arrival of the U.S. flag and the flags of the three states (Virginia, New York and Pennsylvania) where the 2001 attacks occured by horseback.

The keynote speaker for this years event will be Jimmy Graham, a former U.S. Navy SEAL and CIA security contractor, who was the interim Benghazi Annex CIA security leader and transitioned command of the team just 3 weeks before the 2012 attack.

Refreshments will be available at a social gathering after the ceremony, followed by a showing of the movie 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

Weve been joking to people that if you have never seen an outdoor movie in the middle of an elk preserve, this is your chance, Thomas said.

The event is free to the public, but those wishing to stay for the movie are asked to RSVP on the foundations website at http://www.9-11honorandserve.com/2022-event/.

THE BENGHAZI memorial and the annual remembrance event trace their roots back to 2014, when Thomas read a Bigfork Eagle news article about Charles Woods, father of slain U.S. Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, and his move to Bigfork, Montana.

Thomas contacted his good friend and Montana ranch owner, Doug Averill, and the pair began planning what would become the Benghazi memorial, which showcases a majestic bronze eagle with a six-foot wingspan mounted on its top and a naturally flat stone front that displays a bronze plaque featuring the names of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Unfortunately, Charles Woods moved away from Bigfork before the memorial was completed, but Thomas and Averill decided to forge ahead.

It seemed like moving forward with the project was the right thing to do, so we went ahead and dedicated the monument in 2014, Thomas said.

In Nov. 2014, Mark Geist, John Tiegen and Kris Paronto, about whom the book 13 Hours was written, came to visit the monument and remember their fallen comrades. The three men were members of the special operations force team who fought and survived the Benghazi attack.

After the group found there was no other memorial in the United States honoring all four victims of the Benghazi attack, the decision was made to hold the 9/11 remembrance ceremony each year moving forward.

Thomas and the Honor and Serve Foundation are proud to once again host the ceremony this afternoon.

It will be a visually beautiful and patriotic ceremony and everyone is invited. We are not worried about ideology, we are focused on remembrance, he said. There really is nowhere else for people in the Flathead Valley to go to celebrate Patriot Day. There is nowhere else here where people can go and remember the events of 9/11. We are glad to be able to provide a venue for that.
