Seven workers at The Parisian test positive for Covid – Macau Business

Seven workers employed in The Parisian which is currently a designated medical observation hotel have tested positive for Covid-19, health authorities announced today (Thursday).The seven employees under closed-loop management were tested positive during July 10 to July 14, with five of them to be security guardsand two of them involvedin food distribution and other supporting tasks.Some other 30 staff were identified as a high-risk group and have been put under medical observation.Novel CoronavirusResponse and CoordinationCentre Coordinator, Dr.LeongIek Hou, indicated that as some workers in the medical observation hotel are tested positive, the health bureau has decided to extend the number of quarantine days for some people under medical observation.Some 144 people who have already completed the quarantine are required to receive another 5 days of medical observation, while some 29 people who have not completed the isolation are required to have their observation period extended.

After a The Venetian hotel employee was found to have tested positive the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) requested for all hotel workers within the Sands China group to require employees to undergo a daily nucleic acid test for Covid-19.

Staff working in the groups hotels was also asked to avoid entering the community unless necessary and to implement stricter pandemic prevention measures.
