Gambling is a dangerous game, but one sports fan came away a winner on Thursday night.

The nerve it takes to bet on the New York Yankees right nowsheesh. Despitehaving +500 oddsthrough six games to win the World Series per WynnBet, theyve come crashing down to Earth. Yet, thats exactly what one gambler did to start what turned into a six-team parlay.

The Boston Red Sox, for one, held a no-hitter through the first five innings against the Seattle Mariners, with Nick Pivetta eventually giving up his first hit and more. From there, the San Diego Padres were able to win their second game of the season against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium for that matter.

A complete lack of scoring in either sport, plus a lot of money involved, makes for a deadly cocktail for any gambler. Yet, this parlay was exclusively MLB and NHL-related.

Taking the Lightning and Penguins via the spread as in theyd have to win by two-plus goals to cash out is borderline insane. Especially with a $25,000 parlay on the line, this person must be a seasoned professional.
