LEDYARD, CONNECTICUT Can't wait for holiday sparkle with festive food and drink? A restaurant at Foxwoods Resort Casino in nearby Connecticut, has you covered.

Christmas at Cedars Steak & Oysters might be serving aturkey feast for lunch Thursday, but their Santa-themed dinner and cocktails are on the menu for dinner.In fact,the special menu is already being offered each Thursday through Sunday through December.

Cedars hosted a media dinnerlast week to unveil a restaurant decorated bymore than 5,000 ornaments. Red and green ones have transformed the bar area into a festive wash of color, while the dining room is a vision in glittering gold.

The scene will put even a Grinch into the mood, especially if you begin with the cocktail bearing that name. A drink that starts with green Midori liqueur might soundsweet but it'sbalanced with rum and tart lemon-line flavors. Also on the cocktail menu is the Sugar Cookie with RumChata, vanilla vodka, white chocolate liqueur and a splash of cream, and a Holiday Mimosa.

Desserts, too, are perfectly themed with a Yule Log and Candy Cane Chocolate Mousse.

For savory dishes, start with a holiday salad or a charcuterie board filled with meats and cheeses.

Rudolph's Ribs,tender braised short ribs sitting atop a creamy polenta with baby Brussels sprouts, is the star here. But the menu also offers something not often seen on menus - individual Beef Wellingtons named Santa's Bundles. Filet mignon are coated with mushroom duxelle and wrapped in puff pastry for a special treat.A traditional prime rib is offered as is a Christmas Duck Breast.

OnDec. 18 and 19 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.,Cedars is hosting Breakfast with Santa.Reservations are suggested at foxwoods.com/breakfastwithsanta/ and onecan also reserve for the Christmas dinners on the site.
