COLUMBUS, Ohio Urban Meyer had a specific moment for every great team he coached, that epiphany when he realized his team had something special. Maybe it was something that happened in practice, the result of a game or an emotional postgame speech, but he always could identify the greatness before the greatness happened.

Ryan Day hasnt had that signature moment yet, but he knows what that feels like. His team is 3-0, and though most national pundits looked at Ohio State with some skepticism heading into the season, you can sense the opinions changing. Analysts who projected Ohio State to lose three games this season now have them in the College Football Playoff, the point spreads are inflated and there isnt a person out there right now who can keep a straight face when picking Michigan to win the Big Ten.

That a-ha moment hasnt come for Day. But he has the feeling.
