Doctor Strange, Multiverse Of Madness: Kenua Reeves Could Be The Part Of The Movie – The Digital Wise

Posted: at 12:50 pm

Who was not waiting to see the like of Keanu Reeves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Because I was totally up to it. Well, this hope might just become a reality sooner than we can expect it to.

All this while, the media have some secret inside sources that have revealed that Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, wants to have actor Keanu Reeves to play the role of Johnny Blaze, also known as, Ghost Rider. The last time this character gave an appearance was back in 2007, and it was through the comedic flair of Nicholas Cage.

It has been said that this debut of Keanu Reeves is going to take place in the Cinematic Universe of Marvel in the movie, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Keanu will be placed alongside actor Benedict Cumberbatch who is the titular character.

Well, Marvel Studios is not the only large company that wants to grab Reeves because DC has been bidding for the actor. DC has been eyeing Keanu to play the role of John Constantine in a new sequel of Constantine. And if he agrees to it, Reeves will have to star in Justice League Dark.

If we turn the coin back to Marvel, the studio has been trying to find out a role for Reeves in one of their films for quite a while now but have yet to reach a particular part that will suit him.

‘Doctor Strange’ Lost Out on Jessica Chastain When She Rejected Joining the MCU in the ‘Coolest Way’ – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

Posted: at 12:50 pm

Marvel missed a big opportunity to pair Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain in Doctor Strange. A screenwriter for the project revealed that Marvel wanted to cast Chastain to play Cumberbatchs romantic interest in the film. But instead of joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chastain rejected the offer in the coolest way possible.

Chastains wish to become a superhero came true when she landed the part of Vuk in Dark Phoenix. The shape-shifting creature was a villain in the movie who manipulated Sophie Turners Jean Grey.

Unfortunately, the film was a major bomb for Fox, making only$250 million in worldwide ticket sales against a $200 million budget. DoctorStrange, on the other hand, had a budget of around $200 million and pulleddown $677 million at the box office.

The film was also released around the same time that Disneybought out Fox, a deal that gave Marvel the rights to X-Men. The studio will likelyreboot the entire franchise, especially given its lackluster reception over theyears.

It is unclear if Chastain will ever reprise her role as Vuk now that X-Men is under the Marvel umbrella. But there was a time when she was offered a spot in the MCU and turned it down.

Screenwriter C. Robert Cargill recently opened up aboutChastains rejection on his podcast titled Junkfood Cinema. According toIndieWire, Cargill revealed that Marvel wanted to cast Chastain asChristine Palmer, but the actress had no interest in joining the MCU unless itwas as a superhero.

Shes like, Hey, look, this project sounds awesome, and I would love to do it. But Im only going to get one shot at being in aMarvelfilm and becoming a Marvel character, and I trained in ballet, and I really want to wear a cape, Cargill explained. It was the coolest rejection ever

Doctor Strange was a big hit for Marvel in 2016. Themovies success opened the door for the upcoming sequel, Doctor Strange inthe Multiverse of Madness.

After Chastains rejection, Rachel McAdams got the part, thoughwe still do not know if she will be reprising the role in the sequel.

The Multiverse of Madness was originally scheduled to open in theaters in the spring of 2021. The studio has now pushed the release date to November of that same year. Director Sam Raimi will be replacing Scott Derrickson at the helm.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Marvel recentlyannounced its plans to delay all of the Phase 4 projects. This includes DoctorStrange 2, though Derrickson believes the delays will turn out to be a goodthing.

Taking to Twitter, Derrickson revealed that Doctor Strangesuffered a five-month delay because of Cumberbatchs busy filming schedule. Theextra time allowed Derrickson and his team to flush out the script and figureout the visual effects.

The pushing of all these big tentpole release dates will increase their overall quality more time for script & production design development. Blade Runner looks so amazing because Ridley Scott & his team took a year during the 80-81 actors & WGA strikes to perfect the visuals, Derrickson added.

Marvel was originally slated to kick off Phase 4 with the release of Black Widow in May. That film has been pushed back to November, while The Eternals will now open in theaters in February of 2021.

Fans were pretty disappointed by the delays, but if Derrickson isright, the postponements will result in a better end product.

With Doctor Strange 2 not scheduled to hit theaters until2021, filming will likely get underway sometime in the fall. Unfortunately,Marvel has been very tight-lipped about the project, though fans havespeculated about which villain might appear in the film.

Several villains have been thrown into the discussion, includingNightmare and Mephisto. But some fans believe that Karl Mordo will actually bethe main antagonist. We already know that Chiwetel Ejiofor will be reprisinghis role as Mordo, so it is not that big of a leap to think he will be thevillain.

We also know that the events in WandaVision and Loki will have an impact on the Multiverse of Madness. Both of these shows are scheduled to premiere before Doctor Strange 2, so fans will have to wait and see how things unfold.

Marvel has not commented on the reports surrounding DoctorStrange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The multiverse is broken in Netflix’s trippy trailer for The Midnight Gospel – The A.V. Club

Posted: at 12:50 pm

To say that Adventure Times creatorPendleton Ward has a knack for heartfelt ventures with a trippy spin would be a huge understatement, especially now that Netflix has released its trailer for the long-awaitedThe Midnight Gospel. Partnering with comedian, podcaster, and writer Duncan Trussell, the newest animated wonder from animation studio Titmouse (Big Mouth) looks like a gorgeous, technicolor mind-melt. Its also the latest product of the streamers expanded deal with the studioa promising attempt to expand their adult animation roster.

Per the official synopsis from the streaming giant, The Midnight Gospel is the story of Clancy, a spacecaster with a malfunctioning multiverse simulator who leaves the comfort of his extra-dimensional home on the Chromatic Ribbon to interview beings living in other worlds. Its nearly impossible to overlook the ways that The Midnight Gospel and Adventure Time are aesthetically similar; however, Trussells comedic voice and clips from his popular podcast Duncan Trussell Family Hour deliver a welcome distinction between the two (along with the overtly more adult direction of TMG). The new series appears to straddle the line between the surreal and the relatably introspective in a similar fashion as retired Netflix joysTuca & Bertie and BoJack Horseman. It also appears just as engaging.

The Midnight Gospel premieres on Netflix April 20, which seems significant somehow, but we cant quite figure out why.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: Unfolding 5 MAJOR Questions Fans Hold! – The Inner Sane

Posted: at 12:50 pm

When the Marvel Studios announced about the upcoming Doctor Strange movie, back in San Diego in 2019, we were all excited. The film will hit the theatres on November 5, 2021, and we do have a lot of questions.

Though it has been a year since we saw Avengers: Endgame and are still sobbing for Tony Stark, Marvel has not stopped its movies. The Marvel Universe is on its way to release more films, like Black Widow, Thor 4, Black Panther 2, and nor Doctor Strange 2.

We do know how the post-credit scenes of the Marvel movies tell us about the connection, but what could be the connection now? As most of the film are about past stories and we have already passed the Endgame movie?

Well, we cannot trust Marvel about not making a considerable movie, so lets just wait and not make conclusions.

Though we know that Karl Mordo is in the sequel, we are not yet sure that he is the main antagonist. There are huge chances that we might see Nightmare and Mephisto in the sequel, but anything could happen in the Multiverse.

Yes, even Wanda is going to be in the movie, but how? Recently, Marvel has released a Wanda-Vision series in Disney+, which is somehow connected to the sequel movie of Doctor Strange. We would see Scarlet Witch in the film but as a supporting role.

That is a complicated question, as we saw Vision dying in the Infinity War and are not sure about his return. But, in the series of Wanda-vision, Vision is alive. How? There are many fan theories to support that, and we would know that as the series moves forward.

As the name Multiverse suggests, there are going to be parallel universes, which means more danger. There could be infinite possibilities and infinite situations, like what if Doctor Strange was never hit in that car accident or what if Vision was never killed? The movie could include such possibilities, leading to an exciting plot.

Doctor Strange 2

However, all we can do is hope that the movie shows us all the possibilities (even those in Endgame).

10 Essential Films To Watch To Catch Up On The DC Universe – Screen Rant

Posted: at 12:50 pm

Alongside the connection between the Arrowverse and the DCEU, it appears that DC is heavily leaning into the multiverse theory. With hundreds of worlds to explore within DC's movie and TV universe, it's fun to know that they could all be connected.

RELATED:10 Best DC Movies (Outside The DCEU), Ranked

We've heard about the World's of DC banner that showcases that different stories will be told in the movies, based on the world-famous comics, but if you're not quite up to date, here's 10 movies from the DC archive to help catch up on this expanding multiverse.

Diana from Themyscira has enjoyed some live-action success in the past, but a solo film is a big deal for this Amazonian warrior. Taking place during World War Two, Wonder Woman must face off against the god of war, Ares and his loyal henchmen.

With great villains such as Dr. Poison included into the mix and Themyscira finally being given the cinematic attention it deserves, this groundbreaking movie is so crucial to watch now, considering there's a sequel on the way!

The first-ever crossover movie for the DC Universe saw Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman team up to take on the force of Steppenwolf. Of course, the movie has since created a lot more of a culture surrounding it.

This was huge for launching characters like Aquaman into his own film and Cyborg to be used on the TV side of the universe. This was also massive in creating the Snyder Cut movement, which is such a large part of the DC conversation currently.

Another movie that's really influenced the overall DC brand is based upon the clown prince of crime. The movie has certainly been controversial in its portrayal of the Joker and indeed the larger representation of both Gotham City and the dark knight himself.

Following Arthur Fleck, a middle-aged man with mental health problems, the movie looks at his eventual spiral into madness and face paint. We may never know how he makes the transition from a symbol of anarchy to Batman villain but it's an interesting watch nonetheless.

Harley Quinn has been a standout character in the DCEU thus far and therefore this warranted her own spin-off movie. Alongside this beloved character, however, a brand new team has been added to the universe.

While the Birds of Prey have been seen on the small screen in the past, in their own TV show, and in the Arrowverse, this is yet another interpretation of the famous comic characters, which include the Question, The Huntress and The Black Canary.

There was a lot of speculation on how Billy Batson based production was going to turn out, but the first portrayal of Shazam on the big screen certainly did not disappoint. In fact, the movie manages to introduce the whole Marvel family to the cinema.

This is a completely different take on the superhero movie and yet it fits into the DCEU so perfectly. This is a character that fans absolutely love and who will continue to spin-off a franchise, perhaps even playing into the multiverse more in the future.

The Green Lanterns are about to become far more prominent again with the HBO Max setting up its own TV show to explore the corps and the Arrowverse finally giving John Diggle a ring to start his adventure as their version of John Stewart.

The original live-action film that has caused so much controversy over the years is always worth another watch. Since other superhero films continue to reference it and Taika Waititi is on a bit of a roll, it's the perfect time to jump back into Hal Jordon's journey.

It's a great moment in DC history to revisit this movie. Brandon Routh has been starring in the Arrowverse for years as the Atom, however, his appearance as the man of steel was enhanced by the recent Crisis crossover event.

His return as Superman showcased that the multiverse really does include the movies too. Although the movie has aged terribly and some of its cast and crew have since been in many controversial legal struggles, Routh's fantastic performance is at the heart of the piece.

There's perhaps no better film in the DC Universe than the middle installment to the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy. The film really did set the stage for what superhero movies could achieve as well as putting forward a definitive version of the Joker.

It's excellent on almost every level and we've already seen how this movie franchise is playing into the larger multiverse, with even Bane's mask appearing in the Arrowverse. This is a must-watch for any DC fan who is yet to see is.

John Constantine has made a bit of a comeback thanks to his own TV show and his time with the Legends. However, there are always nods to old life and that was the movie that really brought this character into the mainstream.

This is currently a bit of a renaissance for Keanu Reeves as well and the movie where he played a sorcerer has really been underrated. In fact, there's actually plenty of people looking back on this film fondly and appreciating it for what it is.

The TV show based on the classic Watchmen graphic novel has been an absolute success. So much so that people are going back to the Zack Snyder film to see how the events in this cinematic retelling differ from the original source material.

As the DC Universe continues to expand and change and the comics are telling their own story involving the characters from the Watchmen universe, it's clear that this graphic version of the story is worth checking out for new and old fans alike.

Keanu Reeves to feature in Marvel Cinematic Universe: Heres what we know – TheNationRoar

Posted: at 12:50 pm

Keanu Reeves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?Yes, you heard it right. I was anxiously waiting for this to happen. This expectation may very well turn into a reality sooner than we can anticipate that it should.

Marvel may have at last discovered the ideal role for Keanu Reeves. The studio has been attempting to get Reeves a section in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a considerable length of time. With Phase 4 going to get in progress, there is an opportunity the John Wick star will land a role in Benedict Cumberbatchs Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Marvel hasnt made an official declaration. However, the film has a section that fits Reeves superbly.

The sources likewise state that Marvel has a few roles that are a primary concern for Reeves. So its not the apocalypse if he doesnt get the Multiverse of Madness part. Its vague what else is coming up for Reeves, yet Marvel president Kevin Feige has confessed to pursuing the actor.

In a past meeting, Feige uncovered that he is continually antitheses with Reeves about joining the MCU. The main explanation Reeves presently cant seem to land a section is because they have not discovered the ideal fit.

On the off chance that he doesnt get the piece of Nightmare in Multiverse of Madness, fans have just illustrated a few different roles that would be extraordinary for Reeves. This incorporates Reeves taking up the mantle of Wolverine following Hugh Jackman, leaving the part.

There is additionally an opportunity that Reeves will get the piece of Moon Knight or Adam Warlock. The previous is set to show up in another Marvel TV program while the last is required to spring up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Concerning DC, weve heard that theyre thinking about Reeves as a rebooted Deathstroke or, more than likely, getting him back to repeat John Constantine, who he initially played in the 2003 Constantine film. The on-screen character has said hed prefer to depict the influential analyst once more, so maybe DC will win the Reeves offering war. On the other hand, it doesnt need to be totally unrelated, and he could without much of a stretch turn up in both the Marvel and DC universes.

Well, These are fan hypotheses clearly. In any case, we honestly would like to see Reeves in some jaw-dropping characters in the future.

Tom Holland Said To Be In Venom 2 – Cosmic Book News

Posted: at 12:50 pm

Is Spider-Man Tom Holland in Venom 2?

According to a Google search on "Tom Holland" spotted by Redditors, the actor's upcoming films include Venom 2 and Uncharted.

It is already confirmed that Holland will be starring in Uncharted for Sony, which is presently on hold because of the coronavirus, but the 23-year-old actor hasn't been officially confirmed for Venom 2, though there is a lot of rumor and speculation (see below).

Before we all get our hopes up, recall that Hugh Jackman was said to be in The Avengers: Endgame as Wolverine in a similar fashion, as a Google searchalso showed Jackman in Endgame, and obviously we know that didn't happen.

It's possible Google may have included that in its search results simply because of its algorithm where a lot of people may be searching to see if Tom Holland is indeed in Venom 2.

Regarding the rumors and speculation, it has been reported by the Hollywood trades that Sony wants to connect its Spider-Man spinoff universe to the MCU and even the Avengers, which would include Tom Holland as Spider-Man.

Rumors offer that things are leading to a crossover movie involving Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Tom Hardy as Venom, and Woody Harrelson as Carnage in a big "Maximum Carnage" flick.

The Hollywood trades also put it forth a Maximum Carnage movie is incoming, though they stopped short of stating it would involve Tom Holland as Spider-Man.

We can also add that the upcoming Jared Leto Morbius movie features Easter Eggs and references to Spider-Man, as the graffiti art features a Spider-Man costume with a nod to the events from Far From Home where Peter was set up as the killer of Mysterio. The film also includes Easter Eggs for Venom, possibly the Clone Saga, the Daily Bugle and it's thought J.K. Simmons might be featured as J.Jonah Jameson.

Another possibility thrown out there is that if the Tom Holland Spider-Man does make his way into the Sony spinoff movies, there won't be a reference to the MCU, perhaps similar to how the MCU never referenced Daredevil, the Netflix shows or SHIELD. With Doctor Strange 2 introducing the multiverse, it could also be possible that the Sony movies exist within their own universe as part of the MCU multiverse with its own version of the Tom Holland Spider-Man, meaning the MCU Spidey isn't the Sony Spidey, but Tom Holland plays both the characters.

Sony does own the film rights to Spider-Man, so we'll have to see how things play out.

Venom 2 hits theaters October 2, 2020, directed by Andy Serkis (who interestingly enough played the MCU's Klaue).
