Lenawi County, Michigan Due to the high number of COVID-19 cases in the school, Tecumseh Junior High School will be closed next week.

School officials posted on Facebook that the building will be quarantined from Monday, September 27 to Friday, October 1, as more students and staff are being quarantined due to the number of COVID-19 cases in junior high school and contact tracing. Said it would be closed. All junior high school sports are also suspended during the week.

This decision was made on the recommendation of the Lenawee County Health Department.

The tentative return to the building is Monday, October 4th.

During this period, all junior high school students will transition to a distance learning format. On September 27th, there will be no classes that will give teachers the opportunity to prepare materials for pick-up.

According to the school, the pick-up schedule is as follows: Families can receive grades 5-8 materials at Shawnee Loop on Mommy Street from 1 pm to 3 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm on Mondays. Staff who bring student materials into the car from the cafeteria.

On October 8th, students will hold classes in each class via Google Meet. Virtual classes follow a direct schedule and time. Students will always be on screen and will be required to complete their work as if they were inside the building. Attend each class.
