The Second Amendment died in New Orleans

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." In the aftermath of the tragedy of hurricane Katrina, the 2nd amendment was thrown out by law enforcement (NOPD) and the Louisiana National Guard. These two groups went door to door confiscating guns legally belonging to law biding residents. This was the first time in the history of the United States of America where the police and the military forcibly removed weapons from citizens sitting at home protecting their families and their property.
