Spencer Hospital Emergency Department Project Continuing to Progress – KICD

Spencer, IA (KICD) Work continues to progress on the Emergency Department at Spencer Hospital as some community members may notice the crane on site is starting to get a bit shorter.

Project Architect Angela McCaulley says the slight downsizing in equipment comes as the size of the steel needed moves also begins to shrink.

McCaulley says one of the next big steps is going to get the project to the point where a majority of the construction is not dependent on weather conditions.

The goal at this point is to start masonry work this summer with the entire project being wrapped up by late next winter.
