WW3: China accuses India of inciting violence as tensions over disputed region erupt – Daily Express

South China Sea: Expert on reported missile deployment in 2016

Pangong Tso is a lake in the disputed territory, with a section of the lake controlled by China but claimed by India. Chinas state media outlet The Global Times cited a report from the Indian funded National Center for Microbial Resource-National Center for Cell Science which said the lake has been damaged by increased human activity.

The report stated the increase in human activity near the lake, especially from tourists staying in villages nearby, has caused bacteria to flourish.

The Global Times then added it found tents to accommodate around 10,000 people in the Mann village near the lake.

Opening their article, the Global Times blasted India for damaging the ecosystem of the lake.

They said India has not only threatened the peace and stability in the region around Pangong Tso lake by inciting frequent tussles along the lakeshore, it is also threatening the unique ecosystem of the body of water.

Chinese media outlets have previously accused India of ramping up military deployments on their side of the lake.

Satellite imagery is said to show Indian military facilities being erected on Finger 4, a mountain spur, for the lake in 2020 according to Chinese media.

The outlets also claim Indian military camps were constructed on Finger 3 between 2013 and 2014.

But open-source intelligence Twitter user@detresfa_shared satellite images of Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) forces mushrooming all over the lake area.

China has constructed a new road south of Pangong Tso, and showed off PLA commandos carrying out physical training in the region.

India has also recently boosted security details near the lake, with the government also fast tracking the construction of 12 fast patrol boats to counter the Chinese.

Military deployments have escalated in the area in the wake of Junes lethal clash between Indian and PLA forces.

An unconfirmed number of PLA troops and 20 Indian soldiers died in a hand-to-hand clash in the border region last year.

In the wake of the lethal clash, both China and India have been in deadlocked diplomacy talks over deescalating tensions in the region.

After eight months and eight rounds of negotiations at the military commander level neither sides have agreed to stand down in Ladakh.

A senior Indian official told the Hindustan Times: While the dates for the ninth round of military talks are still to be decided, we are in no hurry as the Chinese side is yet to get back with certain clarifications towards disengagement and de-escalation on ground.

We are prepared for a long haul but the ultimate objective is to get the heavy armour of both armies back to bases.

Both India and China insist, however, the border is stable and no further military action will be taken.

India has angered China by engaging in military drills with the US, Japan and Australia.

China on the other hand has angered India with a military agreement with Pakistan, another country along the LAC.

Washington: Donald Trump protests 'embarrassing' says Coulter

Tensions have been running high all over the world in the past year, but the US in particular has seen chaos and destruction sweep the country. Political divisions have been devastating the country as President Donald Trumps supporters continue to run riot. On Wednesday, the US Capitol Building was invaded by Mr Trumps most hardcore supporters who have been calling for the result of the November 3 election to be reversed, claiming the current President is the rightful winner. President Trump himself has not helped matters, rather aggravating the situation, by continuously repeating his unfounded rhetoric that voter fraud is the reason he lost the Presidency for a second term.

Spurring on the crowds in Washington, Mr Trumps lawyer Rudi Giuliani told a pro-Trump rally was willing to stake [his] reputation on election fraud.

He added: And if were wrong, we will be made fools of. But if were right, a lot of them will go to jail. So lets have trial by combat.

Following the riots, 52 people have been arrested while four people have lost their lives, with one woman being critically shot in the chest on video.

The scenes in the US shocked onlookers around the world who were watching democracy be challenged in a way normally unrecognisable in a wealthy, developed country such as the US.

Speaking toExpress.co.ukabout the potential dangers America poses to the world under Mr Trump and soon-to-be President Biden, Professor of International Relations at Londons Metropolitan University Dr Andrew Moran said the new president is likely to take a different approach.

READ MORE:World War 3 MAPPED: The SIX places where WW3 could break out in 2020

Dr Moran said: America is seen around the world by many as a declining power.

The economic collapse of 2008 substantially undermined the model of capitalism, whilst the faith of many in Americas military power has been damaged by the perceived failures in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Dr Moran explained how the events in Washington on Wednesday further add to the USs dwindling role on the world stage.

He explained: Rather than the bluster and fireworks of the Trump presidency, we may see a more nuanced foreign policy. But Biden will be challenged.

This has now been made worse by the dramatic events overnight in Washington.

The storming of the Capitol Building has substantially undermined the credibility of American democracy and its institutions, which the leadership in China and Russia are all too eager to capitalise on.

Dr Moran thinks President-elect Biden may use force to earn back Americas reputation as a militarily powerful and influential nation.

He added: Bidens instinct will be to reach out to multilateral institutions and to use established regimes and norms to address these problems. That does not mean that he will not be willing to use force.

When he was Vice-President, Biden worked with a president, Barack Obama, who though reluctant to become involved in direct conflict overseas, was willing to use force in more discreet ways, such as the use of drone strikes, special forces and cyber warfare.

For the last year, the most dangerous and extreme-risk countries are mostly congregated in Africa and the Middle East.

This extensive list includes places like Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan.

Mexico, which is often in the news for murders and cartel crimes, has a range of ratings from moderate to high risk depending on where in the country you are.

Erika Weisbrod, director of security solutions at International SOS, explained: There are certain regions within each county that may have a higher risk or might be more dangerous than others.

Nostradamus 2021 predictions: WW3 outbreak, solar flares, cataclysms, Brexit in New Year – Daily Express

Nostradamus 2020 predicts rise of 'antichrist' in chilling trailer

Nostradamus is widely regarded as the world's leading authority on prophecy and predictions, even 454 years after his death. The French mystic and writer published during his lifetime (1503 to 1566) collections of cryptic predictions many believe have accurately warned us of the future. Nostradamus's followers claim he correctly predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler to power in 1933, the coronavirus pandemic and the Great Fire of London in 1666 - but what did he have to say about 2021?

Michele de Nostredame, better known as Nostradamus, penned his prophecies in the form of four-lined poems or quatrains.

The bulk of his work was published not long before his death, in his 1555 magnum opus Les Propheties.

The writings have been poured over in a bid to glean some hints about what will happen in the future.

Some of his predictions that are yet to pass include supposed warnings of World War 3, natural cataclysms and possibly even Brexit.

Craig Hamilton-Parker, a leading British psychic and medium who runs Psychics.co.uk has also shared with Epxress.co.uk some of his own predictions for the new year, which you can read below.

READ MORE:Nostradamus predictions for 2021: Which predictions have come true?

The year 2020 has been a very tough sell for most people across the globe with the coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest and the looming threat of climate change.

But if Nostradamus's followers are to be believed, his most feared prophecies about the outbreak of global war are yet to pass. Will 2021 be the year this happens?

Nostradamus is said to have warned us of a war between the East and the West in one of his quatrains.

In Century VIII, Quatrain 59, he wrote: "Twice put up and twice cast down,

"the East will also weaken the West.

"Its adversary after several battles

"chased by sea will fail at time of need."

Is this a reference to World War 3, or something else entirely?

Our planet has been spared the effects of a powerful solar event since 1859.

Then, a powerful solar flare and geomagnetic storm known as the Carrington Event struck the planet, burning out telegraph wires and creating auroras so powerful many people thought nighttime had turned into day.

If such an event repeated in our modern-day world, the effects would likely be catastrophic on our infrastructure, power grids and communication.

The Earth was spared another Carrington-level event in 2012 when the Sun released a powerful Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) in the Earth's direction.

Daniel Baker of the University of Colorado said at the time: "If it had hit, we would still be picking up the pieces."

DON'T MISS...End of the world prophecy: Bible warns of 'terrible times' in End Days[REPORT]End of the world: Look for THESE signs of the Antichrist's arrival[INTERVIEW]End of the world claim: Jerusalem third temple fulfils Bible prophecy[INSIGHT]

But if claims about Nostradamus's writings are true, the mystic may have warned of a powerful solar flare hitting the planet.

Century VIII, Quatrain 2, reads: "Condom and Auch and around Mirande,

"I see fire from the sky which encompasses them.

"Sun and Mars conjoined in Leo, then at Marmande,

"lightning, great hail, a wall falls into the Garonne."

Another of Nostradamus's passage is also believed to contain a warning about natural cataclysms including global sea levels rising.

Century VI, Quatrain 20 reads: "Peace and plenty for a long time the place will praise:

"Throughout his realm the fleur-de-lis deserted:

"Bodies dead by water, land one will bring there,

"Vainly awaiting the good fortune to be buried there."

Among the more bizarre claims, is the notion Nostradamus foretold Britain's exit from the European Union.

Nostradamus supposedly knew this would happen and wrote about it in Century I, Quatrain 33.

The passage reads: "Peace and plenty for a long time the place will praise:

"Throughout his realm the fleur-de-lis deserted:

"Bodies dead by water, land one will bring there,

"Vainly awaiting the good fortune to be buried there."

Mr Hamilton-Parker has also made his predictions about Brexit and the UK's future outside of the EU.

The UK finally severed its link to the economic bloc on December 31 when the Brexit transition period ended.

After that, Mr Hamilton-Parker predicts the economy will take a hit but will bounce back in a fairly short amount of time.

He said: "Britain will become a world leader in Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence.

"This will be spearheaded by targeted government investment into the intelligence services and the military.

"A giant car factory will be built specialising entirely in electric vehicles and wind power turbines.

"New factories will be built in Oxford for the production of pharmaceuticals, vaccines and insulin.

"Free trade zones will be created to attract companies such as Facebook, Google and Amazon."

The psychic has also told Express.co.uk of a new virus that will emerge in China in 2021.

The new virus will not have any links to the coronavirus and it will take a while before its origin is exposed.

And speaking of coronavirus, Mr Hamilton-Parker said: "Vaccinations will never completely defeat Covid-19.

"It will mutate into other less dangerous forms that do not require a vaccine.

"Pockets of the virus will persist in remote places such as Siberia and the Amazon."

Nostradamus has established a strong following in the years after his death but there is no credible evidence to back his supposed prophecies.

Sceptics argue Nostradamus's writings are fallaciously interpreted and skewed to fit events after they have already happened.

According to Brian Dunning, the author of the Skeptoid podcast, not a single Nostradamus prophecy or prediction has truly come to pass.

He said: "Michel de Nostredame was truly one of the brilliant lights of his day, but to subscribe to false stories and urban legends is to disrespect who the man actually was.

"Appreciate his contributions to medicine and Renaissance literature, and don't trivialize his good works in favour of a pretended history of paranormal magical powers."

Iran: MPs chant in Parliament after passing nuclear bill

The nations foreign ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, spoke following unconfirmed reports of an Israeli submarine crossing the Suez Canal and heading for the Gulf. It also comes a week after the US Navy announced the deployment of nuclear submarine USS Georgia to the region, which passed through the Strait of Hormuz in a show of strength.

The strait is the only sea passage connecting the Persian Gulf to the open ocean, making it one of the world's most strategically important choke points.

According to Agence France-Presse, on Monday, Mr Khatibzade told reporters: Everyone knows what the Persian Gulf signifies for Iran.

Everyone knows the policies [of Tehran] regarding security and national security.

Everyone knows very well how high the risk is raised if the red lines of Iran are crossed.

Tehran believes Israel is responsible for the assassination of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh last month, among other operations.

Long-standing tensions between Washington and Tehran intensified in 2018 when President Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal.

Mr Trump accused Iran of being involved in a rocket attack on the US embassy in Baghdad last week ahead of the first anniversary of the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, one of the nations leading military commanders.

Soleimani was killed by a Donald Trump ordered airstrike on January 3 at around 1am in Baghdad, Iraq.

The Pentagon said the mission was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans.

READ MORE: World War 3 MAPPED: The SIX places where WW3 could break out in 2020

Mr Khatibzadeh added: "We have sent messages to the US government and our friends in the region (warning) the current US regime not to embark on a new adventure in its final days at the White House.

On Friday, as reported by Tasnim News, Brigadier General Mohammad Hejazi, deputy chief of the IRGC Quds Force, said Iran plans a harsh revenge for Soleimanis killing.

General Hejazi, echoing Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said retaliatory missile attacks on the US military base of Ain al-Assad, Iraq were slaps in the face.

These strikes left more than 100 US troops with traumatic brain injuries.

Khamenei, who this month met with Soleimanis family, said: Those who ordered the murder of General Soleimani as well as those who carried this out should be punished.

Mr Trump spoke of the rocket attacks on the US embassy in Baghdad on Twitter.

He claimed: Our embassy in Baghdad got hit Sunday by several rockets.

Guess where they came from: IRAN.

Now we hear chatter about additional attacks against Americans in Iraq Some friendly health advice to Iran: If one American is killed, I will hold Iran responsible. Think it over.

An Iraqi military statement said an an outlawed group was behind the attack.

The US withdrew staff from the Baghdad embassy earlier this month ahead of the first anniversary of the Soleimani airstrike in a precautionary move.

CS Soapbox: THAT WW84 Cameo and What it Might Mean for WW3

Wonder Woman 1984 is a strange movie. Not a bad movie, mind you, just a strange one. Of all the directions Patty Jenkins and Co. could have taken Diana, the most badass of badass Amazonians, they decided to throw her in the middle of a wacky wishing stone plot ripped straight from that Hawaiian episode of The Brady Bunch. No matter. The film is destined to make lots of money with over 50% of HBO Max users having already watched the film on Christmas Day. Regardless of audience reaction -which as it stands appears quite polarizing- Warner Bros. saw fit to immediately fast track a third film to be written and directed by Jenkins.

Clearly, Jenkins (in Joker voice) has plans for Diana, particularly considering that post-credit cameo that saw the OG Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter (who played Diana in the Wonder Woman TV series that ran from 1975-79) emerge as the mysterious Asteria.

Will WW3 see Diana square off against Lynda Carter? Will it be set in the 90s? Will Steve Trevor return, again? Were here to run through what we know about the film so far and offer our oh-so-important insight as to what we think might happen. Read!

RELATED:Patty Jenkins Gives an Update on Wonder Woman 3 and the Amazons Spinoff

Midway through WW84, a quasi-reincarnated Steve Trevor bumps into some golden armor Diana has stowed in the corner of her apartment. The scene raises several questions, the least of which is: why the hell does Diana have legendary golden armor stashed in the corner of her apartment? (Answer: because she needs it for the finale duh!) And, where did this armor come from?

As it turns out, the armor once belonged to the powerful Amazonian Asteria, who used it to hold off a bunch of no good rotten men so that her sisters could escape endless cat calls and flee to Themyscira. Diana explains that Asteria was presumed dead after her momentous stand and possibly left naked somewhere since her armor was found sans body which led the Amazonians with one nay, two tall tasks: build a statue and hold a bunch of Olympic-style games in her honor.

Heres the twist: Asteria isnt dead at all so, f**k that statue! In fact, shes very much alive and perfectly content wandering the world adorned in a blue poncho discreetly saving people at random. Asteria clearly knows shes the sh*t as evidenced by her overtly theatrical turn-and-pose-for-the-camera, but questions remain: How is Asteria alive? Is she good or bad? And why is she 70?

Note: Asteria only appears twice in the Wonder Woman comics and has a complicated relationship with Zeus in Greek mythology. Though, none of these sources will do much to help us understand the character Lynda Carter is portraying.

Word on the street is Patty Jenkins has two more Wonder Woman stories already mapped out in her brain. The story continues after this in movies that I may or may not direct, the director told EW, but I have two more stories that become the completion of this story and its all about women stepping in as women, in the most loving, kind, pure and natural way. And making a difference in the world without having to change who they are to do it.

So, since she included Carters cameo at the end of WW84, and seeing how the new movie is basically one giant homage to the original TV series right down to Pedro Pascals decidedly, ah, campy villain, one might surmise that Jenkins plans include Asteria/Carter in some way shape or form in future installments.

In all likelihood it will probably be an extended cameo. You know, one of those moments where the writers are stuck the heroes are stuck and need some answers? Diana will turn to the camera and say, I know someone who can help. Then we cut to a no good rotten man stealing a purse from a woman, after which a mysterious figure steps forward, knocks him down with ease and says, (Something witty) before tossing the purse back to the woman and winking at a suddenly inspired young girl sitting nearby. Diana will say (Something witty) off camera, Asteria will turn to see Diana, smile and embrace her friend while Steve Trevor (who is somehow brought back from the dead again) stands idly by looking completely dumbfounded. I thought she was dead, he will proclaim like an idiot. Then, well get an expository dump revealing how Asteria escaped her fate and blah, blah, blah End scene.

Or, maybe Jenkins will take a different angle and make Asteria the villain, which could set up a unique story in which Diana learns some hard truths about the Amazonians, her mother and her place in the universe a story that could tie into Jenkins planned Amazonians spinoff! Nah. Itll be a cameo.

RELATED: Wonder Woman 3 Fast Tracked at Warner Bros. Pictures!

What we do know about Wonder Woman Trois is that WB is perfectly comfortable with the tone established in WW84. Which means were likely to get something more on par with that horrible mall sequence in which Diana fights off a trio of bumbling, Home Alone-esque villains than any of the badass bits of Diana going toe-to-toe against beings from other planets as seen in Batman v Superman or the upcoming Zack Snyders Justice League Cut of Joss Whedons Justice League Snyder. To each their own.

The film could also further explore Cat-ra Cheetah, who was last seen seemingly bereft of her powers sulking into the camera at the end of WW84. In the comics Cheetah basically serves as Dianas Joker, and since WW84 basically eschewed any and all comic book-inspired versions of the character, there are more than enough unique stories the threequel could tackle.

Or and this is a bit of a stretch since rumors abound that Chris Pine may return for the all-star Flash movie, its possible Steve Trevor is actually brought into the modern world for good this time so we can have funny montages of him figuring out cell phones whilst avoiding any conversations revolving around what it was like to be dead, what it feels like to walk in someone elses skin, etc. What would a Wonder Woman movie be without Steve Trevor, amirite?

Of course, if Jenkins wants to remain faithful to the TV show, she could always adapt one of the series many outlandish plotlines. Theres one in which Diana must take down a crazed Disco psychic, another where she battles a businessman looking to take control of the skateboarding industry, and yet another where she fights a giant gorilla. Sure, the plotlines sound ridiculous, but if I wrote Diana takes on an oil tycoon corrupted by a powerful wishing stone, youd probably think that sounded stupid too.

In all seriousness, WW84s characterization of Diana veers much closer to Lynda Carters portrayal of the heroine than Zack Snyders. Thats not a criticism, just an observation. In the TV series, Diana was a plucky superheroine who looked out for the little guy and used her powers to do more than just pummel bad guys to death mainly due to budget limitations, but still, you get the gist.

In WW84, Jenkins has pushed Diana further away from Snyders initial depiction of the character, and Carters involvement likely cements this current direction moving forward, regardless of where Snyders Justice League takes her. Couple that with WBs upcoming slate of films, namely Shazam 2 (featuring Sinbad!), Black Adam (featuring the Rock!), Aquaman 2 (featuring, uh, Amber Heard!) and James Gunns The Suicide Squad (featuring King Shark!) and it seems WB is keen to replicate Marvels lighthearted tone over Snyders apocalyptic, metal-heavy style at least in terms of its shared universe.

Whether you believe this is the right course for the studio depends on just how excited you were to see Lynda Carter in that blue poncho.

Gal Gadot Thinks WW3 Should Be Set In The Present – LRM Online

Posted: at 12:38 am

Should WW3 be set in the present?

WW84 is finally upon us! Sure its had some bumps along the way. From release date conflicts to platform release styles, they stuck to their guns and will meet the December 25 release! Whether you are team stream + theater or not, the world will see what type of response comes from the release of the hopeful blockbuster, WW84. MTV Newss Josh Horowitz was able to sit down with Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, for an interview regarding the new film. Of course, what type of an interview would it be if we didnt take the opportunity to ask about a possible sequel to a film that has not been released yet? While it is brief, she does express the time period she thinks WW3 should take place in.

I would suggest watching the entire interview, but around the 7:50 mark, Gadot briefly discusses WW3. When asked about the time period she thinks a third installment should be set in, she reveals that the present is the way to go. With the first film taking place during WWI in 1918 and the sequel in 1984, Gadot feels as if the past has been accurately represented. She goes on to say that going into the 40s or 60s doesnt need to be covered due to already focusing on the past.

I agree with this. The two stand-alone films provides fans with the blanks that we had from the picture we saw in BvS through Justice League. Now with that timespan covered, her history, and some villains are established. Also, this provides a progression of her story now moving forward. This could also lead to a more fluid, possible incorporation in other DC films. One of those that Horowitz asked about is Black Adam since Gadot is working on another film with The Rock. In true Gadot fashion, she suggests that anything is possible, but doesnt want to discuss it. She feels The Rock should be the primary focus for his film. Therefore Gadot doesnt want to possibly steal some of Rocks thunder talking about guest appearances.

In the interview, Gadot also discusses her close friendship with Patty Jenkins, forming a relationship with Kristen Wiig, working with Chris Pine with the 80s theme, and her WW84 costumes. She also briefly discusses her military experience, gravitating towards strong female characters, and other upcoming projects.

What do you think? Should WW3 take place in the present, or would you rather see a different time period? Are you pumped for WW84? What platform will you be viewing the film? Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!

WW3: Fears of TOTAL WAR surge as Indian commander admits trust with China has evaporated – Daily Express

World War 3: Vision 2020 outlines plans for full dominance

On 15-16 June 20 Indian soldiers were killed in hand-to-hand fighting with their Chinese counterparts along the contested Galwan River valley. This was the deadliest fighting between the two countries since they fought a brief war in 1962.

Speaking at an event held to mark Indias victory over Pakistan in a 1971 war Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan, from Indias eastern command, admitted trust with China remains low.

He commented: Id like to say thereve been no major intrusions or face-offs in Eastern Command area since friction in Ladakh.

Post-Galwan incident, mutual trust on LAC [Line of Control between India and China] between us and Chinese Peoples Liberation Army evaporated and will take time to stabilise.

Lt Gen Chauhan was speaking at Fort William in Kolkata, where Indias eastern army command is headquartered.

As firearms are banned along the LAC the fighting in June largely took place with melee weapons.

The two sides battled with iron bars, clubs wrapped in barbed wire and rocks.

Many of the Indian dead either drowned or died of exposure after being injured.

There were also reports of Chinese casualties though Beijing hasnt released an official figure.

Following the violence there were angry anti-Beijing protests across India.

The Indian Government banned a number of Chinese apps, including TikTok, on national security grounds.

Each year on December 16 India and Bangladesh celebrate Vijay Diwas to mark Pakistans defeat in the 1971 Bangladeshi war of independence.

Indian troops supported a rebellion in what was east Pakistan leading to the creation of the new nation of Bangladesh.

However, hundreds of thousands were killed in the brutal conflict.

In Delhi Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister, marked the occasion at the National War Memorial.

He lit the Swarnim Vijay Mashaal, an Indian memorial, in tribute to the soldiers killed in the war of 1971.

In a statement the Indian defence ministry said: In December 1971, the Indian armed forces secured a decisive and historic victory over Pakistan Army, which led to the creation of a nation - Bangladesh and also resulted in the largest military surrender after the World War II.

From 16 December, the Nation will be celebrating 50 Years of India-Pak War, also called Swarnim Vijay Varsh.

Various commemorative events are planned across the Nation.

India remains locked in a vicious dispute with Pakistan over the Muslim dominated region of Kashmir.

On November 13 the two sides exchanged shelling killing one Pakistani and five Indian soldiers.

Six Indian and five Pakistani civilians were also killed.

The number of violence clashes has increased significantly in the past few years with both sides conducting bombing raids into territory controlled by the other in 2019.

The actor Gal Gadot can’t picture making WW3 without – Looper

At the end of the firstWonder Woman, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) takes a bomber plane filled with poison up into the air to detonate it so that it doesn't kill hundreds of innocent people, sacrificing himself in the process. His death made for an emotional climax to the film, which is why it was more than a little confusing when we saw Steve return in the trailer forWonder Woman 1984. Whatever the reasoning for Steve's apparent resurrection ends up being, Gal Gadot was excited for Chris Pine to return to the franchise, and it's clear from a recent interview she did withEntertainment Tonightthat if there's aWonder Woman 3, she would want Pine to come back again.

She told EW, "I couldn't imagine doing another one without him." Throughout the interview, she makes it clear Pine was a big reason the first film worked so well, going on to say, "The fact that they figured out the right way to bring him back that actually helps the story, it was delightful to work with him again and it felt like coming back home, working with Patty and with [Chris] and with our wonderful crew." Gadot and Pine's chemistry was undeniable in the first film, and it definitely played a big role in the film becoming the massive success that it was.

We don't know as of right now whether Steve Trevor makes it out ofWonder Woman 1984 alive or how he could come back for a sequel. Given Pine's massive appeal, you can bet the powers-that-be will do everything they can to try to bring him back for at least one last wonderful ride.

You can see Chris Pine and Gal Gadot in all their steamy glory by streamingWonder Woman 1984 on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020, on HBO Max.

WW3 fears: ‘We will fight to the end!’ Xi ups the ante in veiled threat to US superpower’ – Daily Express

Speaking on Friday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing Xi Jinping's belligerent speech was met by unanimous applause whilst he boasted of China's resistance against US aggression and aid to North Korea in the brutal civil war from 1950 to 1953. The Korean civil war was the only military conflict between China and the United States. Xi Jinping held the conflict which led to a stalemate as a demonstration of Chinas military might against American imperialism.

The Chinese leader tasked his nation to learn from history and quickly modernise its military.

The stability and internal security-obsessed leader was at pains to emphasise the ruling Communist Party should always maintain absolute leadership over the military.

Levying a not so subtle attack on the US Xi Jinping stated: "We will fight and fight to the end, even if you are the number one superpower in the world.

Any actions that focus only on oneself and any efforts to engage in hegemony and bullying will simply not work not only will it not work, but it will be a dead end.

President Xi Jinping also attacked Washington when he declared US, "unilateralism, protectionism, and egoism will never work".

He added: "Blackmail, blockades, and extreme pressure will simply get nowhere.

"Any act of hegemony and bullying will never work.

"It will eventually lead to a dead end."

The Chinese leader added: "Seventy years ago, the imperialist invaders fired upon the doorstep of a new China.

The Chinese people understood that you must use the language that invaders can understand.

"You must fight a war with war and to stop an invasion with force, earning peace and respect through victory.

"The Chinese people will not create trouble.

"Chinese people are not afraid of them.

"No matter the difficulties or challenges we face, our legs will not shake and our backs will not bend.

His comments come as both US President Donald Trump and his Democratic rival Joe Biden spoke about their tough approach to China ahead of the US election.
