As usual, I will be rocking with the Sunday afternoon under. That spot is off to a 3-2 start this season, bringing the cumulative record to 381-317-12 dating back to 2006. Thats good for a 55% cover rate and a +6% return on investment, and youll take those numbers on such a large sample size.

I think the under makes even more sense than usual given the matchup. The Warriors have been the best defensive team in basketball this season allowing just 99.9 points per 100 possessions while the Clippers rank second in defensive efficiency. Both teams average right around 100 possessions per game, so that makes this number feel a bit high to begin with. Add in the fact that both teams were off last night in Los Angeles? Dont be surprised if both teams look sluggish.

Im looking into my crystal ball a bit for this pick. LeBron James is currently questionable, and it would not shock me one bit if he ultimately sits. Hes still dealing with an abdominal injury that caused him to miss eight games earlier this year, and the Lakers are coming off a grueling triple-overtime loss in their last outing.

Theres also some bad blood between these teams following the LeBron/Isaiah Stewart confrontation in their last meeting. NBA Twitter will have an absolute field day if LeBron sits in this matchup, but the Lakers cant let Twitter run their team. They need to do what gives them the best chance of winning a title this season, and you can make a strong case that sitting LeBron in this spot does just that.

The Lakers would still have a sizable talent advantage even without LeBron, but this line would undoubtedly be too high. The Lakers have played 608 minutes without LeBron this season, and theyve been outscored by -4.4 points per 100 possessions with him off the court.

Lets wrap things up with a prop bet. The unofficial mayor of Milwaukee has been balling recently. Hes started the last 11 games for the Bucks, and that should continue for as long as Brook Lopez is sidelined. Hes taken full advantage of his starting role, averaging 17.5 points and 30.8 minutes in those contests. Portis has also hit the over on 14.5 points in seven of those 11 games.

The Pacers are a middle-of-the-pack team defensively, so I have no problem going back to the well with Portis in this spot.

There are no dominant teams in the NFL this season, and thats perfectly fine with sportsbooks.

As a bookmaker, parity is our friend, and thats exactly what were seeing in the NFL now, Westgate SuperBook vice president Jay Kornegay said. Its very unpredictable.

In the first seven weeks of the season, there were only two outright upsets by underdogs of seven points or more as bettors held their own against the books, compiling a rare three-week winning streak.

But during the past four weeks, there have been nine such upsets as underdogs and the books have cleaned up.

If the Steelers cover tonight, itll be our best day of the season, MGM Resorts director of trading Jeff Stoneback said before Pittsburgh played the Chargers on Sunday Night Football.

Money was on Los Angeles (-6) by a 10-1 margin at BetMGM. The Steelers trailed by 14 in the fourth quarter before rallying for a cover in a wild 41-37 shootout loss.

Underdogs went 7-6 ATS with five outright upsets Sunday as Tennessee and Buffalo, the AFCs top two playoff seeds entering Week 11, each suffered stunning losses.

In the days biggest upset, the Houston Texans beat the Titans 22-13 as 10-point underdogs and +375 on the money line.

Were not only seeing parity with the top teams, were also seeing that with the bottom teams, Kornegay said. Some of the bad teams have stepped up here and there and won some key games for us.

In another shocker, the Indianapolis Colts crushed the Bills 41-15 in Buffalo as 7-point dogs and +250 on the money line.

Jonathan Taylor scored five touchdowns for the Colts, who delivered one of the biggest wins for the books.

The Colts look like a scary-good team because they can run so well, Red Rock Resort sportsbook director Chuck Esposito said. Buffalo didnt just lose that game. They got the you know what kicked out of them at home.

I clearly dont look at Buffalo as one of the top teams in the AFC right now.

Chiefs in charge

The Chiefs are suddenly playing like one of the NFLs top teams again after winning their fourth straight in a 19-9 victory over the Cowboys as 2-point favorites.

Kansas City covered its second game in a row for the betting public, but books won on the total as it stayed way under 56.

Its amazing how, three weeks ago, the Chiefs were in last place in the AFC West, and now they look like theyre the best team in the league, Esposito said. Whatever team is healthy and gets hot at the right time is going to be the scary team.

Huge sweats

In two big losses for bettors, the Vikings (+1) outlasted the Packers 34-31, and the Cardinals (+4) beat the Seahawks 23-13.

Arizona opened -2 before the line flipped with the news that quarterback Kyler Murray would miss the game and be replaced by Colt McCoy. Money poured in on Seattle, but the Cardinals never trailed in giving BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook their biggest win of the day.

We had huge sweats on the Seahawks, Caesars vice president of trading Craig Mucklow said. Almost $1 million in stakes off of one customer who bet +2 and the money line early in the week, then came in for $520,000 at -2.

The Ravens dropped from -5 to -1 over the Bears on Sunday after QB Lamar Jackson was a late scratch with an illness. Baltimore rallied for a 16-13 win and covered the closing line.

But an unfortunate BetMGM bettor lost a $357,500 wager placed Friday on the Ravens -4.

Off bandwagon

The Raiders burned their backers for the third straight week in a 32-13 loss to the Bengals as 2-point home underdogs. Bettors also lost big on the total, which stayed under 51 despite the teams combining for 26 points in the fourth quarter.

It didnt take long for the local fans to jump off the wagon, as we actually needed the Raiders, Kornegay said. That was one of our biggest losers. I didnt think in such a short span people would start playing against the Raiders.

Theyre really struggling offensively.

The Wolverines handled the Buckeyes 42-27 in the snow at The Big House, clinching a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game and moving from 50-1 to 10-1 in Caesars Sportsbook's odds to win the national championship. Only Georgia, the odds-on favorite, and Alabama had better national title odds than Michigan as of late Saturday afternoon.

The Wolverines entered the season at 100-1 and lost some of their luster after a close defeat to Michigan State in late October. On Saturday, the betting public -- including gamblers in Michigan -- overwhelmingly sided with the favored Buckeyes. At Caesars Sportsbook in Michigan, 95% of the money bet on the game's spread was on Ohio State.

A spokesman for sportsbook PointsBet told ESPN that Michigan's upset of the Buckeyes produced the bookmaker's largest win on a college football game this season.

There were some savvy Wolverines backers, though, who caused the point spread to move significantly late in the week and in the hours leading up to kickoff. The Buckeyes, who could be found as high as 9-point favorites during the week, closed as consensus 6.5-point favorites. Bets on the Wolverines from influential customers caused the line to shrink, multiple sportsbooks told ESPN.

Caesars Sportsbook reported taking a $275,000 bet on Michigan +8.5 earlier in the week, and BetMGM on Saturday tweeted that a bettor placed a $200,000 money-line wager on the Wolverines to win straight up at +250 odds. The bettor won a net $500,000.

Michigan's performance also bolstered the Heisman odds of defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who had seven tackles, including three sacks against the Buckeyes. Hutchinson, who previously was not listed, had the third-best odds to win the Heisman Trophy at 7-1 Saturday at DraftKings.

The Carolina Panthers head south for the winter to take on the Miami Dolphins. The Panthers are coming off a loss to the Washington Football Team even with Cam Newton making his return home to Carolina. Dont look now but the Dolphins are on a three-game win streak with their most recent being a 24-17 divisional win against the New York Jets.

Here, well take a look at our picks for best bets for the Panthers-Dolphins in Week 12 of the NFL season. Odds come via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Spread: CAR -2Point total: 41.5 Moneyline: CAR -130, MIA +110

Pick against the spread: MIA +2

The Dolphins' defense isnt great, but they are more susceptible to getting beaten by the pass than they are the run. The Panthers' offense looked better against the WFT in Week 11, but Newton threw for fewer than 200 yards. Sure, he had a long rushing touchdown in typical Newton fashion, but the team as a whole didnt come together. The Dolphins' offense is clicking at the right time even missing some of their best pass-catchers. Mike Gesicki could be a problem for the Panthers' defense and I think he is what gives Miami the edge.

Over/under: OVER 41.5

I know that I am not big on Cam Newton throwing the ball, but he still finds ways to get the ball into the endzone. Plus, he isnt the entire Panthers offense. Christian McCaffrey is still running around and is a problem for defenses. Even if the Panthers' defense rebounds this game, I think the OVER still gets hit.

The Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints will face off this coming week, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving.

The Bills took a big L against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11 as they lost 41-15. The Saints didnt fare much better against the Philadelphia Eagles as they lost 40-29.

On a short week, they will make the adjustments needed to stop the Saints' offense and reignite their own to cover.
