Fleetwood Macs iconic Rumours is getting a new twist next weekend.
The Harrison Festival Society is hosting Rumours Reimagined on Saturday, May 20, at Memorial Hall (290 Esplanade Avenue) in Harrison Hot Springs.
The weekend concert features music from the acclaimed 1977 album, welcoming artists across the Fraser Valley and Vancouver area. These artists will go their own way to interpret the songs featured in Rumours.
The goal of the evening is not to reproduce the album note for note, but to allow for some interpretation by these fine singers and players, allowing the passion and meaning to come through, the Festival Society stated. We are excited to hear these great songs being performed in person in the intimacy of the Memorial Hall. It promises to be a great evening!
There are four featured artists: Soul/jazz/R&B artist Krystle Dos Santos, guitarist Adam Dobres, Mama Danced artist L.J. Mounteney and Juno-nominated percussionist Robin Layne.
This concert is the result of a previous survey conducted by the Festival Society in which fans could choose one of six 1970s albums to be reimagined by area artists. The other five albums were the late Gordon Lightfoots Sundown, Bob Dylans Blood on the Tracks, Jon Mitchells Blue, Neil Youngs Harvest and Carole Kings Tapestry.

Rumours Reimagined caps off the Festival Societys Season of Performing Arts a series of performances that has run from September to May for the past 29 years.
Rumours is one of the best-selling albums of all time, selling 40 million copies to date, raising Fleetwood Mac to 70s rock immortality.
Tickets for Rumours Reimagined is available now at harrisonfestival.com. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
