Capitol Clarity, a wildly popular weekly class that teaches Idaho residents how to engage with state government, will return in 2023 thanks to a partnership between Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin, state Rep. Tammy Nichols, and the Idaho Freedom Foundation.

McGeachin launched the classes in 2021 after several requests from constituents for more information about the legislative process. Since its founding, Capitol Clarity has educated tens of thousands of Idahoans and helped them understand the legislative process and how they can have a say in the state government.

Asked about the event, McGeachin said, Idahoans wanted to get involved and have a say on the future of our beloved Idaho. We listened to the people, and created an informative tool for those looking to get involved. Im pleased to partner with Nichols and IFF to continue the program into 2023 and beyond.

Idaho Freedom Vice President Dustin Hurst lauded McGeachins efforts and offered a preview of whats in store for the 2023 class series. Janice has done tremendous work arming citizens with information they need to shape the states future. Her commitment to the people of this state is rare and unmatched. Idaho Freedom will carry this torch forward with excellent programming for residents.

Capitol Clarity will be a one hour-long class held Thursday at noon in the Capitols Lincoln Auditorium during the 2023 legislative session. Those who cannot attend in person can stream the weekly classes at CapitolClarity.com.

The first class is set for January 12, 2023. There will be 11 classes, with the last class being held March 23, 2023.

The 2023 classes will feature addresses by Dr. James Lindsay, a best-selling author and foremost education expert, Idaho Second Amendment Alliance President Greg Pruett, and Center for American Education Director Anna K. Miller, among many others.

CapitolClarity.com will serve as a hub for the class and related content. All class videos will be posted along with other important information. It will also include a form to request topics. Idahoans looking to learn more about certain state government issues or processes can submit their request to Capitol Clarity for consideration.

Nichols, a regular at Capitol Clarity through the past two years, expressed her excitement about this continuation of the valuable classes. Throughout my career, Ive made it a point to share as much information with constituents as I can. Some politicians seek to keep legislative business in the shadows, but thats not how we ought to conduct government.

Capitol Clarity is an essential transparency tool, and I hope to see even larger crowds at the Capitol every Thursday at noon during the 2023 legislative session.
