A lawsuit was filed on Dec. 21, 2023, by Upneet Dhaliwal and Julie Geary, represented by the ACLU Foundation of Southern California and the First Amendment Coalition, against the Temecula Valley Unified School District (TVUSD) Board of Trustees, its President Joseph Komrosky, and TVUSD. The case (No. 5:23-CV-2605) alleges violations of the First Amendment, California Constitution, and the Brown Act.Since a TVUSD conservative majority was elected in 2022, there has been a constant effort in school board meetings to disrupt the members and the president.
