WW3 fears as China sends another five fighter jets over Taiwan in second wave of war games in a day… – The US Sun

Posted: September 24, 2021 at 10:30 am

CHINA has sent five more fighter jets towards Taiwan in another terrifying wave of war games.

The display of force comes after the self-governing island announced its intention to join an 11-nation Pacific trade group that Beijing has also applied to join.

3

China first sent 19 war planes into Taiwan airspace yesterday before sending five more in a second surge later the same day, sparking fears of World War 3.

Taiwan deployed air patrol forces in response to the jets and tracked them on its air defense systems, the islands Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The planes used in the morning flight, some of which flew in a long L-shaped path, included two nuclear-capable bombers and an anti-submarine aircraft.

Later in the day, China sent more bombers as well as an early warning aircraft.

The Communist superpower has sent fighter jets toward Taiwan on an almost daily basis this past year.

It stepped up its military harassment of the self-ruled island and has sent large displays of planes after political events which it views as interfering with its sovereignty

Taiwan and China split during a civil war in 1949, but Beijing continues to claim Taipei as part of its territory and opposes its involvement in international organisations.

Taiwan announced on Thursday that itapplied to jointhe Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, setting up another potential clash with Beijing.

Chinas military sent 18 planes toward Taiwan last year when a top US diplomat visited the island and met with officials there.

In June, it sent 28 warplanes after leaders of the Group of Seven industrialized nations issued a statement calling for a peaceful resolution of cross-Taiwan Strait issues.

It comes afterTaiwan staged chilling biowarfare defence drillsamid fears China is creating weaponised coronaviruses.

Troops began this week by simulating a biological and chemical attack by Beijing as well as preventing a decapitation strike against their president.

Drills are taking place throughout Taiwan as well as on the Taiwan Straits as part of its largest annual military exercise and involve both standing and select reserve forces.

Taiwan recently proposed extra defence spending of $8.69billion over the next five years - including on new missiles - as it warned of an urgent need to upgrade weapons in the face of a "severe threat" from its neighbour.

Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen has made modernising the armed forces a priority, especially as Beijing ramps up its military and diplomatic pressure against the island it claims as "sacred" Chinese territory.

"The Chinese Communists have continued to invest heavily in national defence budgets, its military strength has grown rapidly, and it has frequently dispatched aircraft and ships to invade and harass our seas and airspace," Taiwan's Defence Ministry said.

"In the face of severe threats from the enemy, the nation's military is actively engaged in military building and preparation work, and it is urgent to obtain mature and rapid mass production weapons and equipment in a short period of time."

Deputy Defence Minister Wang Shin-lung said the new arms would all be made domestically - although the US will probably remain an important parts and technology provider.

Taiwan has been keen to demonstrate it can defend itself, especially amid questions about whether Washington would come to its aid if China attacked.

The weapons Taiwan aims to buy include cruise missiles and warships, the ministry said.

Taiwan has already unveiled a class of highly agile stealth warships, which it refers to as an "aircraft carrier killer", and it's also developing its own submarines.

WW3 fears as Kim Jong-un warns of chilling new nuclear arms race over Australia sub deal… – The Sun

Posted: at 10:30 am

WORLD War Three fears are mounting after Kim Jong-un warned of a chilling new nuclear arms race over Australia's submarine pact with America and Britain.

The North Korean dictator slammed the "double standards" of the United States and vowed to retaliate after Joe Biden signed a historic deal to build Australia's first nuclear submarine fleet.

3

3

3

Kim said the pact was an "extremely" dangerous move which would destroy the security balance in the Asia-Pacific and set off a terrifying nuclear arms race.

According to the official KCNA news agency, North Korea's foreign ministry said: "These are extremely undesirable and dangerous acts which will upset the strategic balance in the Asia-Pacific region and trigger off a chain of nuclear arms race."

The ministry said North Korea was closely examining the deal and vowed counter-measures if it has "even a little adverse impact on the security of our country".

The rogue state suspended its testing of nuclear bombs and intercontinental-range ballistic missiles in 2018 when Kim held talks with former President Donald Trump.

The nuclear negotiations between Washington and Pyongyang have stalled since the collapse of a second Trump-Kim meeting in 2019.

But North Korea has continued testing shorter range weapons, threatening South Korea and Japan in a bid to pressure the Biden administration over the stalled diplomacy.

And last week, Kim unveiled the country's latest missile launch system - from a train.

The state announced it had tested its "railway-borne missile system" with warheads flying 497 miles before striking a target in the sea.

Kim is also said to be accelerating his bid for nuclear war after satellite pictures suggested he is "ramping up his production of uranium".

The show of strength came as the historic new military partnership between Britain, America and Australia was unveiled last week.

Dubbed AUKUS, the alliance will see the three powers cooperate on building Australia's first nuclear submarine fleet of at least eight vessels.

The pact between Britain, America and Australia is seen as a direct response to thegrowing threat posed by China in the Indian and Pacific oceans.

China hit back and slammed Britain and America for "aggravating an arms race", while warning Australia will become a "potential target for a nuclear strike".

The Communist regimes Washington DC embassy spokesman Liu Pengyu accused the nations of adopting a "Cold War mentality" like the terrifying nuke stand-off between the US and the Soviet Union in the 20th century.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the agreement "seriously undermines regional peace and stability and intensifies the arms race".

He said: "The export of highly sensitive nuclear submarine technology by the United States and Britain to Australia once again proves that they use nuclear exports as a tool of geopolitical games and adopt double standards, which is extremely irresponsible."

He added that the deal gave regional countries "reason to question Australia's sincerity in abiding by its nuclear non-proliferation commitments".

He urged the Western allies to "abandon their outdated Cold War zero-sum thinking" or risk "shooting themselves in the foot".

The alliance is seen as a bid to offset the Beijing's growing economic and military reach in the Asia-Pacific region.

Asian superpowers are pouring billions into new aircraft carriers, submarines and state-of-the-art missile systems in a frightening display of military might.

China alone has ploughed an extra 1.35 trillion yuan (151 billion) into military spending this year - a modest 6.8 per cent increase - as it seeks to extend its claim over territory in the South China Sea.

The agreement seriously undermines regional peace and stability and intensifies the arms race.

The rising superpower also boasts of having DF-26 missiles that could knock out targets across South East Asia with deadly precision and speed.

It is busy building "at least 250 long range missile silos" in three locations sparking fears a new nuclear arms race is underway.

A third missile silo field in a remote area in Inner Mongolia has reportedly been photographed by a European Space Agency satellite as Beijing launches its largest ever nuke expansion.

Peter Jennings, head of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute think tank, said Australia's decision to acquire nuclear submarines was a response to this.

He said: "We should call the first submarine in this new category the Xi Jinping, because no person is more responsible for Australia going down this track than the current leader of the Chinese Communist Party."

And last Wednesday, South Korea became the first non-nuclear nation to fire ballistic missiles from a submarine, hours after North Korea launched theirs.

In the same week, Fumio Kishida, the man tipped to be Japan's next prime minister, said his nation should acquire preemptive military kit such as fighter jets or missiles that can take out enemy missiles on the ground before they've launched.

WW3 fears as China ramps up island invasion war games and Taiwan develops new carrier killer warship… – The US Sun

Posted: September 12, 2021 at 9:54 am

WORLD War Three fears are mounting as China has been ramping up island invasion war games - while Taiwan has been developing a new carrier killer warship.

China regards Taiwan as part of its territory and has long threatened to use force to bring it under its control.

2

2

This year Beijing has worryingly been ramping up naval drills to test their ability to seize an Island.

In the first half of 2021, China carried out 20 exercises involving island capture - compared to just 13 in the whole of 2020.

And now Chinas Maritime Administration has announced that an area in the west of the Leizhou Peninsula will be cordoned off to traffic on Thursday and Friday, because of live-fire exercises.

It comes after China flew 19 nuke bombers and fighter jets into Taiwan air space on Sunday.

Meanwhile Taiwans president oversaw the commissioning of a new warship yesterday amid heightened tensions.

The ship - nicknamed the carrier killer - is designed to have air defense capabilities and can carry anti-ship missiles.

Taipei has been complaining for more than a year about repeated missions by China's air force near the island.

Earlier this year, China vowed to invade Taiwan and offered a glimpse of a terrifying three-stage plan to pave the way for an invasion force to storm the breakaway island.

Any invasion would mark a serious escalation of hostilities and could drag in the US through its pact to defend Taiwan.

Tensions have been bubbling in the seas around China for months where the US and Japan are reported to have been holding joint military exercises amid fears of a possible conflict.

In July, China staged massive military drills including assault landings and island-control exercises in a bid to demonstrate the communist state's military might over Taiwan.

China has described its war games as necessary to protect the country's sovereignty and deal with "collusion" between Taipei and Washington.

And fears of conflict are mounting after Taiwan's defence ministry last week warned China's armed forces could "paralyse" its defences.

It comes just weeks after China sent 11 warplanes into Taiwan's airspace during war games - threatening "immediate" invasion.

The six fighter jets, two bombers and three surveillance aircraft flew into Taiwans air defence identification zone.

And in June, China sent 28 military jets into the air space - the largest incursion reported by Taiwan to date.

WW3 fears grow as Taiwan plans biggest ever war game to prepare for China attack – Daily Star

Posted: August 11, 2021 at 12:19 pm

Taiwan is set to hold its largest ever war games exercise in a bid to test out whether it is ready for a potential conflict with China.

Tensions in the region are rising, with China claiming sovereignty over the self-ruled island. It has also sparked tensions between China and western nations.

Taiwan's live-fire military exercise will involve all branches of the force and will be staged for five days from September 13.

It will feature simultaneous air, sea and land drills as tensions ramp up, the South China Morning Post reports.

Major General Lin Wen-huang, director of the defence ministry's operations and planning office, said: "A test of emergency take-offs and landings of fighter jets on the Jiadong wartime runway - a major element of the exercise - will be conducted as planned."

Warplanes will for the first time test emergency take-offs and landings, while the drill will simulate a scenario in which Taiwan's military and civilian airports are seriously damaged by enemy fire, leading to jets landing on the highway.

Ministry spokesman Major General Shih Shun-wen declined to comments on reports that Japan planned to deploy missile units on Ishigaki Island, just 300km off the coast of Taiwan, to counter China's growing naval presence in the area and defend against a potential Chinese attack.

General Shih said: "We will do our best to ensure our combat readiness and safeguard our national security.

"We will also work with like-minded countries to continue to strengthen military exchanges and cooperation in order to increase our defence capability and ensure stability in the Taiwan Strait and peace in the region."

War fears are growing with tensions over Taiwan rising during 2021.

Taiwan has been self-governing since just after the Second World War, but China has sought to assert sovereignty over the island this year to mark the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party.

Last month China's president Xi Jinping warned foreign nations will "get their heads bashed bloody" if they attempt to interfere with the country's plans for Taiwan.

He reaffirmed the country's "unbreakable commitment" to unifying Taiwan, adding he would "fulfil the Chinese dream of great national rejuvenation".

The US and Japan have both been critical of China's plans for Taiwan.

Cardinal Health report spotlights solutions to optimize and improve safety in the healthcare supply chain

Today Cardinal Health WaveMark Supply Management & Workflow Solutions released a whitepaper outlining how automated solutions can mitigate supply chain operational issues, with a focus on inventory management. Using data from health systems that currently use Wavemark, the whitepaper provides a look at how the business improved key health system metrics and outcomes. The whitepaper and an infographic highlighting top data are available for download here: https://ww3.cardinalhealth.com/l/104412/2021-07-06/5df9bk.

According to the findings, supply chain costs are at an all-time high with hospitals on average spending $12.1 million annually unnecessarily, including on product inventory that expires before it can be used.

This is significant hospitals and health systems are simply spending too much on their supply chain when an automated and clinically integrated workflow solution could mitigate these costs, decrease product wasted and improve patient safety, said Shawn McBride, vice president and general manager, WaveMark. The pandemic especially exposed the need for tech-enabled supply chain innovations, like WaveMark, that provide better visibility to medical inventory at the point-of-care.

Inventory management efficiencies are vital to allowing healthcare staff fighting COVID-19 to focus more time on patient care instead of product stocking decisions. Yet, according to the report, many hospitals and health systems are still manually tracking inventory identified as one of the root causes for a never event, in which an expired or recalled product is used on a patient. Approximately 7 to 10 percent of clinical products expire on hospital shelves before being used and more than 25 percent of hospital staff know of an instance where an expired or recalled product was used on a patient.

Using a solution like Wavemark optimizes product stocking decisions and provides visibility to at-risk inventory which significantly reduces the number of expired products sitting on shelves and, at times, being used on patients, McBride said. Our customers use Wavemark to track products all the way from manufacturer to the point of patient care and are reporting an average of only 1.5 percent expirations on shelves an 85-percent improvement over industry average.

These manual processes can also lead to underbilled patient care. Nearly 90 percent of patient cases are underbilled in some form, leading to more than $1.94 billion of revenue leakage for hospitals each year. In 2020, Wavemark tracked nearly 600,000 encounters in operating rooms and interventional suites throughout the U.S. with a near-perfect documentation accuracy of 99.8 percent, identifying an additional 8,500 clinically important, high-value products that werent documented at the point of care. This tracking enabled the average hospital to capture $7.7 million in supplies and an additional $65,000 to $212,000 in product charges that would have otherwise been lost.

The opportunity for hospitals to regain some of this missed revenue is significant, but without supply visibility, you cant identify problem areas that are costing you money, McBride said. A solution like Wavemark helps diagnose causes of supply issues and improves utilization and SKU management all resulting in major cost efficiencies and decreased revenue leakage. It also takes one more layer of distraction off our essential hospital staff so they can focus on what matters most: their patients.

About WaveMark Supply Management & Workflow Solutions WaveMark empowers teams to work together to enable better patient care by connecting healthcare providers and manufacturers to create clinically integrated, digitally automated supply chains. Aligned with industry best practices, WaveMark supports an optimized supply chain strategy with service and technology offerings that help support more effective patient care at the lowest operational cost. With WaveMark, clinicians and supply chain teams gain the freedom to focus on what matters most, which includes enhancing the patient experience, increasing enterprise visibility to supplies, supporting clinical documentation accuracy, and enhancing the overall value of the supply chain.

Biggest US Navy war games in 40 years to prepare for WW3 across 17 times zones amid tensions with Russia,… – The US Sun

Posted: August 9, 2021 at 9:06 am

THOUSANDS of Marines and sailors are taking part in the US Navy's largest war games in 40 years as Washington "prepares" for a future world war amid rising tensions with Russia and China.

Fleets began the Large Scale Exercise on Tuesday and the drills across 17 time zones will continue until August 16.

5

5

Forces will participate in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and the exercises are designed to show the US' "readiness" for a potential global conflict.

Marines ability to conduct operations in difficult environments will be tested during the drills, according to Military.com.

US 6th Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Gene Black said: LSE will test our commanders across the spectrum of naval warfare from the tactical to the strategic, integrating the Marine Corps to demonstrate the worldwide fleets ability to conduct coordinated operations from the open ocean to the littoral.

But it remains unknown if China and Russia will pay attention to the wargames or if they will be interpreted as an act of aggression.

Its thought that 36 ships and more than 50 virtual units will take part in the mission alongside military and civilians, according to the Defense Post.

The drill marks a return to similar Cold War exercises that were seen during the 1980s.

The war games come as threats posed by China and Russia do not seem to be disappearing.

American officials fear that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan is closer than we think.

Taiwan broke away from China in 1949 but the Chinese ruling party regards the island as a "renegade state" and has repeatedly vowed to take it back by force if necessary by 2050.

Washington has pursued a strategy of strategic ambiguity where it has persuaded pro-separatist Taiwanese forces not to declare independence while deterring Beijing not to seize the island by force.

Its thought that the formal declaration of independence would be the likely trigger for a potential conflict.

Beijing continues to stage war games off the coast of the island in what is widely seen as a dress rehearsal for an invasion.

Navy vessels have intensified drills in the Taiwan Strait and aircraft carriers regularly stalk US vessels in the South China Sea.

Military expert Du Wenlong said that US' attempts to stall a potential military invasion would result in failure.

We are capable of detecting any underwater, above-water, airborne enemy and, if required, carry out an unpreventable strike against it."

Meanwhile, Russian leader Vladimir Putin continues to boast that his hypersonic missiles can deliver an unpreventable strike against Moscow's enemies.

Putin's warning came after Moscow claimed it had fired warning shots in the path of the British warship HMS Defender to chase it out of Crimea.

Speaking at a parade of warships in St Petersburg, he said: The Russian navy today has everything it needs to guarantee the protection of our country and our national interests.

"We are capable of detecting any underwater, above-water, airborne enemy and, if required, carry out an unpreventable strike against it."

Last week, Moscow warned of an inadvertent conflict if the US pushed ahead with the deployment of long-range hypersonic rockets in Europe.

A tweet from the Embassy's official Twitter account read: We would like to remind @PentagonPressSec that the potential deployment of any [American flag] hypersonic [missile] in Europe would be extremely destabilizing.

"Their short flight time would leave [Russian flag] little to no decision time and raise the likelihood of inadvertent conflict."

Washington warned it's checking Russia's "destabilizing activities" in the region as a British destroyer came under fire from jets.

Moscow continues to boast that it has the most modern and deadliest military in the world as tensions with NATO members continue to spiral.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said its state-of-the-art arsenal is now a far cry fromthe days when the Kremlin used to put tin cans on parade.

MiG-31 and Su-35 fighter jets were scrambled to escort three US Air Force B-52H strategic bombers after they were allegedly approaching Russian airspace over neutral waters.

Shoigu said Russia had the highest level of modernized weaponry in the world.

In May, Putin vowed to defend Russia against threats from the West during a celebration to mark the end of the Second World War.

In the huge parade, there were12,018 troops and 191 pieces of military hardware, including intercontinental ballistic missile launchers.

Wartime T-34 tanks were on display and cutting-edge weaponry was paraded as Moscow symbolized its military might.

WW3 fears Russia is planning a final test of supersonic nuclear weapons, warning NATO is "causing a conflict" with the Black Sea wargame -…

Posted: at 9:06 am

Three fears have been fueled as World War III Russia accused NATO of causing conflict with the Black Sea war game.

The Moscow warning is in the midst of planning a final test of Vladimir Putins feared hypersonic nuclear weapon (a deadly weapon at 15,880 mph).

Five

Moscow is proud that its new weapons can evade the US defense shield and destroy areas as large as England and Wales, or Texas.

Russia today confirmed that a new deadly hypersonic 208-ton Satan-2 intercontinental ballistic missile flight test is about to begin.

The surprise announcement came a few days after more than 2,000 troops and 30 ships, including the United Kingdom, participated in the NATO exercise Breeze 2021 in the Black Sea.

The first test of a 5th generation silo-based liquid propellant intercontinental ballistic missile (called RS-28 Sarmat, but Satan-2 in the west) will be Autumn.

And by the end of this year, the second test will start.

The missiles new promotional video shows a poster from the West boasting that Salmat doesnt need a visa.

Weapons at 15,880 mph will be the largest modernized nuclear weapon in Vladimirputin after a state trial.

If successful, the Salmat missile will help strengthen Russias defenses soon next year.

Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said: [will begin] This year, it is scheduled to be completed in 2022.

In 2022, the first batch should be commissioned with the Strategic Rocket Force.

According to the Russians, the weapon can deliver multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) warheads (weighing up to 10 tonnes) anywhere in the world, flying both the North Pole and the South Pole. increase.

Izvestia reported that it has the ability to use orbits and unpredictable routes that substantially prevent their destruction even by advanced missile defense systems.

According to the designer, it is possible to bypass the missile defense system and fly on an unpredictable route.

Sarmat can also fly over the North and South Pole and approach the target from directions where interception is not expected.

Shoygu made a test announcement while visiting Krasmash, which is based in Krasnoyarsk. Class Mash plans to mass produce a new Salmat strategic missile system.

He was accompanied by Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos.

Putins close ally, Shoygu, said, We have seen Krasmash ready to fulfill the long-term contract for the Salmat missile, one of the most formidable weapons we should have. rice field.

The Black Sea is strategically important to NATO.

Nato spokesman Piers Casalet

The launch is expected to take place from an underground silo at the Plesetsk Space Center in northwestern Russia, meeting Kamchatkas goal on the countrys Pacific coast.

One test can be done over a maximum range of 11,200 miles.

In previous footage, invincible hypersonic weapons emerged from silos, paused as if they were floating on the ground, and speeding up toward the target in a cloud of white smoke.

Todays announcement is in the midst of heightened tensions between Russia and the West.

Putin was angry after Bulgaria led a large-scale maritime exercise that ended on July 19.

14 NATO allies and partners from Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States were involved in the Black Sea mission.

The Black Sea is strategically important to NATO.

The alliance continues to focus on the security of the Black Sea, said Deputy Spokesman Pierce Casalet.

NATO has increased its presence in the Black Sea since Russia annexed Crimea illegally and illegally.

Nato vessels operate routinely in the Black Sea in accordance with international law and typically patrol the waters for about two-thirds of the year.

However, Yuri Piripson, the fourth European director of the Moscow Ministry, told Leah Novosti on Thursday:

It is very clear that this kind oftrainingdoes rather than prevents conflict situations.

We have repeatedly warned that the spread of military and political conflicts at the border entails conflicting responsibilities.

His warning is issued after a Russian hypersonic nuclear submarine has submerged more than 500 meters in the Atlantic Ocean after performing an ominous deep penetration mission.

And on August 2, Sun Online reported that Moscow had accused the United States of extremely dangerous threats of using force against Putins fighters over the Black Sea.

Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko counterattacked after the top US Admiral appeared to be seducing us to shoot us first in the turmoil of Moscows NATO ships by low-flying Air Force fighters.

There is a continuing verbal war between Russia and the West, and there is fear that future major conflicts may be resolved in space.

WW3 fears as China boasts US would have no chance stopping invasion of Taiwan… – The US Sun

Posted: July 25, 2021 at 3:47 pm

THERE are fears WW3 could be closer than previously thought after China boasts that the US would have "no chance" of stopping an invasion of Taiwan.

Du Wenlong, a military expert at China's Military Culture Society, said US efforts to stall a potential military invasion of the island would end in failure.

5

5

5

Asked if a potential military strike on Taiwan could be thwarted by the US, Wenlong said his country's forces would arrive on the island "in a very short amount of time", effectively giving American troops "no chance to intervene in a Taiwan Strait conflict".

The warning comes as tensions rise in the seas around China where the US and Japan are reported to have been holding joint military exercises.

The US also recently signed a $2.2bn (1.8bn) weapons deal with Taipei to beef up its defences, angering Beijing, and has vowed to continue its freedom of navigation tours in the South China Sea.

In response, China is holding a mammoth six-day war games drill some 135 nautical miles north of Taiwan.

China considers the island as one of its own and has previously vowed to invade if it the self-governing statelet declared independence.

Wenlong told China's state-controlled broadcaster CCTV that "before US forces arrive, we will have completed all our combat tasks" in the event of an invasion.

"The current drills a short distance away [from Taiwan] could be considered a routine exercise, but I think they're specially targeted [at Taiwan]," Wenlong continued.

He said the exercises were a "serious warning" to Taiwan to stop military engagements with the US.

President Xi Jinping has pledged a "complete reunification" with Taiwan when he delivered a speech to mark 100 years of the Chinese Communist party.

The war of words continued on Monday when China threatened to nuke Japan if it intervened in any such conflict.

The communist republic said that it would declare "full-scale war" against Japan - mere days before the Olympics are set to kick off in Tokyo - if the Taiwan disagreement escalates.

Any invasion would represent a serious escalation of hostilities and could drag in the US through its pact to defend Taiwan.

Washingtons regional allies such as South Korea, Japan and Australia could also be sucked into a conflict as would Nato forces such as the UK because the US is a member of the alliance.

But a video channel, allegedly approved by the Chinese Communist Party with close ties to the Peoples Liberation Army, took the anger to the next level.

In the new video now deleted, a narrator said: We will use nuclear bombs first. We will use nuclear bombs continuously.

"We will do this until Japan declares unconditional surrender for the second time.

When we liberate Taiwan, if Japan dares to intervene by force even if it only deploys one soldier, one plane or one ship we will not only return fire but also wage full-scale war against Japan itself.

Japanese Deputy Prime Minister Taro Asosaid his troops would "defend Taiwan, under our alliance with the US".

The latest military drills comes as the US continues to conduct freedom of navigation operations in the region.

Last week, China claims it "drove away" a US warship that "illegally" entered disputed waters as its military accused Joe Biden of "provocative actions".

The USS Benfold entered contested waters in the South China Sea near the Paracel Islands on Monday - whichBeijingclaims as its territory.

The southern theatre of command of the People's Liberation Army says the destroyer entered the area without China's approval, violating its sovereignty and undermining the stability of the South China Sea.

"We urge theUnited Statesto immediately stop such provocative actions," it said in a statement.

It comes five years after the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague ruled that China had no historic claim over the South China Sea - which Beijing said it would ignore.

The islands are claimed by China, Taiwan and Vietnam, which require either permission or advance notification before a military vessel passes through.

An article in China's state-controlled publication has offered a glimpse of a terrifying three-stage plan to invade Taiwan.

The first stage would see DF-16 short-range ballistic missile attacks pulverising airports, early warning radar, anti-air missile bases, and command centres across the island.

The article states: "The attacks against Taiwans airports would continue until [Chinese] surface troops had accomplished an assault landing."

Following this Chinas H-6 bombers and J-16 fighter jets would attack naval ports, although the facilities would not be "completely destroyed" so the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) could use them for a landing.

In the second stage, the article states YJ-91 and CJ-10 cruise missiles would be unleashed from land, warships and submarines.

Military bases, ammunition depots, communications infrastructure and key road junctions would be crippled.

Drones would then be dispatched to assess the damage.

Finally, the article said warships and land-based rocket forces would wipe-out any remaining obstacles so the military's marine corps and amphibious landing troops would safely land.

This was the second time the publication has outlined a scenario for an attack on Taiwan.

Last year it detailed how an assault on the islands defence systems could occur to coincide with the start of the independence-leaning president Tsai Ing-wens second term.

WW3 fears as China threatens to NUKE Japan on eve of Olympics if it intervenes in Taiwan conflict… – The US Sun

CHINA is threatening to NUKE Japan on the eve of the Olympics if it intervenes in conflict with Taiwan, it has been revealed in a new video.

The communist republic said that it would declare "full-scale war" against Japan if the Taiwan disagreement escalates, stoking World War Three fears.

It comes after earlier this month, China vowed to invade Taiwan and explained how it would do it.

An article in a state-controlled publication offered a glimpse of a terrifying three-stage plan to pave the way for an invasion force to storm the breakaway island.

President Xi Jinping pledged a "complete reunification" with Taiwan as he delivered a speech to mark 100 years of the Chinese Communist party.

Any invasion would represent a serious escalation of hostilities and could drag in the US through its pact to defend Taiwan.

Washingtons regional allies such as South Korea, Japan and Australia could also be sucked into a conflict as would Nato forces such as the UK because the US is a member of the alliance.

But a video channel, allegedly approved by the Chinese Communist Party with close ties to the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA), took the anger to the next level.

Japanese Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso has said: We must defend Taiwan, under our alliance with the US.

And Defence Minister Yasuhide Nakayama added Japan and the US must protect Taiwan as a democratic country.

To which a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, Zhao Lijian, retorted at a press briefing last week: We will never allow anyone to intervene in the Taiwan question in any way."

At the weekend, it called on Beijing to abandon its no first-use nuclear weapons policy.

In 1964, when our first atomic bomb was successfully detonated, we promised the world that we would not use atomic weapons against non-nuclear countries, and we would not be the first to use them, the narrator recites.

Nearly 60 years have passed. Now the international situation has changed dramatically.

"Our country is in the midst of a major change. And all political policies, tactics and strategies must be adjusted to protect the peaceful rise of our country.

It is necessary to make limited adjustments to our nuclear policy.

The first five-minute clip was published on Sunday and a second, longer version went online a day later.

Both were deleted Wednesday after being reposted by Communist Party officials after attracting millions of views, tens of thousands of patriotic comments as well as international attention.

But it was reposted on Twitter by Chinese-born human rights activist Jennifer Zeng, with some users questioning its authenticity.

Last year, the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) released a recruitment video following an H-6K strategic bomber as it simulated a strike on the US territory of Guam.

According to Jennifer Zeng, the publishing channel Wisdom & Strategies for 6 Armies either belongs (to the) PLA or has strong connections, citing business news reports of its ownership and financial links.

How women-hating incels are plotting WW3 so men can take back society as part of their twisted beliefs… – The US Sun

Posted: at 3:47 pm

TWISTED incels have called for World War 3 so men can "take back society" from "feminism and degeneracy", troubling posts online show.

The term incel means involuntary celibate and refers to a dark online community of mostly young male virgins who despise women and canonize mass murderers.

Internet forums dedicated to the troubled thoughts of these individuals often contain misogyny, racism and openly discuss acts of violence against women.

Incel-related violence has been linked to at least 53 deaths in recent years, statistics show, and one of the most popular incel forums, some members of the community have called for wide-scale bloodshed to help "reset" society.

"It's no secret that western society (so far, it's likely that other the rest of the world will be feminist soon as well [sic]) has been ruined by feminism and all sorts of degeneracy," one incel recently posted to a forum.

"Men, especially straight white men are vilified and get no respect. Everything is blamed on the 'evil' patriarchy. Lots of men are brainwashed into believe [sic] the whole women being oppressed narrative."

The user continued that women are "ungrateful to men" who "build and made the US and in general the west so powerful."

"And things will only get worse. We have had it too easy in the west so people in the past few decades ... became focused on dumb s**t like feminism.

"We need real problems, maybe WW3 or something else that is devastating so people grow up and appreciate men again."

A host of other incels agreed, with some fantasizing how such a war would play out.

"Don't worry, it'll happen," one wrote. "Mad max style s**t is on its way. I for one look forward to it. Here in Canada, most people are p**sies so fighting to the death will be too easy."

The troubling remarks come as experts warn that inceldom is on the rise, particularly in the US, with more lonely young men subscribing to the group's twisted beliefs than ever before.

Dr. Josh Roose, a Senior Research Fellow at Deakin University in Australia, told The Sun that the concerning increase can be attributed to a number of factors, including the "deepening of socio-economic inequality" in Western society and the emergence of social media.

"The emergence of Incel ideological currents, which may be understood as part of a broader movement (male supremacism), has paralleled the emergence of the alt- and far-right," Roose said.

11

He added that websites such as 4Chan, Reddit, and YouTube have been in the development of these communities.

"Instagram and Tinder [also] play an unwitting role in these developments," Roose added. "To Incels, the platforms substantiate their claims that women are only interested in attractive men."

Michael Haplin, an assistant professor of Sociology at Dalhousie University, agreed, adding: "Take Tinder for instance. On Tinder, it tends to be very difficult for men who are short to get matches.

"This is one of the things incels talk about, it's called 'lookism', and they believe - in a distorted way - that they're victimized by it."

The incel community tends to be self-reinforcing and self-radicalizing, with members believing that their looks or personal traits have condemned them to a lifetime of loneliness.

Incels have also developed elaborate and deeply misogynistic theories to blame others for their plight, centered on the idea that women are stupid, shallow-minded, and intrinsically cruel.

They sometimes call women "sluts" or "whores" but most commonly refer to them as "femoids," "foids" or even "female humanoid organisms" in other words, not quite human.

This radical ideology is often referred to as "black pill" thinking.

"Some incels have moved beyond red pill thinking, which in their vernacular, enables them to see the harsh truth of the world (as opposed to blue pill blissful ignorance)," Roose explains.

"Black Pill thinking is fatalistic. Incels embracing black pill thinking assert that there is no possibility of circumventing female prejudice attached to physical attractiveness (lookism) and status."

11

At the top of the incel hierarchy are the most attractive men, who are referred to as "Chads."

Incels believe that roughly 20 percent of the population is made up of Chads but about 80 percent of women are only interested in men of this class.

Stacy, the incel term for the most attractive women, will only consent to sex with Chad, as the thinking goes.

The bottom 20 percent of women will consent to sex with the vast majority of men who fall somewhere in the middle of the attractiveness tier - referred to as "normies" - while incels are at the bottom of the pile, and therefore destined for a life of sexless solitude.

When quizzed as to why incels only vilify women rather than "Chads", Haplin explained: "Part of the reason is that they admire Chads, they want to be the Chads, and they acknowledge that.

"They want what Chads have which is, what they deem to be, unlimited sexual access to women.

"The reason that they hate women is that they see them as the ones who could end or resolve their incel status."

Roose calls the incel way of thinking "incredibly dangerous", and says anti-women extremism needs to be taken seriously.

Back in May of this year, the Texas Department of Public Safety released a report that designated incels "an emerging domestic terrorism threat."

While the majority of incels are non-violent, Roose says a "minority of incels actively target women in online forums for harassment, abuse and threats of violence."

He adds an incel's deep-seated misogyny can also shape their actions both online and offline.

"We have seen a dramatic escalation in Incel-related attacks targeting women, which some studies suggest have killed over 50 women in the past decade.

"Incel manifestos, in particular, reveal the devastating potential should they be successful in enacting even a small portion of their plans."

In May 2014, 22-year-old Elliot Rodger killed six people and injured 14 in a stabbing and shooting spree in Isla Vista, California before turning the gun on himself.

The son of a Hollywood filmmaker, Rodger posted a "retribution" video to YouTube and emailed a manifesto to more than two dozen people he knew before carrying out the massacre, calling for a "war on women."

11

11

The 141-page document details his life of privilege, his upbringing, his mental health, and his deep-rooted loathing of women, fuelled by an intense frustration over his virginity.

Within it, he described himself as the "ideal magnificent gentleman" and said he couldn't comprehend why a woman would not want to have sex with him.

All I had ever wanted was to love women, but their behavior has only earned my hatred, he wrote. I want to have sex with them, and make them feel good, but they would be disgusted at the prospect. They have no sexual attraction towards me.

He planned his murderous rampage as a "Day of Retribution" and said he had "no choice but to exact revenge on the society" that had "denied" him sex and love.

He added that he planned to target sorority members at his college who had been deemed the "hottest", and who were the "kind of girls I've always desired but was never able to have.

In closing, he wrote: "I am the true victim in all of this. I am the good guy."

Rodger never referred to himself as an incel in the manifesto, but the members of the community have since fastened upon the document.

The gunman is viewed as a hero among some incels, with his actions even inspiring similar attacks and plots in the years afterward.

The most infamous mass shooting inspired by Rodger's actions was carried out byAlek Minassian, 25, who killed 10 people when he plowed through pedestrians in a rented van in Toronto, Canada in April 2018.

In a disturbing Facebook post, before the massacre, Minassian said an Incel Rebellion has begun while also praising Rodger as a Supreme Gentlemen.

He later investigators he had set out to kill as many people as possible and that he drew inspiration fromboth Rodger and from the wider incel community.

11

11

Asked by investigators how he felt about the harm he had caused, the attacker replied: "I feel like I accomplished my mission".

Earlier this week, Rodger once again emerged as the inspiration behind a mass casualty plot, this time in Ohio, that was foiled by police before any harm was caused.

Tres Genco, 21, plotted to slaughter up to 3,000 sorority girls out of "hatred, jealousy and revenge" at an unnamed university, prosecutors claim.

Genco allegedly said that carried out surveillance on sororities and other college buildings, and penned a sick manifesto detailing how he planned to carry out the shooting.

The twisted plot came after years of him posting on incel message boards and idolizing Rodger, prosecutors said.

In one passage of his manifesto, Genco claimed to have sprayed" some foids and couples" with orange juice and a water gun.

Genco allegedly compared his extremely empowering action to Rodger.

Rodger also once sprayed orange juice on students before carrying out his own sickening ramage.

Haplin says there is a number among the incel community who "take a joy" in seeing those who aren't incels murdered, and they're "happy" when an assailant like Rodger carries out an attack.

What drives them to commit violent acts themselves, Haplin says, is that "these type of people ... probably have a need for attention themselves."

Acts of "male supremacist violence" are increasing across the spectrum, Roose says, including among men's rights activist groups.

"The factors driving the re-emergence of the far-right and conspiracy movements are the same driving the increase in individuals attracted to inceldom," he explains.

"Economic decline, the erosion of traditional gender-based roles, a sense of powerlessness and victimhood are combining with ready access to online communities who just a decade or two ago would have never found one another.

11

11

"These online environments are highly performative and have a force multiplier effect on extremist views."

Similarly to Roose, former New York Times journalist Andrew L. Yarrow describes millennial men as the new lost boys" in his book, Man Out: Men on the Sidelines of American Life.

In the book, Yarrow points out that as many as one in three Americans aged between 18 and 34 are either unemployed, living at home, or living near or at the poverty line.

Women, meanwhile, are surging ahead, out-enrolling men in universities and colleges across the country.

The "uncertainty" about their place in the world is leading men to spiking levels of anxiety and depression, Yarrow says.

It is from this profound sense of isolation and uncertainty that extremist views can often be adopted, both Roose and Haplin say.

The threat incels pose will likely never go away entirely, Roose believes.

"Every time an online forum is shut down, those dedicated to these communities reorganize and regroup elsewhere," he said.

However, the group being designated a domestic terror threat "should mean that those most likely to conduct some form of a terrorist act are on the radar of authorities and are consequently prevented from such acts if they start to plan or prepare for them."

11

More broadly speaking, Roose says lawmakers across the partisan divide must come together pass legislation that specifically and proactively targets online abuse and harassment of women.

"To this end, social media companies need to be far more proactive in preventing the publication of abuse, harassment, and threats on their platforms," he said.

Haplin also warned that he expects incel-linked acts of violence to become more common in the years ahead, particularly after a global pandemic, which drove more people online and forced some to spend more time alone.

"I fully expect it to become more common," he said. "We've been looking at a number of discussion boards for quite a while and the number of people who are very comfortable endorsing or celebrating violence is much higher than expected."

"I think it's, it's only a matter of time before there's the next kind of mass casualty event that is attributed to an incel," he continued.

"I think people should be taking them very seriously, in terms of threatening mass shooting or murders.

"I definitely don't think it as a stretch of the imagination that we will see more shootings. And I won't be surprised if it's seen at higher rates [than ever before]."
