Is it Possible to Win by Counting Cards in Blackjack? – GISuser.com

Posted: December 10, 2021 at 6:49 pm

Over 50 years ago, blackjack card counting became popular. In the beginning, most casinos had trouble dealing with successful card counters. Nevertheless, theyve spent the previous several decades studying this benefit play (AP) method and learning how to combat it. Casinos have implemented new decks, implemented destructive rules, and learned how to spot APs.

Even technological know-how is available to the industry these days. Facial recognition science and databases are used to find APs and store their data, respectively.

Casinos seem to have a massive side to this game of cat and mouse. Some blackjack players believe that counting cards is pointless because of this.

The reality, however, is that card counting, and table-based benefit gambling remain as popular as ever. The reason for this will be discussed, along with what you can do to win a fortune now.

Consider Strategy Deviations Based on the Count

You can further increase your winning if you know when to deviate from the applicable method completely based on the count. In card counting, the most important principle is to bet more if the deck is rich in aces and tens. At this point, the odds of getting a herbal blackjack go up significantly.

Furthermore, counting cards allows you to know when there are more high cards than low cards (favoring the dealer). Low cards are advantageous to dealers who draw a challenging or gentle 17 since they are less likely to bust out. Before playing for real money, it is a good idea to go to OnlineCasinos.net. The website has an excellent free card counting game, where you can practice blackjack card counting online.

Counting doesnt have to involve these deviations of your approach all the time. In fact, doing so can give you an even bigger advantage.

You Can Still Win with the Right Approach

You can win through card counting on your own if youre knowledgeable enough. But you should reflect on including more layers to your strategy in the structure of shuffle tracking, distinctive appearances, and more.

Shuffle Tracking on Top of Counting

Shuffle monitoring is combined with card counting to capitalize on susceptible shuffles. It can also result in less scrutiny from the pit boss and surveillance.

This method calls on you to seem to be for possibilities where aces and 10s are grouped together. We prefer to comply with these card batches, as theyre positioned into the discard tray.

Once the shoe has been dealt, the supplier pulls playing cards out of the discard tray and commences shuffling.

You continue visually tracking the slugs as the croupier shuffles. If the dealer uses a one pass shuffle, you can effectively hire this method and determine where the slug would possibly come out at some point of the next shoe.

Assuming youve completed a proper job at tracking the slug, you can elevate your bets once the slug cards start coming out.

Shuffle tracking accomplishes two major goals:

It offers you a greater benefit by assisting you with song aces and 10s.

It masks your counting efforts.

Regarding the latter, increasing your bets toward the end of the shoe is a big signal that you might also be counting. Youre more in all likely to decide that the deck is rich in high cards at this point. With shuffle tracking, though, you can precisely discover a slug of desirable cards. If this slug is formerly in the shoe, then you can additionally unfold your bets in the past too.

Switch up Your Appearance

You can hit the casino multiple instances within a year or even a month by altering your look. Different appearances make it more difficult for playing venues to recognize you after more than one warm night. You dont necessarily have to wear disguises. In fact, flamboyant appearances can attract unwanted attention from the pit boss.

A higher format is to barely alter your appearance. You can go unshaven with glasses one time, for example, then be clean-shaven the next.

Know Where to Count Cards

Some of the best US casinos are more tolerant than others when monitoring advantage players. Ideally, youll play at gambling establishments that offer you the benefit of the doubt. Every online casino has its limits regarding APs. The first-class diagram is to look up casinos in advance of time and choose those with popularity for being lenient.

Stay on the Move

The worst thing you can do as a gain gambler is proceed with hitting the identical casino once more and again. One large session can draw attention from the pit boss and surveillance. You choose to remain on the pass and proceed traveling from online casino to casino. This exercise is plenty simpler in fundamental gambling destinations, such as Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

Assuming youre accurate enough and have a massive bankroll, you could possibly even think about enjoying it in a number of states. This way, you keep away from growing the AP stigma in a single gambling destination.

Last but not least

Hollywood presents card counting as a much more difficult task than it really is. See the documentary: The True Story of The MIT Blackjack Team Card Counting

If you practice enough and strengthen the appropriate skills, you can earn money through counting. Despite this, card counting is more relevant than ever. APs are stealing cash from casinos despite having modern technology and highly trained employees.

Of course, counting cards is also tougher than at any point. The fantastic APs counter this via enhancing their capabilities even more. Some of the things that you can do to improve your income encompass shuffle tracking, altering your appearance, researching casinos, and staying on the move. The greater layers you throw on top of your card counting approach, the more money you stand to win.

Keep in mind that blackjack can be addictive and you can end up losing a lot money, so play safe.

From the moment you enter a casino, a thousand strategic choicesfrom the sounds of slot machines designed to disguise losses as wins to the perfumed air, which, for one Vegas casino, increased slot machine revenue by 45%have been made to keep you playing, and to keep you just hopeful enough to keep paying. It would be bad business for casinos to bankrupt players on a single hand or pull of a lever, intentionally. And for every dangled carrot that a player eventually grasps, the house has already ensured theyve earned it back somewhere else.

So how do you ever truly get the upper hand against a system that is mathematically designedwhat is known as the house edgeto prevent you from doing so? Well, some people have tried cheating. Theres card counting (which is technically not illegal, according to federal, state, and local laws), card switching, card marking, dice sliding, dealer bribing, and good old-fashioned peeking (or hole carding). But to even have an advantage by cheating, you must play every hand perfectly, like the infamous MIT blackjack team. Determined to beat the house with even more complex mathif just theoretically, for nowresearchers at MIT are studying whether quantum entanglement can give players an advantage at the blackjack table.

For the average person without a quantum computer or the skills to count cards flawlessly, any attempt at cheating is almost always noticed, monitored, and in some scenarios, permitted, says data scientist Jeff Jonas. And he should knowhe developed the programs casinos use to detect even the subtlest hints of fraud. NORA, or Non-Obvious Relationship Awareness, is a software program of Jonas creation, which uses available data to sleuth out connections like whether a dealer and a player are related, live in proximity to one another, or if a casino employee has any connections to known criminals. Any edge that the house hasnt already secured through tamperproof mathematics, theyve accounted for through surveillance.

So, if you cant gain an advantage by playing by the rules or even by breaking the rules, whats left to do? Any level-headed person would tell you to reset your expectations or avoid the casinos completely. Some people throughout history have decided they simply werent going to play the game at all. Instead, they chose to rob them blind.

Casino heists are the ultimate underdog stories, and as such, it is a favorite subgenre in film. While Hollywood has given us its own edge-of-your-seat, romanticized take on the topic, the reality is arguably more dramatic and more impressive when one considers how unlikely success is. OLBG compiled a list of the 10 biggest casino heists ranging from Oceans 11-style complexity to stunning simplicity.

How To Beat The 21+3 Blackjack Side Bet – Casino.Org News

Posted: December 7, 2021 at 5:38 am

21+3 was first introduced in Las Vegas in 2001 and has grown to become one of the worlds most popular side bets in the past 20 years.

If youve ever wondered how to play or what tolook for in a good 21+3 game, weve got you covered.

The dealer will deal you your first two cardsand then turn over their upcard.

If your first two cards and the dealers topcard make a straight, a flush, or a three of a kind, youve won!

One of the reasons for its popularity is that its so easy to play.

The bet is placed in a small circle off to the side of the main wager, which is why its called a side bet.

Either online or in a land-based casino, you should be able to find the bet for as low as $1, although in some places like Las Vegas, you may only see it for $5 and up.

In the original game now owned by GalaxyGaming and found on land-based blackjack tables worldwide a straight, flush,or three of a kind was paid a simple 9 to 1.

But as online casinos flourished and other companies saw the potential, the pay tables evolved.

Some games now pay a progressive jackpot on things like three aces suited, or perhaps 270 to 1 for a three of a kind suited.

The critical thing to remember is that theyall play basically the same. Your first two cards and the dealers top cardneed to combine to make a winning hand.

Several of the online providers offer different payouts depending on the hand dealt.

The most common of these is this payout table from IGT, which has a 4.14 percent house edge with a six-deck shoe.

Or the very similar payout from Evolution Gaming which has a 3.62 percent house edge with a six-deck shoe.

The very popular top three side bet oftenaccompanies the 21+3 side bet since they are both owned by Galaxy and marketedtogether to casinos.

It requires that you bet both the 21+3bet and the top three bet. Then if your two cards and the dealers up card area three of a kind, youre paid 90 to 1.

A straight flush gets you a 180 to 1, andthree of a kind suited gets you 270 to 1. You also get your 9 to 1 payout onyour regular 21+3 bet.

The house advantage on just the top threebet is approximately 9 percent.

The number of decks in play can influence the houseadvantage by a few tenths of a point on your blackjack hand.

But the house advantage on your 21+3 bet canchange by several whole percentage points depending on the number of decks inplay.

The original 21+3 offered up by Shufflemasterat casinos across Europe, America and Asia is a prime example.

Heres the paytable from 1-8 decks:

The casinos advantage is more than twice asmuch if you play the 21+3 side bet on the double-deck game vs. an eight-deckshoe.

Even on the IGT and Evolution payout tablesdiscussed above, the difference between a six-deck shoe and an eight-deck shoeis almost a whole percentage point.

So this game is best played with everypayout paying 9 to 1 and on an eight-deck shoe.

Failing that, look for as many decks aspossible, with one of these pay tables preferably.

While a lower house edge is always a betterbet, can the game be beaten?

Eliot Jacobson, a table games hacker of sorts, showed that a simple count of suits was enough to beat the game, albeit with avery low expected return and a high degree of difficulty.

But as many casinos went to progressive pay tables with three ace of spades or something similar, many individuals and teams realized they could look for progressive payouts that were large enough to give the player the advantage.

In these very limited cases, the mathematicalpendulum had swung to favor the player as the size of the jackpot grew tooffset the slight house advantage.

So it never hurts to keep an eye out for largeprogressive meters when scouting for a 21+3 table.

Conversely, small jackpots on theseprogressive games may mean that you are playing at a much worse house advantagethan you would be just playing on a conventional game, so beware.

21+3 is a simple, fun side bet, which, ifyoure careful, doesnt have to have a huge house advantage.

It can add a lot of excitement for just a $1 or $5 bet, and it gets the whole table pulling together in a way that blackjack doesnt always.

Thats the reason its been around for twodecades and will probably be around for at least two more.

Mind For Numbers? Try Out These Games – The Citizen

Posted: at 5:38 am

For some of us the mere memory of math class is enough to send shivers down our spine, but for others numbers are fascinating. They are a way for us to find order in a chaotic world, a way to tap into the logical side of our minds, numbers can be brilliant. If any of this resonates with you, then as you probably already know, you have a mind for numbers. There are lots of ways that you can exercise this part of your brain, but arguably the most fun way is through number games. These are some of those games that you might enjoy.

Blackjack

Blackjack requires quick mental math skills

The rules to this game are really simple and you only need two people to play, or if you're on your own then you can always play online. The game begins with each player being dealt two cards, you take a look at your cards and add them up. You want your cards to add up to as close to 21 as possible, without going over. If your cards are close then you can choose to stick and see what the dealer has in their hand. If your cards are further away then you can twist and get another card until you're close enough to 21, or you go bust. Blackjack is the perfect game for those who are lightning fast at mental maths. Algebra might not be your strong point, but if you can add up to 21 then you've got what's necessary to do well at this game. If you want to play online then looking for a bonus is a good way to make sure that your play money goes as far as possible. They're easy to find as long as you're happy to sign up to a new site to play.

2048

If you're after a mobile game that you can pull out in any dull moment then 2048 is a great one. The beauty of this game is in its simplicity, your numbers simply double until you can't anymore. You'll start with a selection of tiles with the number 2 on them. If you slide the tiles together they'll multiply to make 4. The same will happen with your tiles marked 4, they'll multiply together to make 16. Additional tiles will add every round, so it's up to you to make sure that you can always make a path for like tiles to meet one another. If you make it all the way to 2048 then you'll have beaten the game, but in all honesty, if you can make it to the tile before then you'll have done well!

Sudoku

One of the original fascinating numbers games, sudoku is easy to find anywhere. You can play online, on your mobile, in a dedicated sudoku book, or even in the back of most newspapers. For those who've never played before, the idea is simple. You start off with a 3x3 square, filled with 9 more individual 3x3 squares. Within each row and column, you can only place the numbers 1-9 once each. The same rule applies within each of the small 3x3 squares. In the beginning, there'll be some numbers already filled in for you to get you started. Depending on how much of a challenge you want your game to be, there'll be more numbers (easier) or fewer numbers (harder). You can pick up whole puzzle books of these games for just a couple of dollars which are usually pocket-sized so you can carry them around with you.

Andrew Zimmern Went To Charlize Theron’s Party And We Have FOMO – Mashed

Posted: at 5:38 am

A holiday party with gambling, famous guests, delicious food, and more? Yes, please. Andrew Zimmern, known as Chefaz on Instagram, raved about the FOMO-inducing holiday party hosted by Charlize Theron he went to over the weekend. The famous chef and food show host said, "And you throw the best parties, too! Insane food, blackjack, craps, roulette, best photo booth ever, shot luge, Michael Bolton, that cake...and your huge heart."

The picture in the post, which features Theron flashing a peace sign with her arm around a smirking Zimmern, seemed to be a particular point of either praise, jealousy, or some combination of both. The professional level lighting on display in the snap is on point, or maybe everyone just looks fantastic when basking in the glow of Charlize Theron. Author Dan Buettner even chimed in with a cheeky comment, seemingly aimed at Zimmern, that said what we're all thinking: "You're looking a little too smug."

Other commenters praised Zimmern's beard and applauded Theron's charity work and down-to-earth personality. Comments on Michael Bolton being thrown into the list of party favors show mixed reviews. Whether you like the flute-playing icon or not, there was a shot luge and cake, folks! It seems that all party-goers had a great time, and those who didn't attend at least got some hot tips for their own holiday festivities.

Movies to watch out for: The Card Counter (2021): but don’t bet on it – Pattaya Mail

Posted: at 5:38 am

Poker-face takes on a new meaning.

If you ever wanted to win in the casino, theres some useful advice here. Roulette is the game which offers you the best chance betting on red or black. If you win the first time, just walk away. If you lose, also walk away. The main character William, played by Oscar Isaac, also reminds you that you have to count the cards already played if you want to win at Blackjack.Strangely, William Tell (his actual surname is Tillich) isnt really interested in cards at all. He served a long prison sentence in the US for being a guard in Abu Ghraib, the infamous torture center in Iraq used by the Americans after the fall of Saddam Hussein. He learned the arts of cards to pass the time and, with nothing to do after his release, turned these skills into a career of sorts.

William is a low key gambler because he doesnt want to be thrown out of casinos for card counting. Hes a loner, always on the move, a man of habit. He stays in cheap motels where he assiduously covers all the furniture with white sheets and takes down any pictures on the wall. This oddity is never explained, but likely reflects his preference for bare rooms. Probably its a reminder of prison cells in the USA or torture chambers in Iraq.

Despite his under the radar approach, two people notice him. La Linda (Tiffany Haddish) sees his potential and attempts to recruit him to her stable of gamblers. Then theres Cirk (Tye Sheridan), a high school dropout who hopes to persuade him to seek revenge on a mutual enemy. Instead, William invites Cirk to join him on the casino circuit. The plot to kill the mutual enemy goes haywire.

But the plot isnt the point and writer and director Paul Schrader knows it. The film is about one mans struggle with his own demons and is strongly in the tradition of Martin Scorseses psychological movies. Just think of Taxi Driver (the cabbie), Light Sleeper (the coke slinger), First Reformed (the godless minister) or American Gigolo (the male prostitute). The Card Counter is about struggling with your own secrets rather than cashing in on the fact that three sevens can beat a Blackjack.

This Russian writer tells his readers how to become a professional roulette player and generate income from it. The book deals with the mechanics of the wheel: you can trace certain patterns in the dropout of numbers.

The headline contains the words of world poker legend Stu Ungar Your worst poker enemy is you.

Today it is widely believed that books are hopelessly outdated and there is no point in reading them. This is not entirely true: books will be a good starting point for most beginners. We also recommend reading less popular today but exciting books like Mollys Game by Molly Bloom or Casino Royale by Ian Fleming. They contain both interesting stories and tips on how to beat a casino.

The Most Famous Players in The NBA Who Are Fond of Gambling – Market Research Telecast

Posted: at 5:38 am

The connection between professional athletes is well established. The simple fact is that rich athletes are very fond of gambling. Whether it is because they have too much money, their competitive nature, their personality, or some combination of those factors, we often hear about some famous athletes that have lost a small fortune gambling. NBA players are no exception from this rule and over the years, the league has had its fair share of scandals involving its top stars and gambling.

Charles Barkley is known as perhaps the best basketball player that has never won an NBA championship. In terms of gambling, he is also regarded as the player that has lost the most money gambling. According to his own estimates, he lost between $10 and 15 million dollars in the last 30 years. These mind-boggling numbers prove two things. First, regardless of how much he enjoys gambling and betting, Barkley isnt very good at either. Second, he doesnt know when to quit. Interestingly, Barkley never denied that he is losing staggering amounts of money on his gambling activities, but always claimed that it isnt a problem, as he can easily afford it. His record is losing $2.5 million in a single sitting at a blackjack table. He was also on the receiving end of a lawsuit filed by Wynn Las Vegas casino for not paying a $400,000 marker in 2008.

The former 2001 NBA MVP, Alan Iverson, has made more than $200 million just from team contracts in his career. Thanks to his gambling escapades, he came perilously close to losing it all several times. Iverson enjoyed playing all sorts of gambling games, including poker, blackjack, and slots. He also had a passion for sports betting but was infamous for being a sore loser. His outbursts after losing have led him to be kicked out and even banned from several casinos. His most infamous incident happened in 2004 at Ballys Atlantic City casino, when he urinated in a trash can and was promptly banned from ever entering the casino ever again. In those days, online casinos were just getting started, so Iverson didnt have an option to easily compare and find a new casino like we have today. A ban was permanent and even served as a sort of a wake-up call for the former Philadelphia 76ers star player.

Antoine Walker is probably the most tragic cautionary tale in modern NBA. The former NCAA champion with Kentucky, Walker was drafted 6th by the Boston Celtics in the 1996 NBA Draft. His career was off to a great start. He led Boston in scoring in his rookie year and made the All-Rookie First Team. Two years later, Walker and Pierce led Boston to the teams first playoff appearance in seven years. They reached the Eastern Conference Finals before being eliminated by the New Jersey Nets in six games. Walker made it to the All-Star Team. However, his gambling addiction was already affecting his career and Boston traded him to Dallas, which promptly sent him to Atlanta. He changed teams several times and retired in 2012. Just two years later, he filed for bankruptcy, having blown through an estimated $108 million of his career earnings.

His Airness is perhaps the biggest gambler that has ever played in the NBA. His exploits are legendary and stories about his gambling still resurface today, decades after he stopped playing basketball. Jordan claimed that gambling never affected him adversely because he was rich and that it was simply a consequence of his competitive nature. Whether it is true or not, Jordans gambling issues have taken a toll on his personal wife and perhaps even his career.
