Oklahoma State at Baylor odds, picks and prediction – USA TODAY Sportsbook Wire

The Oklahoma State Cowboys (8-7, 1-3 Big 12) and No. 1 Baylor Bears (15-1, 3-1) clash in a Big 12 showdown Saturday at 5 p.m. ET at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas. Below, we look at the Oklahoma State vs. Baylor odds and linesand make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.
Rankings courtesy of theFerris Mowers Coaches Pollpowered by USA TODAY Sports.
Oklahoma State has dropped two straight games and six of its last eight. And this game in Waco closes out a beat of a meat-grinder travel week for the Cowboys. OSU lost at West Virginia Tuesday and Texas Tech Thursday. The Cowboys shot 36.0% over those twin setbacks; they have shot just 36.4% over their last five games.
The Bears are coming off their first loss of the season. Baylor lost to Texas Tech in a 65-62 battle on Tuesday. The 62 points points scored by BU marked just the second game this season the Big 12s second-leading offense (81.5 points per game) had been held under 65 points.

Baylor 80, Oklahoma State 65
Baylor is a slight lean against the number, but PASS on the big outright tag.
The road team is 14-3-2 ATS in the last 19 meetings between the Cowboys and Bears. And the OSU side might be a lot more palatable had Baylor not lost on Tuesday. But the Cowboys are 0-5 ATS in their last five road games and have had a hard week of traveling.
Look for the Bears to come out strong in this one. Baylor should be able to leverage the extra Oklahoma State turnover or two to get into three-possession territory by halftime. The overall number to reach here is a tall order, but the Bears have the offensive edge in spades and their defense is suffocating.
There is room for an OSU back-door cover, but the overall slight lean is on BAYLOR -13.5 (-115).
The Over is 7-1 in BUs last eight games following a straight-up loss, and its 5-1-1 in the Bears last seven games overall.
The overall pace for this one should be about fastest-third. Look for the Bears to pile up some runs and for OSU to get enough garbage-time, no-foul, speed buckets to give this game a better edge on the Over.
BACK THE OVER 141.5 (-112).

Antifa Member Arrested With Explosives in Florida – The Lid
Posted: at 8:23 am
Florida Antifa is making trouble in numerous places, from Florida to Texas. On Thursday in Pinellas County, an Antifa member arrested on Jan 6 with live explosives in his backpack also was found to have gear associated with Antifa and a direct action checklist. A rally was held in support of a Jan 6, 2021 participant named Jeremy Brown near where he was arrested. Brown is being held in the Pinellas County jail on federal charges. It is unclear whether the Antifa member arrested was planning to attack the rally, but that would be in keeping with Antifa goals. Antifa member arrested with explosives
According to Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri at apress conference, Garrett James Smith, 22, ran away from the rally area when Pinellas County deputies saw him at around 7:30 p.m. He was arrested nearby as he was wearing all black clothing and a black backpack. Upon searching the backpack incident to his arrest, deputies found an explosive device inside. They notified the Hillsborough County bomb squad, who determined the device was active. They searched his car, which contained numerous M-80 fireworks. It is unclear what caused Smith to bolt from the rally area. The Antifa member arrested also recently went to Portland, Oregon, where large numbers of Antifa reside. Antifa member arrested with explosives.
The Sheriffs deputies then obtained a search warrant for Smiths home, where they found another pipe explosive device, nails, and several hand grenade-type devices in his bedroom.

The Antifa member arrested refused to speak with deputies, which is also in keeping with Antifa practices. He is held in the Pinellas County jail on a $300,250 bond.
Smith has no criminal history, no social media accounts that we can find, and theres no prior intelligence information about Smith. Smith is what we call a sleeper, and these are the most concerning individuals because theres no opportunity to intervene and thwart their criminal activity until they actually act. Were fortunate in this situation that something caused Smith to flee before he ignited the explosive device and the deputies were able to apprehend him.
Sheriff Gualtieri
Though the Sheriff stated they had no idea what Smiths motives were or what political persuasion he was, for those who know what Antifa is and who they attack, we can assume he was there to harm the rally participants. Why did he run? Good question.

Antifa militants arrested, charged for physically …
Posted: at 8:23 am
You've heard all the gaslighting rhetoric protecting Antifa militants who do the violent, dirty work of the political left: that the black-clad goons are "an idea, not an organization" and even a "myth," despite mountains of evidence to the contrary.
Well, let's turn our attention to San Diego prosecutors, who on Monday charged multiple Antifa militants with conspiracy to commit a riot, saying they physically attacked supporters of former President Donald Trump in January, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
The kicker? A criminal complaint said the arrestees "are self-identified to be affiliated with Anti-fascists or Antifa" and began organizing themselves into San Diego- and Los Angeles-based groups a week before a pro-Trump "Patriot March" on Jan. 9, the paper said.
Pretty nifty trick for "an idea, not an organization" and a "myth."
The office of District Attorney Summer Stephan, citing video evidence, said that "overwhelmingly the violence in this incident was perpetrated by the Antifa affiliates and was not a mutual fray with both sides crossing out of lawful First Amendment expression into riot and violence, the Union-Tribune said.
Those arraigned in San Diego Superior Court were with a group arrested Thursday in raids by police officers and sheriffs deputies across Southern California, the Union-Tribune reported.
The complaint said the defendants launched their criminal conspiracy by liking and sharing a Jan. 2 social media post that called for a counterprotest against the pro-Trump rally, in essence agreeing to take part in the direct action. Others agreed by showing up in Pacific Beach on January 9th, 2021 and participating in the violence described in the complaint, the paper added, citing prosecutors.
The Antifa faithful were accused of using pepper spray, small flagpoles, sticks, and other tools to attack the pro-Trump group, the Union-Tribune said, adding that several attacks noted in the complaint appear to match incidents recorded and shared online, such as an Antifa militant pepper-spraying a dog and its owner.

Prosecutors said the aforementioned act was carried out by Jeremy Jonathan White, 39, who remained jailed Monday in lieu of $200,000 bail, the paper said.
White faces charges of conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon, use of tear gas not in self-defense, and animal cruelty, the Union-Tribune added.

Videographer Sean Carmitchel recorded Antifa attacking people with pepper spray, sticks, a wooden folding chair, punches, and kicks assaults prosecutors described in the complaint, the paper said.
For a bit of comic relief, here are a couple of images showing an undernourished Antifa tough guy momentarily emerging from the protection of his comrades to do what we've seen hundreds of times before targeting a victim from behind and throwing like a pansy:

In addition to White accused of pepper-spraying the dog and owner the Union-Tribune, citing the district attorney's office, named the other arraigned individuals as Luis Francisco Mora, 30; Joseph Austin Gaskins, 21; Faraz Martin Talab, 27; Bryan Rivera, 21; Brian Lightfoot, 25; and Jesse Merel Cannon, 31.
The paper said Alexander Akridge-Jacobs, 31; Christian Martinez, 23; and Samuel Howard Ogden, 24, also face charges, according to a DA's office spokesperson.
In addition, a $250,000 arrest warrant has been issued for Erich Louis Yach, 37, the Union-Tribune reported, citing the DA's office and county Sheriffs Department records.

DC Antifa Member Blames Capitalism After They’re Unable To …
Posted: at 8:23 am
Last night members of the identitarian group Patriot Front marched on the U.S. Capitol, but had apparently kept their intentions secret, leaving the Antifa members of Washington, D.C. unable to organize into black bloc mobs and repel them with force. At least one Antifa member blamed capitalism after they were unable to mount an effective response.
According to Antifa expert Andy Ngo, Twitter accounts associated with Antifa used a tactic called cyber swarming to immediately mobilize large groups of comrades to swarm (i.e., attack) a target at the national mall in D.C.
The far-right rally was not pre-announced so #antifa were unable to organize a counter direct action ahead of time, wrote Ngo. One account blames capitalism for this.
The account in question, called DC Youth Liberation Front, complained that living in DC is f**king hard because people have jobs. The apparent Antifa member complained, You forget that were just regular people trying to live under capitalism.
The target of Antifas attempt to cyber swarm was apparently the Patriot Front march that went viral last night. The organization apparently separated from another group called Vanguard America after the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The group has been accused of holding racist beliefs, and has been associated with the definition of alt right popularized by the media.
Video shows a small number of apparent Antifa members hurling insults toward the Patriot Front marchers and the police charged with protecting them.
One man repeatedly hurled insults that seemed to be directed at the police officers rather than Patriot Front members.
F**king traitors, youre a f**king disgrace, you traitors, the man shouted as the marchers passed, escorted by police officers on bicycles. F**king traitors. Hide behind your wall you f**king traitors. F**king disgusting.
According to the Patriot Fronts self-described manifesto, its mission is a hard reset on the United States, and a return to the traditions and virtues of our forefathers.
The manifesto warns that Our national way of life faces complete annihilation as our culture and heritage are attacked from all sides, and suggests that Americans are on the threshold of becoming a conquered people.
The manifesto also includes a quote about race from 30th President Calvin Coolidge and suggests that the United States government no longer serves the interests of the descendants of its creators.

WACO, Texas In December at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, former President Trump speaks. Outside the arena is a small group of supporters.
Some we spoke with say they believe in conspiracy theories, some believe the election was stolen and others don't trust the government.
What is QAnon?
QAnon believes that America is run by a group of pedophiles and Satan-worshippers who run a global child sex-trafficking operation. They believe former President Trump is the only person who can stop them.
The QAnon movement dates to October 2017 and supposedly comes from a 'high-ranking government official' who posted cryptic clues on 4chan and the even more unfettered site 8chan under the name "Q."
One in five Americans said they believe in the theories according to a recent poll from the Public Religion Research Institute.
"I am a proud Q patriot," said Mickey Larson Olson.
Nick Bradshaw
Olson who retired from the Air force is dressed from head to toe in red, white, and blue. She's outside a event in Dallas where Donald Trump spoke.
She believes that President Joe Biden is really not in office. Instead it's Actors James Woods and Arthur Roberts.
"I'm fighting for what God wanted for people all across the world," said Larson.
While at the event a group dressed in all black came up during our interview with Larson. A argument broke out about the COVID-19 vaccine.
"Where is Q? Where is JFK junior," one man dressed in black started demanding.
On the date that John F. Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas. Thousands stood waiting for the presidents son to appear. John F. Kennedy Jr. died over 22 years ago. The thought was he would appear and that he would become Vice President to former President Trump.
Families arguing over Q beliefs
"My family doesn't want to see the truth, I post stuff and send them stuff and they don't want to look at it, that's on them," said Larson.
On Reddit, there is a group called QAnon Casualties.
People who are struggling with loved ones that have Q beliefs post.

Story after story of families fighting because of different belief systems.
"Families not speaking to each other and not inviting them over for the holidays," said Dr. Jennifer R. Mercieca, Texas A&M professor,Department of Communication.
Dr. Mercieca studies communication when it comes to politics.
"What we have seen over the five, ten years even, with social media, we all have the ability to set the agenda," said Dr. Mercieca.
She says what's difficult about those who believe in conspiracy theories, it's not always easy to reason with them.
"Conspiracy theory is incredibility dangerous because it's a self sealing narrative and logic can not penetrate it," said Dr. Mercieca.
Once the theory is out there it's not easy to change peoples minds.
"Once it takes hold in a community it's hard to make it go away," said Dr. Mercieca.
Politicians and Q Beliefs
AP
Over 40 candidates who publicly supported QAnon beliefs are running for national office in 2022, according to a tally by the liberal advocacy group Media Matters.
Five are from Texas.
Twelve are from Florida, nine are from California, three are from New York, New Jersey, and Arizona, two each are from Nevada, Illinois, and Ohio, and there is one each from Maryland, Rhode Island, Oregon, Tennessee, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Vermont, Alaska, Georgia, and Colorado.
The politicians have been knows to use the Q hashtags, post beliefs, and Jake Armstrong has pictures of himself at the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Americans justify violence for political beliefs
A Washington Post poll was published with alarming numbers when it comes to Americans believing violence is justified when it comes to politics.
23% of Democrats believe it's justified Compared to 41% of Republicans. For those who claim to be Independent, the number is 40%.
"Yes, we should be able to fight, that's what Americans do, it's time for us to remember that," said Larson.

QAnon is not the only movement and Law Enforcement Divided
FBI calls QAnon a domestic terrorist threat. ANTIFA hasn't received the title.
In 2020, FBI Director Christopher Wray argued that Antifa is more of an ideology than an organization.

"So at what point does our federal government step up and declare that organizations like ANTIFA must be shut down?" said Sgt. Nancy M. Dowdy (ret.) "Some American cities are overrun with these antifacist groups, and many of these fractured communities are essentially declaring themselves independent of the federal government."

When protest took place in over 140 cities after the death of George Floyd, Then president Donald Trump wanted to label Antifa as a terrorist group. On May 31, 2020, he tweeted,The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization.

"Many Antifa sympathizers do not support violence as the onlyor even the maininstrument to oppose fascism, they do view violence as a legitimate option," According to CSIS

What to do if a love one believes in conspiracy theories or if politics damage relationships.
Karen Douglas, PhD, is a professor of social psychology at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom said in a podcast with American Psychological Association says giving people the facts is the best.
"In some of our own research, we've actually found that it's quite effective to provide people with factual information, provide people with the facts," said Douglas.
"And this was particularly about vaccines before they're exposed to conspiracy theories, and then the conspiracy theory fails to gain traction."

Artificial Intelligence in Cardiology | AER
Posted: at 8:22 am
In October 2020, for a previous editorial in this journal, the term artificial intelligence was searched in the National Library of Medicine via PubMed. At that time, the search yielded 110,855 publications.1 It is remarkable that performing that same search only a year later yields almost 28,500 further citations, with the total now as of 2 October 2021 being 139,304 publications. The potential impact of artificial intelligence (AI) has been realised by even its staunchest critics, and the possibility of a wonder thinking machine, the Master Algorithm as computer scientist Pedro Domingo called it, is no longer just science fiction.2
Despite the recent explosion of interest in AI, the reality is that progress has been moving along for at least 180 years. The first published algorithm ever specifically tailored for implementation on a computer was published by Ada Lovelace the disciple of Charles Babbage and daughter of the great philhellene Lord Byron in 1843. Today, philosophers and futurists such as Nick Bostrom and Ray Kurzweil speak not of AI, but of superintelligence, far exceeding the capacity and might of the human brain.3 After all, Gary Kasparov did lose at chess to IBMs Deep Blue.
For clinicians in particular electrophysiologists and arrhythmia experts the power of AI has become equally apparent. There is now emerging evidence that AI may support diagnostics in electrophysiology by automating common clinical tasks or aiding complex tasks using deep neural networks that are superior to currently implemented computerised algorithms.4 Soon, AI simulations of the circuit of monomorphic ventricular tachycardia may be used to guide catheter ablation, or even stereotactic radioablation for a vast number of patients.5 Combining data obtained from several diagnostic modalities using AI might elucidate pathophysiological mechanisms of new, rare, or idiopathic cardiac diseases, aid the early detection or targeted treatment of cardiovascular diseases or allow for screening of disorders currently not associated with the ECG.4
Is all this the future or just wishful thinking? Computer scientist and inventor Eric Larson has seriously challenged the notion of any supercomputer exceeding the human brain.6 This is not only a problem of Aristotelian deduction versus induction versus inference: it seems to be a matter of logistics too. Rebecca Goldin, writing for the Genetic Literacy Project in response to President Obamas 2013 announcement of a broad new research initiative to understand the human brain, provides perspective:7
The human brain is estimated to have approximately 86 billion neurons (8.6 x 1010), each neuron with possibly tens of thousands of synaptic connections; these little conversation sites are where neurons exchange information. In total, there are likely to be more than a hundred trillion neuronal synapses so a computer recording a simple binary piece of information about synapses, such as whether it fired in a time window or not, would require 100 terabytes. The amount of storage needed to store even this very simple information every second over the course of one day for one person would more than 100,000 terabytes, or 100 petabytes. Supercomputers these days hold about 10 petabytes. And this quick calculation doesnt account for the changes in connectivity and positioning of these synapses occurring over time. Counting how these connections change just after a good nights sleep or a class in mathematics amounts to a whopping figure (and many more bytes than the estimated 1080 atoms in the universe). The wiring problem seems intractable in its magnitude.
The evolution of quantum computers promises exponentially more computing power. Nevertheless, the fundamental problem remains: how can we imitate let alone supersede the human brain when we do not actually know how it works in all its complex, everchanging functions in the time domain? The concept of singularity, by connotation with the Big Bang and Stephen Hawkings quest for the unified theory of physics, has always been appealing to the human intellect. Whether this motivation results in a future human-made super-intelligent machine and what the consequences of such an endeavour would be, remain to be seen. Ian McEwans most recent book reminds us of this dilemma.8 To understand the importance of human complexity, in its simplest form, is perhaps illustrated by the case of the residents of Scunthorpe in northeast England who, in the late 1990s, could not make an AOL account owing to the companys profanity algorithm detecting a certain inappropriate word within the citys name! It is hard to teach an algorithm to contextualise like the human brain can.9
In contemporary medicine and especially clinical electrophysiology and arrhythmia management AI is promising, but in the context of continuous validation of its diagnostic and predictive accuracy. As stated in an elegant review in Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review, before the implementation of AI algorithms in clinical practice, trust in the algorithms must be established.4 Perhaps one day machines and supercomputers will exceed human intelligence. Until then, electrophysiologists must rely on the best computer known today: their brain. This is what creates superintelligence after all.

Are We Living in a Computer Simulation? Artificial Superintelligence Could Provide the Answer – BBN Times

Are We Living in a Computer Simulation? Artificial Superintelligence Could Provide the Answer
The advent of artificial superintelligence could play a key role in understanding the origins of humanity.
This is a question that has inspired many scientists from all around the world. Could we calculate our chances of being virtual creations of a higher intelligence?
Artificial superintelligence could play a major role in understanding the origins of humanity.
New research into machine algorithms is fueling the hypothesis that our reality may actually be a computer simulation.
The simulation hypothesis is the modern equivalent of an idea thats been around for a while, and it is the idea that the physical world that we live in, including the Earth and the rest of the physical universe, is actually part of a computer simulation.
Artificial intelligence (AI)is useful in physics and space exploration by processing satellite images as well as discovering other planets and galaxies. It can reduce the time required for initial mission design which otherwise takes many human work hours. AI can also help humans solve problems faster. In this manner, scientists can carry out effective and quicker inspections of our universe.
There are 3 types of artificial intelligence:
Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI), which has a limited range of capabilities
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), which has attributes that are on par with human capabilities
Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI), which has skills that surpass humans and can make them obsolete
University of Rochester
Given technological advances and the continuing evolution of our species, humans should be able to survive in the distant future.
There are lots of mysteries in physics that are better explained by the simulation hypothesis than by what would be a material hypothesis.
Here are the 7 biggest unanwered questions in physics:
1. What is matter made of?
2. Why is gravity so weird?
3. Why does time seem to flow only in one direction?
4. Where did all the antimatter go?
5. What happens in the gray zone between solid and liquid?
6. Can we find a unified theory of physics?
7. How did life evolve from nonliving matter?
The truth is that theres much we simply dont understand about our reality.
Getty Images | Blend Images
Long before Matrix and the novel Simulacron-3, which did much to popularize the concept of simulated realities in the collective mind, Plato with his masterpiece"Allegory of the Cave" had imprisoned ignorant men in a cave. There is no doubt that the idea that we are living in a simulation is appealing, but there are more questions that need to be answered. Two years ago, Herv Le Tellier even posed the question: "How, as a society, would we react to learning that we may be living in such a reality? "
In 2003, Oxford University philosopher Nick Bostrom published an article in which he imagined a technologically advanced civilization with immense computing power, a small part of which it could harness to simulate new realities harbouring conscious beings.
If we are probably living in a simulation, this is because there is a life form or divine entity smarter than us, capable of creating such a universe. Is it even possible? How do we know if our daily lives - and the universe more broadly - are not embodiments of a vast computer program?
For its first half-billion years, Earth was lifeless. Then life took hold, and it has thrived ever since.
Source: McKinsey & Company
Artificial intelligence is driving a new wave of economic progress, solving some of the worlds most difficult problems and providing solutions to some of the most profound challenges in human history.
Source: Future of Life Institute
The rise of superartificial intelligence in the future has the potential to transform many sectors such as information technology, science, biology, telecommunications, transportation, traffic management, health care, education, criminal justice, defence, banking and agriculture.
Future societies might, who knows, create simulations of their ancestors - that is, sentient human beings like us.
But, the fact that the simulated hypothesis necessarily contains a natural universe among the many simulated universes means that there would be a little less than a 50% chance that we lived in a computer simulation. If we come up with a little less than a 50% chance, it's because it's impossible to prove whether or not we are living in a simulation without our knowledge. Even if we were virtual beings, there is no tangible element to prove it.
Nobody can predict what the future will bring, but AI may ultimately help scientists find out more about the history and origins of humanity.

Making money when playing for example casino games online is something of an art form and one that not a lot of players manage to achieve.
However, over the years I have seen plenty of examples of gamblers using their skill to turn a small bankroll into a large one due to them having a deep understanding of odds and mathematical probabilities.
With that in mind in this article, I shall be looking at how, with a great deal of effort, it is possible to make sustained profits when gambling online, but just be aware not everybody who does gamble in any shape or form is going to walk away showing a profit.
Many online casinos at which you can play for real money are what I would call similar gambling sites, in as much as they tend to all offer the same types and categories of casino games.
But it is important to fully understand that each game will have its own built-in house edge and therefore some games have a much higher level of risk attached to them.
One of the lowest house edge games that you can play in any casino, whether that being an online, mobile, or even land-based brick and mortar casino is Blackjack, but there are quite a few different variants.
As such it is important that you learn the house edge of each variant of Blackjack you come across in the playing environment you are in, and then pick out the game to play which boasts the lowest house edge.
When it comes to playing Blackjack, you will need to put into play a perfect playing strategy, which dependent on your abilities may not take as long as you would imagine, much more so if you pick up a Blackjack strategy card of the variant you have chosen to play.
Believe it or not, it is possible to count cards when playing Blackjack at an online casino site, but you will need to play via the live gaming platforms to be able to do so, rather than playing the software-driven, random number generator-controlled casino gaming platforms.
The reason that is the case is that a live gaming platform offers players the ability to access a real-life gaming table from their computer and place bets and wagers onto that gaming table.
Once a bet has been placed on a live Blackjack game players can then watch in real-time via a live video stream the game then being played out, and as such, they are not at the mercy of a random number generator as they would be when accessing a standard online casinos gaming platform.
Each live casino game will offer different table stake limits, and as such, it is important that if you do fancy giving those games a try online, then you must select a table that suits your bankroll and your playing style.
Finally, let me move on to the subject of bonuses and comps. All casino sites want players to sign up and play regularly at their sites and on their apps, and as such, they will make available to players bonuses, including sign-up welcome bonuses and plenty of ongoing ones too.
As for just which, bonuses are the ones worth claiming and making full use of, they will always be the ones that come with the lowest possible play-through requirements and no maximum payout/cash-out caps attached to them.
Comps can and will vary too from casino to casino, so set about comparing the comp clubs and rewards schemes at several different sites and stick to playing at the ones that offer the most generous rewards programs to ensure you always get the maximum rewards from your real money gaming action.

Unusual herbs and spices could be the best kept secret when it comes to boosting ones longevity. From its anti-cancer properties, increased brain cognition and reduction risks for diabetes, could a certain herb be your best answer to helping increase your lifespan?
A study, published online in the peer reviewed journal, Rejuvenation Research found the plant Rhodiola rosea increased the lifespan of fruit fly populations.
The study found that flies that ate a diet rich in Rhodiola rosea lived an average of 10 percent longer than those not eating the herb.
"Although this study does not present clinical evidence that Rhodiola can extend human life, the finding that it does extend the lifespan of a model organism, combined with its known health benefits in humans, make this herb a promising candidate for further anti-aging research," study leader Mahtab Jafari of the University of California, Irvine, said in a statement.
"Our results reveal that Rhodiola is worthy of continued study, and we are now investigating why this herb works to increase lifespan."
Rhodiola is one of the best herbs when it comes to brain health and longevity benefits. This is because it plays a strong role in boosting mental recovery.
"We need to be able to flip into a system that is performing well, but we also need to be able to flip out of it and be in that rest and digest and neutral state," says plant-based expert Rachelle Robinett.
She adds that Rhodiola also helps inhibit the release of cortisol, which is supremely helpful because no shock here stress can be very detrimental to your brain health in chronic doses.
In a review of 36 animal studies, Rhodiola was found to improve both learning and memory function.
In another study involving nursing students, Rhodiola showed to help reduce both mental and physical fatigue after 42 days.
The students took 364mg daily of either Rhodiola or a placebo at the start of their wakeful period, followed with up to one additional capsule within the following four hours.
An animal study found that just a single dose of Rhodiola increased memory and had an antidepressant effect on mice.
It suggested that Rhodiola could become a good tool to increase cognition and counteract mood disorders in people.
People with diabetes commonly use insulin injections or medications that increase insulin sensitivity to better manage their blood sugar levels.
Interestingly, animal research suggests Rhodiola may help improve diabetes.
The salidroside compound in Rhodiola has been shown to help protect against diabetes and diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease) in rats.
