TMS To Host Solar Eclipse Watch Party on World’s Largest TV – Speedway Digest (press release) (blog)

Posted: August 20, 2017 at 6:22 pm

Texas Motor Speedway will celebrate the first total solar eclipse across the continental United States in 38 years with a watch party on the world's largest TV as well as a celestial-themed, pre-event luncheon for its entire staff.

Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage is throwing a solar eclipse bash in the speedway infield beginning at 12:30 p.m. CT Monday for his entire staff of more than 80 employees that will feature a variety of celestial-named delights. The staff will enjoy "Out Of This World" Dickey's BBQ sandwiches, Krispy Kreme limited-edition Solar Eclipse doughnuts, Moon Pies and Sun Chips among the treats for lunch at the Fuzzy's Taco Shop in the infield.

The speedway also has produced "No Limits" Solar Eclipse t-shirts and celestial snack packs that will be raffled off to the staff through solar eclipse trivia games at lunch. The packs consist of a Moon Pie, Eclipse Gum, Star Crunch, Cosmic Brownie, Milky Way, Starburst, Sun Chips and Satellite Wafers.

Each staff member also will receive Eclipse Shades for the option to watch the eclipse directly in addition to viewing it on Big Hoss TV with no special glasses needed. North Texas will see a partial solar eclipse - the moon will cover 76 percent of the sun's surface in Dallas/Fort Worth - with maximum viewing coming at 1:09 p.m.

While Texas Motor Speedway couldn't provide those highly sought-after Eclipse Shades from Denton's Orbit Press for the general public, the speedway will film the eclipse with a special camera filter from the grandstand rooftop and air it live of Big Hoss TV and Facebook Live.

Locally, Texas Motor Speedway will open its infield to the public to watch the eclipse on the colossal "Big Hoss TV" that stands 12 stories tall on the speedway's backstretch. "Big Hoss" is nearly 23,000 square feet of high-definition screen display that boasts 281 trillion colors and five million pixels. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized "Big Hoss" as the world's largest HDTV in 2014.

For those visiting, the South Infield Tunnel will be open to the public beginning at Noon CT. Parking will be available in the infield camping area in front of "Big Hoss" (Turns 2 & 3 side of the infield). Visitors can watch from the comfort of their vehicle or are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to watch from outside. The South Paddock concession restrooms also will be open.

For Texas Motor Speedway and solar eclipse fans across the state, country and the world, the speedway also will utilize Facebook Live on the speedway's page to broadcast the eclipse in North Texas beginning at 11:35 a.m.

Could this back-pain device end need for opioids? – The Columbus Dispatch

Posted: at 6:22 pm

JoAnne Viviano The Columbus Dispatch @JoAnneViviano

A new pain pellet that scientists are developing in Columbus isabout half the size of a grain of rice, but researchers say it delivers a big dose of relief that could one day help fight the opioid epidemic.

The tiny rod holds a nonaddictive painkiller that doctors could insert in the lower back, much like an epidural, to give a patient a break from chronic or acute pain, said Dr. Ali Rezai, director of the Neurological Institute at Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center. He would not reveal the painkiller, saying only that it is a drug that already has beenused successfully as a cardiovascular medication.

Goals includegiving physicians an alternative to the opioid-based pain medications that have led to addiction.

"We want to look at the opioid crisis," Rezai said. "We want to stop it at its root."

Supporters have formed a company, Sollis Therapeutics, to create the product and are now raising funds, said Dr. Greg Fiore, Sollis' chief executive officer. Fiore hails from Boston and is the founder of Fiore Healthcare Advisors, a scientific consulting firm. Rezai serves as scientific adviser to Sollis.

>> Join the conversation at Facebook.com/columbusdispatchand connect with us on Twitter @DispatchAlerts

A small trial of 55 people with sciatica pain in the lower back and legs showed that the pellet stopped pain for up to one year and was safe and easy to use,Fiore said. Researchers will next seek to perform a large clinical trial, hoping toconfirm effectiveness and safety. The trial will involve a broader group of peopleculled from pain centers across Ohio.

If efficacy and safety are proved, researchers would seek approval for the pellet from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. They hope to have the pellet in use within four or five years.

Sollis, headquartered in the University District, is the second company to be formed by the Neurotechnology Innovations Translator, which is funded by the Ohio Third Frontier Program. Both seek to move ideas from the lab to the marketplace.

Opioids are commonly used to treat chronic pain,Rezai said.

But the highly addictive nature of the medications, Fiore said, is a reason to find alternatives. Someone who takes opioids for a single day, for example, has a 6 percent chance of being addicted a year later.

"It's really important to avoid starting, even for legitimate conditions," he said. "It confers an increased risk for not being able to come off these drugs."

Along with medications, 11 million steroid injections are given each year to treat neck and back pain in the United States, Rezai said.Such injections might not work and, when they do, relief doesn'tlast long.

He wanted to bring the project to Ohio, and hopes are to eventually manufacture the pellets here.

"It's one of the ground zero states for the opioid crisis," Rezai said. "This is a big problem; it's just spiraling, so we want to find solutions quickly."

JaCoby Jones anxious to reclaim Tigers’ CF role – The Detroit News

Detroit This wasnt the script he envisioned. Especially not after he stole the starting center-field job out of spring training and then hit a home run in Chicago in his first at-bat of the season.

But, this is exactly the script the Tigers envisioned for JaCoby Jones.

This was the whole discussion in spring training, manager Brad Ausmus said. We thought he was our best center fielder and obviously you want to win at the Major League level. But whats best for JJ? Is it better for him to go down and get at-bats?

I guess it was a blend of those two trying to do whats best for the team and whats best for him. Not exactly how you plan it out, but we will see how it works in the long run.

Ausmus rips umps for protesting Kinsler's 'leniency'

Jones is back. After spending the better part of the last three months at Triple-A Toledo, he was in the starting lineup, in center field, Saturday. At the time he was recalled, it was just to fill the roster spot of pitcher Anibal Sanchez, who is on the disabled list.

Right now he is up in lieu of a starting pitcher, Ausmus said. We dont need one until Saturday. But we will see what the move is when we get there.

Which means Jones has a chance to earn an extended stay before rosters are expanded in September.

When I was up here earlier, I was struggling, scuffling a little bit, said Jones, who was 1-for-2 with a strikeout in Saturday's 3-0 loss. Strikeouts were coming in bunches. I wasnt helping the team offensively. My defense was there, but my offense it was a struggle.

They wanted me to go down there and work on my game, and thats what Ive been doing.

Jones struck out 19 times in 45 plate appearances in April, before getting hit in the jaw with a fastball against the Twins on April 22. When he came back nearly a month later, the strikeouts persisted seven in 12 plate appearances.

Ive just tried to be more disciplined at the plate, he said. The discipline is the biggest thing for me. Im always antsy, always trying to do everything, always wanting to hit every pitch, he said. Im still learning to be disciplined, to swing at pitches I can hit.

By rule, Tigers Upton could've had HR nullified

It took him a while to get going at Toledo, as well. He struck out 103 times in 388 plate appearances. But he also had nine home runs, 43 RBIs and stole 12 bases in 16 attempts.

I know my numbers down there arent those of a superstar player or anything like that, Jones said. But Ive felt good in the box.

In the last week, four games, he hit .375 (6-for-16) with 1.007 OPS, striking out four times in 19 plate appearances.

Everything happens for a reason and I think it was a good thing for me to go down there and get more at-bats and play every single day, Jones said. Up here, if I was struggling, I wouldve only played against left-handed pitching, probably only play once every three or four days. Playing every day down there, trying to find that groove was good for me.

If Jones figures it out offensively, Saturday could be a preview of the outfield alignment in 2018 Jones in center and Mikie Mahtook in right field. Or, if Justin Upton elects to opt out of the final three years of his contract with the Tigers, Mahtook could be the starting left fielder next season and perhaps Nick Castellanos would be the right fielder.

Time will tell.

Jones is probably our best defensive center fielder right now, Ausmus said. Mikie is a good center fielder, but I think he has a chance to be a really good corner outfielder.

First Ride Canyon Inflite CF SLX cross bike – VeloNews

Posted: at 6:21 pm

Canyons carbon Inflite CF SLX cyclocross bike balances high-speed stability with nimble handling for technical 'cross courses. Photo: Canyon

ZONHOVEN, Belgium (VN) Canyons carbon Inflite CF SLX cyclocross bike balances high-speed stability with nimble handling for a well-balanced ride on technical race courses. Its light (16.7 pounds size medium) and quick, and cross-specific details are sprinkled throughout, such asmud-shedding tube shapes and geometry that makes shouldering the bike easier and more secure.

About those aesthetics: Canyon departs from its hallmark straight lines and minimalistic design with an unusual dip at the top tube/seat tube junction. Its no doubt a jarring design cue. Canyon says the dipor is it a kink?was introduced to offer more compliance without sacrificing shouldering capabilities. The top tube is horizontal toward the front of the bike to keep the front triangle open and for easy shouldering. According to Canyon, thetop tube dips down at the seat tube junction to increase compliance. The lower junction provides more exposed seat post, which can flex and absorb bumps over choppy terrain. Canyon claims the bikes kinked top tubeadds up to 15% more compliance over a straight top tube design.

The kink also provides a secure nook for shouldering the bike, keeping it from jostling around when charging up steep run-ups or staircases. Its a comfortable position for carrying the bike but unfortunately doesnt do much to prevent that annoying carbon-on-shoulder blade discomfort that is endemic to cyclocross.

Canyon took a cue from mountain bike trends during the design phase of the Inflite CF SLX by pairing a long reach with a short stem. The size medium has a 562-millimeter top tube (393-millimeter reach) and comes with a 100-millimeter stem, which is 10-millimeters shorter than what comes with medium Canyon road bikes. This results in quick steering and makes easy work of tossing the bike in and out of tight cross corners.

The bikes zippy handling and 72.5-degree head tube angle pair nicely with a long 1018-millimeter wheelbase and 425-millimeter chainstays for a stable ride on fast and loose sections. Canyon designed a new cross-specific H31 Ergocockpit handlebar and stem combo that flares three degrees at the drops. This provides even more stability and leverage for technical riding, although it leaves you slightly more exposed to catching your bars on course tape.

Its the small details that make theInflite a success. It has ample mud clearance for sloppy races, and the frame itself was designed to prevent mud build-up: Canyon used fewer shelves and contours in areas of the frame known for collecting mud.

The Inflites water bottle bosses sit low on the front triangle, making it easier to shoulder the bike even with a bottle cage installed. All cables are routed internally and all cable entry and exit ports are sealedto keep out dirt and muck.

Canyon offers a wide range of sizes from XXXS up to XXL. The two smallest sizes run 650B wheels, a carryover from Canyons womens line. The smaller wheels promise a better fit for small riders while also improving handling. Traditionally, small bikes have slack head tube angles and compromised geometries to accommodate the big wheels on a small frame. This leads to sluggish handling and ill-performing bikes, according to Canyon. With the XXXS and XXS Inflite cross bikes, small riders will get the same ride experience as larger riders. The catch, however, is the 650B wheel platform has a limited number of wheel and tire options for racing.

Theres no doubt Canyons made an exceptional bike with the Inflite. The spec sheet leaves us wanting a bit more.Canyon offers three builds including a SRAM Rival 1, SRAM Force CX1, and Shimano Ultegra 2x drivetrain. We would love to see an electronic shifting option.Where mechanical drivetrains gum up and miss shifts with sand and dirt, electronic drivetrains maintain crisp shifting long into sloppy races. Canyon acknowledges this hole in the build options and says an Ultegra Di2 version is coming. There are whispers of a newUltegra Di2 group launching soon, so Canyonsimply decided to wait for the new, rather than launch a model with the old.

Of course the cornerstone to Canyons global success has been in its competitive pricing, and the Inflites threespec options aredefinitely priced to be competitive within an ever-crowded marketplace. The Rival model is $2,999, with the Ultegra and Force models coming in at $3,299 and $3,999 respectively.Thats a whole lot of bike for a reasonable price. Canyon saystop professionals will racethe Inflite CF SLX later this fall and early in 2018.

My first taste ofthe Inflite CF SLX came atthe iconic Zonhoven Superprestige cyclocross course in Belgium. The notoriously tricky course features a steep and sandy plunge down De Kuil (The Ditch) along with bumpy terrain, more sand, and steep run-ups.

De Kuil is a legitimately scary obstacle. The descent is a25-percent gradient wall of deep sand that swallows your front wheel if youre not completely off the back of your saddle. My first run at the sandy hill went surprisingly smoothly. The Inflitefelt stable, and it didnt dart around in the choppy sand. Ilet the brakes go, sat back, and the bike surfed its way down the descent without much guidance from the cockpit.

The bikes stability was noticeable on another downhill section on the other side of the course as well. The Inflite deftly maneuvered through a smooth left-hand corner at the bottom of a steep descent, holding its line for an easy transition into the next section of trail. The Inflite maintained a snappiness up small kickers and ripped through corners without excessive rider input.

Zonhovens Superprestige cyclocross course lies within a large park that is crisscrossed bysingle-track mountain bike trails and gravel roads. Taking the Inflite on some of these twisty trails showcased the bikes nimble steering. It was especially adept at quick line changes at high speeds.

Despite Belgiums rainy weather, we didnt get the chance to test the Inflites mud clearance capabilities. From its looks, there seems to be plenty of room between the frame and tire for shedding mud unless you hit some peanut butter mud, and in that case, no extra room, frame design, or special paint matters. Only a spare bike and mechanic with a power washer will make a difference.

After a few days on the course, I came away impressed with the quick handling and sturdy platform, and it was a smooth ride over aggressive chatter. The aesthetic of that kinked top tube still looks odd to me,though. The brain says yes the superb ride and engineering behind it makes sense but my eyes still bulge at the sight of that unorthodox design. But hey, any bike looks good underneath the first rider to cross the finish line. With the Inflite, the proof will be in the results.

CF Community Church mission trip changes lives | Carolina Forest … – Myhorrynews

Posted: at 6:21 pm

Thomas Critelli went to Costa Rica to help change other peoples lives, but his was changed as well.

One of 13 people who went on a recent Carolina Forest Community Church [CFCC] mission trip, the 22-year-old said the blind faith and sheer joy of the Costa Rican people made him want that for himself.

They have so little, but they have so much joy, and they worship like crazy, and I realized I want more of that in my own life.

Faith Weaver, a rising sophomore at Carolina Forest High School, said her perspective was also changed on the trip.

Weavers father Scott accompanied the 15-year-old on this trip, which she said wont be her last.

The people are in need, but theyre so happy all the time, she said. That helped me see that in the U.S., we are so focused on things, and we are always thinking about what we need or what we want. We cant just let ourselves be happy.

In partnership with Praying Pelicans Missions, the local church has committed to making Inglesia Biblica in La Cruz its sister church, and helping it create a sports-oriented ministry similar to the one Carolina Forest Community Church already has.

Carolina Forest Community Church is at 1381 Carolina Forest Blvd. The website is http://www.carolina forest.org and services are at 9:15 and 11 a.m. Sunday mornings.

The Costa Rican church has been established for about 40 years, but when its current minister, Pastor Gerado Cerdas Rojas, came on about five years ago, attendance was down to about 10 people.

They were struggling, and we want to help them minister in their own community, said Charles Fox, family pastor at CFCC.

That churchs dream is to have a sports ministry, most likely through soccer, and thats where Carolina Forest Community Church differs from other churches. We have that here.

My dream is to see the two churches come together and utilize the same kind of ministry, he said.

Their focus is reaching children through sports, and we have that on our campus now.

Although the local church has sent missionaries to places such as Africa and Romania and closer to home in Kentucky, outreach pastor Brody Hillman said CFCC has narrowed its focus to Costa Rica because its a good fit for us.

Hillman said the church was looking for an affordable location for local church members to go where their ministry was needed, and the Costa Rican trip was $1,800 per person.

The folks who went on the mission trip raised their own money, and about $200 - $300 of it went towards a construction project in La Cruz.

The original plan was to build sidewalks, Fox said, but because of severe flooding issues, the plan changed.

The Carolina Forest group dug a trench and put in concrete piping to keep the water away from the church building.

That was, Fox said, a bigger need.

One of the most impressive events of the week-long trip for Weaver was the buying and distribution of about $1,000 worth of food to the locals in the Costa Rican village.

Weaver said they took 10 bags per day for three days to locals homes, praying with them, talking with them, and inviting them to a huge Wednesday evening meal at the church.

It was an epic feeding night with worship music and fellowship, and it was awesome, she said.

Fox said Inglesia Biblicas pastor knew none of the 100 or so people who showed up.

They were all people wed met and invited during those three days, Fox said.

Hillman will lead another trip to La Cruz Nov. 4-10, and Critelli and Weaver both plan to be part of it.

Or, text the words COSTA RICA followed by the amount you want to give to 843-353-1558.

Sometimes we think were going on a mission trip to help those people, but it was them working in and through us that helped us see their sweet passion, Critelli said.

9 Childfree Women Explain What Life Is Like Without Kids …

Posted: at 6:20 pm

I was recently working in a caf when a dad strolled in with his toddler daughter. They set up shop at the table next to me and it immediately became 10 times harder to focus on my writing. Kid was cute. Like, unbearably soshe was around two years old with full cheeks, wide eyes, and a cap of caramel-colored hair that turned up at the ends. She excitedly announced every dog she saw outside, and she face planted into a croissant in a way that really spoke to me.

A few years ago, seeing such a blatant display of adorableness would have made me excited to be a mother . I always assumed I'd have children, and that little girl would have only reinforced that idea. But I've recently realized having children is a choice, not something that will inevitably happen to me without my say. While I'm still undecided, the following nine women have decided they're in the childfree camp . Although they're quite happy with their choices, they acknowledge that there are both upsides and downsides (just as there are if you decide to have kids). Here, they discuss how being childfree affects their lives, from dating to nosy strangers to reclaiming their sense of purpose.

"After my doctors told me it would be difficult to have kids due to a medical condition, I got used to the idea of it. The luxury of not having children has allowed me to always be on the go, and I can't imagine it any other way. But to be completely honest, sometimes I do wonder if it's the right choice. Then I see my friends who had kids young and couldn't do things like finish school, pursue their careers, or travel.Combined with my tainted view of relationships I see so many of my friends struggling to raise kids on their ownI'm satisfied with my decision." Katie S., 26

"I'm the classic 'I didn't like kids even when I was a kid' person. I spent several years looking for a doctor who would sterilize me, but no one would do it unless I was married and had two kids. Luckily, I'm married to a woman, so it's not an issue anymore. I've never doubted my decision.

People always expect me to love kids because I love doing things children enjoy like going to the petting zoo and doing silly craft projects. But you don't have to have a toddler to go to the science center, I promise you. And sometimes it seems like I don't check off the boxes to be a 'real' adult unless I've had a baby. Small talk at the bank will turn into a bank teller grilling me about my life choices and my sex life, which is frankly not a good sales technique. But now that I'm older, strangers are less aggressive about thrusting their viewpoints on me." Cori C., 31

"Eversince I knew it was a choice, I haven't wanted children.I've never had the desire on a biological level, and I wish the question 'Why DO you want them?' were just as valid in our society. What I do have is a deep desire to leave a legacy, but I find it very fulfilling to create that through my business and my creative projects.

In my 20s, I got a lot of 'Oh, you'll change your mind' from friends and even my ob/gyn . I'm finally at an age where people respect my decision, but there are some downsides. The worst part of it is feeling alienated from my best friends whose lives change when they have kids." Ciara P., 37

"When I was 13, I was helping out at a daycare that had kids from a few months to 10 years old. I experienced teething babies, installing car seats, first periods, and 'early onset teenager condition' (yes, I made that up). It showed me some of what parents go through on a regular basis, and I want no part of it.

If I tell people like my mother, a random nosy person who asks, or my ob/gyn that I'd rather remain childfree, I'm usually met with disbelief and then dismissed with, 'Wait until you get married. You'll change your mind.' The truth is that every once in a while, I do question whether it's the right decision. Then I just go curl up with a book and enjoy the childless silence." Jasmine W., 23

"When I was younger, my friends would talk about what they would name their babies. I'd come up with a list of names too, but I was really thinking about them for future pets. Don't get me wrongI have a tremendous amount of respect for people who decide to become parents. ButI don't want my worth as a woman to hinge on my choice to have or not have children.

Luckily, my support system including my husband, parents, and extended family have been respectful of my choice. I feel sad when other women get pushed into thinking that their decision not to have children isn't 'legitimate.' I want other women to know that it is OK to just be a woman, not a mother." Kristen M., 26

"There are so many things I want for myself that having children could inhibit: travel, luxury, freedom. Also, depression and alcoholism run strong in my family, and the world today is not so kind! My parents have always respected my decision not to have kids. My sister, on the other hand, feels strongly that I should have them. She often jokes that when I change my mind in my mid-40s, shell go to the fertility clinic with me or help me with adoption.Ive also met many ob/gyns who refuse to tie my tubes . Even my current one indicated that she would only consider it in two years when Im 38. "Jessica B., 36

"I knew I didn't want children when I was about 11 years old, although I briefly revisited the question in my late 20s when I had a partner who really ** wanted them. But my current partner tried to get a vasectomy when he was 15we're so on the same page.

My job deals with sex and sexuality, so I live a pretty alternative life. From what Ive seen of human nature, many people would not be kind to a child of mine. To fully do the work that I do, Ive chosen not to have a traditional family. Ive had people imply that Ive made the wrong life choices because it meant I wouldnt have kids. But its not a womans job to have children.

Also, I was born not that long after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After learning about that and Holocaust concentration camps, I was left with the overwhelming sense that we had created an increasingly dangerous world. When I browse Google News, I am actively grateful that I dont have to fear for my children." Carol Q., 58

"Around age 26, I realized having kids was a choice, not a requirement.I'm not maternal, and I can't imagine having them. Potential partners have met my decision with hostile reactions; I'm single because I haven't found anyone who wants to also remain childfree. I keep meeting men who become very offended that they can't change my mind. Loved ones have gotten used to it, but I still think my parents wish things were different. But I know what's right for me. I enjoy a full life and am not missing anything." Sophia M., 34

"When I was 10 years old,I turned to my mom and said I didn't want to have kids. She laughed and responded that I was a bit young to decide that and I might change my mind. But I've never had a biological clock go off at all, and I think my mom resigned herself to the fact that she won't be a grandmother. She used to think I'd change my mind when I met the 'right' person, but I told her the right person would be someone who didn't want or have kids.

I actually worked in childcare and as a preschool teacher for over 15 years, I've just never felt the need to have any kids of my own. I don't worry about my legacy or carrying on my name because I'm doing what I need to right now: making the most of each day and not worrying out what may happen after I'm gone." Rachel W., 46

USC mascot squabble: Trojan horse for political correctness? – Fox News

Posted: at 6:20 pm

In California, the raging U.S. cultural battle over Civil War icons has spread to the names of horses.

At the University of Southern California, a student group has declared the equine mascot of the schools Trojans football team to be a symbol of white supremacy.

Why? Because the horse bears a name similar to that of a steed that belonged to Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.

The USC football horse is called Traveler (one L), while Lees horse was known as Traveller (two Ls).

The student groups leader voiced her disapproval of the home team horses name earlier this week, at an on-campus rally to protest last weeks violence in Charlottesville, Va.

White supremacy hits close to home, Saphia Jackson, co-director of the USC Black Student Assembly, told fellowstudents, in pointing out the similarity in the horses names, student newspaper the Daily Trojan reported.

The Black Student Assembly didnt respond to a Fox News inquiry on whether the group wanted Traveler renamed or removed.

The renewed debate on public symbols of the Confederacy has sparked a discussion at USC on whether the horse mascots name is a coincidence, or possibly a nod to its namers sympathy to the Southern cause.

Naming the USC mascot Traveler started nearly 56 years ago, after a rideron horseback galloped acrossthe Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum field during a Trojans home game. It was supposed to be a one-time stunt, but quickly became a school tradition, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The original rider of Traveler, Richard Saukko, died in 1992 -- withoutofficially confirming whether the name Traveler was intended as a homage toLees horse.

His widow, Patricia Saukko, however, denied the accusations, calling the kerfuffleabout the name a hysteria and a political issue.

The problem is this: Maybe three weeks ago it was fine, she told the L.A. Times. So now the flavor of the day is ... we all have to be in hysteria....Its more of a political issue. The horse isnt political and neither am I.

Over at USC theyre nonpolitical about their horse, she added. What if their name would be Lee? Would they want to change it? It doesn't make any difference. ...Hes a wonderful horse and a great mascot.

The widow also notedthat the spelling of the name is different -- andwhen her husband bought the horse in 1958, the name had already been picked.
