What Are Analysts Saying About Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)’s Short Term Indicators? – Nelson Research

Short-term trading can be extremely risky, though it can also be extremely lucrative. The term short-term trading is a trading strategy that can last for only a few minutes or last several days or weeks. Traders and investors must fully understand both the rewards and risks each potential trade in order to succeed at this strategy. Traders must be able to identify quality short-term trading opportunities alongside protecting themselves from any unforeseen events. All known information about a companys management, earnings and all other factors are already priced into the stock, so gaining an advantage over everyone else requires that traders use technical analysis to understand what is happening in the markets.
Technical analysis is the process of evaluating stocks or markets using previous prices and patterns in order to predict the future. Its an important tool to help traders understand how to make profits while others are unsure. Buy and Sell Indicators are used to determine the right time to buy and/or sell. Two of the most popular ones are the stochastic oscillator and the relative strength index (RSI). The RSI compares the inside weakness or strength. Typically, a reading of 70 indicates a topping pattern, while a reading below 30 shows an oversold stock. The stochastic oscillator is helps traders to decide whether or not a stock is expensive or cheap based on the assets closing price range over a specified period of time. A reading of 80 indicates that the stock is overbought and the stock is oversold with a reading of 20.
Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)s 7-Day Average Directional Indicator, a short-term indicator used to determine the market trend, is Sell. Their 7-Day Average Directional Strength, the strength of the signal compared to its historical performance where Maximum is the strongest this signal has been and Minimum is the weakest, is Minimum. Finally, their 7-Day Average Directional Direction, which whether the Buy or Sell signal is strengthening or weakening or whether a Hold signal is heading towards a buy or a sell, is Weakest. Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)s 10-8 Day Moving Average Hilo Channel, a short-term indicator that calculates the moving averages on the High and Low prices, rather than the Close, is Sell, their 10-8 Day Moving Average Hilo Strength, which is the strength of the signal compared to its historical performance where Maximum is the strongest this signal has been and Minimum is the Weakest, is Minimum. Finally, the companys 10-8 Day Moving Average Hilo Direction, which indicates whether the Buy or Sell signal is strengthening or weakening or whether a Hold signal is heading towards a Buy or Sell signal is Weakest.
Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)s TrendSpotter Opinion, the signal from Trendspotter, a Barchart trend analysis system that uses wave theory, market momentum & volatility in an attempt to find a general trend, is Hold. The Open is the start of trading on a securities exchange. The open indicates the start of an official business day for an exchange, meaning that transactions may begin for the day. The different exchanges have different opening times. Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF) opened at $0.964. Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)s high, highest trade price for the day, was $0.964. Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)s lowest trade price for the day was $0.964 and finally, Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)s last trade price was $0.964.
A 52-week high/low is the highest and lowest share price that a stock has traded at during the previous year. Investors and traders consider the 52-week high or low as a crucial factor in determining a given stocks current value while also predicting future price movements. When a commodity trades within its 52-week price range (the range that exists between the 52-week low and the 52-week high), investors usually show more interest as the price nears either the high or the low. One of the more popular strategies used by traders is to buy when the price eclipses its 52-week high or to sell when the price drops below its 52-week low. The rationale involved with this strategy says that if the price breaks out either above or below the 52-week range, there is momentum enough to continue the price fluctuation in a positive direction. Nanotech Security Corp (NTSFF)s high over the last year was $1.2 while its low was $0.7293.

The war on drugs is back. Will psychedelic drug research survive? – The Verge
Posted: at 11:28 am
After the 1970s Controlled Substance Act criminalized all psychedelics, there was a long period of silence in US psychedelic research. That has changed in the last 20 years; since 2002, as many as 26 studies were approved, including landmark research on MDMA-assisted therapy for veterans suffering PTSD. But with President Donald Trump in office, is the resurrected research movement in danger?
The people really calling the shots are those far closer to Trump than those running the FDA.
It depends. Two agencies are crucial for the burgeoning field: the US Food and Drug Administration and the Drug Enforcement Agency. Some researchers see the Trump FDA as potentially helpful, since new commissioner Scott Gottlieb has made statements in favor of scaling back regulations. Other researchers are leery of the DEA. Thats because the DEA is overseen by the Department of Justice under the supervision of Jeff Sessions, who has requested that Congress allow him to prosecute marijuana cases in states that have legalized medical marijuana. Its not yet clear which agency will set the psychedelic agenda, and increased enforcement action from the Justice Department could scare scientists away from the field.
I do feel very optimistic," says Rick Doblin, executive director of psychedelic research nonprofit MAPS, a leading funder of psychedelic research. "One of the Trump administration's main things is lower regulation. They're pro business and pro making it easier for Big Pharma to get drugs through the FDA. And that benefits us."
But the FDA isnt as far up the food chain as other influential agencies. DEA licenses are required for psychedelic research. And Trump has given Attorney General Sessions plenty of leeway in drug policy, says Erik Altieri, executive director of marijuana-focused nonprofit NORML. It seems that the people really calling the shots are those far closer to Trump than those running the FDA, says Altieri. The proof will be in the pudding here about who actually sways Trump's opinion, and what he will be willing to tolerate.
Psychedelics remain Schedule 1. They are categorized among a class of substances purported to have no medical application and high risk of abuse, and bearing the harshest penalties for recreational use. Any clinical use of psychedelics in the US must go through a rigorous DEA licensing and FDA approval process.
Many researchers hope that the FDA will maintain the framework developed by a unit called Pilot Drug Evaluation Staff, which first greenlit pilot studies with psychedelics in the early 1990s. Before, the FDA had denied approving or shelved research protocols with psychedelics. But in large part because of practices established by Pilot Drug, like expedited drug review and direct scientist-to-scientist communication between researchers and the FDA, psychedelic research restarted, and has only gained momentum since.
The FDA is fairly apolitical, says psychedelic research chemist and pharmacologist David Nichols. He is the president of the Heffter Research Institute, which has funded 12 FDA-approved clinical psychedelic studies since Pilot Drug. Congress would have to push to change that, and he doesnt believe that will happen. We're just a flea on the back of this dog.
Though the FDA is more friendly to psychedelics than ever before, getting the approval to test compounds is a long and complicated process. Doblin hopes that Trumps FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb will simplify it, thanks to a key Trump administration talking point: deregulation. Gottliebs public statements endorse cutting regulatory processes in favor of quickened drug approvals though he hasnt specifically addressed psychedelic research.
But deregulation has risks. Regulations are not arbitrary rules; each is set in place for a specific reason. They are designed to reduce risk during studies and prevent harm to patients after drugs go to market. The unintended consequences [of deregulating] would require so much wisdom on the part of the people making the changes to be staggering, says Dan Spyker, a former medical officer for the FDAs Pilot Drug and deputy division director. You can't just say, 'Well, I'm going to cut the regs.' It's complicated.
Jag Davies, director of communications strategy at Drug Policy Alliance, agrees. Overall I would be more concerned about the danger of erasing our food and drug safety standards than excited about the possibility of easier psychedelic research, says Davies. I don't think ultimately that's a good thing.
Another federal department has begun to set an increasingly conservative tone towards illicit drugs under Trump: the Department of Justice, which oversees the DEA.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions renewed drug war highlighted by his two-page memo ordering DOJ staff to pursue harsher sentences for drug offenders, and by his pitch to Congress that the DOJ should be allowed to prosecute medical marijuana providers has already given drug reform advocates new reason to worry. We've really stepped into mass mobilization of preparing for the worst, quite frankly, says NORMLs Altieri.
Marijuana is not a psychedelic, and yet its subject to even stricter research regulation. In addition to the requisite DEA and FDA sign-offs, the National Institute on Drug Abuse must supply the cannabis for all studies. Marijuana is legal in eight states and permitted for medical use in 30, so a hardline stance on marijuana is likely to chill all research on illicit drugs, says Altieri. Psychedelics arent legal anywhere, so getting approval for a drug like psilocybin might seem like a bigger ask to regulators, he says.
Historically, Health and Human Services which supervises FDA defers to the DOJ when it comes to drug policy, says Davies. For instance, during Bill Clintons presidency, HHS secretary Donna Shalala proposed federally funded needle exchanges a harm-reduction program. Drug czar Barry McCaffrey overruled her. Psychedelics researchers must obtain DEA licenses to conduct their studies; if Sessions wants to block drug research, he can make the license application process harder, Davies says.
Though researchers know more than ever about psychedelic drugs and some studies have found promising potential uses for them none of the research renaissance has translated into law enforcement policy. These laws target people of color and low-income communities, and mandate incarceration for possession. Sessions is unwilling to consider research suggesting medical marijuana may actually help some people; it is unlikely hell push for any kind of reform for psychedelics, either. And hes taken a hard line on sentencing.
MAPSs Doblin thinks MDMA will be made legal for prescription use, in tandem with psychotherapy, by 2021. But, he adds, I can feel both optimistic, and it's still a long road ahead. He views Sessions hard line on sentencing as the other sort of counterpoint to his optimism.
Despite their working relationship with the FDA, researchers are fearful that a Sessions-led Justice Department might undo all the progress made since the 90s.Its just so scary Jeff Sessions and the drug war, and that we would go backwards after all this work and money, says Ann Mithoefer, co-therapist on the ongoing MDMA-assisted psychotherapy and PTSD studies funded by MAPS, alongside her husband Michael. Even Doblin acknowledges that the overarching political climate is very negative.
Mithoefer and Doblin continue to place their trust in the FDA, even though the DOJ is becoming more hostile. A May 11th meeting with the FDA about the Mithoefers MAPS-funded MDMA Phase 3 protocol was beyond positive, Doblin says. We came to an agreement on all the elements of the studys design.
The biggest challenge for the study right now isnt federal regulation. Its fundraising. Most US voters dont support legal medical use of most illicit drugs, so funding is difficult. And thats one final place where Trump administration policy may bog down psychedelic research.
The Trump administration tends to make decisions about mental health care and substance abuse treatment without consulting the body of scientific literature thats built up over the decades. Trumpcare restricts access to mental health care and substance abuse treatment programs. Thats because the highest priority appears to be budget cuts. So Gottliebs hands-off rhetoric might not mean much, since HHS secretary Tom Price is more interested in defunding his department than deregulating it. Trumps proposed budget for 2018 has a 16.2 percent cut for HHS.
Psychedelic research has never received government grants from HHS departments, relying instead on donors to nonprofits like MAPS and Heffter. So, the current administrations intent to slash the US science budget wont matter there. But if more scientists have to find private funding to continue their work, psychedelics may no longer be a priority for donors.
Thats a setback. In fact, Heffters Nichols had hoped the recent surge in compelling clinical data would encourage HHS to lend its funding support to psychedelic research. The studies are expensive; they can cost more than a million dollars. But if independently funded work had shown enough benefits, Nichols thought, it seemed possible that government funding might be forthcoming. That hope died when Trump took office.
"The funding will be the biggest problem, Nichols says. I don't see legal problems, I don't see clinical problems so much. The real problem I see is what the proposed Trump budget would do, not just to psychedelic research, but to biomedical research in general. And it would be a real disaster."
Stephie Grob Plante is the daughter of Charles Grob, a clinical psychedelic researcher and Heffter board member. He was not consulted for this story.

From your bong to your broomstick.
Cannabis has been included in magical, religious, and spiritual rites for millennia, from Hindu sadhus who use cannabis as a prayer to Lord Shiva to Coptic Christians who burned it on altars as a devotional offering. Witches and warlocks, too, have had a long history with this helper, utilizing it for everything from medical remedies to summoning spirits. Cannabis and hemp were both staples in folk traditions. In his 1653 Complete Herbal, author Nicholas Culpeper wrote of the plant: This is so well known to every good housewife in the country, that I shall not need to write any description of it.
Some classic uses for cannabis were in spells and rites dedicated to healing, love, money drawing, visions, and meditation. Lovestruck witches would wander out under the midsummer full moon to sprinkle hemp seeds while circling a church nine times in hopes of seeing their true love(s). Witches attempting to see into the future would burn an incense made of cannabis, mugwort, coltsfoot, and angelica in front of a magic mirror, watching for signs in the reflection of the glass.
Perhaps the most infamous usage of cannabis in magic is its inclusion in the famed Witchs Flying Ointment. Blended with other mind-altering substances like opium poppies, morning glories, datura, belladonna, and nightshade and mixed with butter or lard, witches would smear it on their broomsticks and ride them, flying off in ecstatic, orgasmic bliss. Modern witches can replicate this by blending cannabis with small amounts of other entheogens like ayahuasca, cyanescens (magic mushrooms), and of course poppies. For an entirely legal version, cunning folks can create a weed blend with blue lotus, wild asparagus root, and mugwort. Make a tincture or decoction from your herbal blend and mix it with coconut oil for a bewitching lube to help you open up and push into the Universe with lust and love.
But you can also turn your cannabis use into a magical act. Do you like to work with crystals? The next time youre having a puff while studying sacred texts or reading tarot, try smoking a sativa that enhances concentration through a pipe made of lapis lazuli, a stone known for facilitating intellectual activity, augmenting learning, and improving memory. You can also keep stones with your weed, or use fruit or vegetables with magical connotations as pipes: apples for love spells, cucumbers before attempting dream or astral work, and potatoes and other root veggies for grounding energy after a ritual.
For an abundance spell, mix a little ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg, or thyme, basil, and mint, into fresh water and carefully paint sigils, a wish, or words of power onto a hemp rolling paper and let it dry. Roll up a joint and smoke it to release the energy into the Universe. Alternately, make some edibles with these spice blends, like cinnamon oatmeal raisin cookies. Dont forget to press a magical symbol into the top of the cookie.
Last but not least, smoking from a bong or bubbler is a special way for weed witches to commune with all the elements: Earth is represented by cannabis, fire is the fire you light your bowl with, air is your breath, and water is in the bottom of the bong. Make sure you charge your bong water, too, by thinking some good vibes at it.

Happy days as Boks wake up from a trance – Citizen
Posted: at 11:25 am
It was a crystal clear indication that he was mulling things over before talking about the history which had been unrolled before him in the 35-12 Springbok victory over the Tricolores.
Well, he eventually said, that was truly worth watching. And though I have mentioned on several occasions in the past that I would never have the temerity to claim any expertise as a rugby pundit, it does strike me that the difference between this seasons Springboks and the disjointed team which turned out last year is astounding.
The nods from the usual suspects who go to make up the company which habitually assembles to watch sport over the weekends, showed graphically that they were in full agreement with the Silent One.
It is almost as if some enchanted being had suddenly arrived and awoken them from a deep sleep. And while it would be stretching the bounds of credulity to draw the comparison with Sleeping Beauty, for it strikes me that several players are lucky they can play rugby because they certainly are not pretty. It all seems to be working swimmingly for the Boks.
At this juncture it must be said that the oblique reference to the classic tale by the Brothers Grimm went straight past theArithmetically-challenged Golfer, a self-styled expert who tends to take himself far too seriously. But he did pick up on the dearth of film star looks in the Bok side.
Ill give you that Eben Etzebeth is not exactly an oil painting, but what do you want a Springbok forward to look like? Brad Pitt?
You also miss the point that his job is to help fire up the motor in the South African scrum, not pose for pictures. It was a point the Silent One was more than willing to concede, but couldnt resist adding a rider to.
I am sorry if I said anything to upset you over your favourite player. This was not my intention at all. I think though that the Boks seem to have a new purpose and a more concentrated direction. It is almost as if they have collectively shaken their heads and awoken to what it is they are doing out in the middle.
There are very few sides who could lose a captain like Warren Whiteley on the very eve of a Test match and throw Etzebeth in at the deep end as a replacement skipper, reshuffle the scrum to include a debutant, start with a stand-by scrumhalf and still come up with the goods. It truly points to a team who are confident in what they do and play together as a disciplined unit.
That opening of the conscious about what it means to operate as a team and play for one another rather than as a bunch of directionless individuals, strikes me as being the prime factor. In this summation, the Silent One showed that his understanding of the game of rugby football was perhaps far deeper than he owned up to.
Now, he said, if the South African cricket side are able to embrace this aspect, I am sure they would do far better. It is now a matter of record that this passed the Proteas by in their T20 against England in Cardiff, losing by 19 runs for yet another flop in the shortest form of the game.
Not surprisingly perhaps, the Silent One had heeded his own warnings and had not arrived to watch.

bob’s guide to treasury management systems: How to avoid disruption during TMS implementation – Bobsguide (press release)
Posted: at 11:24 am
So far in the bobs guide to treasury management systems series, weve looked at how organisations can determine whether they need a TMS, the kinds of systems that are available, and what treasury professionals should consider before making their selection. Now its time for the nitty gritty implementation.
As weve covered in previous instalments of the series, the importance of ensuring a new treasury system is properly implemented cannot be understated. Get it wrong and not only might the new software make everyday operations more cumbersome and less efficient, but the treasury team will be driven back to old systems, and the time and resources taken to install the solution will have been wasted.
You might have chosen the right system, but if its mis-implemented, or ill-implemented, then your user wont be able to use it. Theyll go back to the spreadsheet, says Dimos Dimitriadis, partner and founder of consultancy Treasury Technology Associates.
Its a concern shared by many of you when it comes to TMS implementation. In our treasury management systems survey among bobsguide readers, conducted earlier this year, difficulty integrating new solution seamlessly with existing systems emerged as the top concern about implementing a TMS, with 62% respondents selecting it, closely followed by cost, at 58%.
By working closely with the vendor, and a consultancy if necessary, treasury teams can ensure their new system is optimally configured for their everyday operations. But during this transitional period, which calls upon many different players with many different roles, how can treasury teams avoid disruption to their day-to-day operations? The first step is preparation.
How can my treasury team prepare for the TMS implementation process?
Before implementation even begins, treasury teams must organise which personnel are going to be involved, and who will work closest with the vendor during the process. We covered assembling a team in an earlier instalment of this series. The next step is establishing a relationship with the vendor.
Patrick Cannon, head of professional services and customer success for SaaS provider Reval, says that the key to successful implementation is to involve the vendors professional service team early in the pre-sales process. Engagement starts with an understanding and alignment of the clients vision, he says.
Corporate treasury teams need to have better alignment internally as well, he adds. [They need] a clear understanding and commitment to achieving the business goals in a deployment, top to bottom.
Where projects succeed or fail is measured by the organisations clarity of vision and designation of an executive sponsor there needs to be an internal counterpart to the vendor who works in step to achieving value in the relationship.
Mathilde Sanson, chief client officer at cloud treasury solutions provider Kyriba, says that assuming evaluation of the TMS is complete, and that an extensive list of requirements was identified during that stage, the implementation process will be smoother, guided with clear business requirements.
To prepare for a TMS implementation, she says, a treasury team should understand the strategic functions of the organisation that they wish to automate, where in their workflows they would benefit from increased financial controls, security, auditability.
She continues: Having their requirements understood by the implementation consultants will help to ensure the project is completed according to plan.
Cannon suggests a straightforward way of confirming mutual understanding of the project, and what it is expected to deliver: If I were part of a corporate treasury team, I would want professional services to articulate my vision back to me to make sure they understand what I want to achieve, and leave no stone unturned when it comes to functionality and what the system can do.
What are some setbacks we need to be prepared for?
With so many individuals from different teams involved in TMS implementation, and many moving parts in the system itself, its expected to hit a few obstacles on the journey. What should treasury teams expect, and how can they prepare for any setbacks?
Many project risks can be identified during the discovery process and mitigation plans can be made, Sanson says. Good communication and a prepared client-vendor team can resolve and smooth out most bumps on the implementation road.
For Cannon, sticking to project best practices, including open communication, regular status reports, and strong governance, is crucial for keeping the wheels moving. Dont underestimate the commitment to getting this right, he says.
Depending on the complexity of the system, and the nature of the organisation, it can take six, 12, even up to 18 months to fully implement a TMS. Theres a risk the project will lose momentum, that the project will take even longer, that it will be disruptive, and treasury teams could lose enthusiasm.
Sanson, like Cannon, recommends executive sponsorship and regularly scheduled status calls to ensure there is ongoing triage and prioritisation to meet goals.
She continues: A treasury team should expect to have a clearly defined process with key milestones and checkpoints identified to recognise progress and maintain quality controls.
Lars Schroeder, senior engagement manager at consultancy SkySparc, says that working with a consultancy can take some of the load off the treasury team during TMS implementation, particularly when it comes to testing.
We help with implementing the new system, by allowing our clients to learn the new system but without doing all the testing which can be boring for them, he says.
Five tips for avoiding disruption during TMS implementation:
Sanson has five tips for treasury teams looking to minimise disruption during TMS implementation:
Establish your team lead and main point of contact. This person should be able to validate processes against the state requirements, she says.
Ensure the initial discovery phase is a priority for your internal stakeholders. Having all the requirements agreed upon up front will greatly reduce day-to-day disruption.
Communicate frequently and clearly about reaching check points and expected milestones. Ensuring everyone on the treasury team understands what should be done and when will keep the project on track.
Set aside a time in the day that you can dedicate to the implementation. If you do this proactively, your meetings will be predictable and according to your schedule. If you cannot free up your staff from day-to-day roles then an external consultant should be hired to have the project move forward.
Enable your vendors implementation team to become your trusted partner. Not only will this increase productivity, but you will also gain more out of the process.
Schroeder says that the key to avoiding disruption is involving the vendor in a smart way, but it will depend on your size and ambition, and how much you want to outsource. If you are smart you can outsource the boring stuff and have your key people be involved in the interesting part.
As is the case with many things, preparation is key to minimising disruption during a TMS implementation project. Success in implementation will depend on assembling the best possible team, ensuring everyone on the team has a defined role, and good communication with the vendor throughout the project.

CF Mller appointed on Robin Hood Gardens replacement scheme – Dezeen
Posted: at 11:21 am
Scandinavian firmCF Mllerhas been appointed alongsideHaworth Tompkinsand Metropolitan Workshop on the housing scheme that will replaceRobin Hood Gardens, the brutalist estate in east London designed byAlison and Peter Smithson.
CF Mller's housing will take the place of the eastern block of the iconic estate, while residences by Haworth TompkinsandMetropolitan Workshop who were appointed to the scheme in 2016 will sit on the site of the west wing.
The plansform part of the300 million regeneration of the Robin Hood Gardens estate in Popular, which is being overseenbySwan Housing Association.
The estate, which was completed in 1974, is currently awaiting its demolition, despite a high-profile campaign to save it as aprime example of the brutalist movement.
Dezeen recently used a drone to film the estate, which is partially deserted and boarded up in preparation for its demolition in the coming weeks.
CF Mller's design will provide 330 homes half of which are to be earmarked as affordable for the regeneration schemeknown as theBlackwall Reach Regeneration Project.
Early visuals show the range of one- to five-bedroom flats contained within a brick-clad block on the edge of the garden that currently separates the two wings of the brutalist estate. This outdoor space with its distinctive mound is the only element of Robin Hood Gardens that will be retained. It is to be re-landscaped and renamed theMillennium Green.
"Our approach to this challenging project is to develop an architectural and place-making response with the focus on designing the best possible new homes within a challenging location," saidCF Mller associate partnerRolf Nielsen.
CF Mller's housing will form phase threeof theBlackwall Reach Regeneration Project, which will see 1,500 apartments, commercial spaces and a mosque packed onto thesite beside Blackwall Tunnel thatcurrently offers 252 homes.
Phase one is currently underway, with 98 homes already on site, alongside the mosque, a community centre and an extension of a neighbouring school. Yet to come in this phase which is set for completion in early 2019 are 242 further homes, as well as shops and cafes.
Phase two is expected to begin imminently, and will see the delivery of four buildings byMetropolitan Workshop and Haworth Tompkins, which are to provide 268 homes.
"We were very impressed by their 'inside-out approach' to design. CF Mller really focused on the people who will live in these new homes and the relationship of the homes to the public realm," said Swan's regeneration and development directorGeoff Pearce.
"They were passionate about ensuring we deliver human-scale street scenes and links into the landscape to offset the impact of the busy external environment," he added.
Robin Hood Gardens is consideredexemplary of new brutalism, an architectural stylegaining its name from the French bton-brut, or raw concrete, used to form the structures.
Architects including Richard Rogers, the late Zaha Hadid, Toyo Ito and Robert Venturi, as well as the Smithson's son, all petitioned to save the estate. But the campaign failed and politicians have been calling for its demolition since.

If youre a regular listener of Jim Gearharts podcast, or you enjoyed his 25-year stint leading New Jersey 101.5s morning show, were not telling you anything new by saying he doesnt enjoy political correctness.
But some stories, Jim says, are more absurd than others.
I just throw these out as a couple of examples of how weve gone stark raving damn mad, Jim says in this weeks installment of the Jim Gearhart Show podcast, available here, on iTunes and Google Play.
How about the story of Professor Bret Weinstein at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash., who had the gall to oppose the schools annual Day of Absence, or rather, this years reversal of it. Traditionally, students and faculty of color would skip out on the campus for a day and meet elsewhere, to show what life would be like when theyre not around. This year, white students and faculty were invited to step away, after minorities expressed concerns they didnt feel safe following the 2016 election.
He was a very liberal person, but he said that was going too far, Jim says. But to Jim, what was really to far was the backlash Weinstein received including threats and harassment.
This is how serious this has gotten, Jim says.
But thats not the only story hes got lined up. Check out the podcast to hear the rest. Email Jim at Jim@NJ1015.com.
