Liberty Energy Secures Acreage in Tx. Lease

Liberty Energy Corp. has recently secured an average 97.9 percent working interest on over 626 acres in Caldwell, Texas.

The Company intends to target 3 main pay zones: the Dale Lime, Austin Chalk and Edwards. New field discoveries based on logged but undeveloped shows are also possible in the Salt Flat and Dale Lime fields. With the application of acid/fracture jobs and/or 'far-out perforating' it is believed that the Company could be able to increase production and possibly access undeveloped reservoirs that could produce at significantly higher daily rates and overall total production.

Typically there is between 2 and 160 acre spacing for well bores in this region. There are currently 385 operators (including Eagle Ford Oil Co., Inc., Luling O&G LLC and Texas Petroleum Investment Co.) and nearly 9,000 wells in Caldwell County. The Salt Flat oil field, (where the Company's 106 acre lease lies) in Caldwell County, is on a fault structure about 20 miles southeast of the main Balcones fault. The area is drained by the San Marcos River, and the main producing formation is the Edwards limestone of the Comanchean Cretaceous. The field is 7.5 miles long and averages about 0.5 mile wide. To date the field has produced over 34 million barrels of oil from a total of around 350 wells. It is further estimated that ultimate recovery will be approximately 30,000 barrels of oil per acre.

There is an old assumption that only the top five (5) feet of the Edwards is productive. However, new field information suggests that there are different producing intervals in the Edwards formation. These intervals are not separated by the normal shale intervals found in other producing formations, but are rather separated by chert layers in the limestone of the Edwards which reduce the permeability to zero. This raises a number of possibilities and traps for production from lower zones in the Edwards.

The Dale conformably overlies the Austin Chalk and is considered to be part of the Austin Group. The Dale Limestone, recognized in the Travis volcanic field east of Austin, is associated more closely with individual volcanic mounds. Dale carbonates are at several stratigraphic horizons on the flanks of mounds, reflecting alternating conditions of volcanism and reef growth. The Dale has reported thicknesses of as much as 423 feet and a mean thickness of about 58 feet.

NATHAN SWEEM: If you want to own a gun, buy it while you still can

Our Constitution has all but been effectively repealed. The thread by which the survival of our Republic hangs is the single sentence of the Second Amendment.

The Second Amendment is not about hunting or sport shooting. It recognizes the right and the duty of the people to keep and bear arms in order to insure the security of our republic.

It is the last resort against tyranny and oppression. Armed citizens are the last line of defense against a foreign invasion or a domestic coup.

Unfortunately, this important amendment has already been significantly diminished with so-called assault weapons bans and other restrictions.

Many people at the state, federal, and international level have been working to outlaw private ownership of guns completely. They have used a long-term strategy to take away this critical right one piece at a time, and we cannot let it continue. If we abandon the Second Amendment, America will most likely descend into the worst police state in history.

The one thing people should fear more than gangs, serial killers, mass murderers, and other violent criminals, is an out-of-control government of monumental proportions, with no one who possesses the means to resist it.

Anti-gay marriage controversy draws crowd to local Chick-fil-As

Call it free speech chicken.

For many who went to eat at Chicago-area Chick-fil-As Wednesday amidst calls to support the company presidents anti-gay marriage stance, it didnt come down to whether they agreed with him or not.

Rather, they said, it was simply to show they supported Dan Cathys right to espouse his beliefs beliefs that they said shouldnt impact whether another Chick-fil-A should be allowed to open in the city.

I came out to support freedom of speech, said Bob Matter, a paralegal and self-described atheist, liberal and supporter of gay marriage. Matter, like hundreds of others, flocked to the Chick-fil-A at 30 E. Chicago. There should be no government limits on what you believe.

Support even came from members of the gay community like Amnwari Ndlay-Owusa, a South African who is a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

As long as I dont get discriminated against, I respect his opinion because its his opinion, he said while eating at the restaurant with friends.

Hall: San Diegans feast on free speech at Chick-fil-A

Americas defining obsessions with fast food and free speech collided in caloric heaven Wednesday as hundreds, if not thousands, of people waited in long lines for up to two hours to have lunch at the Chick-fil-A on Sports Arena Boulevard in San Diego.

Like me, youd probably forgotten there even was a Chick-fil-A on Sports Arena. The last time this place had long lines, it was a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop, and the year was 2002. Times sure have changed.

Wednesday, Americas increased appetite for chicken sandwiches came as part of a national effort by Christians, conservatives and everyday people to show support for Chick-fil-As embattled president and chief operating officer, Dan Cathy. His comments last month against same-sex marriage got people on the right and left of the political spectrum running around like, well, chickens with their heads cut off.

I think we are inviting Gods judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage, Cathy said on a radio show. I pray Gods mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.

Mayors in Boston, Chicago and San Francisco expressed outrage, and the remarks incensed the gay community, whose leaders quickly moved to make it an issue in a year when President Barack Obama has come out in support of same-sex marriage.

Gay-rights advocates planned a national Same-Sex Kiss Day at all Chick-fil-As this Friday, and conservatives countered by ordering an eat-in two days earlier in the name of Christian values.

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee dubbed it Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day and explained his goal on Facebook: Lets affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse.

If you dont know, and I didnt, the Cathy family, which entered the restaurant business in 1946 and opened the first of 1,600 franchised Chick-fil-As in Atlanta in 1967, doesnt open on Sundays.

Its even more overtly Christian than Californias In-N-Out Burger, which references Bible passages on its packaging but not God in its corporate purpose, as Chick-fil-A does.

Maybe because of that, the people who endured warm weather and long lines in San Diego Wednesday did so happily, with the grace and good nature they might have displayed if they were waiting to enter church.
