Liberty Global (Nasdaq: LBTYA) reported earnings on Aug. 2. Here are the numbers you need to know. <\/p>\n

The 10-second takeawayFor the quarter ended June 30 (Q2), Liberty Global met expectations on revenues and missed expectations on earnings per share. <\/p>\n

Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue shrank and GAAP earnings per share expanded. <\/p>\n

Gross margins improved, operating margins dropped, and net margins expanded. <\/p>\n

Revenue detailsLiberty Global chalked up revenue of $2.52 billion. The seven analysts polled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated sales of $2.55 billion on the same basis. GAAP reported sales were 3.6% lower than the prior-year quarter's $2.62 billion. <\/p>\n
