Liberty Professionals denied visiting Wassaman United their fifth win of the season by coming from behind to earn a 1-1 draw in the Week 20 Glo Premier League match on Wednesday at the Sly Tetteh Stadium, Dansoman. <\/p>\n
A blunder by former national goalie Stephen Ahorlu gifted Liberty Professionals an image saving equalizer through substitute Christopher Nkansah four minutes from time after the visitors shot into a surprise lead through Evans Nyarko. <\/p>\n
Wassaman, who are languishing amongst the bottom rungs of the league log displayed an output that contradicted their position matching their hosts squarely in every department of the game. <\/p>\n
Referee Nuhu Yakubu Liman gave out a below par performance that left officials and fans of the host team stunned and visibly disappointment throughout the game. <\/p>\n
Liberty had the first chance at goal on 20 minutes when Latif Salifu laid a perfect pass to Ibrahima Kamara, but the latter shot at the feet of onrushing goalie Ahorlu. <\/p>\n
Few minutes later, Libertys goalie Daniel Agyei was to come to his sides rescue by stretching to his elastic limit to parry wide Nyarkos curling free-kick at the edge of their penalty area. <\/p>\n
The game remained balanced but it was Libertys Salifu who fluffed the best chance of the opening by heading wide from close range from Richard Antwis cross. <\/p>\n
The hosts had the upper hand in the second half but failed to break the deadlock with Kwame Boahene, Francis Morton and Salifu failing to score from close range. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
