A group of athletes are looking for a home away from home. <\/p>\n
The Florence Freedom is currently seeking host families for its players this season. <\/p>\n
These players come from all over, said Shirley Brown, who coordinates the host family program. <\/p>\n
Freedom players arent paid a lot of money and when they get to Florence, they stay with families who open their homes, Brown said. <\/p>\n
Potential hosts are often worried they cant provide for players for a season, but the requirements are simple, she said. <\/p>\n
We dont require them to be fed, Brown said. <\/p>\n
Host families are only asked to provide players with a bedroom and access to laundry and a bathroom. <\/p>\n
Its not a huge disruption to the family, said host Roseanna Koehler. <\/p>\n
Koehler has opened her home to players since the Freedom came to Florence. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
