In the first half, running back Joe Mixon carried the ball 14 times for 142 yards and scored three touchdowns, including a 73-yard punt return, as the host Falcons dominated the Panthers. <\/p>\n

Freedom running backs Marcel Zanders and Malik Jackson also contributed touchdown runs of 2 and 14 yards, respectively, in the first half, and quarterback Dante Mayes completed 4 of 8 passes for 111 yards in the first two quarters. <\/p>\n

Zanders led the defense at linebacker with three sacks of Antioch's Hunter Karnthong in the first half. <\/p>\n

Karnthong completed 13 of 26 passes for 113 yards and kicked a 25-yard field goal as the halftime buzzer sounded. <\/p>\n

Freedom (6-2, 3-0 BVAL), which has won five straight, hosts Deer Valley next Friday and plays at Liberty in the Bell Game on Nov. 2. Antioch (5-3, 0-3) closes its regular season with two games at home, against Liberty next Friday and Pittsburg on Nov. 2. <\/p>\n
