Speaking on International Womens Day, Mrs Morgan denied suggestions that Mr Cameron was an innate sexist, saying that the Prime Minister was in fact a feminist. <\/p>\n
She said: Ive had a conversation with him and actually I think he absolutely is a feminist, hes on the side of women, hes done a huge amount to get women into the Cabinet. <\/p>\n
If you think of all the women who are in the Cabinet at the moment, they are Conservatives. The Lib Dems have not put any women MPs into the Cabinet and the Prime Minister is absolutely on the side of making sure that women have the best possible opportunities, as is the Chancellor, as is actually I think all of my male colleagues. <\/p>\n
Asked if she found the House of Commons, and Prime Ministers Question Time in particular, an intimidating place to be in as a woman, Mrs Morgan went on: I personally dont. <\/p>\n
In fact actually standing up and speaking in the House of Commons is a tiny part of what Members of Parliament do. <\/p>\n
The work we do in our constituencies, in our surgeries, helping people, making the case for our areas to government, that is something that women are absolutely brilliant at doing. <\/p>\n
Earlier this year Mrs Morgan was forced to deny a suggestion that she was not in charge of education policy and that Michael Gove, her predecessor and the current Leader of the House, remained in control of her department. <\/p>\n
