Our Constitution has all but been effectively repealed. The thread by which the survival of our Republic hangs is the single sentence of the Second Amendment. <\/p>\n
The Second Amendment is not about hunting or sport shooting. It recognizes the right and the duty of the people to keep and bear arms in order to insure the security of our republic. <\/p>\n
It is the last resort against tyranny and oppression. Armed citizens are the last line of defense against a foreign invasion or a domestic coup. <\/p>\n
Unfortunately, this important amendment has already been significantly diminished with so-called assault weapons bans and other restrictions. <\/p>\n
Many people at the state, federal, and international level have been working to outlaw private ownership of guns completely. They have used a long-term strategy to take away this critical right one piece at a time, and we cannot let it continue. If we abandon the Second Amendment, America will most likely descend into the worst police state in history. <\/p>\n
The one thing people should fear more than gangs, serial killers, mass murderers, and other violent criminals, is an out-of-control government of monumental proportions, with no one who possesses the means to resist it. <\/p>\n
