Asked about his stance on Second Amendment rights Wednesday evening Feb. 22, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dan Bongino asked the audience to think about what it would be like in Maryland if you had to apply for a permit to practice your religion. <\/p>\n
Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and New York City policeman, said he loves living in Maryland and does not like carrying a gun, but he can't understand why law-abiding, mentally stable citizens must go through an intense screening process in Maryland to carry one, if they choose to do so. <\/p>\n
