Center-right party GERB and the Bulgaria without Censorship coalition have ended failed to reach agreement on forming a government. <\/p>\n
Following two-hour talks on Friday, the consultations were suspended after the two formations had discussed 4 of a total of 18 topics which had been on the agenda of coalition talks with the other parties held since Monday, according to reports of dnevnik.bg. <\/p>\n
Tsetska Tsacheva from GERB (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria) said that there would be no second meeting between the two formations. <\/p>\n
GERB representatives made clear that the two formations had discovered diametrically opposed positions during the talks. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, representatives of Bulgaria without Censorship claimed that GERB had failed to acquaint them with their governance program. <\/p>\n
Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB), which won Bulgaria's general elections on October 5, is holding talks this week with all the remaining parties that made it into the National Assembly. <\/p>\n
On Wednesday, GERBfailed to reach agreement on forming a coalition with right-wing entity the Reformist Bloc, deemed its most natural ally, but it registered a breakthrough with nationalist coalition the Patriotic Front on the following day. <\/p>\n
Bulgaria without Censorship, a coalition led by ex-journalist Nikolay Barekov's party of the same name, ranked sixth in the early elections. It has recently portrayed itself as a centrist political entity, but has frequently changed its ideology. <\/p>\n
The party's leadership announced in a media statement Thursday it was ready to renounce \"many\" of its demands for the sake of stability in Bulgaria and vowed to refrain from attempts at isolating other parties in Parliament. <\/p>\n
Nikolay Barekov, leader of the political formation, decided earlier this week to retain his seat in the European Parliament. <\/p>\n
