During Wednesdays show, Colbert made fun of Redskins owner Dan Snyder, who announced a charity organization for Native Americans. <\/p>\n
Assuming a simple charity could clear up any politically incorrect hiccups, Colberts character decided to found the Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever. His highly stereotypical character, Ching-Chong Ding-Dong, he then assumed would be acceptable. <\/p>\n
I am willing to show [the] Asian community I care by introducing the Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever, he tweeted. <\/p>\n
Despite the jokes intent, it has since sparked outrage and is trending on Twitter under the hash tag #CancelColbert. <\/p>\n
When satire becomes as offensive and hurtful as the thing satirized it is no longer satire, one user tweeted. It is simply more injustice. <\/p>\n
