(POINT PLEASANT BEACH, N.J.) Authorities say DNA testing and other methods will need to be used to identify the four people killed in a motel fire at the Jersey shore. <\/p>\n
Ocean County Prosecutors Office spokesman Al Della Fave (fahv) said Sunday that it wasnt clear when the victims identities would be released. But he said the county medical examiners office hoped to have its work completed within the next few days. <\/p>\n
Della Fave says fire investigators are still working to determine how and where the fire started. <\/p>\n
The blaze broke out around 5:30 a.m. Friday at the Mariners Cove Motor Inn in Point Pleasant Beach. About 40 people were staying there at the time, including some who had lost their homes in Superstorm Sandy. <\/p>\n
Eight others were injured in the fire, three critically. <\/p>\n
