Around 1,700 did not have access to the internet. The district has a total of 25,000 students.<\/p>\n<p>\"Our first priority was addressing which students needed technology,\" Jameson said.<\/p>\n<p>While schools pooled their resources to find laptops, Jameson told ABC-7 that Comcast provided low-cost internet to students who needed it. She said the city of Las Cruces is paying for the internet for the next few months.<\/p>\n<p>Some students live in remote areas without access to internet, Jameson said.
