An estate agent has issued the guide to the places best to live if global nuclear war breaks out. <\/p>\n
Online agents eMoov was forced to issue an apology after facing backlash for the stunt. <\/p>\n
The map highlights the zones which would be wiped out by a nuclear strike on the 20 biggest cities in the UK. <\/p>\n
Along with the map, the estate agent wrote: With tensions between the US and North Korea escalating, eMoov.co.uk has highlighted some options for home buyers, that should (hopefully) keep them clear of any nuclear impact from World War Three. <\/p>\n

A back yard nuclear bunker can be a cool edition to a property, but can also be a pain to construct. <\/p>\n
So rather than hide away, home owners can look to radiation free pockets of the nations to save themselves the trouble. <\/p>\n
Scottish town Dumfries, which has an average house price of 115,929 and Welsh town Aberystwyth, with an average house price of 175,809, would be the best spots for nearby Brits concerned by the possibility of a nuclear WWIII. <\/p>\n
The agents claimed a nuclear strike on London would wipe out most of the commuter belt including Surrey and Essex, as well as towns such as Reading. <\/p>\n

The agent used a web tool called Nukemap to calculate the effects of 100-megaton strikes on London, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Hull, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cambridge, Norwich, Oxford, Bristol, Swansea, Southampton, Brighton, Plymouth, Liverpool and Sheffield. <\/p>\n
It said swathes of the country would become uninhabitable due to a 40-mile thermal radiation radius from each warhead. <\/p>\n
EMoov chief executive Russell Quirk said: Luckily, were out of range from any North Korean missiles, but if the world was to descend into nuclear madness the fallout would mean house prices would probably become irrelevant. <\/p>\n
That said, with buyer demand already at explosive levels compared to the ground zero stock levels available, a nuclear war could see these more affordable areas grow in value as demand for a house still standing outside of an impact zone increases. <\/p>\n
The average house in Margate is 216,134, compared to 209,645 in Clacton-on-Sea. <\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Carlisle, Lancaster and north Wales offer good value homes safe from nuclear destruction. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

One Twitter user said a disturbing amount of research had gone into the guide, and another joked: Nothing says Why not take on a 30-year mortgage like the threat of imminent nuclear war. <\/p>\n
Mr Quirk said that the release was intended as a \"tongue-in-cheek\" response to the news of an escalation of tensions between the US and North Korea. <\/p>\n
\"Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un are a couple of joke characters. Their posturing is akin to two drunk uncles at a wedding pathetically threatening to punch each other,\" he told CNBC via email. <\/p>\n
\"We conceived this as a rather tongue-in-cheek release but on reflection realise that our over enthusiasm may be seen as in poor taste by some and for which I apologise,\" he added. <\/p>\n
The guide was issued after Donald Trump promised fire and fury in response to Kims threat to launch missiles at US territory Guam. <\/p>\n
